Hey, can you do TWST form leaders crushing on/having a s/o with fairy wings please? (Fem or Gender Neutral)
Yes, yes, yes, I know, I'm super late. A lot of things happened and a lot more is still happening, but finally…FINALLY, I'm writing for you again. I hope that, after so much time, this hc is to your liking. Have a nice night.
Riddle
Throughout his childhood, Riddle didn't have the chance to meet many people, much less people with animal features Meeting Chanyan and being in Night Raven for two years, his perspective on human features changed completely.
And at no time did anything racist cross his mind.
Even so, seeing you in your ceremonial robe, with large holes in the back, instead of the hood and pants that he was so used to seeing, was a complete surprise.
If by chance you were to be chosen for Heartslabyul, Riddle would personally take care of arranging your room to your needs, including your uniform. Unfortunately it wast'n the case, for you being sent to Ramshackle, but that virtue of yours wouldn't be monopolized by dust and dirt.
Your visits to his dorm never go unnoticed. The sunlight coming into contact with your wings always creates a beautiful rainbow, even light effects, on the walls or around you.
It's like you have a multi-colored halo following you around wherever you go.
The animals also, for some reason, love to be on your lap. Your sensitive hands, your wings moving in the air, coiled in warm sunlight…
Riddle was fascinated.
You really did look like a fairy… a beautiful garden fairy, straight out of a fairy tale.
And then we can see Riddle's heart start to beat even faster, making his cheeks blush in the process.
Leona
A person with animal features…what a suprise. Although it was unusual to find someone with wings instead of ears and a tail; he also assumed that you were one of that species of bird.
It wasn't until he saw you in the botanical garden, next to a small fountain, surrounded by multiple flowers and plants, that he could see your wings more closely.
They had no feathers, they were transparent.
Anyway… an anomaly or something like that. Nothing that would prevent him from taking his daily nap.
But that was the problem, he couldn't, since the light that filtered through the glass of the botanical garden made your wings radiate and reflected those same rays, causing some to hit his eyes.
It wasn't until he opened his eyes furiously that Leona saw a multicolored aura on your back, accompanied by small flashes of light, as if it were stardust.
“An angel"... was what escaped from his lips, agape, seeing you turn towards him, letting your hair delicately run along the profile of your neck, and a smile formed on your face to greet him.
Leona from now on likes to take his naps with you, allowing himself to be lulled by your non-stop chatter about your land, while he watches your wings flutter delicately, even fragilely.
He is extremely protective of you, not allowing you to visit his dorm since he doesn't trust the strength, or in this case, kindness of his dorm mates… It isn't a dorm that is characterized by being precisely gentle and soft in its touch.
But Leona is. And he loves to feel and run through the multiple bifurcations that your wings have on the tips of his fingers. He loves to feel the small breeze the small movement of your wings generates when you are resting.
And above all, he loves to see your wings relaxed on your bare back first thing in the morning.
Azul
What a beautiful and peculiar sight, something new to investigate. Even manipulate. It's not every day you see a fairy at school.
Let's agree that Azul was one of the few people who remembered that Malleus was half fairy, and that… after countless failed attempts to ask and experience his race, your figure appearing through the doors of the Monstro Lounge was like a sign directly from heaven.
Obviously you weren't there for Azul, no. You had entered simply and plainly to see the multiple aquatic creatures that had been mentioned to you on the surface, but you were unable to see them from so close. So, what better place to have an excursion to the sea than the very dorm that housed those very creatures.
Azul, seeing he was being ignored over a common fish, was about to kick you out of the lounge, with the excuse of “no drink, no show”
And he was close, ohhh, he was so close…but when his eyes saw your transparent wings and the way the water distorted even more over them, how your wings generated small rays of sunlight that created paths for the fish and other creatures…he was simply enchanted.
VIP access for the rest of the year.
Azul is always inventing some excuses to go see you. “I brought you a potions book, maybe they will help you for the next exam.” “Jade baked a couple of cookies and asked me to bring them to you.” “I saw you liked a creature from our fish tank, so I brought it to you in a medium-sized one so you can admire it as long as you want.”
“I want to draw your wings” It wasn't the excuse he had planned for this day. His mouth betrayed him when he saw you in a dress characteristic of your lands. You looked so… beautiful.
“Sure, let me open the window to let in some light and sit on the couch.”
He nearly had a heart attack when you sat so delicately on the tangled couch, your ensemble lighting up the whole room.
Gods, Azul was in love with that light you emanated.
Kalim
“When you fly, do you loose fairy dust?” was the first thing Kalim said when he saw you in the ceremonial robe in front of the mirror.
He was ready to take you to Scarabia immediately and leave you under the sun to admire those huge, shiny wings. His disappointment was no less when he heard you're going to Ramshackle.
But that didn't stop him from visiting you, he even spent hours in your dorm next to you, admiring and tracing lines on your wings, tickling you and laughing under your breath.
One day Jamil had to come and take him out by the ears since he was neglecting his duty as dorm leader.
Kalim walked out the door with a face of a wet dog, he even almost started crying. Being away from your wings, from you, broke his heart.
He always found a way to sit next to you in class, he even went into classes that didn't apply to him, just to see you. And obviously he got a hard time from the teachers.
One night, Kalim invited you to a party at his dorm, preparing a grand banquet, a grand decoration, asking his dorm mates to wear their best robes.
And speaking of clothes, Kalim even prepared a change of clothes for you, if you were comfortable with that, obviously. He wasn't going to force you to wear something you felt uncomfortable or unpleasant in.
His face lit up when you told him it was no problem, that you loved to wear multiple and colorful clothes. The bigger your closet, the better.
And his face lit up even more when he saw you descending the stairs in his traditional red and white hindu outfit, adorned with the finest rubies and gold medallions. A bit ostentatious for your taste, but of an exquisite and soft finesse.
But the greatest ornament you wore was not the jewelry, nor the small and half headband that circled from the middle of your forehead back; but your smile. That ear-to-ear smile that he loved to admire so much.
The intention of the evening was to get you dancing, to make you spin to the tune of cheerful music, even to chat for hours. But Kalim was only interested in one thing. And that was the way the starting of your wings was delicately embraced by the soft fabric of the sari.
Vil
“Mirror, mirror on the wall, who is the most beautiful creature in the school?”
It was no surprise for Vil to see his reflection on his huge magic mirror, he was still the most beautiful person in the school…but he was disappointed to know that the same mirror had ignored his question. He didn’t ask about person, but about creature.
Now, don’t get me wrong, your own being was that of a person of flesh and blood, but your structure had a beastly part…like the Savannahclaw motto.
Vil was disappointed not to see your image in the mirror’s reflection.
Yes, Vil was enchanted by the beauty and brightness that characterized fairies, features he had never seen, and that you, who possessed the brightest and most beautiful wings that he had seen in his short life, were in this school specifically for villains…well, it was an opportunity he wasn't going to waste.
Whenever he could, he left his duties as dorm leader to see your profile in the corridors or sitting in the gardens. He admired the silhouette of your back, perfectly upright to support the weight of the wings, although to the naked eye, they gave the sensation of being made of paper, breakable and fragile paper.
Vil fantasized day and night being able to touch them, feel them with the tips of his fingers. He wished with a fierce intensity to be the owner of the laughter and small sounds that would surely be caused by the caresses he oh so deliciously wanted to give you. So much desire happened, without warning.
And from that day on, Vil only had eyes for you, for your figure, for your eyes, for your smile, for your light.
Yes, Vil was initially obsessed with the beauty of your fairy side, but now, deeper in their relationship, Vil was in love with your own beauty.
The way your back curved to change your top garment, the way your hair seemed like a continuation of those transparent wings. The way your figure fit so well with his when taking pictures, as your smile was the most striking thing in the shot.
The way the violet color reflected on the bifurcations of your wings and when the morning light hit them, it generated a beautiful and delicate violet ray.
Vil had never loved the uniform's violet color so much until you tried it on and wished with all his inner fire that you had been assigned to Pomefiore.
Idia
He saw you in flying class, without a broom, and yet you were flying with a grace that even the best flying wizard had.
And not to mention the little sparkles that floated around you as your wings fluttered. He was so mesmerized that he almost knocked over a tree.
Despite his reserved nature, Idia was irresistibly drawn to you. There was something about the way your wings unfolded, as if they were an extension of your own essence, that aroused in him a mixture of curiosity and admiration.
One day, after a long period of observation from a distance, which lasted for months, Idia decided to make an effort to get closer. He decided to approach the botanical garden, your little space of rest and relaxation to start a first conversation. Finding you lying on the grass, with your back to him, Idia couldn't help but blush.
There was something about the combination of natural elements and magic that felt like an extension of your personal charm. He blushed so much that he had to close his eyes to calm his poor, mortal heart, which was pounding like it was about to burst out of his chest.
Then he opened them again, you were floating above him, head down, letting your hair float in a strange way and your eyes were at the same height as his.
Idia realized that there was something more than fascination in his heart. Every time you laughed or moved your wings, he felt a spark in his chest, a warmth that couldn't be explained only by his fascination to that same sparkle your own wings gave off. It was something deeper, something that had slowly begun to blossom inside him.
From that day on, Idia began to look for excuses to spend time by your side, not only in the gardens, but also in the most common corners of the school.
He looked for you at your dorm, he took you to his. You showed him how wonderful nature could be on your lap, he showed you how peaceful time could be in a glimpse of the underworld.
Even at your side, he could feel like an eternal spring was lodged in his heart, waiting to receive the rays of your smile every day.
Malleus
Malleus, seeing you for the first time, a new student with fairy wings, someone of his own race, was captivated not only by your ethereal beauty, but also by the sense of ancient magic that emanated from you. To him, those wings represented a connection to the ancient myths, legends, and cultures he had studied so much for centuries.
Every time he saw you running through the grey halls of the school, his heart beat with a mix of intrigue and admiration, an unusual curiosity he had never felt before.
Malleus began leaving small gifts in the garden. Enchanted flowers and jewels that seemed to resonate with a soft glow, as if they were meant to be worn by you.
He felt an enormous sense of protection towards you. He saw you as tiny, fragile. He always made sure, from a distance, that you were safe. Even if it earned a reprimand from Lilia “you seem like a pretty shady stalker”
In your presence he often found himself in a state of silent admiration, caught up in the contemplation of your elegance and natural magic.
Malleus took any opportunity to be near you, even in everyday situations like walks around campus or visits to the library. Just being by your side was more than enough to melt his heart of stone.
Sometimes, at night and with the brightness of the stars as the only things present, Malleus surprised you with little surprises: an enchanted melody that only you could hear or a series of handwritten notes, full of sincere and tender confessions. A real Don Juan.
It wasn’t until the evening of a school festival that Malleus gathered the courage to ask for your hand…for a dance together under the moonlight. And dance, you danced, until the music stopped, until all you could hear were their moderately agitated breathing, until the light of dawn began to shine and welcome a new day.
Both of you danced until a bright, multi-colored aura surrounded you.

Leona, Floyd: Feud within the Family
They caught him mid-yawn in the initial art 😭 I SAID THIS TO SOME FRIENDS (not even in a thirsty way, just a casual comment) AND THEY INSTANTLY JUMPED ON ME OTL (if any of them are reading this, yes, I am calling your asses OUT for bullying/j)
I thought the Groovy was of Mufasa, Sarabi, and baby Simba but apparently it’s adult Simba, Nala, and their daughter, Kiara?? 😭 Most animated lions look the same to me, so I never would have caught that… Anyway, L*ona looks absolutely unhinged and super smug there… Bro looks like he’s talking down to someone groveling at his feet for mercy—
A Tale as Old as Time.
"Heeeeeey~"
Leona turned away from the call. Cool, nonchalant—theoretically, anyway.
"Heeey."
He pretended to be absorbed in a stone bust of the King of Beasts. The meddling source of the sound (unfortunately) followed him, much as he tried to shunt it out of his ears.
Leona sighed deeply.
Aaaah, what a pain in the ass. I’m really not in the mood for seafood.
"HEY."
A growl threaded through Floyd’s voice as he stomped over, thrusting his face into Leona’s. The lion beastman groaned. He recognized that fire in Floyd’s eyes all too well.
Determination.
“Quit runnin’ away and fight me already,” Floyd gruffly demanded.
He had been tailing Leona all day, pelting him with the same challenge over and over—alas, to no avail. Now he had the third year boxed in a dark, isolated corner. Floyd gleefully gnashed his teeth, raring to go for a scrap.
He won’t take a regular old ‘no’ for an answer. If it’s come to this then…
He’d lead his pursuer off the beaten path.
“Hmph, how rude,” Leona grunted, at last granting the eel his attention. “Can’t a man appreciate the arts without being accosted? I’d rather not be bothered while I’m in the middle of browsing.”
“You? An art aficionado?” Floyd scoffed in disbelief. “Fat chance, Sea Lion-senpai. You’ve never been into that stuff. It’s not nice to lie to your juniors like that.”
“Then you don’t know me as well as you think you do,” Leona drawled, his voice as smooth as liquid velvet. He took to telling untruths so easily, it was an innate skill. “I’m a prince with refined taste. Can’t you tell I’m over the moon and stars to be at this exhibition?”
Floyd deadpanned. “You look like you’re about to fall asleep standing up just like Jellyfish-chan.”
“Nonsense. I’m absolutely thrilled. In fact, i can hardly contain my excitement. It’s taking every ounce of my energy to not talk my classmates’ ears off about the illustrious history of Sunset Savanna.”
“Yeah? Prove it, then.”
Tch. Should’ve known it wouldn’t be that easy. Leona grimaced internally.
He was careful to maintain his relaxed poise as he gestured to the painting that was mounted along the wall. “Take a look at that.”
“Huh, what is it?”
Underneath a cornflower sky and thin, cottony clouds, was a red-maned lion and his lioness. Between them, a mandrill cradled a wide-eyed cub. The composition made it clear: it was a painting of a family.
“One of the great kings of the past,” Leona simpered, irony oozing from his every word, “and one of the great kings of the future, if that furball is anything to go by. The parents must cherish their child a great deal. Spoiled and pampered like that… surely the cub will make for a splendid ruler.”
“Ehehehe~ You sound so salty there, Sea Lion-senpai.” Floyd leaned closer, taunting him. “Reciting sappy stories like that don’t suit you.”
“So I’ve been told.” Leona folded his arms and snorted. When he beheld the painting, disgust and envy curled in the pit of his stomach. “… Reminds me of my brother. His life’s always been one big fairy tale—and now he’s got a wife and a kid of his own.”
“Heh. So Sea Lion-senpai definitely feels like the odd one out.”
Leona glared at his junior. “… You don’t have a lick of tact, do you?”
“Ahahah!” Floyd cackled, all too carefree. “What’re you so mad about? ‘S not a bad thing.”
Leona watched him with a wary eye. Floyd paced lazily, as though he were a lion himself. Stewing in the shade, waiting for his next meal to skitter into his waiting paw.
“Who wants to fit in with family? That’s boring. It’s better to just do what you want and be yourself. Don’t sweat the small stuff.
“I hate it when people say Jade and I are the same or they mix us up. Jade’s Jade and I’m me. Two different people.”
“I’m sure your dear brother would shed a tear hearing you talk like that.”
Floyd just shrugged. “I don’t get it. You wanna be like that? It’d be weird.”
“But it’s not about fitting in,” he wanted to snap. “It’s about wanting to shine, to stand out, to be seen. For that moment out of the shadows and basking in the sun.”
They look at me, but they don’t see me.
They never will.
People played in the daytime while sleeping through the lovely night. In the savanna governed by the sun, shadows were scorned and casted aside.
Leona’s throat dried. The moisture gone, as if hungrily devoured by his King’s Roar.
He forced his voice to come again, snarky and sarcastic.
“Hmph, I never said that. You slimy bunch grew up at the bottom of the sea, where the light cannot touch. I’d think you understand what it’s like clawing and kicking and fighting every day to survive.”
And just barely making it out in one piece.
His hand drifted toward the scar over his left eye.
“… Anyway, I wasn’t askin’ for your advice. You should stick to annoying that octopunk.” Leona smirked. Again, concealing. “Keep it in the ‘family’, you know.”
Floyd stared at him intently. Then he let out a burst of laughter. “You’re a riot, Sea Lion-senpai! I don’t even feel light fighting you anymore. It’s just as fun to shoot the shit with ya.”
“That so? You flatter me. Surely there are better conversationalists in Octavinelle, with all those silver tongues.” Leona made a shooting motion with his hands. “You should run back to your school of fish to compare.”
Another fit of sporadic giggles. When they, at last, died down to an eerie quiet, Floyd’s whisper was as loud as a shout in a cavern.
“At the end of the day… we’re both beings that lurk in the dark~”
Leona grunted. “… Who needs the light anyway?”
Deep down, he knew the truth.
It was him who needed that light the most.

[fem reader] contains: fluff :) pairing: billy the kid x fem reader summary: pirate billy x mermaid reader author’s note: based on my love @francixoxoxo 's pirate billy au- leaving the tag below. Pinterest Board Spotify Playlist
It was always the details of you that Billy noticed, the pieces swirling into your mosaic. He could practically see you on the cover of a storybook, a thick volume about a mermaid who fell in love with a human like a tragic fairy tale. Only Billy would seize the pen before it could even deign to write you an ending that was anything short of magical.
Your laugh rang like the brass bell shelled in the brick-and-mortar church at the center of the town square, a heavenly sound. While Billy had never been a particularly religious man, he found God with you. Over and over again, enough to make him into a believer. Every touch of your skin was a miracle, not suited for the likes of him. Pirates were superstitious, but hardly ever in a good way.
He hated that he was counted among their numbers- ruthless, reckless men roughened by a life of dishonesty. And yet, it was the only thing he knew how to do. Billy supposed he could have made a life as a sailor, but he knew at this point no man would hire him for such work. The grimace that came along with the name piracy gifted to him was the worst thing in the world, second only to any notion of losing you
You didn't seem to care about any of it, promising Billy that he was a good man, good as they come. Many a night he spent nearly buried in the sand with you sitting contently across his thighs, tail flickering lazily like the flame of a candle as you hugged him around the neck, pressing gentle kisses there.
He fingered your necklace, crafted from delicate seashells shiny as sunbeams on water. You made all your own jewelry, he knew, and he adored it just like he adored everything about you. Every new thing he learned only advanced your beauty, just when he wasn't sure his heart could take any more.
Billy let his hand settle on your lower back, drawing infinities into your skin warmed from the sun. The first time you'd come onto land with him he'd been worried you'd dry out, wither away like a leaf in the fall. There had to be some catch to this. Some catch to a man like him getting to hold a woman like you. But here you were, sand coating your drying tail like a second skin for the hundredth time since the first, head on his chest, fingers skirting the neckline of his shirt.
He always found himself playing with your hair, as long and silky as it was. You always did something pretty with it, whether it be a clasp of pearls or an intricate braid he couldn't wrap his head around. Today it was half tied back on each side with seaweed ribbons of emerald green, the tails lost in your strands.
You propped your chin up on his chest, letting your cheek lean to the side. One of your hands came up to trace along his stubbly jaw, a ring with a single pearl like a teardrop circled around one finger. He watched you fascinatedly like always, tangled in your net with no hope or want of escaping.
"I wish you could come down with me," you murmured, ringed finger finding the slope of his nose and drawing a line up and down. "I want to show you so many things."
He tilted his chin up, pressing a kiss to your wrist. "Me too, angel."
The pet name never failed to get a smile out of you, and he watched joyfully as it lightened you like a sunburst. "It's so beautiful, Billy. I love it, and I want you to love it too."
"If you love it, I would," Billy promised, sitting up and holding you firmly by the waist so you wouldn't shift off of him with the motion.
You moved so you were sitting sideways between his spread legs, snuggling into his chest. "What do you love about the surface? I think I've told you everything I love about the water."
He hummed, getting lost in thoughts like a tangled ball of yarn. Billy never got tired of hearing about what you loved. You had such a wide-eyed, beautiful vision of the world, one that he could only wish to imitate. He wished he was a more eloquent man so he could pick out the things of the surface he thought you'd like and craft them into poetry only fit for your eyes.
"I..." his mind went blank. Billy was hardly capable of a thought that didn't pertain to how beautiful you were in your presence. "I like the stars, I s'pose. And flowers."
Your eyes brightened, and he felt a prick of pride for having said something that made them that way. "I like those too."
"Yeah?" Billy would pick every flower that sprouted from the earth, lasso each star and haul them from the sky to lay at your tail if it would make you smile. "I'll bring you some flowers next time, pretty."
"Really?" You reached up, kissing his cheek. Your lips left a burning spot, and he melted. You were a treasure no X on a map could ever amount to.
"'Course, baby." Billy stroked your back, an ocean of softened skin smoothed by saltwater. "It's only right a man does that for his sweetheart."
You giggled in delight, a babbling brook. "I want to bring you something pretty too."
"You bring yourself, don'tcha?"
"Billy."
He chuckled, lips finding your hair. A human would have to swallow stardust to glow as bright as you. "You're my girl. Ain't nothin' better than seein' my girl."
You gave him a fond look, wiggling a little in his arms. "I want to show you my treasures."
"Oh, baby I'd be honored to see your treasures." Billy reached up, catching your lips in a gentle kiss. You existed in a world of beautiful things, just how you deserved.
In words you'd described to him of the splendor of the sea, the way merpeople valued all that was good and lovely. Intricate carvings of pearl depicting wars of history, victory abound. Insides of clamshells ranging from the size of the palm of your hand to entire walls painted with artist's depictions of royalty. Seemingly ordinary rocks split down the middle, revealing crystallite insides. He couldn't have dreamt it up.
But as far as he was concerned, you were the most ethereal thing created by the world of mermaids.
You were pleased by his answer, rewarding him with warm kisses peppered to his cheeks. Billy could have sworn there was sugar rather than blood on your insides, given how cripplingly sweet you were.
He'd succumb to your spell every time.
Had Billy searched the catacombs of the earth like a man possessed, he never would have found what you were showing him right now.
To say he'd been surprised when you had announced you were taking him to your treasure grove had been an understatement. But the next thing he knew, he was holding onto you as you swam, head above water, faster than he knew was physically possible.
An island had been your destination, one swallowed by the sea, nearly. The greenery was lush and full, but you led him to the gaping mouth of a cavern, studded with crystals of every fathomable color. He'd been in awe, convinced your treasures were a place. But deeper into the hallowed halls of your special spot, he saw the reason you'd brought him.
It was very nearly a temple, held by columns of stone crawling with moss, the sea kissing the base a shallow pool with water lilies floating leisurely. Billy's eyes widened as he took it in. It was a relic, a forgotten wonder of the world. And you had found it, of course you'd found it.
Vines twirled the arches like a strand of hair around a finger, light seeping in through the cracks of the ceiling. The walls were lightened with faded color, the salt air chipping away at paint. He turned to you, heaving himself out of the water to sit on the edge of the pool. His shirt and pants were clinging to him, boots abandoned at shore. "What is this place?"
"It's my treasure chest," you said simply, arms folded on his knees, chin atop. "Nobody know about it, really. So I keep the things I find in here."
"The things you find?" Upon his question, you turned your head to the side, and he followed your gaze.
There, on the edge of the cavern, a collection of items laid lined up like soldiers on the stony surface. He shuffled over to examine them closely. Your collection ranged from chipped teacups to strings of pearls. There were shells of an inexhaustible variety, starfish and scales all scattered in the mix. But what struck him was the sheer amount of human things.
Pale figurines of nude women, an intricate silver hand mirror. A tube of lipstick, the lid missing, a bottle of perfume likely only filled with ocean now. A brooch the color of the sky on a sunny day, a silhouette stone faced depicted. There was a book with stiff looking pages at the center of it all, embossed with gold in a language Billy didn't know.
He turned to you, awe clouding his senses. "You found all of this?"
A shy little smile crept up your lips. "My treasures."
"Angel." Billy reached down, lifting you under your arms to come sit on his lap, the fins of your tail dipping into the water still. He pressed three kisses to your face; your cheek, nose, and mouth. You were too good for this world, too bright and glimmering for anyone to deserve.
Today your hair was loose, miniscule braids interwoven between strands. It wasn't uncommon for him to find broken pieces of seashell tangled in between, and even in the muted light of the cavern, they shone like bits of sunshine, the light catching them just right. Billy tucked your hair behind your ear, catching the pearls hanging from them, dripping with ocean. "It's beautiful. You're a sweetheart for showin' me."
You wrapped your arms around his neck, breasts flattening against his chest. "You like it?"
"It's like you're showin' me a piece of your heart," he said, relishing in the sparkle of your eyes. He shifted to the side, facing your collection again. "Will you tell me 'bout 'em?"
Billy could practically feel the excitement bubbling up inside you as you began to explain the origins of each find, voice a melody in his ear. He listened, savoring every detail to imprint on his memory. If his identity became a man in love with you, he'd die happier than most.
Your love enchanted him, consumed him like the impossibly high waves of a typhoon, swirling and tossing him back and forth against the walls of your heart. He was drowning in it all, engulfed in every salty wave that pulled him under.
Only here he would never come up for air.

greymist fair was a simple village, known for the dangerous woods seated at the edge of the town. no one dared to enter in fear of what resided in them. yet the ever-curious and humble tailor known as [name] didn’t know the meaning of fear. she always teetered on the line of the forest, struggling not to enter. the older villagers would dissuade her, even shouting at her at times when she got far too close.
she was so tempted.. so.. desperate to see what was inside the forest. something was holding her back.
well that something dissipated the moment a body was found infront of the tree-line, causing the ever so curious, ever so nosy [name] to enter.

today was like any other, nanami failing to stop the weekly heist you conducted. he was tired, annoyed, and ready to drown his concerns in alcohol.

The Tides Beckon || Freminet x Merman!Reader (Pt. 1)
Warning/s: Mentions of blood, Fremi almost died, not much dialogue, author's first language ain't english
Notes: WAKE UP BABE ITS MERMAY -my brain last night so i decided to write this one with my favorite fontaine boy. also there's more to this story so i'll write more ehe
Whenever the world grew louder alongside his thoughts, Freminet would often seek refuge in the ocean. While others feared the unknown depths of the waters, the diver knew the nation’s hydrology like the back of his hand. The deep waters and the creatures within became his sanctuary for when everything was just too much.
This didn't come naturally, however. Because there was a time where he, too, grew anxious of what could happen whenever he dived deeper than the last. This was when the beings above hadn't bestowed him a vision yet, when he had to rely on his trusty helmet to dive. Who knew what could happen, his diving suit could malfunction while he was swimming and it would be too late to ascend by the time he noticed it.
There was a specific moment, at night, when he scampered into the waters, drowned in his thoughts and wanting nothing more than to surround himself with the waves that pushed his worries away for even just a moment. It was a mistake to not check his gear beforehand, a mistake that could've easily cost him his life. He was younger then, much less experienced of a diver than he was now.
He tried to swim upwards when water began to flood into his diving helmet, however, fate had something else planned as a bunch of seaweed vines caught his ankle, preventing him from swimming any further. The boy, calm as he may always seem to be, began to panic. His hands started to tug and pull at the seaweed vines to free his foot.
It was dark out, he shouldn't have left and dived into the ocean by himself. He had sneaked away from the House, not informing anyone of his whereabouts, so the chances of someone miraculously arriving just in time to help him was zero to none.
Or that's what he thought. It was when his vision began to blur, his body growing weak as water prevented him from breathing. His body had gone limp, eyelashes drooping, his consciousness slipping slowly and surely.
It was then that a shadow began to swim closer to him. The full moon’s light beamed from the surface of the water, providing decent enough lighting to help him in his blurry vision to make out that this shadow was a person. What they were doing in the ocean in the middle of the night, he didn't know. But they were there to save him.
He couldn't remember clearly nor did his vision help when it came to reveal his savior’s identity. What he was quite sure of was their long hair swaying prettily in the water, their tail moving as they swam— wait, tail? Before he could comprehend what he had managed to see, he blacked out.
Those memories would forever haunt Freminet’s mind. Even in the present, where he sat on a large boulder by the shore, Pers in his hands as he watched the waves roll in and the white seafoam appear and disappear. After that fateful night, he began to rack his brain on what happened.
Little knew of how fond Freminet was with fairy tales, and how often he would imagine this world in his mind where he had companions that would bring color and life to this imagination of his. He has books and stories stored away in his room, away from prying eyes that he would read whenever he wanted to.
That's when he came across the myths and tales of mermaids. Creatures that were half human and half fish, with ethereal beauty and a voice capable of luring many with their angelic singing. They lived in the depths of the ocean, far away from the humans, they served the hydro dragon and his many incarnations. But for some reason unclear in the books, their kin had begun to dwindle over the centuries. It wasn't clearly stated where they came from, or if they even were true, but Freminet was quite sure the person he saw that night was a mermaid.
He hadn't spoken a word to Lyney or Lynette, he was afraid they wouldn't believe him. Heck, sometimes he thought he didn't believe himself. Perhaps it was just an illusion? But then how did he survive? Who saved him?
The soft wind that blew on his cheek managed to pull the boy out of his thoughts. He sighed, hugging his legs closer to his chest as he placed his chin on his knees. The ocean was peaceful today.
At least that was until a loud splash erupted from not too far away. Usually, the salty scent of the sea breeze overwhelmed any other scent when near the shore. But it was different today.
Freminet could smell it. The familiar scent of blood. And it was so strong. The boy gulped, standing up and silently making his way off the boulder. The splash wasn't too far, possibly from the other side of the large rocks.
Trained in stealth and being naturally good at keeping quiet, he had easily managed to sneak his way to the other side, peeking over a boulder to see what was going on.
The boy suppressed a gasp, but his lips still parted in shock, eyes turning wide. A small splash sounded from when the tail came into contact with the surface of the water. A tail, similar to that of a fish, but long and connecting to an upper human body.
The scales were covered in blood, staining its color and the water with it. A groan ripped Freminet’s attention from the tail and towards the human part of the creature. If he wasn't already shocked with the tail, he was even more surprised at the sight of the pained face of a familiar member of the Marechaussee Phantom meeting his view.
It was the face of the young influential official that almost everyone in Fontaine knew of. How could they not when he worked directly with the Iudex?
Though his appearance was far from the usual, because he was a freaking mermaid right now.
Freminet did not know what to think of this. He was just thinking about this a moment ago, even thinking what he could possibly do or say if he were to meet one in real life, as slim the chances are. But that was happening now and he was absolutely speechless.
“Who’s there?” The mermaid’s sharp voice cut through the silence. He was spotted.
Seeing as he was busted, the diver decided to reveal himself, though keeping his distance.
“It’s you…”
Ending note: I haven't written in a while so I'm trying my best because I really like this story😭

Omegaverse Catalogue of general Vulgarity, insults and curses
! Warning, following post may have offensive content to some audiences so exercise caution!
I have been inspired of pack-the-pack's post about curse words in omegaverse so i decided to do my own with some revision and additions. Some words may be directly linked to the post but i will also add my own and diferently interpret others.
The following will have insults, curses,vulgar phrases, slurs and profanities.
Insults & slurs :
Towards Alphas :
Knothead -A person person, typically an alpha, who acts like an asshole. It can also be used for a person who think with their dick first instead of head.
ex. Sleeping around like he does requires a impossible levels of ego.Geez what a knothead
Heatstall- Slur made to diminish an Alpha sexually and socially. A heatstall is a person who is so poor at bed that they have a power to stop person's heat . It can also be used for peson who is unatracctive because of their looks and/or behaviour.
ex. it really is a shame that he turned out to be a total heatstall, the way he treats staff is unacceptable!
Loose Tie- it means that their knot is not enough to keep person attached enough to them. Loose tie is a way to tell a person that they cannot secure any close interpersonal relationships.
ex. Being a loose tie that he is, it doesn't suprise me that she left him
Knotless- It is used to describe a person who does not follow through with their plans or words. Can also be used towards a cowardly person.
ex. You Knotless bastard! You promised to be here for me at the gathering but as always you left me alone with these wolves!
Stray Dog - describes an alpha who notoriously sleeps around with omegas and female betas.
ex. Listen to me, that stray dog isn't worth it. He'll just take what he wants and leave you when he's satisfied
Cat-pole - Designed to demean Alpha females sexually and socially. It’s a way to mock a female Alpha’s “retractable anatomy” which evokes thoughts of a cat’s claws; also doubles as being an offensive more “subtle” replacement for “pussy-dick”.
Ex. Why should we listen to a cat-pole like you? We've got enough alphas to steer the wheel.
Bitch- can be used as a regular insult or a slur. It comes from a fairy-tale notion that alpha who recieves penetration will turn into an omega. Bitch can be used as a slur to alpha who engages in such acts or can be an insult that implies that an alpha lacks a spine, sucking up to other and being metaphorically ,,fucked'' by them in turn.
ex. Grow a spine and stop acting like a bitch!
Tail-chaser- resembling a dog chasing its own tails, the insult implies that the alpha who chases after a person for sexual favours without success
ex. She's been tail-chasing him for the whole night without response it becomes almost sad.
Runt - Meant to diminish alpha's strength and position in pack. It means being the weak, incapable or pack reject.
Ex. Little runts like you should not be hanging 'round those parts of the city.
Lone wolf - an alpha who was left by their partner or kicked out of their pack. It generally is used towards rejects.
Ex. A lone wolf like you has no say in it!
Towards Betas :
Stump- designed to insult and diminish Male beta's sexual prowess as they do not have as powerfull appendage compared to their alpha counterparts.
ex. Why should i settle down for a stump?
Knotless- when directed at betas it is used as a demeaning connotation of a beta anatomy
Ex.Are you sure you want to settle with a knotless guy?
Left-over - It is used as an insult to insinuate that the beta will never be the first choice when it comes to dating.
ex.You can try as much as you want but you will always be a left-over.
Tatty - used to demean Beta females implying that their wombs are not as skillful as omega ones because they are a beta. A tattered womb.
Ex. I cannot you settled for her tatty ass instead of me!
Crummy- the same meaning as Tatty.
Beta tester- designed to deman beta sexualy and socially. That they are only a ,,test'' before person enters a real relationship.
Ex. You are nothing but a beta-tester. Do not have high hopes that your relationship will last.
Towards Omegas
Puppymill - used as an insult to omega, insinuating that their only purpose in life is to have children
Ex. Do not get lavish ideas omega, you are nothing but a puppymill
Bitch- i think the name serves for itself
Knot-hole- similiar to puppy mill but also lowers the omega to status of a sex toys, where they are only holes used for fucking.
Puppy-pooper- Directed towards male omegas. Comes from ignorant and incorrect belief of what the targets anatomy looks like. People ignorant of this think that the place where male omegas birth their children and defecate are one and the same. It is used to diminish the omega's ability of having children and establish their childrens' ,,dirtiness".
Ex. Why would you willingly tie yourself down to a puppy-pooper?!
Stud- directed at domineering omegas. It can also be used towards abusive women who try to control every situation available.
Ex. A stud like her will never have a chance at finding a partner
Knot tease- the same meaning as cock tease
Knot dropper- describes an omega who is so loose that their hole cannot hold the alpha's knot anymore. Comparable to being called a whore or a slut.
ex. Do you try to win a knot dropper title by the way you sleep around?!
Tail tease- the same meaning as Knot tease
Tight-fit - Used towards omegas who were brought up strictlty and thus are much more traditional mindset in courtship and lifestyle.
Ex. A tight-fit like her may be more trouble than it's worth, you don't want to die of boredom after all
General Insults
Scent-deaf - refers to a person without a tact; someone cannot for their life read social cues.
ex. Why the fuck did you say that, are you scent-deaf?
Knotsucker- same as cocksucker
Knotlicker- generally it means slut or whore, but can also be used towards a person who is a bootlicker while also expecting some sort of reward for it.
ex.Im outta here, this whole room is full of knotlickers
Overbred- same as knotdropper.
Tail twister- A cowardly person who will be first to give up.
ex. This ride is not for a tail twister like you
Glandless- same as Scent deaf

arlecchino and any character you want with a pretty mermaid/fairy s/o to show off
“Falling Tides” — Yandere!Alrlechinno x Mermaid!Reader
After an incident with Fontaine’s mechanical fishing boats, you are left to rely on humans to help you heal. Unfortunately, all of them don’t have good intentions.
cw: drugging, implied kidnapping, drowning (kinda? Reader has gills but is held underwater against her will for a sec),
~~~
“The beauty of my homeland can never be overstated, but darling, you must be the pinnacle of it all…” She said, stepping forward to lift your chin with the tips of her claws. The strange woman smiled as you said nothing, pulling away to pace the edge of your… pool? Tank?
You’d been there a few days, slowly healing ever since your bloody encounter with Fontaine’s overly mechanical fishing boats. It had almost ground your tale to its bones. Luckily, the workers saw you struggling against the machine and pulled you free before more than a few long bloody scrapes across your tail and a couple dozen scales lost.
“Hello…?” you croaked out, trying to speak the difficult human language. It was always easier to listen than to speak it.
“Hello.” She smiled down at you, towering over you from where you swam in the pool.
“Here to help?” You asked, not quite knowing how to ask if she was one of the doctors or not.
“I suppose.”
So she was! Victoriously, you grinned, shark teeth flashing. “I'm going home soon?”
“Ah,” she grinned, coming down to kneel at the edge of the water, you swam up to her with little fear, meeting her face to face. Her eyes seemed to twinkle. “You must believe me to be one of the little doctors helping you recover. You are lucky mer are a species favored by the archon, otherwise you’d be left to the elements. Or to be ground up by their machines.”
The wistful sigh as she reached out to hold a lock of your hair confused you. “Not here to help?”
“No. Oh goodness no.” She shook her head, laughing slightly. “I just came to see you. Even as a little girl I dreamt of mermaids. So ethereal. So perfect.”
Her hands, clawed at the tip, reached out slowly to glide over the ends of your hair.
“I’d love to hear you sing, darling.”
With your limited understanding of human language, you couldn’t quite understand everything she said, but one word stood out. One you knew well. Sing.
“You want a song?” So that’s why she was here. Mer were no strangers to humans seeking them out to listen to their voice.
“Desperately.” She said, her voice breathy and low, eyes trained on you and only you.
“What song?”
“Anything. Anything so long as it comes from you.”
You nodded, before taking a deep breath.
The song was an echoing melody bare of any words, instead made up of flowing stretches of songs and whistles, like the whales that one roamed the land.
She gave a soft sigh.
When the song ended, you realized you had unconsciously closed your eyes, a common habit of yours. When you opened them though, you almost wish you hadn’t.
The woman looked ecstatic. No. Obsessed. Eyes wide, breath labored. Her face morphed into a grin. “Amazing. You’re simply amazing.”
She stood up, eyes still trained intensely on yours.
“Breathtaking.” She turned her head to the side, eyes locking onto something you couldn’t see. “Do it.”
Something clicked, and the water in your tank turned warm as the pipes released a dark, inky liquid into the water.
Alarmed, you looked around you with wide eyes. What was happening?
“Oh, I suppose I haven’t introduced myself. I am Arlecchino. You will know me well soon enough.”
You spun around to look up at her. She looked almost pleased. Didn’t she understand you were in danger?
“H-help!” You stuttered out, using your arms to hold onto the edge of the tank to lift your torso above the contaminated water.
“Unfortunately.” The clack of her shoes signaled her approach, but you didn’t dare look away from the rapidly darkening waters beneath you. “That is not what’s about to happen.”
She pushed you away from the edge, straight into the water. It tasted sweet and sticky in your lungs and gills.
She was a predator, not a friend, you realized then. You pulled back, turning away and diving into the deep end of your tank. You’d rather be in the contaminated tank than with her. Your voice was loud and clear even from under several feet of water. “Leave!”
“Oh hush.” Arlecchino said, pacing the edge of your tank. “It’s hardly dangerous.”
You blinked, slow. Heavy labored breaths brought the contaminant into your bloodstream quickly.
With your head pulsing and your vision swaying, it was no surprise you didn’t realize she entered your pool. You were far too busy trying to keep yourself away.
The ink in the water, that must be it. Deciding to take your chance with the woman above instead of the drugged water below, you made a move for the surface.
You didn’t make it. Strong arms wrapped around your torso, then a hand came up to hold your head still by the hair.
You thrashed, but Arlecchino held you under, your panic forcing you to breathe the sticky sweet flavor the water had taken on. If you were any less panicked, you’d have noticed the way one of her hands shifted to stroke down your ribs, sharp nails tracking the fluttering of your breath. Until all at once, your fighting stopped, and you laid limp in her arms.
The last thing you saw before floating away was a Cheshire grin as she finally, finally, lifted you free from the water.
~~~
an: sorry if.this took so long and isn’t quite what was asked for! I don’t often do stuff established relationships. Also just stuck to Arlechinno because I don’t have the brain juice to do two. Hope it was enjoyable though!

Tales of the TMNT Leo & Raph word count: 2k CW: anxiety disorder (aka: Leo has anxiety - the fic)
AO3
---
There are glow-in-the-dark stars taped to the bottom of Mikey's bed.
They're so old he can't remember if it was him of his brother that insisted on it, and they're so old he never once considered taking them off – carefully taping his posters and pictures to the space around them. It's like a game at this point – finding any leftover room for new things.
Raph traces them with his gaze, his fingers laced across his stomach.
Leo's mattress squeaks as he shifts in his bed again, his feet brushing against the brick wall.
Raph bites on his cheek.
Mikey can fall asleep anywhere at any time, and Donnie's brain doesn't shut off without something absurdly loud blasting in his ears. Raph can hear it even now, music faintly bleeding out of his headphones.
But Raph and Leo have always been light sleepers at best – borderline insomniacs at worst. It's one thing they have in common, and like all the things they have in common – they're so different in it at the same time.
Raph's body feels electric, his veins all adrenaline and excitement – no blood. He spends many nights restless, the last one to go to bed and the first one to rise.
He trains, the line between his fingers and sai always blurry; he paces around the lair; he runs along rooftops, feet dangling off the edge. And then his body shuts off, as sudden as a car shutting down on a red light, and he passes out – dead to the world.
He runs himself dry, and then he picks himself up again, over and over again.
When Leo stays up, he's a shadow of himself the next morning.
Raph sighs, quietly, his mind ticking away the minutes till he'll be able to sneak out of the room without Dad sitting right on his tail.
In his bed, Leo shifts again.
Raph sighs again, louder this time.
“You up?” He asks, voice lowered.
Leo's quiet for a moment, his shell turned to Raph, until he finally exhales, giving in.
“Yeah.”
Raph sits up, shifting to his knees. He takes his pillow with him, tucking it under his chest as he turns, facing Leo's bed without a moment of hesitation, like its second nature.
At this point, it might as well be.
It's an old tradition of theirs – maybe even older than the stars on his ceiling.
All four of them have been sharing beds, rooms, spaces for as long as he can recall. It's not home without his brothers, even if Mikey has a tendency to snore, the light from Donnie's phone or computer woke him up on more than one occasion, and Leo never quite grew out of the habit of borrowing things without asking.
The room is all of theirs, but late nights belong to him and Leo only.
Raph and Leo never had that much in common, always opposites in some way or another, like two puzzle pieces from the same box, but not made to snap together.
When Raph was younger, he never had patience for puzzles. He'd push the carton and paper squares until they fit, by sheer force and spite alone.
He'd make Leo cry with that, because his brother always did when they broke the rules to any game, which made him a rotten playmate, but taught Raph the valuable skill of never quite letting Leo know when he was making up new ones.
Sometimes, during late nights, in the glow of Leo's fairy lights and Raph's stars, he's doing it again.
But he doesn't think Leo minds this time around.
They've spent hours like this, and sometimes, Raph thinks he wouldn't mind if this was the rest of his life.
Sometime ago, April asked them what they thought their heaven would look like. It was a silly question, related to some show that Raph was only half paying attention to. He can't quite remember what he answered, something related to this or other celebrity.
It was a lie anyway.
He thinks it would be this.
Leo shifts, turning to lay on his stomach, arms crossed under his chin.
“What's up?” Raph asks.
Leo's fingers drum on his forearms, and he takes a deep breath, like he has to steady himself.
“Nothing,” he says, and he's a bad lair. “Just... Hanging out.”
“Hanging out?”
“Yeah,” Leo says, and Raph can almost hear his mind racing.
He's barely exaggerating.
His brother's brain always seemed to work a mile a minute, too fast for his own good, his thoughts too big. He knows Leo struggles to catch up with his own mind sometimes, words spilling out of his mouth like he was going to swallow down his own tongue.
He thinks it might be even worse when he's staying quiet.
“You're getting worked up about something again,” Raph huffs.
Leo raises his head, frowning, probably to feel a little taller than him.
He's been outgrowing Leo since they were toddlers, and he doesn't think his brother ever quite got over it.
“I'm not,” Leo says defensively, his fingers flexing against his pillow.
“Yes, you are,” Raph says. “Look at you, you've got the shakes.”
Leo looks down at his own hands, like he just noticed them.
He shifts, intertwining his fingers under his chin, then turns again, laying them flat on the pillow, not helping his point in the slightest.
“Come on, man. Work with me.”
Raph puts his elbow on his pillow, cheek resting against his palm.
He's known Leo all his life, and knows his tendency to work himself up to the point of boiling, always over nothing, like the back of his own hand.
Leo tried explaining it to them, once.
How he runs something over and over in his mind, until it takes on a completely new shape, until he can't remember what parts really happened and what parts he's scared of happening.
How he can lay out every reason why he shouldn't bother himself about it, but his fingers still go numb and stiff, and his heart races in his throat like he's going to choke on it.
How he gets sick on his own thoughts.
Raph never quite got it.
But Donnie must've, because he pulled Leo into his tent that evening, their voices hushed and the light from the computer's monitor bright.
That night, Leo didn't take his mask off to sleep, and he chewed on the ends of it until they frayed.
Raph doesn't remember ever finding out what they talked about, but he knows that after came a lot of ''articles'' that Donnie was sending and that Leo never read. They argued about it some.
But what Raph does know, is that there's no real calming when Leo gets like this. It's best to let him run his course, let him spill over – his worry and nerves deep but not endless. Or so he hopes.
“I'm just...” Leo says finally, drumming his fingers against his palm, seemingly completely forgetting about keeping them still. “It's kind of stupid.”
“You are kind of stupid,” Raph says, on instinct. Leo sends him a glare, and he raises his hands up in a defensive gesture. “Alright, alright, just shoot.”
Leo bites his lip, lowering his gaze.
“I just keep thinking...” He doesn't look at Raph when he says it, but there's a certain panicked quality to his words, like he's scared he's going to run out of them at any second. “We almost died, Raph.”
Raph blinks.
He shifts a little in his place, mulling over Leo's words, until he finally says:
“Well, yeah. Which time specifically?”
Leo's neck straightens, and there's a new expression on his face, something open and wounded.
“That's the thing!” He catches himself raising his voice, and lowers it again. “So many times. Like, that's not...” He takes a shaky breath. “What if something happened to any of us? Any of you?”
Instinctively, Raph reaches back, tracing his fingers over the healed shell – a leftover scar from splitting it in half.
“But we didn't. Die, I mean,” he says.
It is true.
There's a certain gratefulness he carries with himself nowadays. Every day he gets to wake up and eat breakfast next to his family, every day he gets to bicker with his brothers in the evening, every day he gets to stretch his back and feel the ache in his shell slowly fade away.
He doesn't think about the 'what ifs'. They're not worth it.
He tells Leo so, but his brother only scratches at his arm, his shoulders raising, like he's trying to hide away.
“It's not that.” He huffs. “It was real. That's not a 'what if', it's an 'almost reality'.”
“Yeah, that's what 'what if' means, dipshit.” Raph scoffs.
He's not really annoyed, more so confused.
“You don't get it.” Leo sounds more upset now; he speaks a little faster. “We could've died, Raph. Isn't that terrifying?”
Raph sucks on his teeth.
Right, maybe he is a little annoyed. But only on Leo's behalf, for the way his stupid brain functions.
“I mean... It was, in the moment.”
He winces a little, seeing the face Leo pulls at that.
“Yeah. And it still is!” He doesn't bother lowering his voice anymore. “You're telling me you never think about it?”
“No,” Raph says, which is mostly true. “I try not to,” he adds, which is a little more honest.
“Well, that's what I'm trying to do!” Leo turns suddenly, laying with his back flat on the bed. “But it keeps catching up to me.”
“Seems like you're not trying hard enough,” he says.
He knows it’s a mistake the moment the words leave his mouth.
Leo's fingers squeeze his blanket so much they shake. His throat bobs, and there's a certain twitch to his lips that Raph knows all too well.
It makes something in his chest squeeze painfully.
“Are you going to cry?” He says, and it's a genuine question.
It doesn't really sound like one, he realizes.
There's a sudden flash of anger on Leo's face, and he raises his hands, throwing them in the air.
“Well, I'm sorry?” His voice pitches, all wobbly. “Sorry for having emotions! God, you're such an asshole.”
Leo pushes his palms against his wet eyes, taking in a shaky breath.
They lay in silence for a minute or two, taking in the quiet beat of Donnie's music and Mikey's soft snore.
“Sorry for caring about you.” Leo says finally, putting his hands down.
He sounds wet and fragile, and petty as hell, which Raph supposes he can't blame him for.
This is the thing, he supposes. It's how it goes with them.
Leo used to always cry whenever one of them did; those big, sad tears that used to annoy Raph to no end, because what does Leo have to cry about?
He started to understand it more as they got older.
He likes when Leo cries holding him, when Raph's own emotions get too big to carry. It makes him feel cared for, in a way. Validated, maybe.
He thinks about that now, watching his brother sniffle, and says:
“Well, I'm sorry, too.”
Leo turns to look at him, his cheek on the pillow.
Raph turns away, just so he doesn't have to endure Leo looking at him with those eyes.
And damn it, he's always had the biggest, saddest eyes.
He thinks about Leo when they were younger, how much he cared for things like rules, and putting their toys away at the end of the day, and keeping out of the places Dad told them to stay away from. And how much he cared for them.
Leo cares for all of them so much, and this is how he shows it.
Raph is grateful to still get to fall asleep next to his brothers every day. Leo is scared, that one day he won't.
“... Apology accepted,” Leo whispers, wiping his nose on the back of his hand.
Then he grimaces, as if disgusted with himself.
Raph shifts on his bed, pushing his shell up the wall.
“Come here,” he says, pulling his covers away.
It's been a while.
They're both bigger now, and Leo's shell doesn't fit fully on the bed, and his knee digs into his thigh, but it doesn't really matter, because Raph doesn't need their puzzle pieces to fit perfectly to make his point.
“I'm here,” he tells him. “So I can't be dead, right? That's what matters. This the 'actual reality', Lee.”
Leo sniffles once again.
“Yeah,” he says, quietly. Then, very suddenly: “Donnie says it's anxiety.”
Raph frowns.
“What?”
“My...” He stops for a moment, like he's considering his own words. “When I get the shakes.” He decides on, finally.
“Oh,” Raph says. “Okay.”
“He says I should talk to a doctor about it.”
They've been to the doctors a few times now – once they figured out that for what it was worth, veterinarians have a better general understanding of turtles. But he's not sure how much vets could know about Leo's brain.
“Do you want to?” He asks instead.
Leo shrugs, and that's that. Raph doesn't push.
They don't say anything after that, and Leo curls up on his side, his forehead touching Raph's elbow.
Raph watches the stars on his ceiling and the posters surrounding them.
He's still able to make space for them. He's making them fit.
And he'll do the same for his brother.
Every time.

— ... —
Growing up, Azul never had friends before middle school. He was seen as the odd one out because of his chubby stature and eight legs. He would always stay in his pot because he's scared. Scared that someone would talk bad about him, that is—before he met the two leech twins. He had fun with them, standing up for Azul to stop his bullies
At that time, he was studying everything he can get from the school library. He won't lie; he's interested in land dwellers but where he lives. They despise them, they ruin their homes and take stuff from the reefs! Azul's mother even hated them more. She always told Azul to never go to the surface because "who knows what danger lies in land", yes it's true. He doesn't know anything about the land as much but he's curious enough for a peep! He started collecting the stuff the land dwellers drop in sea.
“Haaa? What's this?”
Floyd talked, Jade looking at the different items that Azul hoarded in his secret collection room. Floyd holds a danglehopper (a fork), doing random stuff to see it's purpose.
“Oh well.. I'm not sure! But the white Bird from the surface told me it's something land dwellers use to comb their hair”
Azul explained like the nerd he was, adjusting his glasses in the process. Jade looks at his brother who was combing his hair with the "danglehopper". The three metal bristles smoothly brush through Floyd's sleek teal locks. He was in awe by it, Jade only laughs in amusement
“Hey 'zul! Mind if I keep it?”
Floyd yelled, Azul sighed playfully with a pout
“I knew you were gonna say that. But sure.. ”
Azul murmured, Floyd flicks his eel tail with glee. Jade looks around and finds a box full of silver and gold circular objects. The calmer leech twin grabs one from the box. It shimmered a golden hue— Jade clicked a small button on the front of the weird circular object. The top flung open showing a long hand and a small hand. Azul saw Jade's interest towards the circular metal objects
“I haven't named those things yet. The white Bird also told me that land dwellers use these to tell time"
He muttered, Floyd let out a small "ahhh" at the explanation. Jade nodded and asked in interest.
“Mind if i take something like this?”
Azul agreed, Jade thanked Azul for letting him have one of these circular shiny objects. Dawn hit— and the twins returned back home with Azul, Azul has always hid his secret interest of Land Dweller items from his parents; knoeing them, they won't be happy if they knew this.
The silver haired octopus sat with his family for dinner. Azul's mother was talking with his father, leaving Azul all silent, but he prefered that since he was busy thinking of a way to get some more information in Land Dwellers. Him and his parents did have some small talks before and after dinner, but after that– Azul just goes to his room to think of ways to learn about humans. Even til now he was interested in them..
He wont lie, he kind of dreams for a partner in his life. Its a dream— he knows that, knowing him being an octopus that no one wants. He just didn't have the time to believe in that fairy tale of his. Well before he met such a charming young royal who fell of their ship..

Reading update
Light Up the Lamp by Kit Oliver - 5/5 stars
Kit Oliver can do no wrong, I guess. I figured I'd like this one a lot given that I loved her other two novels, but hockey books usually aren't five star reads for me. Along comes this book! Unrelentingly lovely, and even though I knew it was going to have an HEA, I still found myself worried that Gil wasn't going to figure shit out.
The Faerie Hounds of York by Arden Powell - 5/5 stars
Gorgeous book that read like a dreamy, dark fairy tale. The first book by Arden Powell I read was really funny, and this was like the complete opposite. Powell has range! This one is sad, but still has a happy ending. If you like Emily Tesh's Greenhollow Duology, I highly recommend this one. They're definitely in the same vein.
Deosil by Jordan L Hawk - 4.75/5 stars
I was SO SAD to get to the end of this series. Whyborne, Griffin, Christine, Iskander, Persephone, Maggie, Niles...I could go on, I love them all. It's hard to say good-bye but they all got a wonderful ending.
The Inside Edge by Ashlyn Kane - 3/5 stars
The Taste of Desert Green by Kim Fielding - 4.25/5 stars
Your Lonely Nights Are Over by Adam Sass - 1/5 stars
Crushed Ice by Ashlyn Kane and Morgan James - 4/5 stars
Roustabout by Morgan Brice - 3/5 stars
Prince in Disguise by Tavia Lark - 5/5 stars
Loved this one just as much as the first in the series. I expected the Draskorans to be...idk, like stereotype fantasy barbarians, so it was extremely refreshing that they weren't.
Old Time Religion by EH Lupton - 5/5 stars
Ahhhhhhhh I love this series!! I really really enjoyed the first book, and I loved this one even more. Really good, really original. I can't recommend this one and Dionysus in Wisconsin enough!
A Thief and a Gentleman by Arden Powell - 3.5/5 stars
The Devil to Pay by Katie Daysh - 4.75/5 stars
If you like Patrick O'Brian but find yourself thinking, surely this could be more gay? Then Katie Daysh's books are for you. This is the second in the series and I was delighted to learn yesterday from her newsletter that she's working on the third, because I definitely am not ready for the series to end! The first book was from Nightingale's POV (there might have been some bits from Courtney's POV? But not many), and this one is entirely from Courtney's. Courtney and Nightingale didn't actually get to spend much time together in this one so I hope they catch more of a break in book 3.
Lord of Eternal Night by Ben Alderson - DNF at pg 6
The Engineer by CS Poe - 4/5 stars
The Larks Still Bravely Singing by Aster Glenn Gray - 5/5 stars
If you're not reading Aster Glenn Gray yet, why not? Why not??? Seriously, if you like Cat Sebastian, PLEASE give Aster Glenn Gray a try. I have yet to read a book by the woman that isn't gorgeous. This book is set right at the tail end of WWI and into the interwar period and is about two young English men who were injured and invalided out of the army. They're both disabled (Robert, the POV character, is missing a leg, and David is missing a hand) and have PTSD.
Also recommended if you like KJ Charles's Will Darling Adventures trilogy. The Larks Still Bravely Singing is just straight historical romance, not romantic suspense, but it deals with similar themes.
Guardians of Dawn: Zhara by S Jae-Jones - DNF at pg 24
Mr Warren's Profession by Sebastian Nothwell - 4.75/5 stars
LOVED this book. I think it's the only historical romance I've read that uses the Industrial Revolution so heavily in the plot, which I really enjoyed. Plus, gorgeous cover.
Honey Mead Murder by Dahlia Donovan - DNF at pg 5
A Market of Dreams and Destiny by Trip Galey - 3.25/5 stars
String Theory by Ashlyn Kane and Morgan James - 3.75/5 stars
One Night in Hartswood by Emma Denny - 5/5 stars
I honestly don't know why, when I received this book in like, November, I didn't immediately put it on the top of my TBR pile. I knew I was going to love it; I was super excited to get my copy. Every time I've shuffled my TBR (like, my actual physical TBR...it's a whole thing...it's actually been mistaken for my full book collection but haha no that's just 200 books I haven't read yet sitting on my stairs...), I've lamented that it's not closer to the top. And then I realized, this is literally my TBR and my own weird fake rules that I've made up about it, so I can actually just pull it from the stack and read it now. So I did!
And yeah, I loved it. So much. Raff and Penn will probably live rent free in my mind forever, not to mention Ash and Lily. I loved the medieval setting (another setting you don't see much in queer historical romance!) and how it really felt like a different world than ours. Plus I'm a sucker for road trip romances. And daddy issues. And horrific scars.
And ugh, the training scenes. The sexual tension. The PINING. Masterfully done. Chef's kiss.
Also we're going to find out who Oliver was, right? RIGHT??? And what happened to Penn's brother?
Out of Touch by Michael Sarais - DNF at pg 7
The Long Call by Ann Cleeves - 4.25/5 stars
Always enjoy a mystery that's well-paced and well-written. I've never actually read anything by Ann Cleeves but I'm going to pick up the rest of this series.
The Death I Gave Him by Em X Liu - DNF at pg 284

Okay I just have to add tlosh and then the timeline is done but I figured I’d make a key rn because the timeline may be hard to understand
(For those unaware I’ve made a very detailed timeline of eah)
For most things I will have the name of the episode/chapter and then in brackets where it’s from
Books:
tsbol = the storybook of legends, by Shannon hale
tuota = the unfairest of them all, by Shannon hale
aww = a wonderlandiful world all, by Shannon hale
ouat = once upon a time all, by Shannon hale
ntv = next top villain, by Suzanne Selfors
k&s = kiss and spell, by Suzanne Selfors
asckl = a semi charming kinda life, by Suzanne Selfors
fgt = fairies got talent, by Suzanne Selfors
toh = truth or hair, by Suzanne Selfors
fte = fairy tail ending, by Suzanne Selfors
ouap = once upon a pet, by Suzanne Selfors
tcsc = when the clock strikes Cupid, by Lisa Shea
catb = cerise and the beast, by Lisa Shea
rattb = rosabella and the three bears, by Lisa Shea
doaeq = diary of an evil queen, by stacia deutsh
tsdoaw = the secret diary of Apple white, by Heather Alexander
tsdorq = the secret diary of raven queen, by Heather Alexander
cc = the class of classics, by Leigh Dragoon
Link here to all of them
Diaries:
All the diaries have six chapters. So I will say chapter x for which ever chapter it is.
And then in brackets I’ll put (d. ) (this stands for diary) and then whichever characters diary it is.
Some examples would be:
Chapter 2 (d. lizzie)
Chapter 6 (d. cerise)
Etc
Those are for the signature dolls. There are some diaries for specials so I’ll put the name of what the diary is titled and then (diary)
Example:
Ravens review (diary)
A link to the signature dolls diaries
A link to the other diaries
Specials/webisodes:
I’ll simply put the name of the episode and (series) beside it. Simple as that.
Because every should be watching the same format if a webisode / special over laps with something else I’ll split them apart
For example:
- Apples tale 0-3:27 (series)
- Ravens tale 0-3:14 (series)
A link to all the webisodes (in order of my timeline)
And a link to the specials (if you don’t have Netflix)

Play the Fool - Dottore
Author Notes: Happy MerMay Genshin! This fic happened kind of spontaneously but I had a lot of fun writing it! Depending on how well it's received and what I feel like there may end up being a part two. I listened to "Black Sea" by Natasha Blume while writing this fic and I'm not gonna lie, this fic did not turn out how it was originally slated to. But I'm fairly happy with it. Dottore's merman fish base was a betta fish. Reader is gender-neutral. I hope you enjoy!
Type: MerMay/ Mer-Dottore/ Merman AU/ gender-neutral reader/ I'm not gonna label this as fluff since that doesn't feel quite right, but know that it's NOT angst, yandere, or anything like that
Word Count: 1327
Trigger Warning: Discussion of past crimes including murder (Dottore), Fatui are generally shady
{Part 1: You're Here!}, {Part 2}, {Part 3}, {Part 4}, {Part 5}
EDIT: Entire series now available on AO3! (link deleted due to glitches)
I sat just outside the tank, watching the mysterious merman swim to and fro. Writing impossibly difficult equations with a sharpie on the glass walls of his tank as he continued on about his work and ignored me just like he always did.
According to some of the Fatui scientists who’d occasionally pass by to gossip and puzzle about the strange things he wrote, this odd man had once been the infamous Dottore. The second of the harbingers that worked for the Tsaritsa herself. But then something had gone horribly wrong in an experiment, and he’d turned into this.
An exotic merman that looked more like something out of a fairy tale than a horrific science accident. But then, fairy tales often served as warnings of some sort, didn’t they?
Either way, his mistake had given some of his less-than-loyal lackeys the chance they needed.
He’d been shoved into a tank and presented to the Tsaritsa as a centerpiece for her viewing pleasure. After that, each of them had become heads of the Fatui’s research labs.
Their betrayal had not been taken lightly, though, and at least three of them had been dragged into his tank and murdered when they’d come by to feed him.
That was why they had hired an outsider to feed and care for the Harbinger, turned merman by his own crazed experiments. An outsider who was, namely, me.
Though I’d initially been terrified of the man, he was hardly frightening now. As long as I didn’t bug him when I gave him his food and kept his tank clean, he largely ignored me. Well, unless he wanted something for his work that continued even now within his tank.
Because despite the fact that he never spoke and had exchanged his legs for fins, Dottore remained intelligent. The trouble was, no one could truly understand what he was working on. The scientists only ever said that, from what they could interpret, it was groundbreaking.
But that wasn’t the only way my charge showed off his cleverness.
Whenever one of the few remaining scientists who’d been party to his betrayal came by to gloat about their victory or scowl at his writings that even they couldn’t understand, there was risk.
Almost inevitably, he would find a way to lure them closer and somehow, without any words, convince them to open the tank despite the risks they knew he posed.
Because while Dottore didn’t seem to kill without reason, he did kill for revenge.
He’d never offered to harm me, but maybe that was because I served a purpose. After all, I was the only person who was willing to take care of his tank and feed him now.
Even the other Harbingers didn’t come by anymore, and the Tsaritsa had long since abandoned her ‘pet.’
He swirled through the water, his long, brilliantly blue tail fins spiraling around him like silk robes as he twisted. Looking over towards where I sat.
I straightened slightly, surprised that my presence was even being acknowledged by the usually uninterested man, and, after a brief moment, he abandoned his pen. Letting it drop from his long fingers and drift to the bottom of the tank before he swam towards me.
He stopped just short of the wall, a smile curving across his face, before he reached out with both hands. Pressing his tapered fingertips to the pristine glass that created a wall between us.
Curious, I mirrored his motions, placing my own fingertips on the glass right over where his rested. My eyes widened as he proceeded to flatten his entire hand on the glass, spreading his fingers as I, for reasons that even I didn’t understand, did the same.
It was like he was trying to communicate something to me, despite the fact that our interactions up until now had largely been limited to him pointing at whatever he wanted or scowling at me when I cleaned his tank.
He was the first to pull away, pulling one hand away to point up towards the top of the tank, the only place the water could be accessed from. I hesitated, realizing that the only other people I'd ever seen him direct to that location had been his would-be victims, whom I’d always only barely managed to stop.
I had been up there numerous times to toss his food or whatever item he’d requested by imperiously pointing at in, but I’d never done so simply to meet with him.
My fingers slid down the glass slightly, a frown creeping onto my face as my fingertips came to rest just over his palm, “If you try to drown me, I’m quitting.”
My words had only been muttered, but judging from the smile, devoid of kindness, that spread across his face, he had heard them and was pleased.
I stepped away from the glass, my gaze staying on him, floating with only a twitch of his finned tail, until I at last turned to mount the metal staircase that led to the tank’s top.
I stepped up lightly, watching as he swam upwards, following my ascent in a far more fluid fashion as he glided silently through the water.
My steps had been unhesitating, but I paused as I reached towards the button that would lift the ceiling of the tank off. It was the only thing separating me from the merman who waited just below it.
He would be furious if I aborted now, but that wasn’t my concern at the moment. My only worry at the moment would be what he might do if I did open the tank.
Would he attack and drown me? I had no clue how strong he actually was, but judging from his success rate thus far, I doubted I could get away from him.
The scientists he’d drowned were all members of the Fatui. Trained to serve that Tsaritsa in whatever way she needed.
I wasn’t. I had no training or skills to assist me should he try to hurt me.
And yet I found myself pressing the button and watching as the machines activated even as I maintained a reasonably safe distance. I would listen to him, I was curious after all. But I also wouldn’t make it easy for him to attack me.
The sounds of metal sliding against metal filled the air as the tank's lid was slowly lifted off and the seal that held it to the tank’s thick glass walls burst.
Sure enough, there he was. Just under the surface of the water and looking directly up at me like he wasn’t surprised in the slightest that I’d done just as he’d wished. But up until now, I suppose I’d seemed totally obedient to his whims from his perspective. Well, except for when I would save his would-be victims from his machinations. And even that never seemed to really upset him. Rather, he’d always seemed more amused as he eyed the careful distance I kept between us.
With a mere twitch of his tail, he surfaced, and I watched as he did something new. Something I’d never seen him do before, even when he was tempting foolish scientists closer.
He spoke.
“I always knew you were far more clever than most of the others here.” My eyes widened at the sound of his smooth voice. Wholly unfamiliar to my ears but strangely relaxing.
I shifted, still keeping my distance even though it was almost instinctive to step closer to him. I was curious, but cautious. And now that I was here, listening to the previously silent merman, I would play the fool and hear him out, “What do you want?
He drifted closer, either pushed by the water or by his own motions; I didn’t know which since my attention was on the single word that left his mouth as he lifted the mask from his face, revealing bright red eyes that I’d never seen before, “Out.”

Little doggie Borrower
Yae Publishing House made a recent article about a tiny Borrower with similar appearance to the infamous Ms. Hina. Itto makes it his soul purpose to witness this tiny person for himself.
“Itto… it’s so early in the morning! Where are you even planning on heading off now?” Granny Oni grumbles at Itto in concern as he stuffs a small satchel with supplies.
“Did you see what Yae Publishing House published today!? Here! Look, look!!” Itto picks a paper up and shuffles over to Granny Oni, showing her the contents of the paper. “Look what it says! Borrower with a similar appearance to Ms. Hina on Yashiori Island!!” Itto is practically squealing as he lets his imagination take over. “Just imagine! A pocket size Ms. Hina… oooh man!! I gotta see this myself, Granny!” Itto bites his lip in a huge grin as Granny Oni observes the page.
“Itto, do you even know if this is real..? In all my years of living I’ve never seen ‘tiny person’ well.. Borrower before; they're only fairy tales.” Granny Oni sighs seeing the glimmer of light in Ittos crimson eyes, not showing any signs of giving up on this journey. “They gotta be real if Yae Publishing House covered it! They'd never lie! Don’t worry Granny I’ll be fine, promise!” Itto walks back over to his satchel, stuffing the paper inside and swinging it over his shoulder.
He could barely contain his excitement as he stared off in the direction of where his travels headed. Not wasting any more time he pranced over to Granny Oni, hugging her tightly, and kissing her cheek. "I'm off now Granny! I'll be careful, I pinky promise!!" Itto yells running off on his way to get a glimpse of this tiny person.
With a spring in his step, filled with determination in his eyes, Itto makes his way to where the location of the sighting is. A small area near Fort Fujitou…
.
.
.
It was a late morning in the outskirts of Fort Fujitou, still damp outside from the recent occurring thunderstorms that night. A single bead of water glides down a large leaf overhead of a hallow tree stump, the water gets to the tip of the leaf and falls down right on top of a little sleeping figure, startling him awake.
“Wah!? Awh..” *Gorou grumbles as he sits up in his makeshift bed of leaves and grass. He shakes the remaining water that dropped on him out his hair, his ear twitches a couple times as he rubs the sleep out of his eyes. “Mmh.. is it still morning?” *Gorou asks himself as he gets out of bed, smoothing his fluffed up tail down with his hands.
Gorou makes sure all his trinkets he's collected are in the right place and hasn't been affected by the rain… “Hm.. if the storms get worse I'm gonna have to move again before I get swept away.” Gorou shivers at the thought, rain is one of the biggest dangers for a Borrower…
Shaking those thoughts away, Gorou made his way outside his little hideout, into the sunlight outside. Letting his fur warm up in the sun, Gorou closed his eyes with a small sigh when he suddenly felt the coolness of shade. Was the sun covered by clouds? Gorou wonders as he opens his eyes, expecting to see the sight of the sun shrouded by thick clouds… but he's met with the sight of two red eyes staring down at him. Gorou’s blood instantly ran cold and his tail puffed up in seconds. A..a human!? No… how did I not notice- Wh- what do they want!? Oh god please don't hurt me… Gorou trembled under the gaze of this ‘human’, unable to move an inch from pure fear.
“Oh… my… GOD!!!” Itto exclaimed as he stared down at the tiny person before him, Itto's eyes sparkled like thousands of stars in a night sky. “I knew Yae Publishing House wouldn't lie!! Ohhhh.. you look so much like Ms. Hina!” Itto got down on his hands and knees to get a closer look at the petrified tiny.
M..Ms. Hina..!? Who is that!? Why is this person staring at me like that!? Gorou had so many alarms ringing off in his head, telling him to run away as fast as he can… but he still can't move an inch.
“Hmmm? What's wrong, little guy? Do you speak?” Itto tilted his head to the side as he observed the tiny before him. Is he scared of me? But why would he be? I'm harmless!! Is it my horns..? Itto frowned a bit as the tiny still hasn't said anything. “Ey.. are you scared of me?!” Itto asked in a confused tone as his eyebrow lifted up a bit.
Gorou blinked multiple times in disbelief. H..how could I not be scared of a giant man staring at me like I'm some type of treasure!? Why would he even ask that! …Wait.. he probably thinks… he's not terrifying at all!! Gorou got a cold sweat as his mind raced with thoughts, the one thought of this man not knowing how much of a danger he is to little Gorou sends enough adrenaline through Gorou’s body for him to turn on his heel and start running away as fast as his tiny legs could… He should've known running wouldn't change anything.
Itto's huge hand suddenly came down in front of Gorou like a giant unmovable wall, making Gorou shriek as his tail shot straight up in the air. “Now, now! Don't move now little guy!” Itto's fingers start to close around Gorou, making Gorou panic and scramble away from Itto's huge hand. “Ahh- hey! Don't move away! Lemme pick you up!” Itto whines as he moves his hand towards Gorou.
“Wahh!! No! Leave me alone!!” Gorou cried out as he continued to back away from the huge approaching hand, his heart feeling like it's gonna burst out his chest.
“Ooh! You can talk! Your voice sounds cute!!” Itto bites his lip as he can barely contain his excitement. He lunges towards Gorou with outstretched hands, not wanting him to get away.
Gorou yelps seeing the giant man's hands coming towards him again. Gorou manages to leap out the way just before Itto's hand came swooping down in the spot he was just standing.
“A-!? Hey!! Stop avoiding me!” Itto is getting impatient and antsy since he's failing at capturing such a tiny being. Gorou obviously doesn't listen to anything Itto is saying. Spinning on his heel, Gorou finally gets back the ability to run again and he takes off running away from Itto.
I can't stop! I can't stop!! I gotta keep running, I won't let that giant catch me!! Gorou pants heavily as he runs away like his life depends on it. Glancing over his shoulder, Gorou nearly leaps a foot in the air as he sees the man start chasing after him. “Oh no! Oh god!!” Gorou panics knowing one step from the man is at least 10 for him.. so he'll end up being caught in no time!!
“Ey!! Come back tiny bro!! I promise I'm not gonna eat ya!!” Itto pleads as he runs after Gorou, gaining on him in the matter of seconds.
Gorou's eyes frantically look around for any way to get out of this nightmare of a situation, distracted by his own rampid thoughts Gorou runs into a pebble on the ground which makes him stumble back to a halt. “Ah! Ow-” Gorou whined out, his tail sticking straight up as he felt the massive tremors in the ground getting stronger from Itto almost getting to him. In one last attempt to save himself, with all his little strength he picked up the pebble (which is really like a large rock to him), and pathetically throws it towards Itto. The pebble lands at Ittos feet, Itto comes to a stop as he stares down at the little pebble trying to figure out what it is. Is that.. a… A BEAN!?
“AHHHH!! A BEAN!!!” Itto screams as he scrambles back, tripping on his own feet and landing on his rear with a loud thud that shook the earth for Gorou. Itto curls up and rocks back and forth like a terrified child, whimpering to himself.
Gorou stands there completely dumbfounded. His mouth slightly opens in shock as he stares up at the giant man terrified of… a pebble.. let alone a pebble that looks like a bean. “U..um… it's just a.. pebble.” Gorou says awkwardly.
Itto abruptly stops whimpering and peeks from behind his hands down at the pebble on the ground. It was indeed, just a pebble.
“Coughs.. U-uhm.. O-of course I knew that!! I.. I uh- was just acting! Haha!!” Itto laughs awkwardly trying to cover the fact that he was whimpering like a baby from just a small little pebble.
Gorou stares up at Itto, utterly perplexed. Unable to hold back Gorou stifles a small laugh before clamping his hand over his mouth, glancing up at Itto to see his face turning red from embarrassment.
“Are.. are you laughing at me!?” Itto stammers, his cheeks flushed. “D-.. uh- don't laugh at me!! That's mean!” Whined Itto as he covered his face with his hands, trying to keep some dignity by not turning into a tomato in front of the Borrower.
Watching Itto's reactions Gorou couldn't help but to laugh a bit harder this time, Itto jumps in embarrassment as he peeks through his hands down at Gorou. Puffing up his cheeks Itto lets out a frustrated grumble before lunging forward and clasping his huge hands around Gorou, trapping the Borrower within his hands. In those few seconds all Gorou experienced was Itto's giants hands coming down on him and the mini earthquake Ittos movements made.
Ittos embarrassment vanishes as a cheeky grin spreads across his face as he hears Gorou’s tiny yelp within his hands. “Ha! Not laughing now are ya tiny bro!?” Itto yells triumphantly as he rises up to his knees, keeping his hands tightly enclosed around Gorou.
Not even a split second later Ittos expression quickly changes to surprise and then regret as he hears the tiny whimpers coming from within his hand. “Oh shoot.. ah- may of messed up.. here.” Itto stammers with a guilty voice. How could he be so rowdy with someone so small!? He's more gentler with the kids he steals candy from than what he's doing now.
Itto slowly opens his hands, cupping Gorou between them as he peers down at Gorou. Itto winces as he sees Gorous little body trembling like a leaf, his brown tail curled into his body and his ears pressed against his head as he has his eyes shut. Itto bites his lip, frantically looking around for anything to fix this. “Ahh, I'm sorry little bro- h- um.. hold on, just- don't cry, please!” Itto stares down at Gorou apologetically.
“Hm.. maybe shade will help?” Itto glances around and sees a nearby tree, he walks over to a common Sunsettia tree, he sits down on a stump beside it. He feels like such an idiot for scaring the tiniest person he's ever met in the short time he discovered Gorou. “Uh.. hm…” Itto glances up and sees a Sunsettia within his reach. Food! That fixes everything! ..Right? Itto gets a glimmer in his eye as he thinks he found a way to be forgiven by the Borrower.
Itto reaches up with his freehand, grasping the Sunsettia and plucks the fruit from the tree. With an uneasy look on his face, Itto slowly lowers the fruit towards Gorou in an attempt to offer it to him. Gorou yelps, feeling the smooth skin of the fruit brush against his tiny arms and causes him to look up to be met with the slight of the Sunsettia. Gorous eyes slightly widen, a perfect Sunsettia is rare for little people since only the overripe ones are accessible after they've fallen from the tree.
Gorou cautiously looks up at Itto, Itto looks so stressed and nervous like Gorous decision is the most important in the world. Timidly glancing back and forth between Itto and the fruit before him, Gorou slowly leans in and takes a tiny bite of the Sunsettia. Gorou’s eyes instantly light up, his stiff tail slowly starting to wag as a clear sign of enjoyment which makes Ittos eyes glimmer with relief.
Gorou takes a couple more bites of the Sunsettia before letting out a hum of enjoyment and wagging his tail happily. Ittos eyes sparkle as he mentally freaks out about the adorable behavior of the tiny. After a few moments of silence and Gorou enjoying the fruit, Itto speaks up. “So.. are we good?” Itto makes a small guilty grin as his expression looks hopeful and stressed out at the same time.
Gorous ears tuck against his head as he glances up at Itto, this giant oaf still poses danger to him so he's unsure if he feels the slightest bit safe around Itto. Gorou looks back down at the Sunsettia before giving a little shrug before speaking. “I.. guess so.. maybe?” Gorou slightly looks up at Itto to see his reaction.
Itto grins brightly before pumping his fist in the air. “Yesss! I got mini Ms. Hinas trust!!” Itto whispers triumphantly as Gorou stares up at him in pure confusion… Who in the world is Ms. Hina..!?
