I didn't know that the anxiety trait gave colonists panic attacks. Aw, poor Vu. At least Candlelight was there to help calm her down.

Irwin wants everyone in the colony to have a good time, which is all good and well, except that the food we're binging on is only edible by about three colonists. Everyone else is gonna be living off tea and coffee for two days.

We all headed down to the riverside for the feast, which was very eventful and lovely (well, lovely for some people- Candlelight couldn't walk for a few days, but that's what she gets for getting into a fight with someone who is actually capable of melee combat).

Why does nobody want to take the only colonist I actively dislike?? I don't want to deliberately accidentally get him killed, but it's getting to the point where I think it might be my only option...

yeah, the video went viral well beyond fandom spaces. Many friends I’ve talked to who are “regulars” like Taylor’s music but definitely don’t follow her personal life, or who aren’t fans, have no issue with what Jason did. Now some of it maybe that some of my friends are football fans (as am I), but they aren’t eagles or chiefs fans, and for football reasons many of them dislike Travis. I think it mostly comes down to they see the use of the slur as a response way to hurt the aggressor, and frankly they find what the student did so gross they’re sort of happy to have seen a response. The old fafo.

Think some of this is also a response to election stuff where Trump supporters often get to be gross and violent and Dems seem to constantly be expected to take the high road.

i think this is true too and another facet to it and probably a very common thought, good or bad! and with that, lettuce move on. or not, y'all can send thoughts in, but i'll probably not post, i think the major points have been covered.

The pros of bringing Wendy back are that we will have Wendy back (obviously), Tamarind will be delighted to see her wife again (I assume), and she can give poor Zonovo and Kaz a break from working constantly in the kitchen so they can do their other jobs.

The cons are Kaz losing a finger, Kaz losing 6 hours of efficiency while he's in a coma, and the potential for it to go horribly wrong due to the fact that Wendy has been dead for quite some time now.

I can't decide, so anybody's input is valued! xoxo

Getting through the muck.

I'm not gonna blow sunshine up anybody's kilt--the most miserable muck of a timeline is about to turn into a muck tsunami. How bad it gets, how fast, and for how long? All highly dependent on who you are, whose crosshairs you're in, what kind of support you have, and how successful (or not) the muck-slingers are in slinging muck.

And luck. Lots of luck. Luck isn't just what happens to you. It's also what DOESN'T happen. This gene expresses, that one doesn't. You clear the intersection before the drunk driver in the supersized pickup t-bones the driver 30 seconds behind you. The wind blows this way, your house is saved; that way, it's a pile of ash.

Damned if I have any Sage Advice(TM) for surviving it all. No two lives, brains, situations are exactly alike. The mental gymnastics that work for your bestie might be hell on you and silly for me, for example. And that assumes you feel and react the same way to All The Muck every day. (Hint: in muck tsunamis, y'all probably don't.)

The only maybe-kinda-sage-advice I can share:

Be as nimble as you can. Fanfic binge-fest works today? Awesome, have at it. Makes you feel like muck-covered turds tomorrow? The hell with it; try something else. Clean something (just a little piece of something), journal your brains out (somewhere safe), make tea, hum, whatever. Pay attention to what helps under which circumstances and build a muck-coping toolbox full of options to deploy ASAP.

We don't know how long the infinite muck timeline will last. But, for that matter, neither do the muck-slingers. The spirit of FAFO may bite them in the butt sooner than they think--and if we are very, very lucky, we'll have lots of coping tools handy as we repair and rebuild and make stuff better.
