Like giant waves of stone the rock formations in Utah appear to increase in size as you travel east from the border of Colorado and through Dominguez-Escalante, Grand Mesa, Gunnison and eventually into the massive depth of the Rocky Mountains. It's awesome. https://ift.tt/2z0gmkH

Sunrise aerial photograph over the Maumee River at the downtown Toledo, Ohio Riverwalk. Once upon a time I was fascinated with sunsets, (still am) but now I can't get enough of sunrises. Not just the beauty of the colors either, it's experiencing the beginning of a new day of possiblity; the energy that I feel at dawn is intoxicating but also has a peacefulness yet powerful sense of possibility of a new day. A long exposure of an autumn night in the "U.P." (Upper Peninsula) of Michigan. The night was a full moon and the clouds added to the feel and mood of the view. Eventually I found the right shutter speed and settings in my camera that resulted in close to the actual view in front of me. 🎑🏞It's funny, I always end up staring into "nothingness" (people would be like wtf), when I am far away from city light pollution and after allowing my eyes to adapt to the darkness. But that's when nothingness reveals it's natural night beauty, colors and details that still blow my mind away sometimes. 😯🤯 https://ift.tt/2PrYu7P
