Who: Joella Suh & @guscaldwcll
Where: The Rabbit Hole
Listening to music was one of Joella's favorite things to do. Being a musical person, she could enjoy and appreciate many different types of music. New Orleans was a place to listen to jazz, listen to all the artists in the birthplace of the genre. She and Gus were at The Rabbit Hole to do just that. “This is pretty great,” she grinned over at him as the band got set up on the stage.

“You pinky swear? Dang. Must be the real deal, then,” Mandy smirked. She chuckled and ran her hand through her hair. “Well, we might as well give it a try, huh?” She said. “I mean it’s ice. That’s why the effective way to wake someone up is to throw ice cold water at them. It’s also the most effective way to lose friends. Right after saying “let’s play monopoly,” she laughed. “But… if you insist this will do a world of good for us, then I should,” she looked over at him, toeing closer to the edge of the water.
"No problem," he nodded. If anything, if Mandy came out looking any different than she did now, it wouldn't be a huge problem. Merrock has seen wackier things before. "I pinky swear that it's not as bad as you might think it is. It's a total shock when you jump in, but it's pretty great after everything is said and done." A laugh escaped his lips. "Both? Nah, I think it's a good reset for your body. Makes you feel that much more aware of things and helps you relax more. At least that's in my experience."

Vera had a few things that needed to be dry cleaned. It wasn't usually that they came there, but for some pieces of clothes, the gentle cycle just wouldn't do. They were holding her dress in a garment bag waiting in line to hand it to the attendant. at the counter. "Hmm?" they said with a hum. "Oh!" they blushed, quickly covering their face with their hands. "I'm so sorry," Vera said, not realizing when they brought their dress in, that it included their undergarment half-slip. "So so so sorry... um. Thank you."
who: GUS & OPEN.
where: Get Clean Coin Wash & Dry Cleaners.
when: mid-afternoon in late January.
Gus sat quietly in a corner, watching the other people go about their day. The steady thrum of washing machines and the relaxing hum of the dryers drowned out the outside noise. If it wasn't for his washer machine breaking down, Gus wouldn't have needed to step foot in the laundry mat. But as his luck usually showed these days, the old machine just couldn't take another wash. Gus had been sitting here for almost a half an hour or so before something caught his attention. Moving to get up from the chair he was sitting in, he picked up a few articles of clothing off the ground before finding the person that he believed the items belonged to. "Excuse me, but I believe these are yours." Gus grinned, handing out the garments back to their assumed rightful owner. "Wouldn't want your items to get lost."

Mandy grinned. “Thanks,” she laughed. “You’re the best,” she looked over at him. “So you’re telling me it’s not that bad?” She asked, eyebrows shooting up. “Are you just saying that because you’re happy to be cold or because it feels really feels nice?”
If he were being honest, Gus completely forgot that Rugrats existed but that animated show did help him through some tough times during childhood. It was nice that Mandy reminded him of that memory. "I've got your back," he nodded. Gus looked back at the waves before looking over to Mandy once again. "Just got out of the water, hoping to get some nice hot cocoa and some warmer clothes on soon. It's not as bad as you might think. The icy water is refreshing, honestly."

Joella loved the simplicity and artistry of jazz music. It was something she had taken up to listening more to when she figured out what she wanted to do as a career. So being in New Orleans she figured she could get into the music scene. “They’re so talented!” Jo nodded. “Do you have a favorite jazz artist?”
Even though Gus had his favorite genres he'd usually stick to, he was someone who was always open-minded when it came to music. Knowing that New Orleans had a deep rooted music scene, especially with Jazz, he wanted to explore some new music while he was in the city. Looking around at the venue, he sent Jo a smile. "I'm diggin' it already," he spoke honestly, smile still on his face. "And what better way to listen to some jazz than in New Orleans where it all began, yeah?"
