"Yeah, here's some life advice...Ask someone who's not thirty-four and twice divorced." Ash chuckled. The idea anyone would come to her for life advice seemed far fetched at best to the brunette. "Kellan Nepofarmbaby Newman. Has a nice ring. So the whole Brooksie nickname just came out of thin air, then?" As he said he'd believe anything she said about witchcraft, she thought for a second. "Well, it's just about the time of year that Litha is celebrated. And the point of Litha is to tell your sister how awesome she is and bring her pastries at work....every day."

Glancing towards Ash, he stretched his arms over his head, his words slurring a little as they broke the silence between them. “So what are your plans after this? This is your third year, right?” He asked, his eyes narrowing a little as he leaned forward to pour himself another glass.

Night out || Ashley/Jared

Jared: Jared honestly was really enjoying his night out. And he knew Jensen was too. So much had been going on the last few weeks between both of their personal lives that it was nice to have a little bit of a slow down. Throwing in the fact that he hadn’t seen Ashley in so damn long and it was definitely a good night. Walking out of the bathroom, he sidestepped to avoid a few other slightly tipsy patrons as he wiped his hands on his pants and made it up to the bar, taking his seat back by Ashley. “I know I already said it, Ash, but it really is good to see you again. I needed a night out. Jensen did too.”

F2F: Throwdown

Odette was up and dressed late for a Saturday, she intended to head out to the campus shop to grab more chips. She brought a bunch of her boxed stuff out and dumped it on the table to clear more of a path in her room, it was some stuff she had never bothered unpacking when she moved in. Odette scanned an eye over some of her things she hadn’t seen in a while and saw a box that she didn’t recognize at all. She couldn’t tell if it had been on the table before now. 

The contents weren’t things Odette was too interested in, just clutter; some letters and objects. Odette saw a particular ring which was quite pretty an looked at it closer- it was very small, she wondered if it had been from when she was little, or maybe it had been her Mom’s? She had kept lots of little bits from her Mom’s old room. She tried it on and it looked nice but... nothing special, and it didn’t budge when she tried to slip it back off so Odette just shrugged and resigned to wearing it for the day. 

She then set out to get chips, leaving her shit haphazardly behind her, as usual.

September 12 and 13, 2022

Yesterday, I felt a gush of sadness and I started tearing up. “Na-miss ko nanaman aso ko.” I cried and cried in the car because I felt like I no longer miss him that much. I felt really bad and I think Robin understood and wanted to spend the afternoon at home instead of attending a conference f2f. On our way home, we passed by the church and I knew instantly that I needed to drop by. I remember the last time I lit a candle there was when I was begging for Rob’s life. And when Robs died, I took it as an unanswered prayer. A BIG NO from God. I was furious and I was very disappointed (kapal ko pala!Sorry Lord :(() at Him and the world. In my head, “huling andito ako di ako pinagbigyan ni Lord baka di niya ako pakinggan nanaman.” But keeping in mind the homily during the time we got Robs’ ashes, sabi ni Lord: He always answers our prayers. Always. It may sometimes be not what we prayed for but it will always be He wants for us. And the most important thing to do is to continue praying. Even when you feel like it was a NO, continue praying. So I did.  

While I was holding my candles yesterday, I kept repeating in my head: “Just pray. Pray, pray, pray.”  Today, I received what I prayed for the whole year. I may have experienced the greatest heartbreak I’ve had in years but now I truly believe that He listens and He answers all our prayers. All in His time. TYLJ. All that I have is from You and for You. <3

ashley: had been looking forward to seeing alex since she texted him last night. ashley knew he wasn't super excited to be here, but she felt a need to help him get out of the funk that he'd been in. ashley walked out of the room and made her way down to alex's. once there, ashley knocked on the door. "hey, come on sleepy head!" she yelled through the door.

Forgoing the elevator and opting for the stairs, Ashley took the extra time to make sure his hair and makeup job was exactly up to his lofty standards. Anyone that knew him for the most fleeting of moments could tell he was a bit of a romantic, and a bit of a flirt, those two things being what got him here. He’d taken a liking to Jesse based on his charm and willingness to be under his brush - something many men wouldn’t give a chance on. He wasn’t expecting much, but he couldn’t help but want to take him on at least one outing.

As he stepped off the end of the stairs and made his way into the hallway he waited patiently, occupying himself with a re-check of his nails - a typical fidgeting action of his.

Ash: Ashley chuckled as she read the text from her ex. She made sure that Brady was set and eating his breakfast before she grabbed a warm towel out of the dryer and made her way upstairs. She walked into the master bedroom. She wasn't ready for the feelings that would hit her. It was the same room she had been in for years, but it was somehow different. After pausing for a moment, she walked towards the bathroom door and knocked. "I got the towel you asked for." she said through the door.

Ash took the steps to the roof in stride, two at a time, a single cigarette from her stash cupped carefully in her palm. She pushed through the heavy door and took in a deep breath of fresh cool evening air. The sun had just set and darkness was settling over the campus. Ash walked to the edge, gave a glace around to ensure she was alone and then tucked herself up beside a boxed in electrical hub to light her cigarette and take a puff. Even though she had just begun attending the school, coming up to the roof to discretely smoke was starting to become a habit.

REFLECTION | LJ & Ash

LJ woke up fully rested and with the previous night’s scene still playing back in their mind, over and over again. The day before brought back the love LJ had for TPE, a love they’d forgotten about. Looking over Ash’s sleeping form, LJ smiled and traced over the marks on the submissive’s neck and shoulder. They were still bright and a little swollen and LJ couldn’t take their eyes off of them. When Ash started to stir, LJ pushed their hand back into her hair and leaned forward to press a small kiss to her head. “Morning, sleepy head. I was just admiring the marks I left on you. It was great that his girlfriend came, but he knew the relationship between Lucy and Ashley, having known them both for years, and he wanted to talk to her alone first. Just as he shut the door behind him, he heard the elevator door.
