i met a sweet boy. he’s nothing but nice to me, i haven’t been treated like this before. i’m not used to reciprocated affections or sex that is degrading in the way i like, but lacks the misogynistic intent i think hetero rough sex usually entails. i feel loved - although we aren’t even dating, don’t think i should say that yet. hypland: streetwear, some of the softest sweatpants ive ever owned. their denim jacket is super warm and durable i worked outside all winter in it :")

zara: blah blah blah fuck fast fashion but im p sure we're all below the poverty line so ... these jeans have some of the best fit around the tush and waist. i have them in tweet bird yellow and i love them. tbh idk what it is about zara making their clothes but i dont get hot in them. like my clothes from there stay in rotation the entire time and their stuff is more modest than h&m and f21

i love what piccioli is doing at valentino rn his spring 18 couture is one of my personal favorites.... im glad churi isn't there anymore and is instead destroying dior :)

some of my favorite pieces are from target lmao... their 'a new day' line is comfortable & i rly enjoy the lengths of their skirts !!!

selkie's puff dress and entire aesthetic is to die for, along with reformation. i mostly thrift so other than the usual high end brands i always look out for tommy hilfiger & judy bond. upon writing this i realized my twofaced ex still has my vintage 80s dark green hilfiger sweatshirt. fuck that bitch

Yeah, that is what I realized a little while ago.

Whereas Rainbow High is emulating designer brands, and in a lot of ways LOL OMG is emulating Haute Couture stuff, Barbie (most of the time) is emulating day-to-day wear/fast fashion that can be found at Target/Kohls and somewhat F21/H&M.

I can't remember which ones it was specifically, but there are a handful of Fashionistas that are wearing stuff that looks exactly like stuff I have seen at Target.

And I think that trend of Barbie looks whacky when they try to do ~fashion~ because a lot of their ~fashion~ ideas are filtered through the aforementioned lens of budget clothing/fast fashion, which is fine, I wear a lot of clothes from Target (lol), but it is understandable why Barbie can't keep up when a Barbie Style doll is $25 and comes with a lot of shitty plastic accessories, mediocre-ly made and minorly detailed clothes, pixelated screenings, and the worst quality propylene hair, when for $2 more you can buy a Rainbow High doll that includes two complete outfits full of separates with intricate details and detailed shoes (the construction quality can be hit or miss ngl), with pretty interesting screenings, and (imho) the most amazing doll hair...

So Barbie literally comes out looking like a clown whose tickets are priced too high lol

(Also, I love "Live Laugh Loathe" @ladyyatexel and I may, with your permission, have to make a doll shirt with that on it haha)

According to Papusilemele, the Barbie Extra line has officially replaced BMR1959, and according to leaks, it looks like the Barbie Extra line will be getting MTM bodies.

It is hard to tell, but assuming the images are in scale with one another, it looks like a new skintone Petite MTM, the doll on the bottom right, is a part of the new wave.

The new wave is supposed to be 5 dolls, but I saw rumors of a new MTM Ken, so (this is speculation on my part), maybe Ken will join the line?

Regardless, hopefully the others will leak (not that I'm interested in any of them at this point). It looks like the pigtails doll maybe a Grace head imho and it is hard to tell, but here's hoping the undercut gal is on a curvy MTM at least.

Also, I'm hoping toy leaks will keep flowing since there was no Toy Fair this year and that is where a lot of these things would have been announced.

Love this story by Tamar Braxton, she fired her stylist because he didn't agree that she should rock a piece from Forever 21! She felt no one should make you feel less than, because you wear a $40.00 outfit and I thoroughly agree! My goal as a stylist is to work within a client's budget, mix and match high end style with mass marketed products. I will never make you feel like couture/high end brands are the only way to go. I share fashion and styles no matter what the costs. I will wear a pair of pricey slacks with a Target blouse in a second or a cute workout outfit from Old Navy vs. Lulu any day.
