These drivers are a whole different beast. I would not be able to maintain awkward eye contact with my mechanics for a whole ass 20 seconds with everyone knowing that we're stuck with in the most cursed game of "Red Light, Green Light" because I couldn't control my temper on track

Anyone else notice a pattern in the types of fan fics they read throughout the month? I kinda know that my hormones are heightened when I start seeking out a/b/o fics. Then I'm onto dangerous/angsty stories. Then like a week later I'm back to fluff and the cycle starts again.
Probably oversharing but we're all friends here right?

In public. Stop it. Don't make unwilling people third wheel. Oscar of all people should know that considering the lestappen exploits.

THIS!! I'm sick of people saying it was a mutual decision. There's nothing mutual about an ultimatum for fucks sake.

Insane to think Max and Daniel being so intertwined and connected led to the FIA having to remove the fastest lap point. In a sport about the fastest lap. Daniel and Max could retire and be long gone from this sport, but years from now, Daniel Ricciardo’s last lap hail mary, last lap love declaration, for Max Verstappen, reigning champion, will still be etched in history.
And Maxiel will be forever.

Man, you have to give it to Ollie. Kid's driving with no fear. Is he slipping and sliding everywhere? Yes. Will that stop him? Absolutely not.

Susie Wolff as the Empress (redraw):
The Empress is a mother, a creator, and nurturer. She can represent the creation of life, romance, art, or business. The Empress can represent the germination of an idea before it is ready to be fully born, and the need to be receptive to change.
The Empress is representative of the productivity of the subconscious, seeded by ideas.
She is the symbol of the feminine principle - a representation of venus and mother earth. She is nurturing, and a provider.
There is something to her that suggests a mother figure as well.

I'm sorry but the irony of Nico calling Max unprofessional is sending me so bad like sir there's an entire garage full of people, who were literally in the trenches trying to survive the Brocedes fallout while just doing their jobs, who might have a few things to say about your (& Lewis') level of professionalism at that time 😭✋️
#f1#formula 1#formula one#max verstappen#nico rosberg#lewis hamilton#brocedes#like niki lauda had to try multiple times to literally parent trap them to try and get them on speaking terms it never worked#because one would arrive they'd see the other and the other would leave#& if i remember correctly the garage crew would swap around from race to race as a like see we aren't favouring anybody gesture 😭#and thats no shade to nico because it was both of them contributing to that environment#his comment re max is just making me laugh#like if i was a part of the pr/media team - which is a part of the degree I'm working on irl - at merc that year i would've lost the plot#like its insane reflecting on it nearly a decade later but the poor souls just trying to do their job in the eye of that storm#truly gods strongest soldiers#ngl the professional comment irks me a bit because its not like max is engaging in inappropriate work place behaviour#he's engaging in another aspect of racing that his involvement raises awareness of & that makes racing more accessible#& we all know how inaccessible not only getting into racing is but also to continue to pursue the further along you go#theres so many stories of 1 sibling giving up racing so the other can keep going because the family can't afford for them both to race#its a huge financial strain & we only see a handful of drivers talk about that & try to do something to change it#and nicos fellow sky sports commentators are routinely unprofessional on so many levels#additionally max had a lot of valid reasons to be annoyed at his team today#but alas he's not english so he's ungrateful#i hate that drivers can't criticise their teams or car without immediately being branded as bratty & ungrateful#ESPECIALLY WHEN THEIR JOB IS TO GIVE FEEDBACK#you can see the double standards from sky when say Lando or George have complaints with their team/car v the likes of Max and Yuki#especially Yuki my god the things i would do to get the British media to leave him alone#this was a jokey post at one point and then became a rant whoops lmao#I'll leave it that before i write an actual essay here 😭✋️

“Was it enough?”
A crackle of radio after the fastest lap in Singapore hangs in the air like a death pronouncement. One final moment in the cockpit, and it’s done. 13 years given, everything left out on the track.
“Was it enough?”
One single lap to end it all. The fastest, for one final dance.
One point taken away, from the team that took everything from him.
It’s quiet. The man who is larger than life, the brilliance of Formula One, the last of the late breakers sits in the cockpit and savours the moment for the last time.
A career that has been filled with laughter, champagne and the roar of engines ends quietly under the Marina Bay lights. Not a sound from the team that claimed to be family, not a word from the man who told him to come home only to toss him out two years later. Red Bull’s prodigal son returned home, and realized that home had changed.
Is it fair? The man who gives everything, broken bones and skin stretched over teeth too widely, has been thrown out for someone shiny and young. Not once, but twice. Kept smiling through it all, and maybe hoped that one day, it will hurt a little less.
A kid from Perth burst into the paddock with all his crooked teeth and curly hair, and instantly charmed the world with his smile. The cutthroat world of Formula One is not prepared for someone to be so kind, so genuine, so positive. He smiles, and the whole world is entranced. The personality that changes everything and the inherent goodness that runs so deep is captivating, and everyone wants more. “I’m Daniel Ricciardo, and I’m a car mechanic.” The world of motorsports stops and stares.
257 races. 8 wins. 32 podiums. It’s a career than most would dream of. Many have come, many have gone. None have changed the trajectory of this old money, uptight sport like he has. An infectious laugh that rang through the paddock week after week chipped away at the rigidity of sports media. Many racers are extraordinary, but not like this. To be known is to be loved, and there is none more beloved than Daniel Ricciardo.
“Was it enough?”
The silence rings out under the track floodlights.
Yes, the world answers. It was enough. It was everything.
Thank you, Daniel.
