My son Musa literally believes he can't survive without his tablet or tv. He's only 5 years old so he's not using it for chatting but he's recently learned how to download video games. My greatest worry are his eyes especially when organizations such as World Vision are warning against excessive exposure to electronic screens by children. I'm writing an article on Eyestrain on www.curvymomlifestyle.wordpress.com I'll let y'all know when it's live #eyestrain #eyehealth #worldvision #digitalgadets #digitaldevices https://www.instagram.com/p/B2q7P1XpXCI/?igshid=1g56382q7pdnv

How to Cure Dry eyes , A silent pandemic affecting many .
I work in a creative field and love my job, BUT…
It involves working and networking with a lot of people.
So I end up spending a lot of time on laptop and phone.
My parents feel am addicted to my phone but honestly it’s unavoidable.
It’s a job hazard.
It started giving me problems…in my eye
It began with the slight tired feeling in the eyes, which regretfully I ignored.
Later on, it gave me a burning sensation in my eyes and eventually led to redness.
I tried home remedies, some eye drops suggested by family & friends and even visited a few eye doctors.
But somehow the condition didn’t improve.
And then the condition worsened…
In fact, I started experiencing it with increasing frequency & intensity.
Apart from the physical pain, the unwanted questions & judgements at social and professional meetings were embarrassing as well.
I really wished there was a cure that would put a stop to all of this.
During this time, a friend recommended me to visit Dr. Hardik Parikh at the Global Eye Clinic
He had his mother treated for surgery at the same place and was very pleased with the outcome.
I wasn’t so optimistic as I had visited other eye doctors before with no outcome.
But I still wanted the cure. So I visited Global Eye Clinic.
Dr. Hardik really made the effort to understand and diagnose my problem…
He asked me the right questions.
Truly understood how it was impacting my life and most importantly made me understand the cause of this condition.
I had a lot of queries and he was patient enough to hear and clear those.
Then he recommended a procedure that would cure me in 1 week
He had treated several such cases before, successfully and explained the process in great detail.
I knew exactly what was going to happen & how.
We decided on the date and got the laser treatment done.
It was quick and painless, the part I loved the most.
In addition to that, he prescribed medication for the next 15 days, which I diligently followed.
And now…
It’s been 5 months since treatment and I haven’t had the redness or burning sensation yet.
For those of you who are suffering from similar problems, I have two suggestions:
i) Don’t make the mistake I did, in ignoring & trivialising my condition.
ii) Visit Dr. Hardik to get your treatment. Save time, effort & pain. @srbachchan

How To Cure Cataract And Have NO Spectacle Dependency Post Surgery
Jan 2020 was a special month. We had the privilege of serving our 9000th surgery in Cataract. The patient was a 63-year old gentleman from Andheri, Mumbai.
From what he shared, he had lived a great life.
When he approached us, he had a very simple ask. He wanted to see and experience life the way he had in his early years. For the vast part of his life, he was socially active within his family and friends, loved to travel and was passionate about food and dancing.
But, all of this changed with cataract
When he contracted cataract, his vision started becoming blurry. In his own words, at first he neglected it. He believed it would be a minor thing and he would still be able to see. But over the months, the vision started to deteriorate further and with that he had to severely compromise several things he enjoyed doing. Even something simple and basic like being able to see your loved ones with clarity.
That is when he chose to get the surgery done.
But he had several questions: Would the vision be cured completely? What would the entire process look like - start to end? How long will the surgery last? When will things go back to normal? and several more. Once we had addressed all these queries, he had one more question.
He asked “Will I need to wear any permanent glasses, Even if it’s for reading (post-surgery). I don’t want that dependency. Is it possible?”
As most of you would be aware, as per the standard IOL (Intraocular Lens) surgery procedure, patients are still required to wear glasses to see with clarity. So cataract was cured, but the vision wasn’t and patients were still unhappy. But not anymore.
Introducing Multifocal IOL
Under Multifocal IOL, An advanced lens is used to reduce dependency on glasses for far, intermediate and near sightedness. Over the years, Multifocal IOL has become the preferred approach for patients suffering with cataract as it aims to restore visual function and allow spectacle independence after their implantation with great levels of patient satisfaction. Newer Multifocal IOLs have a sinusodal pattern which reduce chances post operative glare and haloes , which were common with conventional Multifocal IOLs.
Artificial intelligence based scanning equipments help choose the right IOL for an individual eye and have transformed the way cataract surgery is planned .
Now we know what you might be thinking. “All this is fine but how did the patient feel and say, post-surgery?”
Here is what he said - “It’s like time has reversed itself. Life is beautiful, once again”. We do what we do, because we love creating these breakthrough moments of transition in our patient’s lives.
Many people have specific queries regarding their condition and we understand that. We are committed to addressing those queries. So please write to us on [email protected] , In case you prefer to speak, you may call on 9500895970.
