This middle-aged woman suffered from double vision as a result of thyroid eye disease (TED). Examination showed a right esotropia (Eye turning in) of about 30 prism diopters. She also had eyelid retraction. She could not tolerate high power prism incorporated into her glasses to give her binocular single vision. Right squint surgery was performed using the resect/recess procedure. During the surgery, the right medial rectus muscle was found to be tight as expected in patient with TED.
