Would You Still Love Me if I Became a Worm? (Fushiguro Megumi x Reader)

"Babe, would you love me if I was a worm?" You asked Megumi who was sitting down outside petting the black divine dog.

"Huh?"

Brows furrowed, he looked back at you with a confused face. Something you usually sees him do often when he was with Yuji and Nobara but never with you.

"All you have to answer is either a yes or a no." You insisted, arms crossed and eyes looking anywhere but your boyfriend.

"What happened?" This time, he stood up, towering over you, while the black dog sat down with a floof.

"Nothing. I was just asking." You replied but you knew he already saw right through you.

He was about to ask again, to confront you, when the two idiots came out, laughing their asses off.

"Pfffft! HAHAHAHA! You wouldn't believe what she did, Megumi. She ate Gojo-sensei's mochis! Thinking you gave it to her!" Yuji, who probably was eavesdropping suddenly came out, alongside Nobara who already was dying from laughter.

"And you know what's the best out of all of it!? She heard him saying he will curse the thief and turned them into a worm. HAHAHAHA!" He continued.

You were about to punch Yuji in the face when Megumi whipped his head from Yuji's to you and his eyes widen with surprised. You can even hear his thoughts saying, "There is no way you would do that right?"

Swallowing your fears and gulping down your nervousness, you nodded but explained why, as short and fast, as you could.

"He left it at my table inside the classroom. You know my seat was close to the window right? It turns out he just left it there and will go back a bit later. During his absence, I ate it. Thinking, you left it for me. I was so happy! When I felt thirsty, I got out and bought myself a drink. On my way back, I heard Gojo-sensei, blazing mad about the mochi thief. He said and promised that he will turn them into a worm when caught. Then, these two idiots was behind me and I still smell like mochi so they found out it was me." Hardly breathing, you explained your side. Even hugging Megumi for comfort as you recalled what happened.

Meanwhile, the two witness was reenacting the way Gojo was mad and cursing the one who ate his special mochis. You promised to punch them later.

You looked up at Megumi and even though annoyed, he sighed in understanding.

"I'll talk to him." You smiled and gave him a kiss on the cheek. You muttered a quiet "Thank you" and hugged him again, on which, he returned back by squishing you warmly.

"So.......the million question was.....would you still love her if she became a worm, Megumi?" Frozen on the spot, your teacher's silly and mocking voice, echoed behind you.

It was way too late when you turned around.
