prequel[?] to the dave and bambi possession thing, but not really! this is just kind of like, when protofunc [this universe's 'expunged'] was trying to catch bambi, who of course, is a stubborn ass and won't go down without a fight

oh, protofunc? okay so just imagine expunged but, paler, a different eye, clawed fingers, and like, way more fucked up instead of the rageful, sadistic, yet somewhat goofy torturer expunged is, protofunc is sadistic, ominous, and knows how to intimidate and give way more than a 'good' scare. it doesn't usually make full use of its powers unless it's having a particularly hard time catching prey. what it does with prey? either mutilates it violently or possesses it and turns it into a minion for itself

Hrmm.. me having thoughts about the player telling Doc all about the human body…

Well, it depends on which version of Doc we are talking about. If it's the humanized version of Doc, I think we can agree that the most interesting parts of the human body would definitely be the head area. Since Grunts lack noses and ears in all iterations (minus the live action versions), those "growths" would capture his interest. I also have a personal headcanon that grunts don't have good hearing or vision. They have durability, but limited flexibility as well. So Doc would probably bend your arms back and examine your extremities closely for the sake of his research and draw similarities between your species. If we are talking about full grunt version of Doc, aka with no arms and stumpy little legs, the human body would be overall interesting. As I have stated in previous posts before, humans have more bones, muscles, and possibly organs than grunts. Despite out thinner skin and lower durability, with enough training we can rival a top-tier grunt in endurance or bend our bodies into ways that may make a grunt visibly nauseous. But our overall appearance would also unsettle grunts. As even Krinkles stated that "The human form would be terrifying to a grunt". So Doc being able to get up close and personal to study such a strange creature would be a definite treat. Plus, the human form seems to share some similarities to the mechanized minions that the machine summons. Unlike grunts, who's hands levitate and float, robots and humans all have arms and limbs. Doc would theorize that maybe there's a connection and his research into the human body or it's form would lead to rather interesting theories. Doc would touch, prod, and maybe even take samples from the human subject in question. All to satiate is bottomless curiosity about the world around him and the connection between the species of grunts and humans as a whole. If you're like me, you'll also know that Krinkles used to state that grunts and humans used to live in the world of Nevada together at one point. But, most likely due to a change of heart, Krinkles eventually decided to just leave Nevada to grunts. Expunging humans from the realm. Which makes me wonder that if humans being in Nevada USED to be canon, and they go extinct or did something else happen? Either way, it would explain how some grunts have eyes and nasal passages when plenty of their species do not.
