It takes a heckuva lot of courage to stand up for what you believe in. Do it anyway and leave any, ANY organisation, person who tries to make you do only what they want you to do. Dare to stand up for what you believe in. Even if you are wrong, it is your mistake to make! To live to your fullness, you must choose to back yourself and believe in yourself enough to go after all you desire even if items standing against the tide of popular opinion. #expressyourtruth

You were born... And then every year, you became less and less like the real you... Every year, you hid parts of you because they would be considered bad, first by your mum, your dad... And then you hid a few more parts from your friends and peers... All those parts they did not want to see... The parts that would make you unacceptable to the clique... Lonely in a crowd... Lonely despite the supposed love... And then you had a ‘come to Jesus’ moment... literally... And for an instant, you felt completely loved! And you thought you could come out of the closet... But there were other rules... Just different from the ones you had before... And so you raised hands and sang songs and people saw leadership in you, invited you to do all kinds of things under their vision... As long as you hid your hidden places... And pretended they were not there... And you played by the rules And jumped through the hoops So they did not see the hidden places... And they let you in to the clique... Accepted you as one of theirs... And you kept the quiet agreement with yourself to hide all those other places... Every year, you felt less and less loved because no one really knew you... There were so many rules about how to live your life... Rules about acceptable sexuality... Rules about acceptable ways to do religion and to draw close to God... Rules about how to be with friends, what subjects you were allowed to talk about... Rules about everything... And so you hid away... Pretended to be like everyone else... You learnt the language of your particular tribe... Quoted it like the best of them... And you tried to belong by hiding away... But one day, you got done with it... You caught a glimpse of something and you realised you did not have to hide... You learnt that you could not keep going through life like this and you did not have to... You suddenly realised that if you had to be anything OTHER THAN YOU FOR ONE MORE SECOND, then you may as well be dead…ALL-FUCKING-READY!
