FRIENDS I made SUCH a good dinner and you are going to hear all about it. Silken tofu "scrambled" with gochujang, a splash of Buldak, sesame oil, salt, and MSG over five-grain rice with "sides" of Korean pickled radish and Thai pickled mustard greens. Served with Liquid IV. Pickles helped with glucose metabolism so I didn't have postprandial POTS glycemic weirdness, tons of salt on the tofu plus in the brines also helped with my haunted heart, it was delicious and healthy and "balanced" and very affordable at Joong Boo though who knows how long that will last (lol).

Kesar Mango Wins Global Favor as Alphonso Loses Export Edge
In the colorful orchard of Indian agriculture, the mango has long been crowned as the king of fruits. Among its regal varieties, Alphonso held a special place, revered for its rich flavor, deep saffron hue, and lofty price tag. However, in recent export seasons, this royal title has quietly slipped from Alphonso's grasp. The new favorite in international markets is the modest yet flavorful Kesar mango.

Are We All Now Banana Republic?
The term "banana republic" is a derogatory term used to describe a politically unstable country with an economy heavily dependent on the export of a single resource, often agricultural products like bananas.
American author O. Henry coined the phrase in 1904 to depict Honduras and neighboring countries exploited by U.S. corporations, such as the United Fruit Company.
Key characteristics of a banana republic:
Economic Dependence, Political Instability, Foreign Influence, Social Inequality, Weak Governance.
Several Central American and Caribbean countries; Honduras, Guatemala, Costa Rica, have been labeled "banana republics" due to the significant influence of American fruit companies in their economies and politics.
While the term originated in the context of banana exports, it is now used more broadly to criticize any country characterized by corruption, political instability, and economic exploitation by a small elite or foreign interest, even when the country doesn’t primarily export bananas.
