FILM REEL

shooting and directing video became one of my favorite mediums when I was young because it allowed me to personally explore my passion for design while working closely as a team with my two best friends.

 My personal strengths include creating narratives with a variety of camera angles and an attention to pace and continuity

WILLIE BIRCH

The aim of this website is to take willie birch’s idea of establishing bonds between artists, children, and community that have been strained during the national endowment for the Arts controversies and ensuing culture wars through a series of visiting artists and giving it a platform to live on and grow after the visiting artists has left.

MOTION REEL

 If art is how we decorate spaces, and music is how we decorate time, then I would propose motion graphics to be the unison of space and time. I find motion graphics to be one of the most captivating ways to create and entertain a narrative. Along with the reel I composed the music.

NINE HERBS CHARM

The nine herbs charm was a human centered design project that consisted of months of research and development into the pagan religion. With the final outcome being a series of nine ingredients for a recipe for the nine herbs charm.

FOLLY

Every year the Folly Theater partners with the Kansas City Art institutes Junior class in a poster design competition. On September 21'st 2018 a panel of the Folly's judges visited KCAI and judged over 60 posters. The “Larry Carlton” poster as well as six others were selected as the official posters for the folly jazz series. In my series I explored using my own illustrations and typographic elements to break from my regular process.

LACTOSE INTOLERANT BOYS

Part of a series of concert posters I designed for the band I started in 2013. The Band was above all an outlet for me to develop parts of a functioning brand.

CURRENT PERSPECTIVES

Kcai's Current Perspectives is an on going lecture series brining in a diverse range of artists to speak in Kcai's Epperson Auditorium. Along with the poster I created a quick experimental motion graphic.

MCUNDERPANTS

This poster was more about exploring and developing my process as a designer then the concept itself. I explored working with a new set of analog elements withing my digital process.

ARE WE HUMAN

Are we human is an experimental narrative video exploringhumans relationship with technology. As well as exploring my own skills developing a narrative and expressing it through motion design.
