A Little Trivia about The Philippine Tarsier: Tarsiers are shy and a nocturnal animal that lead a mostly hidden life. In fact, they sleep in dark hollows close to the ground, near tree trunks and shrubs deep in the impenetrable bushes and forests during the day. They become active only at night. With their keen sight, they are able to manoeuvre around trees to avoid humans. Tarsiers habitually cling vertically to trees and are able to leap from tree branch to another. Due to their unexplainable shyness, the Philippine tarsiers are considered suicidal. If you are planning to visit them in the conservatory, please do not linger too much to watch them.
