4 years later
“Drew, Drew Starkey.”
The waiter checks his name off the list, and gestures inside, “follow me then, Mr Starkey.”
Drew follows the waiter in, looking around the place. Hawks rented the entire restaurant for the night, just like every year, to celebrate the new season. It's his third season with Hawks, so he knew the procedures well enough now.
Tonight will just be free food, bonding with teammates, etc. Could you say he was looking forward to it? No. He would much rather stay home, especially this year.
Why especially this year? Because of his new teammate, Luke.
It wasn’t hatred or anything; in fact, they had amazing chemistry on the court. Communicating through nods or glances, as if they’ve known each other for forever. Really, the coach was shocked at how good they did during preseason; he’s now convinced there’s a chance of winning.
Luke seems to have matured, anger issues not the same as before and actually willing to listen to advice. He was friendly towards Drew, and overall, did not look so bothered about losing the championship during college anymore.
It was Drew who felt uncomfortable around him. Why? Well, he fucked his virgin sister, who was 18 at the time. Worse, whenever Drew stares at Luke for too long, he sees your face. Your eyes, nose, lips, everything.
“Nice suit, man,” one of Drew’s teammates and best friend, Jay, compliments him, as the two approach each other first. Every year it was required to wear formal for this occasion, since high executives would be here to celebrate too. Drew, has worn the same black suit for the third time now.
“Yeah, same with you,” Drew smiles, the two of them engaging in a small hug. “Um, are we seated together?”
“Yeah, over there,” Jay points over to a table near the window. Each table had a maximum of six people, and already two of their teammates were there. “Man, we should some drinks first.”
“No need to remind me,” Drew replies, as the two of them head to the bar area. The goal is to get drunk enough so that the executive's’ speeches would sound interesting, but sober enough to make basic human interactions.
“So, you came alone this year too?” Jay asks, ordering a whiskey, which Drew also signals for.
Drew smiles sourly, his friend reminding him about his single status again. Plenty of hookups throughout the years, but never a proper girlfriend due to his busy schedule. “Y’know me. Too busy for that shit.”
Jay nods, as the whiskeys are presented in front of them. Drew immediately downs his, while Jay just takes a small sip. “Well, I’m seeing someone, if you’re wondering.”
“No shit,” Drew laughs, thinking his friend is kidding. Jay smiles down at his drink, probably thinking about the girl. Oh. He really is seeing someone. “Who’s the lucky girl?”
“Her name’s Phoebe.”
“…and?”
“Yeah. That’s all I’m telling you.”
Drew shakes his head, ordering another whiskey. So much for being friends. “She has a sister, by the way,” Jay speaks up. Oh. Drew knew where this was going. “She might be the perfect one for you.”
Jay’s setting him up. Again. His friend has failed every single time, and it seems like he wasn’t gonna give up. “Hey man,” Drew pats Jay’s shoulder, pursing his lips. “Just quit, okay? I don’t date. Y’know that.”
“When’s the last time you’ve dated then? Have you ever even had a girlfriend?”
Drew frowns, taking his hand off his friend. “Just, no. Please.”
Drew hears a sigh from beside him, and when his second whiskey arrives, he sips on it slowly. “Fine. I just think, that you would be very happy in a relationship.”
Drew smiles against his cup, finding that statement ridiculous. Society was weird, thinking that if one stays single for too long, it meant that they were…depressed in some way. It was tiring.
“Hey, Luke’s here,” Jay suddenly comments. Drew turns around, scanning the place for Luke.
Sure enough, there he was.
And fucking hell.
His eyes land on you, standing beside Luke.
Was it even you? He wasn’t so sure. From far away, it did look like you.
“We should go greet him,” Jay elbows Drew.
Drew did not want to greet him. He is very comfortable here, right next to the bar.
But Jay urges him, leaving him no choice but to walk over. And until Drew was standing directly in front of Luke, was he sure that it was you.
Fuck.
Four years later, and Drew’s body still has reaction towards seeing you. It brings him back to the first night he laid eyes on you, thinking how innocent & pretty you looked in a crowd of drunk and chaotic college students.
You look…amazing. Drew was pretty sure his eyes were widened to the maximum point right now, his brain trying to process the sight of you. Especially, the red dress you were wearing, that's making his imaginations run wild.
No. He must be dreaming right now. After four years, he sees you again? No, this shit only happens in movies, red-string type shit. Was he getting drunk already?
“Um, Drew, you okay?”
Drew quickly averts his gaze back to Luke, his grip on his glass cup tightening. “Yeah, yeah, um, who’s this?” Does he sound cool right now? Because he wasn’t so sure if he was playing his usual chill self.
Luke wraps an arm around your shoulders, pulling you closer. “Meet my sister. Y/n. Y/n, this is Drew and Jay. My teammates.”
Shit. So it is you. The girl that Drew can’t seem to forget, the girl that haunts his wildest fantasies for four years now.
When Drew makes eye contact with you, he expects you to have some sort of reaction. But you don’t. In fact, you just quickly glanced at him, a polite smile on your lips. Do you even remember him? “Nice to meet you,” your voice causes Drew to freeze yet again, his mind going back to that night. Your moans, your laugh, your-
“Dude,” Jay elbows Drew yet again. “Aren’t you going to shake her hand?”
It seems like you already shook Jay’s hand, and it's Drew’s turn now.
He licks his lips embarrassingly, and he shakes your hand. Yep. No doubt it was you. He remembers clearly about the way you scratched his back that night, the tug of your hands in his hair, and your fingertips on his abs-
“Um, kind of need my hand back,” your voice cuts him out of his thoughts.
Oh. He was still holding your hand. He retreats it reluctantly, feeling his ears heat up. Gosh, why is he so flustered right now? He feels the stares of Luke, or more, like glares. “So…where are we seated?” Luke asks.
“Near the window.”
“Great. Um, we’re not late, are we?”
“No one really cares.”
Luke and Jay continue to engage in small talk, whereas Drew just gives up on listening. Not just give up, he literally was unable to engage in anything right now. It feels like he's in a dream.
He can’t tear his eyes away from you, absolutely captivated by you. By this matured, attractive presence you gave off. You were just standing there, trying to appear interested in this small talk.
And a question he kept repeating in his head was: do you remember him, like how he remembers you? Do you still think about him from time to time, like he does about you?
You definitely can feel Drew’s stare, his stare making you feel as if you were under a microscope right now. You turn and meet his eyes, and he panics, yet again.
Your eyes tell nothing, of whether or not you remember him. And the small smile you give him confirms it; you forgot about who he was. Fuck. Now Drew felt like the biggest fool to exist.
“If everyone could get back to their seats! The food will arrive shortly,” the host announces through a loud microphone.
“Let’s go then, I’m starving,” Luke squeezes your shoulders, to get you moving.
“Same,” you look away from Drew, and let Luke guide you over to your table.
Drew immediately gulps the rest of his whiskey down, loosening up his tie. Fuck. This was going to be a long night.
——
Drew wasn’t one to eavesdrop. In fact, he hated eavesdroppers. Why are you listening on someone else’s private conversation?
Well, Drew hates himself very much right now.
You sat near the window, at the very end of the table. Across from you was Drew’s other teammate, Kirk. He sat next to Kirk, and across from Luke. The whole night, it was very obvious that Kirk had a thing for you, asking you questions about your life, hobbies, etc.
So now, Drew knew that you’re currently studying law in college, you hate tomatoes but love ketchup, you like museums, you have a horrible sleep schedule, you want to adopt a cat, you hate the cold-
“You’re single, right?”
That makes Drew choke on his food, causing the table to pause and stare at him. He coughs, feeling his whole face going red. “You okay, dude?” Kirk chuckles, patting Drew’s back, as if it’s any help.
Drew nods, trying to suppress his coughs with the help of water. While drinking, he glances at you, who looks at him with worried eyes. He puts his cup back down, clearing his throat, “so, are you?”
He ignores the skeptical stares from Luke, his eyes only focused on you. Please, please, say yes.
You turn away from Drew, just as Luke suddenly speaks up, changing the topic, “can we get another round of this lobster? Its fucking delicious.”
What? Drew’s gaze stays on you, seeing how you bite down on your bottom lip, eyes glued to your plate. Was it, a violating question? Drew had no idea, but seeing how quickly your mood changes, it leaves a bad scar on him.
——
Huh. you’re staying at the same hotel as him. Well, not just him. The entire team, actually. Luke must have arranged it for you.
Drew stands behind you, hands in pockets, trying to look as if he wasn’t bursting with joy. While waiting for the elevator, you lean on Luke’s shoulder, your body ready to give up.
The elevator opens, and the remaining people all squeeze towards it.
You eventually get squeezed into the corner, with Drew close by. Super close by. With no space at all, Drew is forced to lean into you, his arm against the wall to support him.
This close proximity was driving him insane.
He feels your breast press closely to his lower chest, your face planted really close to his neck. From this proximity, he certainly can smell your perfume, shampoo, everything. He looks down at you; and surprisingly, you were already staring up at him. You send him a lazy smile, your eyes squinted up at him.
Cute. He sends you one too, although his smile might be bigger.
The ding sound is heard, and most of the people inside rush out. Drew was disappointed; he wanted to stay like this for a bit longer.
He gets himself off of you, now that there’s more space in the elevator, leaning against the wall. He wants to look at you (he already stared a lot during dinner though), memorize more of you before he goes to bed, but Luke turns around and faces you. Drew bites his lip, staring into the ceiling. “Told you tonight was fun, right?”
Okay, now Drew needed to eavesdrop.
“The guy in front of me was asking too much.”
Yes. Fireworks went off in Drew’s head. “Yeah, Kirk’s a dick. Don’t, don’t date him,” Luke…jokes? Drew wasn’t sure. “Or, I’ll kick his ass.”
“Wouldn’t even dream of it,” you chuckle, which makes Drew glance at you. He makes sure to get a quick look of your smile again; fast enough so Luke doesn’t notice.
“Do you at least feel better now?”
“…yeah.”
“…I know you’re lying, y/n,” Luke disappointedly says.
No reply heard from you; the ding of the elevator ending the conversation. Drew looks at the screen; the 18th floor. “Goodnight,” you say to Luke, pushing yourself off the wall. To Drew’s surprise, you wave at him. “Goodnight,” you repeat, the same lazy smile on your face.
“Goodnight,” Drew replies, the smile appearing on its own.
The door closes after you leave, and Drew gets hit with a sad realization; he might never see you again. And he hates that thought.
Four years. After four years, he gets another chance to see you. And he’s just gonna let you walk away? Just like he did the first time?
He gets mad suddenly; remembering the lack of interactions the two of you had the entire night, all stolen by Kirk. Luke’s right, Kirk’s a dick. But also, a lucky bastard. He got to sit directly across from you, as well as talk to you. Lucky son of a bitch.
“Are you… gonna get out?”
Drew snaps out of it, looking up at the elevator screen. 24th floor. Luke is holding the door open for him, wondering why he hasn’t stepped out. “Sorry,” Drew murmurs, walking out. Luke follows him, as the two of them had rooms right next to each other.
“You okay, man?” Luke laughs, walking beside Drew.
“Yeah, just drank a bit much,” Drew shrugs, scratching the side of his face.
Luke gets to his room first, “see you tomorrow, then.”
“Yeah, yeah sure,” Drew takes his room card out, pressing it against the door. He gets in without another look at Luke, closing the door behind him.
Huh. So this is how tonight was going to end? Him alone in his hotel room, consumed with the thought of you? (As if he hasn’t been thinking about you for the past four years already) Even Drew was disappointed in himself.
“Fuck,” he curses, still standing in the entrance of his room, running his hands through his hair stressfully. “Fuck.”
——
After knocking on 17 doors, this one might be yours.
Drew stood at the entrance of his room contemplating for ten minutes, whether or not to go see you again. After long chains of thoughts and scenarios, he made up his mind: he’s going to see you.
Problem: he didn’t know your room number. So, he spent almost twenty minutes on the 18th floor, knocking on each door hoping it would be you.
And now, on room 1818. He was mentally & physically tired, but he wasn’t going to give up.
He presses on the doorbell, twice. He waits for a few seconds that felt like minutes, tapping against the wall impatiently. Just as he gets ready to move onto the next room, the door opens.
He looks up, and his eyes widen.
You. You’re as shocked as he is, wondering why someone would knock on your door at such a late hour.
He first notices your slightly wet hair; droplets dripping down your neck. Your makeup is off, and he just finds you even more beautiful than before. His eyes naturally wander down to your body; finding you in a white lingerie dress.
Fuck. His brain is malfunctioning yet again.
“Hello?” He hears you chuckle, which makes him bring his attention back to your face. “Can I help you?”
“Yeah, um, Drew. I’m Drew, from earlier, the dinner?”
“…I know. Can I help you?” You ask him yet again, a polite smile on your lips. You quickly glance down at his body; he’s still wearing his suit from earlier. He must’ve not showered yet, despite it being almost two hours after.
“Um,” he awkwardly licks his lips; All the lines he rehearsed back in his room are now gone. Drew realizes that he’s still standing in the hallway, and he didn’t want to talk to you while standing out here. “Can I, can I come in?”
You furrow your eyebrows, your face clearly showing discomfort.
He mentally panics, and hurries to add, “I want to talk to you, and it’s rather private. And, important.”
You think about it for a few seconds, listing out the pros & cons of this man coming into your room. You look into his eyes, seeing a sense of urgency and yearning in them. Okay. Maybe he can come in for a while.
You step out the doorway, opening the door wider. “Sit on the couch, I’ll prepare…tea? Wine?”
“Anything’s fine,” he says, walking in. You close the door behind him, and when he spots your shoes by the door, he takes his off too.
As he makes himself comfortable on the small couch in front of the bed, you grab your cardigan that rests on one of the dining room chairs, putting it on.
You open the hotel fridge; finding red wine in there. Opening the cupboard, you reach for two glass bottles, and walk towards Drew. He’s taken his suit jacket off, his tie hanging loosely by his neck, his sleeves rolled up. And he’s manspreading, a position you find to be very hot.
You have to admit; Drew was attractive. Even more attractive than your ex. Actually, the most attractive man you’ve ever seen. And, he’s got a charming personality to match it.
But he’s oddly familiar. During the dinner, your gaze can’t help but always drift over to him. Have you seen him from somewhere? Crazy, you can’t seem to remember where you’ve seen him before. An ad? Tv? Huh.
“So?” You start, sitting beside him. You try opening the bottle, but the cork was screwed on too tight.
Drew takes it from you; his hands brushing yours. You watch him effortlessly get the cork out, the pop heard in the room. He pours it into the two glasses, and sets it down. He sends you a small smile when he notices your stares. “Wine?”
“Well, you said anything’s fine,” your lips curl up on their own, as you reach for your wine glass. He offers to clink against yours; and you do, the two of you maintaining eye contact while sipping. After, you put your drink back down on the small coffee table. “Why a late night talk?”
Drew licks his lips, glancing down at his lap. He seems to have trouble forming words, fidgeting with his fingers. You lean back into the couch, curious as to what he’s thinking about.
After seconds that felt like minutes, he said, “You study law?”
Due to the unexpectedness, you chuckle, “yeah. Why?”
He shrugs, “Suits you.”
What is he even saying? “What?” You giggle, at his response.
You don’t miss the tip of his ears going red; even he thinks his response is funny. “I mean, law sounds fun, and you look like lawyer material.”
“Awesome,” you smile at him, trying to hold back your laughter. “And you look like basketball player material.”
His smile mimics yours; just more awkward.
He seems to not know what to say, despite telling you that he had something to say to you. Weird. So, you help him, by asking, “are you nervous about the new season?”
His eyes light up, “My third season with Hawks now. But, still nervous.”
“Third season?” He nods, and you reach for your wine yet again. “Hawks fan?”
“Always been the dream,” he admits to you, “grew up watching them, and when they offered, I just had to say yes.”
“Or because no other team offered?”
Shit. That sounded wayyy too rude. But that was your humor, and also your way of talking. Does he find it offensive? Wait, anyone would find that offensive. You should apologize-
He laughs lightly, taking a huge gulp of his wine. “Come on. Give me more credit.”
So…he isn’t offended by your words? You shrug, “never seen you play.”
He furrows his eyebrows at you, leaning back on the couch. “You’re lying.”
“Didn’t even know you until tonight.”
“Liar,” his voice drops low, but a smirk is seen on his lips, as if he’s catching you in a lie right now. But you were being honest; you really didn’t know him until tonight.
Unless…maybe there’s a reason why he looked so familiar to you? Ugh, why can’t you remember where you’ve seen him from?
“Really,” you say, looking into his blue eyes.
His eyebrows furrow even deeper, trying to figure out if you were being honest or not. You were. Eventually, he leans forward and pours more wine into his glass. “I believe you,” he murmurs, before sipping on the wine. You watch as he gulps it down; his Adam’s apple moving. “But surely, you’re…a fan of Hawks?”
You shake your head, which makes Drew chuckle. “I…know nothing about basketball.”
“What?”
“Yeah, it’s my brother’s passion, not mine.”
“Okay,” he adjusts himself on the couch, his body now fully facing you. “Then tell me about law, or stuff like that.”
“‘Stuff like that’?”
“I might bore you if we keep talking about basketball. So, I’ll listen to you.”
“And law isn’t boring to you?”
“Not if you’re talking,” He sends you a warm smile. Woah. Butterflies that you haven’t felt in forever are now forming inside of you. Butterflies that feel different compared to the ones with Zack. “Come on. Tell me. Like, what’s…what new laws have been enforced?”
You laugh; his perception of law is cute. So, that’s exactly what you explain to him, just in simpler terms. His eyes, lips, body tells you that you’ve got his undivided attention; something that makes you smile while talking.
Huh. Weird how this stranger is willing to listen to you yap about laws & everything, as if what you’re saying was as simple was pie. Huh.
——
“Yes! He said that to me!”
“The audacity,” Drew laughs, making you nod even more.
You’re telling him the story of your classmate, who’s also your academic rival. Once he accused you of sleeping with the professor, that it’s the only reason why you’ve got such good grades. Thinking about it now, it just sounds funny. “It wasn’t true but he was so sure,” you laugh, recalling his red face while confronting you.
“He’s a fucking loser,” Drew continues to add, reaching to pour more wine into your glass. The two of you realize that it’s now empty, and you just shrug at him; not really bothered by it.
You take the chance to glance at the clock; it was two a.m already. The two of you have been talking for more than an hour. You suddenly remembered that Luke told you about an early schedule the team had tomorrow, yet Drew was still sitting here, getting tipsy with you.
“It’s..getting late,” you bring up, pointing at the clock.
Drew turns to it, and his eyes widen. But he turns back to you, shrugging. “I guess?”
Is he not getting what you’re hinting at? So, you just tell him, “Luke told me you guys are doing something early tomorrow.”
Drew stares into your eyes, in a way that gets you nervous. But then he looks away, and nods, biting down on his lip. “Um, yeah, totally forgot.”
You smile politely at him, even though deep down you didn’t want him to go. You liked his company, and although it was mostly you talking, he didn't make you feel bad for it. Drew’s…very comforting.
He grabs his suit jacket, the both of you getting up. “Now I can confidently say, that I know y/n.”
“What?” You smile, wondering what he was saying. You watch as he walks to the doorway, putting his shoes on.
When he’s done, he opens the door, turning back to you. “A very successful lawyer, that handles cases for the president or something.”
You laugh; that only happens in your dreams. You lean against the doorway, staring into his eyes. You really didn’t want him to go.
He leans towards you; giving you a hug. His arms wrap around your shoulders, and you hug his waist. Your nose is now filled with the smell of Drew; just like in the elevator earlier, a mix of cologne & alcohol.
Drew slightly pulls away, just so he could look at you. You do the same, staring up into his eyes, then his lips, then back to his eyes.
He also glances down at your lips, his eyes squinted.
Then, he kisses your cheek.
Then, you stand on your toes, planting a light kiss on his cheek too.
Then, he kisses the corner of your lips.
Then, you kiss his jawline.
You look into his eyes, giving him a smitten smile.
And just like that, Drew couldn’t hold back anymore; he kisses you. The kiss is hungry, passionate, intense, and…
And way too nostalgic for your liking.
Wait. Wait.
You pull away from him, feeling a bit overstimulated. Not just from the kiss itself, but…but because of what it reminds you of.
No fucking way.
It’s all coming back to you now; this was Drew. The Drew.
The one you lost you virginity to, the one that didn’t want you.
Wait. Was this even the right Drew? He looks pretty similar to the one you remember, talks similarly, and strangely, also kisses the same.
“Is something wrong?” His deep voice snaps you out of your thoughts.
Fuck. No. No, it’s not the same Drew. Because, what are the chances of this being the same Drew that took your virginity? Awfully poetic, if this happens to be the same person. Maybe, Drew is somewhere in West Carolina, coaching for some basketball team. And this Drew, was just some doppelgänger.
Okay. Yeah, this, this is just a coincidence. You’re just feeling weird because you broke up with Zack a few days ago. Not a big deal. Just, enjoy having this one-night stand with this attractive man.
You smile, shaking your head. “Just kiss me already,” you murmur, leaning into him. You kiss him lustfully, and he returns it, his hands touching all over you.
He backs you up into the room again, all while his lips are on you. You giggle at his urgency, the door slamming shut behind him.
“Don’t you have to get up early?” You giggle, pulling away.
“I think…it’s not that important,” he throws his suit jacket on the couch, kicks his shoes off, and kisses you again. He kisses you as though it might be the last time he does.
You pull away, just to push him onto the bed. His head lands on the pillows, and he readjusts himself so his back’s against the headboard. He puts his arms behind his head; and suddenly, you’re hit with the same nostalgic feeling.
But you ignore that feeling; it’s in the past now.
He gives you a lazy smirk, as you hover over him, straddling his waist. You can feel his erected cock pressing against your folds. Fuck.
You lean down and kiss him, a euphoric feeling that you might never get over. Your hands are busy; undoing all his buttons in a messy order. He helps you; slightly sitting up and throwing the shirt to the side.
Wow. His body? Sculptured by god himself. “Damn,” you voice out, the words just slipping out. Maybe mostly because of how tipsy you were.
He kisses your collarbone, murmuring, “damn?” There’s a slight chuckle and tease to that, which just makes you smile. Your hands go up to his face, cupping it and forcing him up to stare at you. His eyes…most mesmerizing shade of blue.
Again, you ignore the nostalgic feeling, that similar look in his eyes that the Drew gave you, four years ago. The similarity is uncanny.
“Such pretty eyes…” he murmurs, sharing the same thoughts you have.
His hands slide your cardigan off, discarding it somewhere else. His eyes go down to your neck, leaning forward and sucking on it.
Your head leans back in pleasure; his tongue was skilled, you had to admit. He sucks, bites, licks the area, his hands kneading your breasts through the thin material of the lingerie. His lips are warm and soft, compared to the necklace on you. You shamelessly moan out how good it felt; which just drives him crazier.
Drew’s lips slip lower, sucking on your nipples through the fabric.
“Shit, Drew…” you moan, your hands slipping down his shoulders, running through his abs, and then to the belt. Your hand brushes his boner; fuck. You want him now, the wetness in your underwear proving it.
He smirks against your skin, before pulling away. He glances down at your hands tugging his belt, “didn’t know you were the impatient kind.”
You roll your eyes, pushing him back down on his back. “Just shut up,” you groan, even though the smile was apparent on your lips. You back yourself off his waist, until you were on your knees between his legs. You undo his belt as if you’ve done it before, tugging his pants down.
Holy fuck. You’re salivating at the sight of his dick, fully up and proud.
You just want to wrap your lips around him, letting him use your mouth to satisfy himself. You palm his length through his boxers, leaning down and planting soft kisses along it.
He knows you want to give him a blowjob. He can see the thirst in your eyes. He wants it too; but he stops you, his hand going to wrap around your wrist. “Fuck,” he groans, as you look up at him between his legs. In his perspective, it was a very hot sight to see. But it won’t be as hot as what he’s about to purpose to you. “You… I, I wanna taste you too.”
You cock your head to the side, slightly confused. “So you don’t want me to suck your-“
“Yes, I do but I wanna eat your pussy too-“
“What, what, are you saying-“
Oh. Oh. “69?” You gasp, a slight curl on the corner of your lips.
His lustful and excited eyes confirm it, “you up for it?”
Your pussy is screaming ‘yes!’ But your brain is hesitant; you’ve never done the 69 before. With Zack, he’s tried missionary, doggy, cowgirl, spooning, etc, but never the 69.
Hell, why not? Sounds interesting, and with Drew, it might feel heavenly.
“Teach me,” you say, sitting up.
His eyes widen; either from your approval or your unknowingness to this position. But seeing how intrigued you were to try this, he smirks, nodding. He adjusts himself on the pillows, “you’re in luck, I’m a great teacher.”
“Really?” You lift your dress over your head, now, only left with your underwear on. Drew licks his lips at the sight of your breasts, and when you glance down to his boxers; you see pre-cum already soaking it up.
“M-hm,” he’s clearly lost in the sight of your nakedness. “Back yourself onto my face.”
The way he says it; just makes you even more horny.
You do just as he says, not before sliding your underwear off. You keep looking over your shoulder; spreading your legs as you plant your pussy on his face. You make sure to not fully sit on him; afraid that your weight might suffocate him.
You feel his hands on two sides of your thighs, gripping it tight and pulling you further down. “Relax, babe,” he coos. “Just, sit on me, I can take it.”
“You sure?”
“More than ever.”
And you sink your ass onto his face; until you can feel the tip of his nose poking your entrance, his hot breathe fanning it. Oh shit. “Look, you’re wet already,” he teases, licking the side of your thighs, very close to your pussy.
You groan at the feeling, but Drew quickly reminds you to stay on task, “Lean forward.”
You do; leaning your upper body down till his dick was right in your face. You hoist your upper body up with your elbows, creating a bit of space for you to suck his dick comfortably. You pull his boxers down; and moan at the sight.
“Ready?” He murmurs against your pussy.
You pull your hair to the side, “m-hm.”
You wrap your lips around his the tip of his dick, at the same time, he starts licking your folds. You moan around him, your mind consumed with the pleasure of him making out with your pussy.
You force yourself further down on his cock, the salty pre-cum taste on your tongue. His tip hits the back of your throat; gag reflexes triggering slightly. He was big, so it was a bit struggling to fit him entirely into your mouth.
“Taking it like a good girl, huh?” He manages to groan out, his breath fanning our pussy.
You just moan against his length; starting to bop your head up and down along it, occasionally sucking or biting. Your hand goes to massage his balls; which causes him to moan loudly. Shit. That motivates you to continue massaging his balls, knowing now that it’s what he likes.
He moans against you, while his tongue keeps thrusting itself into your pussy. Fuck, this all felt…so surreal. Is one even able to feel so much pleasure at once, just through oral sex?
The room is now just the sounds of the two of you, moaning and grunting, the bed slightly shaking.
You feel yourself coming close, as Drew continues to make out with your pussy. “Fuck…I’m close, Drew,” you breathe out, bopping your head slower now.
“I’know,” he murmurs, his tongue going slower too. “Just, continue with that, ‘kay?”
A sudden slap to your ass causes you to moan out of surprise, but also a reminder for you to continue wrapping your lips around his dick.
You do so; but only about half-way. With your orgasm coming close, your mouth was close to giving up. Eventually, you pull your mouth entirely away from Drew, wanting to focus on your orgasm.
“Fuck,” he groans, and just when you get ready to come over his mouth, his tongue stops, and you don’t feel his head nuzzled in your ass anymore. You glance back, curious as to what happened. His grip on your thighs loosens, but still resting there. “Lemme take over, yeah?”
You had no idea what that meant. But, you don’t object to it, nodding your head.
In a second, he lifts you off of him, and gets off from his comfortable position on the bed. “You got a condom?” He asks, standing up.
“In my purse,” you point over to the black bag on the small kitchen counter; the one you brought to dinner.
He gives you a teasing smile, while he walks over to get it. “So you knew you were getting laid tonight.”
Well, you always needed to be prepared, right? You lay yourself on the same spot Drew was just in, warm and smelling just like Drew. You prop yourself up with your elbows; eyes looking at his back as he rummages through your bag. He has a nice ass, by the way. “Couldn’t hurt to have it,” you reply lazily.
He turns around with a condom, ripping it open as he walks back to the bed. You watch as he positions himself between your legs, wrapping the condom around his dick.
He leans forward and kisses you, a very sloppy kiss.
You’re taken by surprise when his fingers enter you; causing you to moan into his mouth. “Fuck,” he curses against your lips, his fingers thrusting in. He adds a third digit, which is close to sending you over the edge.
He stretches you out, while his lips now move to your breasts. You arch your back in pleasure, moans showing him how good it felt.
His fingers pull out, and you watch as he aligns his dick with your entrance. Fuck, no matter how many times you see him, it’ll always shock you with how big he is.
You make eye contact with him, which makes him send you a lazy smile. “You good?” Teasing but also caring is heard in his voice.
“Will…I fit?” you ask unsurely.
He chuckles, placing a small kiss on your jawline. “Don’t worry; you’ll fit. And it’ll feel good.”
You nod, trusting him.
He enters you slowly, making sure you can adjust to his size. You moan when his dick is fully nested inside of you, your hands scratching his back. He leans his forehead gently against yours; the both of you catching your breaths.
He feels you relax under him, and intertwines his fingers with yours. His head pulls away, and for a few seconds, it’s just him staring at your face. You watch as his eyes linger to every spot on your face.
“Hey,” you softly say, which comes out more flirtatious.
“Hey,” he returns the greeting to you, sounding breathless. “You’re pretty.”
That makes you smile, and you pull him back down to kiss him. He kisses back, while thrusting into your core. You moan, even though his thrusts were slow.
“Faster,” you moan.
“Yes ma’am.”
Hot. Hot. Hot. Hot. The way his deep voice adds to that line, gets your pussy closer to coming. And a man of his words, he picks up the pace, slamming into you.
The bed shakes even harder now, the moans the two of you produce are shamelessly loud. He trails small kisses along your neck, sucking occasionally.
And as crazy as this thought was; you knew Drew was going to be the best sex you’ve ever had. Might even be better than the night you lost your virginity. He knows all the ways to feel good, to make you feel good.
With each thrust, you feel yourself coming close again. “Shit, Drew. I’m close,” you groan, tightening yourself around his dick.
“I’know babe,” he kisses the corner of your eye. “Cum on my dick; I got you.”
He continues his fast pace, hitting your g-spot repeatedly, until you feel a knot in your stomach go undone.
You cum all over his dick, your body giving up now. Drew helps himself, and you feel him twitch inside of you too. His pacing slows, and you feel warm cum entering his condom.
“…You squirted,” you hear him chuckle, as he rests his head on your shoulder.
Oh shit. How embarrassing. You didn't know you were even capable of squirting. Is Drew grossed out by that? Based on his tone, he might not be, but then again-
“That’s…really fucking hot.”
You feel your cheeks go red just because of his compliment, letting go of his hands. You cover your face out of shyness, “shut up.”
You hear him chuckle again, “really…you’re very hot. And beautiful.”
He holds down on your waist as he slowly pulls out of you. You hear him walking across the room; probably to discard his condom. The warmth of him is gone; but a dip on the side of you tells you that he’s laid down on the bed with you.
This man was unbelievable. First, he shamelessly looks at you during dinner, not engaging in any way with you. Second, he comes into your room in the middle of the night, claiming he’s got ‘important’ stuff to tell you. Third, he listens to long, boring stories about your life. Fourth, he fucks you so good you squirt.
Unbelievable.
You pull your hands away from your face, and you turn to face him. He’s already staring at you, his arms resting behind his head.
The two of you just lay in silence; your eyes dancing all over his facial features. He really does look like the guy you lost your virginity to. Same face, same eyes, nose, lips. The resemblance is…uncanny.
“You…” you want to ask him if he’s Drew. The Drew from four years ago.
But you don’t. For some reason, you just can’t. You can’t bring yourself to ask him.
It was a horrible memory; crying at home for days, just because he rejected you. Crying over a guy that you weren’t even together with. It was a stupid memory, that you kept deep in your heart. Eventually, that memory was pushed to the very back with Zack’s help.
“…we just did 69,” you say instead.
That makes him laugh; sending butterflies to your stomach. “Yeah, we did.”
You’re feeling a bit sleepy now; the tiredness of the sex washing over you. Drew suddenly gets up, and for a moment you think that he’s leaving.
But he wasn’t; simply grabbing some tissues on the coffee table. He spreads your legs, and starts wiping the cum off it. “What a gentleman,” you sarcastically comment, even though you were happy he’s cleaning up after; Zack never does.
“The bare minimum, y/n,” he tells you instead, before getting off the bed again, throwing it away.
Huh. You didn’t know; you’ve ever only been with Zack.
He lays down beside you again, but not before pulling the blanket over you. “Tired?”
“Very,” you murmur, your eyelids feeling heavy. You don’t know why you said it, but you just did, “you can stay here.”
“Wasn’t gonna leave anyways,” he replies back almost instantly.
Warmth spreads throughout you, the comfort of Drew just laying beside you was enough to make you fall asleep.
And you do drift off to sleep, with the last thing on your mind being Drew.
Soon enough, Drew falls asleep too, but not before hugging you closely to him.

Syn has been living in my head rent free so he gets put in situations, situations being going to a nice café apparently and chatting with another shadow mewtwo, hope this is okay @seasidemew also Pikkot and the concept of Stardust Café belongs to @spikyegg!
Business was steady within multiverse Stardust café, Pokémon filed in and out most ordering their treats to go as they continued on their journey through the possibilities while some chose to stay and take a seat, taking a moment to relax within the calm aromatic atmosphere of the shop, freshly baked treats and breads steamed creating a delicious scent with carefully crafted teas to suit. The customers chatted at their tables to those they'd never even met before from entirely different worlds all taking the time to enjoy the delicacies lovingly baked by Pikkot in the kitchen, strangers exchanged cakes and brownies to each other in warmth as for a time a great sense of community was created within the room.
Due to the boundaries of this space within and between universes synergy corrupt individuals found that they quickly mellowed out as the behaviours of seeking more power were impossible in this environment and yet being in this bubble outside of worlds kept them appeased allowing many to return to an almost rational state. Though the many customers still exercised an air of caution about the two dark hued genetic Pokémon that were chatting up a storm at one of the tables, creating a noticeable area of empty seats. The taller, lighter gray hued of the two laughed into his hand as his tail idly swayed the end glowing brightly as it brushed across the floor. The more dark blue gray hued one with bright glowing crackles of energy flashing over her skin continued moving her hands in flourish as she told her story, her tail tip flicked in engagement though rested on a stool rather than laying on the floor like her companion's due to the bright shining and incredibly sharp crystal fused into the tip of her tail.
"Of course I wasn't going to let such a cheap tactic fly, while I understand it from a battle strategy point of view my way of seeing it is, if one is going to execute some cheap trick you need to be sure you can follow through, use it to your advantage to strike an ending blow and win, otherwise you're just gonna piss me off," she laughed a bit of an empty cruel laugh her tail swaying near the base which didn't quite reach the end, "well, I say that is if the miserable little creature had any real chance of winning." Her hand moved, rolling her wrist to flourish with her hand once more, "not to brag or anything." Her tone not matching her statement.
"I will give them the fact they managed to create a mark," her finger touched over a small scar on her forearm tapping it before turning her arm in examination, "not that it's that noticeable, well not noticeable to normal people at least but noticeable to champions," her mouth turned into a grin and although she showed teeth it was playful as her tone complimented casually. Her companion smirked as he raised a brow before relaxing into a chuckle.
"Complimenting me won't make me reconsider my evaluation on how much of a threat you might be," though they watched each other with equal caution there was a level of ease and playfulness to his tone, "but it does boost my ego." She tutted.
"Arceus in heaven above we can't be having that," she remarked playfully. She leant back casually in her chair in a half stretch as he turned from the waist to look around the café casually at hearing the bell on the door chime, he regarded the Bisharp with little interest turning back to sitting forward. There was a softer chime from the order up bell as a short, glasses wearing orange tailed mewtwo collected the plates of cakes and other confectioneries along with the two teacups and a specially chosen tea brewed in a teapot to compliment the taste buds. As they walked around the front desk carefully holding the tray in their hands the Bisharp moved backwards in a deliberate fast beat that saw their foot standing directly on one of the mewtwos toes and their bladed body roughly knocking into them also as the mewtwo staggered from surprise and no doubt pain. Their momentum saw them side stepping before they steadied and slowed the tray still balanced and no treats lost or tea spilt as they sighed in relief.
The Bisharp barked some remark about watching where you're going to the Mewtwo as they continued forward, keeping their head down before arriving at the table of the shadow Pokémon without further incident. Carefully they took the plates from the tray placing them on the table along with the teacups and pot, the lighter one, Syn glanced over the food that had been delivered and brought his eyes over to glance at the other mewtwo, short for mewtwo standards for sure with a short tail to boot, a bump in the chest piece that would indicate a mega stone along with some noticeable scarring around the region. His eyes glanced at the cuts made in their side that were starting to slowly bleed.
"That looked like it hurt," he commented casually as they put down the last of the tables order, he watched them move their shoulder and arm to look at the cuts and frown to themselves.
"aah drat…I guess it did," the mewtwo who he realized was a female spoke from their mouth, "could've been worse though, so glad it wasn't." Her tone was infectiously positive and a bit on the loud side."Pikkots gonna end up making a first aid wall of shame for me though at this rate," she laughs in an easy manner, "well I hope you both enjoy, and Darkness don't cause any trouble."
The darker mewtwo made something of a bleh sound in response as the orange two walked back to the kitchen to go receive first aid for their cuts, giving the bisharp an incredibly wide berth.
Syn made a soft laugh, "I still can't believe you settled on Darkness as your name."
"Oh yea sure Mr Syn-ergy crystal, I was young I'd only had this body what 3 minutes when I made that choice, I'm looking into experimenting with a new name ya jerk." Her tone was easy though as he chuckled picking out a treat to try from the selection, dramatically hovering his hand above the plates twirling his finger.
"So, how do you know that other mewtwo? Didn't strike me as the type of person you'd hang out with."
Darkness took a macaron and popped it in her mouth happily enjoying the texture and flavor on her tongue with a satisfied hum before speaking with projected telepathy, "she's not, that was May she's," she paused struggling for words rolling her wrist in a few circles before uncertainly settling on, "she was my first suitable host that survived having me implanted into them, and she's the horrid creature that mutually corrupted me as I corrupted her." She made a noise, "and I suppose now in this body I'm technically her clone sibling as I had to use her genetic sequencing to create this absolute form of perfection." She gestures to herself proudly in emphasis, "I blame the unique situation of our corruption for my, difficulties now with taking over another host. Luckily this body suits me quite nicely." She shrugged casually lifting the teapot carefully with psychic energy and pouring the tea into one of the available cups, she glanced with her eyes and motioned with her head and Syn moved his cup to motion that yes he would like a cup too.
"You must be fibbing," he brought the cup to his lips to take a drink before biting into a cupcake, he continued telepathically, "she's hardly a viable host? I haven't seen her use any Psychic powers, she walks around mouth talks and carries things in her hands plus she let that Bisharp get away with bullying her, she seems too soft to survive a corruption event. And there's no way you're cloned from her, she's all small and cute looking and you're well," he gestures vaguely, "you're designer."
"Good save with that one," She chuckled "and you're telling me, I am well aware of the state of her," Darkness sighed a bit turning a cupcake between her fingers, "she's, something, she's annoying weak and placid but it took me years to wear her down enough to take over, I was implanted before she was even technically full grown or officially born. It's embarrassing to think how long she prevented me for, but I suppose admirable in a weird way. I have a bit more of an appreciation for her now that I'm, more organic, urg semantics." She bit into the cupcake aggressively with a frustrated huff at her display of emotions.
He raised a brow at her, "it took years to possess her? And what happened when you finally succeeded?" he leant his elbow on the table leaning in a bit to hear more, he was a bit surprised in all honesty wondering what that meant for the power this May had to remain herself for so long.
"When I finally was able to take control I found a strange amount of potential within her, I found when used by the right person, myself of course, she could be incredibly powerful and dangerous. She was strong and I'll admit I was shocked at how well she took hits. Though I decided partly from vainness and partly from the fact I resented her at the time that she was inadequate even with her potential and decided to find the perfect vessel which led to having to clone and make the perfect body myself. I have to do all the hard work around here." She chuckled to herself.
"I'll admit though, I do worry about what she'd be like under the effects of an unaltered synergy crystal, no ideas mister," She lazily pointed a finger at him in accusation as he put his hands up in mock surrender pondering what would happen if he extended his corruption to her.
"I can see your face thinking, it could be your funeral." Darkness shrugged idly before smiling a bit as she chuckled to herself pointing with her thumb at a different mewtwo of a red pink hue and many discoloration patterns wearing a prosthetic on one arm and using psychic energy to recreate the other to make up for not having actual arms below the elbow and higher on one arm and a more pointed tail, "it also means I'm related to that fool over there another clone not made by me, if I have to put up with them at least I get free entertainment." She laughed a bit but Syn could see a bit of softness to her as she watched the other mewtwo flirting away to some male customers.
The orange mewtwo May returned from wherever she'd gone sporting some plasters and bandages carrying trays and deliveries out to people once again. "So, that scar on her chest was-?"
"That's from me yes," Darkness casually answered before he could finish as she touched the jagged crystal growing out of her chest, "burst out of her when I finally took over, was incredibly painstaking making sure I got every piece out of her when I transfered into this form, I'm amazed I can still mega evolve with the mewtonite in such a state." She moved her tail, lifting it to show off the sharp crystal on the end like a blade, "this was all home grown however, carefully shaped and added."
"You grew synergy crystal?" Syn asked intrigued as she started to tell him about the process of successfully managing to grow and farm synergy crystal and how to encourage the crystals to grow a certain way.
Syn continued to glance over at the other customers as they discussed in lengths the process of crystal growing. He would watch the other mewtwos as well, some from many other universes arrived and he observed and mentally categorized them. Most of them looked like easy pickings, others looked like very filling meals. At some point Darkness as sneakily as possible opened a jar of gherkins, he accepted one to try in confusion to why she brought them to a sweetie café watching her bite into a cupcake and then a gherkin. He could faintly hear Pikkot in the kitchen gasp in absolute horror as though sensing someone was committing crimes against his baking as Syn could only stare in bafflement.
"Not pregnant are you, dear Darkness?" He smirked playfully in mock as he looked at her and she looked back at him, with the silence becoming just a touch deafening.
"Look-" She began before there was an incredibly loud clattering of metal trays and the scraping of a chair rapidly sliding across the floor before clattering over loudly. It distracted both the shadow Pokémon enough to look over at the drama.
The bisharp from before was stood with their table and chair thrown about and trays scattered across the floor. The red pink hued mewtwo apparently called Matt had his arms to his chest in startled protective reflex as he stood near the trouble making Pokémon.
"Look I'm gonna have to ask you to leave, that is completely unacceptable! Like look at this mess man, I'm gonna have to pick this all up!" Matt threw up his arms in an exaggerated fashion at his frustration at the mess. The Bisharp eyed Matt up as it moved slowly stalking to the side like some predator eyeing up its prey. The other customers quickly moved to be as far away as they could to be out of the danger zone.
"Woah.. Woah hey now..dont like how you're looking at me..you wouldn't attack a guy with no arms would ya?" Matt turned on his feet following the prowling Bisharp not letting it get behind him and quickly yelping as it decided to lunge with Matt promptly half throwing himself to the side out the way yelling, "NEVER MIND I GUESS YOU WOULD."
He slipped on some smooshed cake as he attempted to scramble away from the danger, Syn almost wondered if he should step in if only for the thrill of a fight. He moved to stand and felt Darkness grab his forearm with a quiet, "hold on I wanna see what happens," as he gave her a confused look wondering why she was preventing probably the only competent person from stepping in to help her supposed brother.
The Bisharp swung their arm to slash with intent to cause serious injury before it's body froze in place, a thin shimmering white outline could be seen around their body as May stepped out from the kitchen with a cold expression, her eyes completely white. Despite the psychic energy rolling off of her in waves picking up the scattered chairs and tables scooping up squished cake and generally tidying up she didn't float, her arms carefully wrapped under Matts to pull him up as he moved to very quickly duck behind his furious sister.
She looked around the restaurant scanning over to make sure that no one else was hurt and nothing else needed fixing as the Bisharp made a grunt of effort as they attempted to break free of the psychic restraint, her head snapping to look at them at the sound.
She stared at them, tail swishing up and down as the metal blade on their arm began to quietly rattle and with a crack the metal shattered and they dropped to the floor at the sudden release.
The bisharp wailed at the destruction of their blade and there was no sympathy on her face as they stumbled holding their injured arm that hung limp with the pain having more than just a damaged pride as they fled out the door. Her eyes remained aglow watching after them, undoubtedly aware that with a damaged blade the social position of that bisharp was now ruined, that they would likely lose their pack and struggle to hunt, and there was still no sympathy on her face as she blinked and her eyes returned to normal.
"Boooo you should've killed him," Darkness hollered as other customers looked at her in horror at her suggestion as she simply smirked and shrugged. May shook her head checking over her brother asking if he was hurt before sweeping up the scattered metal shards off the floor and moving to apologize to the nearby customers for the actions she just took.
"What just happened.." Syn glanced at Darkness in bewilderment but also in slight awe at the casual brutality he just witnessed.

Chapter One
You have to check these pictures.
Please let me know if you like one of them.
I saw the text under the pictures my amma had sent me. I slide up to see them again and I didn’t have enough excitement to see these boys. They all looked the same again; They were tall, dark, dressed in suits. However, deep down I didn’t feel anything. After years of waiting and rejection, I felt comfortable to be on my own.
Although, my amma doesn’t want to see me “surrender”. Not only her, most of my relatives think the same. As a woman, being alone looked like a curse to them. They thought that the blessing of a woman must be kids and become the best wife or the best mother in a family – I always thought it the other way around.
I had finished my final exams last month and the relaxation that came after felt like something I’ve never felt before. After sleepless nights that came with shortened vision and neck cramps, I finally got back my normal sleeping routine.
Still, my head felt heavy with the constant nagging from my amma about marriage and my own disappointment when it comes to a proper job employment. Sometimes I wished I could stay in bed till I figure something out.
“Good morning,”
My eyes opened at once, although I stayed in my bed. It was my roommate, Nadhini. I met her this year – She’s working as a sales executive in Colombo and she was much older than me. Around 6 am, she would wake up and get ready to go to work. Our landlord was quite suspicious about her at first since my last roommate got caught with a boy in the neighborhood. Just as usual, I thought they would say I was a slut like her. Surprisingly, most of the ladies thought it was impossible of me to do such a ‘vile thing’.
“Hey! You told me to wake you up.”
“Yes, I know.” I answered while a big yawn came out.
“By the way, I might get late.” Nadhini suggested. “You would be okay right?”
“Well, I would come around at 8 pm,” I said and stood up. “You would be later than that?”
“Kind of. I have to work till 9pm today,” Nadhini replied as she picked up her handbag to go out.
I heard her footsteps leading to the front door. As usual, the rusty door lock was unable to move due to the morning dew and I heard trying to move the latch a few times. Finally the door unlocks and I heard her footsteps becoming distant as she stepped out. Our landlord greeted her and asked about me. Nadhini didn’t reply and I remembered about this month’s rent.
* * *
I stayed with Nadhini upstairs and my landlord lived downstairs alone since the day I came here. Today, I managed to escape from the house by walking down slowly on the rusty staircase before the landlord catches me. I managed to get on the heavy loaded bus that takes to Colombo from Nugegoda. During the first few stops, all of the seats were filled. Me and all the other people who were standing up, had the chance to experience of getting crushed by the other passengers or the conductors who walked in the middle.
I hated this although now I am kind of used to it. But I never liked how people rubbed against me as they got out. Most of the times, you have to get used to it. Although it doesn’t mean that I have to get used to when men do it on purpose.
Finally, I managed to put my handbag into an empty seat before someone notices. Luckily it was near a window seat and it felt like a huge relief. I squeezed through the crowd and sat down; I tried to open the window a little, however it got stuck in the midway and left a little space for some air. This day could not get any worse than this.
* * *
“I knew you were gonna be late again.”
Mrs. Almeida caught me off guard – I still can’t believe that she’s trying accuse me again for what happened last week. I sealed my lips with a smile before I say something back to her. She didn’t return her smile since she was furiously wiping the chairs and the tables.
Then Mr. Almeida came in, with a pearly white smile as usual. I kept my sealed smile until I walked into the kitchen. The chefs were coming in and as usual, R walked right in front of me. His head was low and he was typing something on the phone. I stepped aside as I walked towards the staff room.
It wasn’t big enough to fit everything we had, however we still managed to put our belongings in the shelves that are hanging by thread. So, most of the time anything heavy would be on the floor like R’s bag filled with his clothes and other stuff. I would keep my handbag in a shelf that was hidden by the daylight, before that I would take out my phone or my purse and keep them in my pockets.
I would go back to the cash register and saw how Shanya is rustling through the remaining cash. Mrs. Almeida came up and she was pissed off. Still Shanya was swimming through the cash and counted every big note she grabbed. Then Mrs. Almeida cleared her throat and Shanya looked at us. Her stupid smirk came up yet the fear in her eyes glistened. The cash crumbled into her fist and walked past through both of us. Mrs. Almeida tried to hit her back although she missed. Then Mrs. Almeida looked at me with rage in her eyes and I immediately looked away. Not that I was scared, but I just knew I would be next to suffer Shanya’s consequences.
“Where’s Shanya?” Mr. Almeida shouted.
“Went away with all of the money we had,” Mrs. Almeida shouted him back which made my ears ring.
“What?” Mr. Almeida shouted again. Everybody could hear his guilt.
Mrs. Almeida looked around and went inside. Their voices became distorted as they continued to shout at each other. No one’s actually surprised about it – All of us knew it would happen at some point. Either because of Shanya or one of us. If it didn’t happen, R would say it’s going to rain tonight. Sometimes it happens, sometimes it won’t.
I checked the cash register and I noticed how she had taken most of the 5000 rupee notes and a couple of 1000 rupee notes. Although I wasn’t angry at her for taking the change her father had put inside. I was kind of upset how she has messed up the combination I had arranged in this register. I replaced the notes in an ascending order and kept the bigger notes under the coin section.
Right then my phone rings and without a look, I answered the phone.
“Hello!” It was my amma.
“Hello.” I said.
“Are you at work?” amma asked.
“Yes, I am,” I tried not to sound irritated. “What’s the matter?”
“Oh, are you free this weekend?” Amma answered me with a question.
“Not really.” I answered her. “Why?”
“Ah, I just wondered if you could come and meet this nice boy, I found for you.”
“Okay, why don’t go on a date with him?”
“Chi, are you mad?” Amma got irritated with my question. “You are the one who’s single, not me!”
“Well, I am a bachelor and you are a kind of a widow. Sounds right to me.”
“Oh please! I am too old for that. You are the one who should get married.”
“I don’t wanna get married, amma- “
I turned around to see R, who was standing two feet away from me. He immediately looked away and walked inside to the kitchen. R never acted like this before – it all started when Mr. Almeida made a weird joke about setting me up with him if I won’t find a decent guy to marry. At that time, I honestly didn’t want to talk back to him. Because I know for sure that they would just use that to crucify my destiny of becoming a crazy spinster.
Sometimes I wondered about it – I thought myself being lonely in my old age. It would probably feel the same way as I am feeling right now. It might feel wonderful and have some peace since I won’t have that much baggage around me. But I remembered the old folks who’d come here alone. The way they move or they eat became some kind of a mirror to look into my possible future.
“Oh, getting old and being alone is one hell of a curse.”
The way Mrs. Almeida’s sighs and complains made my heart shiver.
Will my loneliness become the price for my independence?
* * *
That one thought managed to spoil my whole day. I was dragging my feet and my chin was low the whole time. The only time I raised my head was to look at the clock. At some point R asked me If I was tired. I just smiled at him and held my words. I despised everything that was around me – the guests, the food and especially the time. I couldn’t even remember if I had any lunch.
To make everything worse, I got late to the bus and had to wait for at least 45 minutes. To pass the time, I kept thinking about how I would get a chance to sit. Unfortunately, I had to stand with others who were squeezed into the bus and slide through the people to get out at my stop.
Finally I have a fresh breath of air and I checked the time. It was 8pm. The heaviness was still in me and I couldn’t wait till I see my bed. The landlord was near her balcony and I saw her. She looked suspicious at first, but then she smiled at me. I tried my best to give her smile.
When I went inside, my bed was still in the same way as I left. My towel was on it and I thought I had put it in the cloth rack to dry. I just fell on my bed and now I didn’t want to move. I know for sure my amma would yell at me for doing this. But I was alone and I can just sleep right now.
Although the silence that came within killed me. Do people pity me for being lonely? Will they despise me when I grow old?
All I can say is that, half of those people are miserable because of their marriage life. They just hate anyone who’s free – they may think we stole it from them. Even when I think about the people who suffer because of their own children or their own spouse, I pray not to have a life like them.
Who needs company when you can enjoy yourself?

Exploring the benefits of hiring a professional moving company
Movement from one place to the other, be it a new town or city, is an event that is big in everyone's life. It encompasses excitement, stress, and an endless to-do list. Packaging everything in your life and moving it to a new location is no easy task, and the complications that come with it make the whole act of moving very overwhelming. Therefore, get in touch with a professional moving and packing service near me. Hiring a professional moving company in Seattle Washington relieves most of the stress and offers several benefits that ensure a smooth, good transition. Here are the key advantages of hiring a professional moving company in Bellevue Washington to handle your move.
1. Saves Time and Energy
Hiring a professional moving company in Seattle Washington often saves ample time and energy. Moving is an exercise that requires many man-hours that start with packing and do not forget loading, transporting, unloading, and unpacking. Professionals are trained to execute these functions efficiently, often completing them quicker than it would take someone new to a place to accomplish them on their own. Hiring movers frees up time to do other things as part of a move, like organizing, finalizing paperwork, and getting settled in your new location.
2. Professional Packing Services
Packing probably ranks atop the list of tedious and painful activities associated with moving. Expert moving companies have packing services that ensure your possessions are packed safely and effectively while still reducing the possibility of their getting damaged when in transit. They make use of top-quality packing materials including bubble wraps, solid containers, and specific techniques to pack delicate items like glassware, electronics, and artwork. Professional packers know exactly how to pack things to maximize space. This could save you on the total cost of the move, perhaps because you're doing fewer trips or have a smaller truck for the move.
3. Insurance and Liability
Whenever you contract a professional moving company in Seattle Washington, your goods are covered in transit. This is perhaps one of the most important advantages wherein peace of mind is guaranteed at a time when your goods are more vulnerable. Generally, most professional moving companies provide different insurance options so that you can choose the coverage level that suits your needs. Be it any high-value or semi-precious piece, having a professional insurance scheme in place gives a lot of relief for such precious items.
4. Effortless and Reliable
Professional moving company in Bellevue Washington carries a whole level of reliability and efficiency in the moving process that you can hardly achieve on your own. They are highly trained for heavy and awkwardly shaped items, like pianos and large furniture or home appliances. They might be quite effective in their loading and unloading skills so that the goods are transported safely without any type of accidents or injuries to the people involved.
5. Reduces Stress
Of course, the major reason to hire a professional moving company is to reduce stress. Moving will be an emotional and mentally exhausting event, especially in case you're moving far away or have a lot of stuff to pack. The physical nature of lifting heavy boxes coupled with the mental pressure of organizing logistics can easily get overwhelming.
6. Cost-Effectiveness
While most assume hiring a moving company in Bellevue Washington is more expensive than the DIY route, it may ultimately pay off in terms of costs. With a DIY move, there are always additional costs not factored in, such as rent for moving trucks, purchase of packing materials, and loss of work time to pack and move. And then there's the possibility of damaging your belongings or yourself in the process; you can't get away with just the repair costs or medical expenses.
The Bottom Line
Whether you are moving across the street or not, investment in a professional moving company becomes a decision that will make a difference in your relocation process. Therefore, when you are searching for the right moving and packing service near me, get in touch with Team Worx Moving. Team Worx Moving will make sure to get you the best services. It will be the best investment so far!

cloud kitchen near me
Cloud Kitchen
Welcome to the cloud kitchen - the era of cloud kitchens! With changing times and evolving customer preferences, traditional brick-and-mortar restaurants are now making way for a more innovative and efficient solution. Enter cloud kitchens. If you're passionate about food and dreaming of starting your own culinary venture, then this blog post is just for you. In this article, we will delve into what exactly a cloud kitchen is, how to get started with one, and explore the numerous benefits it offers. So grab your apron and let's dive into the world of kitchen clouds!
How to start Cloud Kitchen
Starting a cloud kitchen may seem like an overwhelming task, but with the right planning and execution, you can turn your culinary dreams into a successful reality. Here are some key steps to get you started on your cloud kitchen journey.
Conduct thorough market research to identify the demand for specific cuisines in your target area. This will help you determine what kind of food offerings would be most popular and profitable.
Next, select a strategic location for setting up your cloud kitchen. Consider factors such as proximity to densely populated areas, ease of delivery access, and affordable rental costs.
Once you have finalized the location, it's time to equip your kitchen with all the necessary appliances and utensils. Invest in high-quality cooking equipment that suits the type of cuisine you plan to offer.
Now comes the fun part - developing a tempting menu! Make sure to create dishes that cater to various dietary preferences and include both signature items and trendy options that will attract customers.
To ensure efficient operations, invest in reliable online ordering platforms or partner with third-party delivery services. Establishing strong relationships with these platforms is crucial for reaching a wider customer base.
Don't forget about marketing! Utilize social media platforms, local directories, and other promotional strategies to spread awareness about your cloud kitchen's unique offerings. Engage with customers through enticing visuals and interactive content to build brand loyalty.
Remember that starting a cloud kitchen requires dedication and hard work but offers immense potential for success in today's digital age. So take these steps as your roadmap towards launching an innovative culinary venture that satisfies appetites from afar!
Benefits of cloud kitchen
The rise of cloud kitchens, also known as ghost kitchens or virtual restaurants, has revolutionized the food industry. These innovative establishments operate solely through online platforms and delivery services, eliminating the need for a traditional brick-and-mortar location. This model offers numerous benefits for both aspiring restaurateurs and customers alike.
One major advantage of cloud kitchens is their cost-effectiveness. By cutting out expenses associated with physical storefronts such as rent and utilities, entrepreneurs can significantly reduce their overhead costs. This allows them to allocate more resources towards improving the quality of their food and enhancing customer experience.
Operating a cloud kitchen provides greater flexibility in terms of location. Entrepreneurs are no longer limited by geographical constraints when choosing where to establish their business. They can set up shops in areas with high demand but limited restaurant options or even target specific niche markets that may not be viable for traditional restaurants.
Furthermore, the digital nature of cloud kitchens enables owners to gather valuable data on customer preferences and behaviors. With this information at hand, they can make data-driven decisions regarding menu offerings, marketing strategies, and pricing optimizations to better cater to their target audience's needs.
For consumers, cloud kitchens bring convenience right to their doorstep. In today's fast-paced world where time is precious commodity people crave efficient solutions like quick meal deliveries without compromising taste or quality.
There are many advantages offered by cloud kitchens – from lower operational costs to increased flexibility in location selection- making it an appealing option for anyone looking to enter the food industry or order delicious meals conveniently at home!
Conclusion
In the fast-paced world, we live in today, cloud kitchens have emerged as a game-changer for the food industry. The concept of starting a cloud kitchen has gained immense popularity due to its numerous benefits and convenience. From cost savings to increased efficiency, there are several reasons why entrepreneurs are opting for this innovative approach.
One of the key advantages of running a cloud kitchen is the reduced overhead costs. With no need for a physical dining space or front-of-house staff, expenses such as rent, utilities, and additional personnel can be significantly minimized. This allows you to allocate more resources towards improving your menu offerings and enhancing customer experience.
Another benefit is the flexibility that comes with operating a cloud kitchen. You can easily adapt your menu based on market trends and customer preferences without having to make major changes to your physical infrastructure. This agility enables you to stay ahead of competitors and cater to evolving consumer demands.
The location independence provided by cloud kitchens is also worth mentioning. As long as you have access to reliable delivery services, you can establish your cloud kitchen anywhere – even in areas where setting up traditional restaurants may not be feasible or financially viable.
Additionally, technology plays an integral role in streamlining operations within cloud kitchens. From automated order management systems to online platforms that facilitate seamless communication with customers, these technological advancements enhance efficiency and help deliver orders promptly.
To thrive in this competitive industry, it's crucial for aspiring entrepreneurs to understand how cloud kitchens work and leverage their advantages effectively. By embracing innovation, staying updated on market trends, and investing in quality ingredients and excellent customer service, success becomes attainable within this dynamic business model.
So if you're considering venturing into the food industry but don't want the high costs associated with traditional brick-and-mortar restaurants or franchises – look no further than starting your own cloud kitchen! Embrace this modern approach that offers flexibility, cost savings, and endless opportunities for growth.

The name Kim Mingyu didn’t ring a bell before. Not until his executive assistant reached out to you because apparently, the photographer slash writer read one of your blog posts and wanted you to take part for their sixth year anniversary issue. You know the famous magazine and publishing company, which is why you thought it was a scam or a ploy to steal your money. It’s a stupid assumption but you can’t blame your mind imagining the worse because you are not a fashion blogger at all. Why would a fashion magazine want you to write an article for them?
Sure, you regularly write and post blog entries on your website. But you write about your dog, your recently bought tea coaster and sometimes your skincare routine. Okay, maybe your occasional outfit of the day as well but nothing in detail. Again, why do they want you to write for them?
Kim Mingyu answered your questions and uncertainties when he personally emailed his contact details to you. You didn’t have to bite, but it didn’t hurt to confirm at the same time. You dialed the number and he indeed proved you wrong. He invited you for a meeting at his office and you accepted.
Your visits to high-rise buildings, much more to the luxurious office of an executive, is rare to never. You were jaw slacked when your eyes took in the crisp architecture. The design, the furniture, the color, the everything was beyond what you could have imagined a publishing company’s headquarters could be.
The meeting was nothing but short of an interview. He asked about your blog (which does not even have its own domain by the way), he asked what else you write about, he asked about your desk job (which doesn’t pay much but enough for you to get by), he asked if you have any background about fashion and one last question about your dog, Max, before talking about his proposal.
To be honest, Mingyu’s offer was tempting. For one article, the commission would be enough for you to move out of your current apartment and move to a brand new and fully-furnished one. But you remained true to yourself and without thinking twice, you declined.
You can tell that the editor-in-chief and his assistant, who stood beside him all throughout, was surprised by the looks on their faces. But Mingyu respected your decision and didn’t pursue any further. You took your stand from the chair and sincerely thanked him for the time and opportunity. You thought that would be it but when he followed suit with your actions and reached his hand out, it was your turn to be surprised.
You didn’t hesitate to mirror him and shake his hand, firmly. After that, you’d figure that it’s the end and that you’ll probably get to see a glimpse of him only through your television or phone. But Mingyu proved you wrong once again when he sent an unexpected email three days later asking why.
What might be the reason why you didn’t accept his offer?
You believed he deserved an explanation of your personal reasons so you disclosed them. And just like that the conversation on that email thread naturally progressed and eventually deepened. The professional emails became casual text messages, the text messages became phone calls, and the phone calls became actual face to face dates at late hours of the evening because he usually clocks out at 9 o’clock.
The rest, as they say, was in the hands of history.
Your first date with Mingyu was particularly odd. It was at a traditional Korean restaurant owned by one of his friends who introduced himself as Angel even though his real name is Jeonghan. You didn’t question him or anyone else why because that’s none of your business. But back to the date. It was odd because you have never been to a restaurant that’s completely empty and dead silent before (aside of course, from the typical music played in the background). You asked Mingyu if such an occurrence is normal and he just plainly answered that he rented the whole place all to yourselves. You have always known he’s rich. However, you didn’t believe that booking the whole restaurant was necessary.
Nonetheless, that first date, in some way, was special for you because there were no distractions. You enjoyed his company and you can tell he enjoyed yours too because he’s quick to mention a second date and it didn’t take a heartbeat for you to say yes.
But, by far, Mingyu inviting you to the behind the scenes of the making of the sixth anniversary issue that you turned down writing for is one of the most memorable dates the two of you had. It was out of the blue and you two were having difficulty in syncing your schedules. He was beginning to get busier and busier as the anniversary neared and the only way he could think of still making time for you is inviting you to his office. He called you and asked if you’re free to have lunch together. And you, being attracted to the handsome and tall man, didn’t hesitate to say yes.
He was in the middle of ending his morning meeting when you arrived and you were almost caught off-guard when all eyes were suddenly on you, making you feel small. But Mingyu didn't care as his smile beamed, immediately standing up from his chair to walk towards you. The rest of his staff were still in the midst of walking out of his office when he grasped your hand to pull you inside and you have never felt so shy your whole life.
Since then, he made you tag along to the creative process and you witnessed how hands on he was with every article, every photo, every brand, every trend and every detail that goes to the magazine that he has built and loved with his blood, sweat and tears. He’s beyond dedicated in finding and doing what’s best for the magazine and most importantly, its loyal readers.
You can tell that he really is deserving of everything that he has and is still receiving.
Mingyu being perfect also applies to your relationship. He’s always present despite being booked with fittings, meetings, photoshoots and business travels twenty-nine days of the month. He never fails to call, never fails to answer your calls. He never fails to offer the warmest hugs and the softest kisses. Well, he fails to be on time during your dates sometimes but he never once stood you up and his cuddles when he sleeps over are enough to apologize for the lost time.
The only flaw he has is that he doesn’t know how to take no for an answer. Most especially at times where he wants to shower his love in ways that cost more than your paycheck in a year.
Here are some examples:
You know that Mingyu pays attention to every word you say. Even if you just mentioned a passing topic, he will do his best to keep those in mind. With that being said, you mentioned once that you want to renovate the extra bedroom of your apartment and turn it into a study where you could work someday. Your boyfriend, being the rich man he is, offered to hire and pay a team that could help you bring the design you envisioned into life.
That was during the first few months of your relationship and you were flabbergasted by how easy it was for him to do or much less say. Needless to say, you immediately turned him down and he respected that (but of course, he pouted about it like a child all throughout the day).
But wait, there’s more.
Do you remember how you mentioned that Mingyu travels frequently? Yes? Well, Mingyu always books an extra ticket for you just in case you want to join him. Sometimes it’s not even about the flight ticket anymore. It’s about him stopping by your apartment to pick you up unexpectedly as if France is only a drive away.
It’s unbelievable, really. That’s why you always close the door on his face. But of course, you don’t forget to give him a long kiss and “stay safe” or “I’ll miss you” farewell. Mingyu, ever the good boy he is, lets you win and just return your kisses a little longer for the days he won’t be able to do so.
Mingyu’s intentions are pure and you’re well aware that the man that you love is only doing this because it’s simple, he loves you. He wants what’s best for you, he wants to give you what you deserve. You can never blame him for being out of touch from reality at times, but you can learn and grow with him. Although of course, he still needs a scolding and a wake up call every now and then.
Anything else? Yes.
You didn’t take into consideration that he’d remember, but one night while the two of you were about to fall asleep, you sleepily mumbled about your dreams of attending graduate school. It was a mere whisper in the late night against his chest and you even thought that he wouldn’t hear you at all because his eyes were already closed. You honestly didn’t expect that he’d send you brochures of different universities who offer various programs the following day. You had to calm him down as he excitedly talked you through it. You even had to shut him up with your lips and explain that you don’t have the time to study at the moment with your current job. He tried to encourage you with praises and admiration of your dedication, skills and knowledge. But no, you didn’t buy it and that’s the end of discussion.
The gifts, however, are something that Mingyu is not giving up on. The first few instances he gave you gifts whether it be a high-end handbag, shoes, clothing, and even jewelry, you allowed him. Because there were only a few. But along the way, the gifts got bigger and more frequent. You had to sit him down to set limitations. It was a long conversation of him trying to get the upper hand. But you didn’t let him outsmart you with his hugs and kisses. It was either he was going to tone it down with the gifts or no gifts at all.
Sometimes, as much as you hate to admit it to yourself, you can’t avoid getting insecure and afraid that the euphoric time you share with Mingyu is not meant to last. At some point, the fact that he's one of the youngest successful editor-in-chiefs of a multi-million earning magazine got overwhelming. You can’t help but feel that you’re no match for him. And again, you hate that your mind gets clouded with ideas that you’re just a charity case he enjoys spending his money on. Of course, you believe that he doesn’t look at you in that way.
It’s you who thinks so.
“Hey.”
You release the bite on your bottom lip at the sound of your boyfriend’s voice. Your lost eyes shoot to the stove where he’s cooking and you notice that he’s about done so you should set the table.
You didn’t even answer Mingyu’s call which concerns him. He wipes the sauce off his hands on the apron he’s wearing and holds your waist before you could even round the corner to the cabinets.
His warmth snaps you out of your thoughts. Your eyes blink up to him and he just raises his eyebrows at you.
“Is there something wrong?” He asks and lowers the heat of the conduction.
“Nothing, nothing,” you lie, shaking your head, “Let me get the plates. I’m quite hungry.”
You try escaping his strong arms and gaze, but he doesn’t let you go. Instead, he wraps his arms around your waist tighter. Your palms automatically land on his chest and the lean muscles make you gulp.
“I’m going to ask again and this time, I want you to tell me the truth,” he says in a serious yet gentle tone. “What’s wrong?”
You sigh and lean your forehead against his chest. Mingyu also sighs and kisses the top of your head. It’s better to tell him now because you’re not going to get anywhere if you’re just going to keep it to yourself. It will be unfair for him too and that’s not what you want.
“I just don’t feel so good about myself over the past few days,” you finally voice out. You sound weak, but Mingyu can hear you loud and clear. “I feel like I don’t deserve you.”
Mingyu had to pull away and hold your shoulders to search your eyes, his frown showing disbelief and sadness both at the same time. “Did I do or say something to make you feel this way?”
“No, no,” you quickly say and hold his cheeks. “You did absolutely nothing. It’s just all in my head.”
Mingyu becomes silent and you wish you could just drop it because the regret and embarrassment is slowly dawning upon you. You wish you didn’t bring it up anymore because why would you burden him with your problems?
But Mingyu proves you wrong once again by holding your hand and carefully tugging you to sit on the dining table, saying softly, “Come on. Let’s talk about it.”
And talk you did. You let out your concerns, worries, fears and insecurities. You bore it all without hiding or masking anything. A tear or two slipped once or twice and some words were interrupted by your hiccups, but Mingyu was patient. He listened and held your hand, promising you that it’s okay. It’s okay to cry. It’s okay to be scared. It’s okay to be worried. It’s okay to be vulnerable in front of him. It’s okay to trust him because he loves you.
Mingyu loves you and his words and actions assure you that it’s okay to love him too.
When there were no more words left to say, the two of you shared a comfortable silence. The weight on your shoulders and the sick feeling in your stomach immediately vanished and you have never felt so relieved. You have never felt so free and loved. You can’t believe that Kim Mingyu is real.
“I know that this is unwarranted,” Mingyu breaks the silence after a while, “but I want you to know that I don’t think of you in any of those ways. To me, you’re the person I love and I am happy with regardless of our different upbringings, different jobs. Those don’t matter to the time and love we share together.”
“I know,” you affirm and kiss his cheek.
Mingyu nods and smiles against the palm of your hand when a memory suddenly pops in his mind. “I’m not sure if I have told you this already. But the blog entry of yours that caught my attention is about your first ever blog post.”
Your eyes widen at his confession. You have never heard of this before. “You mean the one where I talked about why I love writing so much?”
Your boyfriend smiles and nods. “That one.”
“Gosh. That’s so embarrassing,” you groan and palm your face.
“What do you mean embarrassing?” He argues, taking your hand to hold again. “That post was one of the most genuine posts that I have ever read. You explained, word by word, your passion, love and dedication to writing in the most honest way possible. Who wouldn’t be moved?”
You pout and unbeknownst to you, that makes his heart squeeze in adoration.
“It’s not that special,” you mumble, eyes on your intertwined hands.
“It is to me though.”
Mingyu’s eyes are dreamy and glossy as you meet them again and you could never be more in love. He holds your arms, coaxing you to stand up to straddle his lap. You giggle when he protectively wraps his arms around your waist. His nose scrunches when it grazes yours, but upon meeting his lips you feel it exhale a breath of relief.
You kissed and kissed and kissed. But when Max barks at the two of you, reminding you of the dinner you’re supposed to eat and share with him, the two of you burst into laughter before reluctantly detaching from each other.
“You doting over me with material things is a perk,” you humor him and he gives you his signature giggle. “But, I wouldn’t trade sharing the same bed, cooking meals or taking care of Max together over any of those.”
Mingyu nods gives you one last yet long kiss, a promise that there’s more for later.
More for forever.
