//Helloo~ You may have noticed that I’ve been pretty absent over the past few days. I’ve not really been feeling much up to writing, but I have slowly been working on those AU drabbles on a google doc. But for the next WEEK I will be away on holiday! We may or may not have internet at the cottage we’re staying in, so, see you, or not. But I will queue this! See u soon guys, hopefully a bit more invigorated!

//b/c I don’t think I say it enough, I wanna clarify that despite his 5′11″ being pretty average, compared to the Slav side of his family, Ted is a literal runt. He’s super small, especially next to his dad. It might be fun to do one with his Japanese family, and his super smol mom. And a Fred one. All of the ones.

10. What energizes and drains them most?

//Would it be painfully obvious to say that coffee energises Ted? Not to mention cliche? It is technically true, on a physical level, considering he works himself to the point of exhaustion, but he doesn’t need his coffee for motivation. In a world in which coffee didn’t exist, Ted would get up just the same and work hard, only he’d end up passed out on his desk much, much quicker. What really energises him is a mixture of ambition and spite. He genuinely loves what he does (science, bio engineering etc) and even when he’s not doing that in particular, its all leading to his ultimate goal! He’s determined to prove that he’s better than everyone else is at what he does and pours every bit of energy he has into doing so. The spite is to prove everyone else WRONG. Everyone. As for draining him... well, his real bad temper tantrums usually end up with him too numb to function afterwards. Long periods spent doing things he really doesn’t want to do (hint: physical labour is high up) tire him out until he’s had a nap or some leisure time in front of a video game. Not a lot in his current life drains him too much.

Fred on the other hand is fairly easily drained. Hard day at work? Tired. Boring, uninteresting work? Tired. Overly mentally challenging work? Tired. Had an argument today? Tired. Got on well with everyone and laughed lots? You got it, he’s still tired (although this time it’s a good happy tired!). His emotions probably have to be the biggest source of exhaustion to him though. When he has a lot plaguing his mind, he shuts down and spends a lot of time just laying around- not sleeping, just laying about. It’s hard to truly energise him, but he’s excited by the prospect of walkies with his puppies, lunch, and on occasion, self betterment. He also really gets worked up when he’s in a situation where he has to help others he truly cares for. Nothing motivates him like a situation where he has to play the hero-- not in such a way that being the hero is the reward, but in the way that he is threatened by such a horrible loss, that the loss is worse than the danger otherwise faced, if that makes sense? He’s not the sort to jump in front of a car to save some rando kid, but if you hurt his friends, and he can help, he’ll step the heck up >:U
