Vocalist Sukuna is known exclusively for being the unclean vocalist in his band; but when he oh-so-rarely switches it up by doing clean vocals instead? Everyone collectively loses their goddamn mind.

And you’d never guess it from watching the massive man on stage, growling and barking and snarling into the microphone like rent is due, but he’s incredibly shy about singing normally. Not once has there been a studio version of him singing like that, even with the fans begging constantly for it. The rumors have sent them into a tailspin. They swear that just a mere morsel - the ittiest-bittiest teeniest-tiniest crumb - in the form of a YouTube short, a five second moment on a live stream, just a n y t h i n g at all, would placate them.

You just have to hope you get lucky enough at a show. It’s only when the other members (along with the deafening cheers of the crowd) hype him up enough that he decides to do it.

His choice of song though. Oh, his choice of song. One of his favorite bands of all time is Sleep Token, so more often than not, it’s a Sleep Token cover to make him more comfortable. No one’s mad about it though. It somehow just fits him.

But the experience is unlike any other. All goes quiet during those covers. The other members like to joke with each other that Clean Vocals Sukuna is like some big, burly Jesus, calming the sea of jostling, screaming fans with just the sound of his voice.

And while Sukuna is lost in his own little world, singing with his eyes closed for most of it because of his nerves, the audience is so mesmerized by him that when it’s over, they’ve found they’ve completely forgotten to record it.
