whether or not joel was right is quite literally a ten year old debate.

he was btw. ik it’s hard to come to that conclusion when all nuance has been stripped from the story and spoon fed back with training wheels for surface level moral character analysis.

#personal #anyways no more clown takes on my dash #if it makes you happy Joel and the fireflies can both be wrong #but as far as Ellie’s agency goes Joel was right #show was Fine. unnecessary but could have been worse as far as video game adaptations go #a lot of bad changes that set up a sequel I can’t help but feel like will be adapted 1:1 #just given. how much was changed in s1 (to the detriment of the story I might add) to make it make sense #very heavy handed / black & white writing #I know the source material is unattainable but nuance is still possible to achieve at least a Little Bit if you try #anyways this is the last I have to say about the show any tlou posting going forward is game/comic related Only #except the casting / sets / costume / makeup were all perfect.
