Thinking about werewolf king loki againnnnn
#consider. the stress of ruling asgard has broken lokis body. he needs a cane to walk around. you know how it is with joint pain#instead of planning his line of succession like a normal person loki turns to a cult promising a return to youth#turns out the 'youth' is turning into a giant beast every full moon. with the promise that one day youll have control over it#it also requires the skin on your back to be flayed during your first transformation and turned into a cloak#you know. so everyones matching. cult stuff <3#loki does not realise this until it's too late to back out and goes through with it anyway#obviously the first time is harrowing and maybe the worst night of lokis life#but once his backs healed and he actually tries leaning into the transformation he finds it to be a new found freedom from his decaying body#and it becomes the one thing he looks forward to every month#except oopsie he let the werewolf cult he joined get too close to throne and now they have demands#and loki cannot fulfil them without plunging the kingdom into chaos and possibly revolting against him#also thor is there. he's just around. he abdicated the throne to become a gladiator full time#maybe lokis fine letting a bunch of werewolves pillage the towns for fun but when they ask to turn thor thats when loki turns on them
