Chapter Five
Read from the beginning
Also on Wattpad
Chapter Four < Chapter Six
The birds chirped along as they fluttered from branch to branch. But the day greeted the Gupta mansion with much less peace that morning.
Khushi bit into her toast, as Sumi poured juice into her glass.
“Shashi! I am getting nervous. Will Mr Raizada say something now?”
Her papa shook his head, his forehead scrunched in a frown.
“Rajiv has hinted at nothing. Even Shyam has not come up in our talks. I don’t know what to expect, Garima.”
“It would have been a milestone for us” she sighed, “ But what can we do except wait”
“Khushi, have some fruits,” Shashi said as he passed her a bowl.
————
Her thoughts were clouded with worry for her parents as she walked into Venus Designs.
She had never seen them so unsure, so worried. And she had never felt as helpless as she had today.
“Morning Leela”, she smiled at the receptionist.
“Khushi, some big client has come here asking for you!” Leela whispered.
“Me?!” She gasped.
“Yes! They are with Madhumati ma’am right now. You better go in. She told me to usher you into her office as soon as you came!”
And so Khushi found herself half-pushed inside her aunt’s magnanimous office.
“Good morning Khushi!”
She couldn’t believe her eyes. Madhumati bua was laughing! Her usually stern eyes were now soft as she looked fondly at the two men.
She looked at the well suited gentlemen, and wondered which of her previous works could have impressed them.
The men stood up.
She found herself stunned as the smirking visage of Arnav Singh Raizada greeted her.
“Meet Arnav and Aman! They are from the Raizada group of companies. Arnav wants his new office to be designed by you.” Her aunt continued jovially.
But her eyes couldn’t leave the devil’s, who had come to extract his pound of flesh!
“ But I-I have never designed professional spaces before.”
“I did mention that to Arnav, but he said he wanted his office to have a bit of domestic touch. Now, now go on. You have to work from the site.”
Rummaging through her mind to look for an excuse , Khushi looked at her aunt trying to signal her to refuse on her behalf.
“I’ll take Khushi with me Mrs. Madhumati. After all, I need the job done by next week.”
She watched as he put on the best buttering act with her aunt. All sweet smiles and flattery.
“Hi, I’m Aman Mathur, ASR’s right hand man.”
The young man ,she hadn’t paid much attention to , shook her hand, offering her a glimmer of hope.
At least, someone is kind here.
“I think you’ll have a great time working with Arnav. He’s as clear and concise in his demands as it gets.”
“Yeah” she grumbled “Hitler pales in front of him”
Aman raised his eyebrows in amusement .
“ He is demanding, but not a dictator”
“Aman.”Arnav had already reached the door.
“Let’s get going, shall we?”
————
And that’s how Khushi Gupta found herself in a Bentley, heading towards the heart of the city.
“Why are you doing this?”
She couldn’t keep quiet anymore.
“I wanted to spend time with you “
Blushing pink, Khushi marvelled at this man’s shamelessness.
“I forgave you already-“
“That’s not enough for me”
Exasperated, she ignored him for the rest of the ride.
—————
Slouching over the desk Aman had provided her, Khushi scribbled into her notebook.
Designs, light source ideas, decor pieces and vendors all in one place.
With that out of the way,she began sketching.
Her pencil flew across the page, as she thought of the space where he would work.
The desk where his coffee machine would stay. The few photographs he took, that he wanted on the wall. The antique telephone he had bought from Paris.
“I have never seen a better portrait of me”
She jumped and twisted her neck, as Arnav grabbed her book from her in a split second.
Grinning, he squinted, pretending to judge her sketch of him.
“I must say Miss Gupta, you have observed me quite closely”
“Shut up! I was just sketching the office “
“And got distracted? Well since I am to be blamed for the distraction , it will only be fair of me to buy you lunch!”
He bent down and grabbed her purse, meeting her petulant face with a wink.
“Shall we?”
—————-
“And there he was, telling me to run for the damn election!”
She giggled as Arnav finished his story. She hadn’t expected to have a fun time with him. So far she had only experienced mad rage and mad lust for the man. And that had to say something!
“You left the states to come back here?”
“I wasn’t really sure about where I wanted to live. And dad really wanted to come back. After mom’s death-” he blinked.
“Are you okay?” Her hand found his.
“Yeah” he held her hand tighter “He took years to move on. The last time we were here was for Di’s wedding”
Khushi swallowed as she realised the topic was now down to his brother-in-law, Shyam. Can she ask him about the deal her parents were after?
“My papa really likes your father. Um…he invited him to brunch…”
“I know Khushi, I was there” he smiled in amusement at her sudden fluster.
“Yes, well they were wondering if Mr.Raizada had made up his mind about the deal.”
Gasping inwardly, she hated herself at that moment for blurting it out.
She wanted to seal her big mouth forever.
Understanding that anything she said now will only push her further down the hole she had dug, Khushi held her silence.
To her dismay, even Arnav stayed quiet. No jokes, no witty remarks to erase her folly.
“Well, Khushi I can’t say much about that”
She nodded meekly.
“Let’s head back, shall we?”
And that’s how Aman found them in the office that afternoon. One deep in thought, and one mortified.

Hello Jalebi!
I’m sorry I called you Jalebi I don’t know your good name.
Wonderful blog jalebi(lol I’ll still call you jalebi 😋)
I love all your answers to the questions. The effort you put into answering must be very difficult at times. Really! Hats off to your dedication.
Hope you’re doing good and staying hydrated (coz of the hot summers).
I have a question to you.
Everyone knows Barun Sobti was offered for movie while being cast to Iss pyaar ko and he had to take a break from iss pyaar ko to finish his movie shooting.
Hadn’t he had got that movie offer and was continuing with IPK for that period. What would have been the storyline for those months for the time he was not available for IPK.
They had to deliberately get the Khushi suicide track which was very very absurd and stupid. And then the kidnap track.
It made sense until the Heer Ranjha episodes then again it went to bua ji house staying track. How would have they guided the storyline otherwise.
Was there any track which was decided and knew but later on scrapped up because of barun’s movie?
I would have definitely had interest to watch a high intensity redemption track.
Do tell me what would you do if you had chance to guide the storyline for those kidnap tracks replacement. And even if he was on break and not available any better ideas to change the storyline except the kidnap?
Thank you!
Hey Anon,
You're very generous with your praise <3
Now coming to your question;
I do not know. The storyline was not going anywhere with him on sets anyway.
They had to deliberately get the Khushi suicide track which was very very absurd and stupid. And then the kidnap track.
The suicide track was the most stupid way to get the misunderstanding out. Kidnapping, IMO, was a great track for me.
It made sense until the Heer Ranjha episodes then again it went to bua ji house staying track. How would have they guided the storyline otherwise.
I am glad you found sense :) I couldn't find any sense as they kept on building character and plot point, then chickening out from taking any point further and resetting everything so as to they can maintain the status quo of him hurt -> she hurt -> she doing something stupid -> he says something worse -> some rabba ves -> some more comedy -> intense -> back to square one of both hurt and terrible comedy.
Was there any track which was decided and knew but later on scrapped up because of barun’s movie?
When they had all of Barun's dates - they were doing Swami, play acting, AAJ MAUSAM HAI SUHANA, Dabba service, ANNOY HIM AT LAKSHMINAGAR...
I have no idea what they had in mind to be really honest.
Do tell me what would you do if you had chance to guide the storyline for those kidnap tracks replacement. And even if he was on break and not available any better ideas to change the storyline except the kidnap?
Kidnapping track, again, was great. I would have just made it all sensible.
The audience and Khushi learns very early that Shyam is involved in Arnav's 'trip to London'
Reveal why Khushi can't go to police - perhaps the Senior Inspector is a really close friend of Shyam or owes a favor to Shyam due to some corrupted case.
Reveal why Khushi can't go to the rest of the family - she goes to Akash and Akash thinks the best person to deal with this is Shyam and thus Khushi's plan backfire.
DO NOT PUT ANY SILLY MANORAMA BOND.
Have a far more intelligent cat and mouse game between Shyam and Khushi. And have Khushi lament her decision to not tell the people the truth of Shyam.
Any shot with Barun, would have Arnav trying to work out why he is kidnapped. Who could have kidnapped him. I didn't need him supporting Khushi without evidence - he has intellect enough to deduce that the only man who would/could kidnap him is Shyam.
Have Arnav work his head through mental monologues. Like maybe there's a small television playing in the warehouse and Arnav is surprised that there's no news of him. Who could keep his disappearance up so well? Unless it's someone close to him. Who would want to keep him alive with no ransom demand. Unless, of course it's someone close to him. And who close to him has an agenda? Shyam...
And thus, with Arnav alone - instead of having him just Rabba Ve and have dream sequences I'd put another mental monologue of him trying to see Khushi's role in everything and having that moment of realization when Khushi comes through to save him. That damn it, of course he misunderstood Khushi.
And in the little phase when Khushi and he can run away, they both talk about how Shyam came into her life, how to get out of this situation, whom to contact, whom not to contact. Maybe Arnav wants to apologize, maybe Khushi stops him. Anything outside of getting out of this mess would be discussed later because they do have a later.
If Barun did not have to leave then I would have continued on the poignant moment of Khushi realizing Arnav slept holding her hand and that Khushi could not have enough - the push and pull between extreme love and hatred could have worn down her mind and she could have tried to finally beg and yell to know the reason of the marriage.
That's all of my thought regarding this :)
Best,
Anon

To Sir, With Love Episode 2: This Chinese opera performance is not just gay, it's also political!
Yang perfectly executes a market fight, and also establishes that he's still the nicest person ever. The city has Japanese soldiers because of the war, which really narrows down the timeframe, it's definitely 1943. Now we know the year, if only they gave us literally any information about the characters' age.
The scenes with Bua and the boys are the cutest, the three of them should just run away together and live happily ever after, but Tian actually cares about the business so I guess they're stuck.
Li wonders if Tian is the way he is because of her own karma or Zhang's curse. The curse turning Tian gay doesn't make much sense, as it should mostly affect Song by making him feel the rejection from someone he cares about. Still, I am glad the curse is mentioned, if only because I want Zhang to matter. Like it would really suck if he killed himself in the first episode, and that action had no influence on the other characters or the plot.
The sidekicks are not the smartest, but at least this way the moms have plenty of opportunities to explain their plans without resorting to just monologuing to the audience. When Li tells Mud to serve Tian, the best case scenario would be that they have sex and it turns out he was never really gay. Unfortunately for Li, that's not what happens, as Tian is not as interested in keeping his secret as his she is. If he let her stay the night that could have gotten some rumours going, but even that didn't happen, so no one is happy. They yell at each other in the garden about it while Chan eavesdrops from behind the bushes. She finds out nothing, but they have got to stop having these arguments where people can overhear.
We meet Pin! She's adorable and so clumsy that she's basically a walking infomercial. "Don't you just hate it when you're carrying a family heirloom through the market, someone bumps into you slightly and you throw away the priceless vase?" Luckily Yang is there, so she fumbles her way into a meet-cute.
And we finally meet lover boy! Tian's in love, I'm in love, you're in love.
And we made it to the performance! Yang asks Tian what play this is right after the actor introduces themself as Hua Mulan, this is mostly so the viewers feel smart for knowing who Mulan is (even if only from the Disney movie). The story of Mulan has some stuff about disguising who you really are, so it could have some parallels with Tian's feelings. But wait! They adapted the play to protest Japanese soldiers, which means the soldiers start shooting everyone who's there. Yang saves a little kid, and Tian almost gets hurt, but lover boy comes to the rescue.
Lover boy's body count: 2 (this is probably worth keeping an eye on)
We find out that Tian has to get married and have children before he can become the head of the association, and that his mom found a very nice young lady for him in Pin. They take a walk in the gardens where Pin tries to stumble into Tian, which seems like a solid plan until you realise that she's naturally very clumsy, so obviously this doesn't work out. Tian finds an excuse to leave to do Business Success Win so Pin and Yang have time to bond and negotiate blackmail.
Chan finally finds the hairpin that Tian's been hiding for 12 years! She doesn't really think anything of it, because hairpins are not suspicious items (unlike half-burned hairpins).
By the end of this episode, the scene is mostly set, we know the characters (except lover boy, but he's supposed to be mysterious), so we're ready to move on to things (probably mostly murder attempts) happening. Next episode: Will Tian tell her mom that Chan is hiding in the closet? Will Chan find out that Tian is hiding in the closet? Will we find out lover boy's name? (Tiny spoiler: all of these questions have the same answer. (ETA: even tinier spoiler: no they don't, I just completely missed something when i first watched episode 3))

I’ve seen on many blogs that said that HO were over, not only pr blogs, shipper-anons wrote them “are you embarrassed now for thinking they were over when they are stronger then ever, real thing, end game”. And I just want to find these anons when bua drops that will be sooner than later and ask them “are you embarrassed now?”
Last night changed nothing compared to what have been happening for the last month. Shippers are just extremely hungry for anything that can assure them that their ship isn’t over and real. They ignore that they didn’t stayed together, that he saw her in the car and wanted someone else to ride with them, that he left after party after 45 mins there ALONE, that it was full of harries so how nobody saw them cuddling except that one girl, and why would he be doing this knowing that his fans were there. Shippers are losers. Personally nothing can change my mind that bua is coming probably some time after the end of dwd promo.
And I feel so sorry for Ana because she probably was getting the most negative and closed her asks as she made a post a month ago that they were over and literally nothing indicates that they will come back with pap walks and the rest. He won’t start calling her a b*tch and spiting on her after the break up. He behaved professional yesterday. It’s shippers problem that they take any interaction as a romantic thing because, again, they are hungry for content and never touched a human in their lives.
Slippers cling onto anything
Gawker even made up of Olivia Wilde updates because they were so excited about them and the cast standing in an elevator. Even though Harry had done everything you just said. Shippers pick only the angle that makes their pathetic narrative work

No Perspective. pt.10
Wow, well, with the approach of the BUA, they write more and more shit that didn't really happen🤡
Um, at the beginning of the year, we already got a bunch of crappy info that Harry spends a lot of time with his children and that he is a wonderful "stepfather", and now they write that, "Harry is slowly getting to know her kids," yeah.🙄 Guys, at least you can decide what you're writing.
And now my favorite, let's go through the facts.
Harry has been working hard all this year. He finished (thank God) shooting in DWD, and later went to England to shoot in another movie. Later he had a tour, which ended successfully and Harry immediately flew back to London for a reshoot. He physically had no opportunity to spend time with them. And besides, knowing #cockburn, we would DEFINITELY get a bunch of photos! But, since no one saw anything, then, accordingly, Harry NEVER spent / and would NEVER have spent time with them, respectively.
"Olivia is also spending time with his mom," 🙄WHAT? Seriously? Their only meeting took place at a concert in San Diego, and apparently was not very welcoming. Anne made it clear to all of us that the Octopus was not pleasant to her.Although he is pleasant to anyone? (except Weinstein).
In general, my dear ones, DO NOT BELIEVE everything that they will write until the end of December. Because #cockburn will do everything possible to stay longer. Especially now that she has become MIA so that people think she's with Harry and his family in London, and so that we all believe in these shitty articles. But it's not! Be reasonable.

IPK Rewatch: EP 03; Urs
Yesterday's highlight, the pearls scattering and then Gupta's uttering the words of Khushi being a foster child, an adopted child in the family started with Khushi asking Arnav, "Aap ki didi ke bare mein koi aise bole, toh aap kya bolenge ge!"
Yesterday, Arnav simply threatens by showing her the destruction he can cause when someone even utters the name of his sister with the idea of malice or ill thoughts. Today, the reason for Arnav to truly scatter Khushi's life begins.
We see the episode opening with Khushi recalling the harsh words she's heard the night before and preparing to light something on fire. I absolutely love the inclusion of Arnav's taunt of status and wealth in the recollection. Arnav made an impression on her and as much reason Khushi has to dislike him, their is no denying that like the magnetic pull Arnav felt towards the girl whom he refused to let go until she removed her hand from his collar, Khushi also felt his pull towards her. Arnav is here to stay in her mind.
The implication that Khushi might take a drastic step aligns with how every single action of Khushi can appear more exaggerated than it is only because of who Khushi is. In this instance, we see the unraveling of Khushi to some extent. She doesn't claim to be put together, and we slowly begin to understand that how Khushi's strength lies in her ability to embrace her vulnerabilities and mistakes. The moment she hides something is when she becomes weak.
While making jalebis, there are I believe prices next to food items on the board. 16, 7, 10. I can't read Hindi so I won't go much into it but every single shot in IPK to include numbers, colours, and even ambiguous dialogue had something layered behind it. I absolutely loved the metaphorical alignment the script used.
I also loved the shape of Khushi's jalebis. With unfathomable amount of ruckus caused, the jalebis reflect her inner turmoil. We later see the significance of it when she ends up writing Arnav's name in jalebis. The growing pile of it is also reflective of how much distress she finds herself in and feels responsible for.
Returning to Lucknow hasn't been fun for Arnav's PTSD, however for now he's able to think clearly enough to know that the news of his show being ruined shouldn't be coming out to the masses. For someone who is private, hard to reach, only shows up in selective events, and keeps a close circle, a major company event being ruined with his presence there, and him being involved is a scandal for AR and can tarnish his own reputation at being a perfectionist. Funny, how few words of Khushi completely eat away at any semblance of brain for whatever time-being she is present.
Anjali is still lurking around, and she's a catalyst in us understanding Arnav outside of ASR. His anger is fake. A shield. Being ASR for the world protects him in his own eyes. Also bitwa eating oats when he's on his own but indulging whatever his family puts out on the dinner table whenever they are around shows that even if he disagrees, he respects their choices. At her insistence, and prioritising her comfort, Arnav agrees to go to the dargah in her place. Unintentionally it is Anjali and Shyam who bring Khushi and Arnav closer to each other. Yesterday's mishap included alluding to Anjali's presence by Khushi. Today, Anjali who only wishes for her Chotte's happiness has sent him on the way to meet the girl who'll be his world for the second time. Shyam's relevancy doesn't find its footing without Anjali being the reason for Arnav's wrath unleashed on Khushi.
Back here Khushi betiya has been in full swing with Jalebi Everests. There are three stacks in sight.
Khushi strives to make things right for her family. Even on the two occasions when they remind her of her orphaned status, she truly doesn't give up on their love and acceptance and finds a way back. It's symbolic of how Khushi as a person rarely gives up on love when it means something to her. She is willing to do anything which translates into her rather crooked moral compass which is also ruled by what bring happiness to those she loves. After all, the internalised message is "Khoon ke rishte se, Dil ke rishte bare hote hain!" Shashi assures Khushi of the blessings in disguise. I love his validation of her intentions. It is clear throughout the series, that if Khushi walks with her head high even after some of her decisions appear misplaced, it's because of Shashi's upbringing that she finds herself confident in her own ability to manoeuvre because she believes in the purity of her intentions and hopes that Devi Mayyian is able to understand the reasons behind her actions just as much as she does even if no one else does so.
I find that besides Shashi, occasionally Payal, the only other person to truly understand Khushi for her intentions is Arnav. While he eventually goes on to find the chaos she leaves behind her amusing, his respect for her cements through his understanding of how her moral compass is governed by love and intentions to do good for others rather than herself.
If Arnav is Anjali's Chotte, then Khushi is Shashi's Chutki. Ah, how I wish Shashi would've manage to recover somewhat by the end of the show. His and Khushi's relationship is a beautiful one.
The support of their neighbours seems to put Garima and Bua ji at ease a lot more than earlier when people were gossiping about the returned barat. One of the old ladies in this scene is also present in Bua ji's Laxminagar and kisses Arnav on the forehead. Ah, ipk truly had it's moment with recycling of background actors.
Khushi tends to stand behind people who support her when she is being vilified or attacked from all sides. She moves behind Garima when the goons try to come after her. In this scene with the neighbours, she stands behind Shashi. The only other person she seeks protection from besides her parents is Arnav.
Gupta gang on their way to the urs have their car stalled whereas Arnav directs his driver to drive faster. A contrast in the way the Raizadas and Guptas world works.
As Khushi steps out of the car, a red chunni flies on her face. Blessings all around.
Arnav on the other hand, I think, he sensed the difference. He even goes onto remember the dupatta on his face. This episode is the first instance of Khushi nicknaming Arnav, Laad Governor.
Throughout the entire Dargah sequence, the lines "muramat kardo muqadar ki maula!" repeat over the two when they are in the same frame. Their fates intertwined are going to find solace in each other, find their ability to heal with each other. Poetic!
Also, as they both are walking towards the shrine, they are offered blessings which Khushi readily accepts however Arnav rejects. It's an interesting juxtaposition from Khushi rejecting a lot of Devi Mayyian's signs of accepting Arnav as her protector and companion where as it doesn't take Arnav long to understand the effect Khushi's had on his ability to think since the very first moment.
Also, it's hilarious how she's asking to be able to see him once again so she can make him realise how wrong he'd been and all the while he's sitting right across from her.
While Arnav sits silently, making no prayers, Khushi prays for her sister's happiness. But it's after this moment that their journey really starts. For now, it's been the divine stars, the blessings, the coincidences. With this confrontation between the two, Arnav turns the coincidences into a string of events he begrudgingly has to take credit for. Of course Devi Mayyian aided in these decisions, but ASR wanted to play god as well, so here we are;
He recognises her voice. If it's wishful thinking on my part that he sensed her presence and her dupatta, then this one is no wishful thinking. Bitwa is finely attuned to betiya's voice and presence, and he realises that his sense beforehand weren't betraying him. He isn't surprised to see her, she IS.
Khushi's who just vowed to make this man realise his mistake runs after he tells her to throw the mannat ki chabi he dropped. We all can go on and on about the significance of this key because it plays such a huge role in Khushi's ability to practice her Haq and ownership over whatever simmers between them but most importantly I found this scene as a foreshadowing of how Arnav treats his happiness. He goes to the mazar on the insistence of his sister. He trusts his feelings about Khushi later onwards using his sister's words as a backdrop except that once Khushi falls from his eyes (Shyam & terrace), he begrudgingly ties her to himself mostly because even in pain he finds himself to be the only one to have the right to hurt her. And here he doesn't care for whatever the key might hold. Khushi who doesn't give up when it come to love whether of family's, or his', holds on to the love just like how later onwards, Khushi holds onto the love that was between them whereas Arnav does his best to to remove memory he possibly could.
Arnav Singh Raizada, running 10-15 mins late to his meeting stops for this girl when we just saw him a day earlier walking past people he didn't care to answer. But he stops here. Arnav stopping to listen to this girl, heaving and panting with her hair falling off pins goes to show how important Khushi has become.
Also, god, Khushi truly does come as a storm. Rushing past she tells people she'll come back to apologise.

Kishor Autobiography
Hello Friends;
It’s me Kishor Kumar and this is a real life story about Myself and the sacrifices of my Mother for me. Till now 21 years have passed & few things are still buried so deep in my heart but it’s the right time to reveal it. I have seen as well as read the biography of many famous people but the biography of my mother’s life who live only for me can’t be explained in words or story but still I try my level best to share my mother’s struggle and sacrifices through my website.
Many years ago a Baby girl was born on 1st April 1978 in middle class family at Goriar. Her Father(my Maternal Grandfather) name is Maheshwar Singh who is a farmer by his occupation and Her Mother(my Maternal Grandmother) name is Pushpa Devi is a housewife. My Maternal Grandfather had 2 daughters; The younger one is “Neelam Devi”(My Mausi) & the younger one is “Kumkum Kumari”(My Mother). They all use live in village Goriar Thana Tikapatti of district Purnea. In their childhood days my mother and mausi were very naughty specially maa.
My Mother was very much focussed towards her studies.she completed her 10th with 1st division in year 1992 from Prabwati Gupta High school,Motihari.Everybody was so proud that her daughter cleared the 10th board with 1st division.During Her studies,She got married which disturbed her a lot in her studied & she failed to give the 12th final examination.
It was Arrange Marriage with Dinesh Kumar Singh(my Father) in 1996.I never seen him but as much I listen about him from my mother he was a nice person and he love me and my mother so much.THEN_ _ _ I was born on 27th Feb 1998.It was the day of great joy for our whole family specially for my mother and father. Many up and down come in my mother and father’s life but they always stand together in their worst and best time.
My mother wished to do her further studies which was denied on saying that daughter in law never go outside for studies;their main purpose is to do household works. She accepted it silently just for me and my father. From her childhood day she was not so much interested in cooking food, but she has to sacrifices with it.She was treated like a servant at his laws house.she cooked for atleast 7/8 people per day but my grandmother(dadi) never respected her.she always insulted her & torture her on saying that this type of worst food is not even given to our animal and you are serving it to us.My mother never got any love from my grandmother which every girl expect. My grandmother was so jealous to my mother that whenever my papa went to my maternal grandfather’s house they thought that my maternal grandfather and grandmother was provoking my father towards them and due to that my grandmother tortured my mother every single day;but my maa never said a word because she was taught that now your husband’s family is your own family.love them, respect them like us.never try to hurt them.
My mother always loved and treat my Bua(father’s sister) as a sister but they never followed any relation with my mother. Bua had relation only with my mother’s saree, jewellers etc. Even in my aunty’s(mausi) marriage Bua left not even a single piece of saree for my mother. My mother took a saree from my maternal grandmother then she attend ed the marriage of her own sister. My maternal grandfather had requested them millions of time to come and bless his daughter but my grandmother(dadi) refused it & at last my Buas come to attend the marriage to do the formalities only.
After One Year Another Happiness arrived in our Life.My little princess my Sister came to our home on 1999. Each and every person was so happy on that day except my grandmother’s family member .As she was a girl no body of my Grandmother’s house was happy but she was a Barbie doll for me, maa & papa.we were very happy in our small world.
But suddenly it was like everything is finished.Life had stuck at one point. My little sister had passed away due to high fever. My mother and father’s life was stuck at one point. My mother and father both were recovering from that incident. After few months in 1999 my mother got the news that my father is no more. She was broken into pieces. Now She had to lead her mountanious life alone with his(my father) memories only.Few days passed away at that time i was only one and half years old it was very hard for me to understand the situation of my mother. After this another incident my mother had become like a human without a sense {unconscious} at that point of time she want to ruined her life, but when she saw me infront of her eyes she found a reason to live.
When everyone was emotionally broken and don’t know what was going on in our life;my maternal grandfather(nana ji)controlled his emotion and stood like a pillar and give strength to my mother to start a new life for me……………………………………..BUT…………………………………...............GOD was so cruel at that time, beyond all these my mother also blamed for the death of my father. My mother was broken initially. My grandmother(dadi) separated me from my mother on saying that when she will completely recover from all these situation and incident then she can take me back then my grandmother took me with her and i was separated from my mother.i was at grandmother’s house and mother was at her father(nana g) house.I was said to call my bua as my mother and my mother as bua. As i was just 2 years old,i was not able to recognise what was happening in my life and my mother’s life.
“At the age when child holds the finger of his father and plays with him I was in police custody and loosing my childhood”.I was very helpless without my mother,my mother try her level best to get me because I was the only reason for her happiness. One sudden day police arrived with their search warrant and started searching me in my grandmother’s(dadi) house but they still lied that i am not with them;they had caged me in a box. This level of mental pressure for a child is too much to got mad but it was the only result of my mother’s love that i was fine and police got me.After that I was handed to my mother and after that my mother refused to live with them again .During this period of time my mother completed my 12th board in year 2000.
Here begins the turning point of our life. After lots of sacrifices my mother got the same job at the place of my father.Once again the path of happiness turns towards my mother’s life.My maternal grandfather,me and my mother started to live in a rent house. After a few days my maternal grandmother was called from village because when my mother joined office she was facing problems in handling the office and house both.In her office My mother got a best friend (Neelam). She supported my mother a lot.
My uncle(chacha g) started threaten to my mother mentally. He tried to disturbed her mentally.but my maternal grandfather handled everything. My grandmother(dadi) asked for a share in my mother’s salary but my mother replied that I had already left my shared in your property.I don’t even want a pinch(ek tinka) of it but sorry i have to look after my family. If you want to came and stay with me i am very happy with that but sorry i can’t give you a share in my salary.
After few year on 17th june 2005 my janeu ceremony was going to happen.I asked my mother to invite our grandmother’s (dadi) family but she totally refused it.when my maternal grandfather talked to my mother then she agreed to take me to my grandmother’s(dadi) house.so that I can invite them myself.I was very much excited with this.
when I reached my grandmother’s house my uncle opened the door.I bent down to take blessings but he stepped back that was the first time when i realised that why my mother was refusing me but i still invited them all with same respect and returned back home. The behaviour of my uncle hurt me deeply which i can’t forget ever. “The janeu ceremony day arrive. It was a very special day for my mother.she was very happy and my mother knew that no one of my grandmother’s family will came and blessed me but I still had a hope that remained unfulfilled.
No one from my grandmother’s family came except one of my fufa ji. My fufa ji informed us that my uncle had warned everybody that if anyone of our family will go there then he will shoot him/her then we came to know the reason why none of my grandmother family member attend my janeu ceremony. But I was very happy at that time because I came to know the truth at the right time of my life.
After that incident a huge gap formed between me and my grandmother’s family,After living for 17years in the same house on rent,by the blessing of my big brother laddu gopal and hard labour of my mother and by the support of my maternal grandfather and grandmother our own home is completely ready in year 2017 and we shifted there. During this time i completed my 10th,12th from Purnea and currently i am pursuing my B-tech degree from jalandhar punjab.
whatever, whoever I am today is just because of my mother,my maternal grandfather and maternal grandmother. Maa you are a strong women and i love you for it.
You are my maa, best friend,my teacher,my mentor,my advisor and my first girl friend.Maa,nana, nani thank you for your all unconditional love, bondless patience, amazing wormth and endless support.you all made my whole life a beautiful happy story.you are my everything maa ,nana ,nani no matter how bad I felt and how many unpleasant situation I expierenced, you were always there.you always understand ,support and console me. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Epi begins with everyone getting emotional hearing Anand’s poem. You and Sameer should always be happy. This is your Chacha ji’s dream. Naina runs to give her Chacha ji a hug. Rakesh wipes his tears as well. Bela caresses Naina’s shoulder and hugs her. Pooja and Preeti smile through their tears. Everyone is touched. Munna and Pundit walk up to Sameer. Naina hugs her Chacha ji again. Le Jayenge Dilwale Dulhaniya song starts playing. Munna and Pundit pull Sameer for a dance. Everyone smiles except Bobby, Mama ji and Mami ji. Sameer winks at Naina who ends up smiling as well. Naina says I don’t know what to say. Sameer tells her not to say anything. She says I am very happy. This is my life’s best surprise. I can even give you my life in return of this happiness. He asks her if she is sure. I cannot ask for your life as you are my life. Just give me what I was asking for in the car the other day. He points at his lips. She looks around for a second and then closes her eyes. She stands still as he leans closer for the kiss. He smiles. The record which dint break in 4 years wont break in another 2 days too! We will atleast be able to tell our kids then that we only held each other’s hands before the wedding. People say that the end result of patience is sweet. Maybe the kiss will be sweet too. She smiles and runs away. All the guests look pointedly at Beena. She says you are staring at me as if I sent Rakesh there. What’s my mistake? Guests say neither Beena nor Naresh (Tau ji) is at fault. Till now we thought Anand will come and take us but then Rakesh also left. One guest points out that most of the rituals are over. What will we do? Naresh tells them to do whatever they wish to. Another guest asks him if he wont give up. Naresh refuses. Anand is taking Rakesh with him to eat something when Mama ji collides with him and drops water on him. Sameer asks Mrs. Maheshwari if she liekd the house. He denies. You will see it when you we will be married. You will step inside the house only as a married woman during your grahpravesh. Rakesh watches Sameer and Naina and does not react. He walks away quietly from there followed by Anand. Mama ji wonders how a volcano turned into ice. Sameer tells Naina she wont be able to step out of the house ever after stepping inside once. You will be imprisoned for life. She smiles shyly. Mami ji asks Rakesh why he is sitting alone. Did no one look after you? He stands. Naina comes there with a plate. Rakesh says I am the father of the bride. Someone may walk up to me or not but I have a duty to ask everyone. He offers the plate to her but she walks away. Rakesh sits down with the plate. Naina sits next to him. He looks at her. Naina says if you had come today then. She goes quiet as he stares at her. She asks him if he will stay with her like this always. He nods. She recalls that he does not like lady finger. He stops her from taking the plate and eats lady finger. I like everything today. Naina says you never told me that you sing or play harmonium. He smiles. She says I also had a dream like every other girl. I wanted you to do my Vidaai. He says you remember that I don’t like lady finger but you forgot that I like Gulab Jamun. Go and bring it. She nods and goes to bring it. Voiceover – Naina:I had cried many times in the past because of Papa but the reasons were different. This was the first time I cried out of happiness because of Papa. That time, I was only wishing that God keeps making me cry like this forever. Rakesh wipes his tears. Naina looks back at him. Voiceover – Naina:I was honestly feeling so thankful to Sameer that day. He had made my dream come true by bringing Papa there. Voiceover – Sameer:Dreams are dreams that break anytime. We were so lost in our love that day that we forgot to put a kala teeka on them. Naina asks her Papa if he wants something else. He shakes his head while trying to smile through his pain. Ladies of the society praise the ceremony. There was so much variety. Sameer and Naina looked just like Ram and Sita. Main attraction was Rakesh ji. He sang so well. Beena ji sends them to their homes. The ladies leave. Beena rues that everyone is trying to make her jealous. I am already tired because of the guests and now these ladies are leaving no stone unturned to make me unhappy. She prays to God to do something to break the wedding. I feel like destroying everything! Voiceover – Naina:That day we found out that God hears both our prayers and curses equally. Tai ji’s curse was so strong that a storm came in real! The weather turns bad in the night. Naina wakes up with a start and looks outside. It is raining cats and dogs. Bela wakes up Preeti. Phula Bua asks Bela to bring the stuff inside or it will be ruined. Electricity goes off. The guests wake up immediately. It is raining so hard in November? The condition is same in Sameer’s house. Everyone is boggled seeing the weather. Munna is talking to the band guy. He is talking about cancelling the wedding! Pundit says how will the Baraat go then? Sameer looks on. Beena dances happily seeing the bad weather. All her relatives watch her. Naresh comes there. What are you discussing? Bela wonders how the wedding will happen now. Naina and Sameer look at their respective windows. Sameer has made a fist out of his hands. Munna and Pundit notice it. There is heavy rain with lightning. Guests remark that it will be impossible to have a wedding in this condition. Munna says how the Baraat will go in this wedding. Epi ends on Naina and Sameer’s faces. Precap: Sameer and Naina’s family hold a puja in their respective homes. Update Credit to: Pooja

Hi S! I recently found you guys' podcast and I'm enjoying it so much on my commute! I was rewatching the show recently and is it just me or did they not tie up the 10 din track at all? Like when khushi went home to bua-ji's and was basically just waiting for the dissolution of the contract marriage. It seems like they just came back to shantivan and then the dadi track started. Are we just meant to understand that khushi was being stubborn and when arnav said I love you damnit she decided to stay with him after all?
Hi!
Those days were very inconsistently written. The whole issue is that this is a non-consensual marriage which actually has no validity in law (as coercive marriages are technically illegal - although it happens a lot) and even religiously invalid (which is funny considering how many forced marriages do exist).
The whole issues is that it being coercive makes it invalid and the show chose to do anything except address that the marriage didn't have Khushi's consent cause that's a very very grey area (and also state that ek chutki sindoor honestly doesn't have the power of religious validity).
The 10 days track was literally scrapped out. It was the only thing addressing the very problematic circumstance around the marriage and Khushi's very rightful anger and Arnav's very in character cockiness. It would've been a perfect loop. Arnav forced the end day of the marriage. Khushi would end the farce. Just give some agency back to the female lead.
Khushi wasn't being stubborn - she was written as an idiot in the janmasthami episodes but look at this - she knows her marriage is over, she is now living with him under religious validity because Arnav lied to her that their marriage is worthless after six months (she and the audience has no idea that contract marriages don't technically exist rather they can be annulled at 6 months if the marriage hasn't been consummated or other factors, divorces can be filed only after one year of the marriage barring exceptional circumstances).
So she's now living with him, knowing the sindoor and mangalsutra makes then a couple and then she learns that even the religious wedding is invalid so she's into panic mode thinking she's not at all married to Arnav.
And knowing his volatile temper and lack of belief in marriage itself - he could easily throw her out of the house and she has no marriage immunity to give her a house because her family would want her to return to her "husband" and she doesn't have one.
Yeah, this is all terribly patriarchal.
And when he wants to consummate Khushi is extremely confused and panicking cause she isn't sure what she is to Arnav (he goes from I can't live without you, kissing her forehead to literally you're the biggest mistake of my life and I wish I never met you in a span of a day) and of course she's still very very hurt. So when he confesses that he does love her, it puts a lot of her worries to rest. She has no more questions and is actually pretty stunned. She's happy.
If Arnav wants her, loves her, loves her enough to accept it - then that's the biggest validity. Nothing else can threaten her relationship with him because when he wants something, he ensures it's his forever.
And in this case he wants and loves Khushi. That's the best guarantee that she'll be with him forever.
There's such terrible writing and overnight scrapping of plot points here though that it's tough to understand what's quite happening. Although the beginning of this track served so well. The angsty dialogues, her snapping that this is just a contract marriage (tbh I'd much rather take him yelling he loves her when she just calls this a contract that's over than the whatever saat-phere thing).
It's kind like they went the least desirable way to execute a really good track. It had everything - comedy, romance and angst. I think they really wanted to unite ArShi at that point cause fans were frustrated but I believe we would've been open to argument escalating to him declaring he loves her - she coming back home after that with the brief peace of perhaps things getting better, some more romance now that they both know things are better and both are in love - and then Dadi coming in with Shyam's info that Khushi isn't as much of a wife as she thinks she is.
Best,
S

Arnav, Khushi: Choti Si Duniya
#3 Old Habits
On most days Arnav and Khushi were happily married, with ample amount of laughter, space, sex, healthy banter, mild arguments, partnership and friendship filling their days.
On some days they just took the breath away from the other by simply existing, thrumming in the evergreen Rabba Ve. And on other days they were quiet, with one of their past demons returning to haunt them while the other supported the best they could.
And on the rarest days their arguments would take an ugly turn. It wasn’t a difference of thought, but rather crossing an invisible line of trust. Old habits, which despite maturity and therapy, flared up.
Unfortunately, Arnav crossed it far more than Khushi did.
“You’re forgetting she’s my sister Khushi Kumari Gupta! How could you not tell me she’s dating my manager.”
“She is also my sister Arnav, and Di told me not to tell you-”
“I don’t fucking care-”
“-that’s exactly why she told me not to tell you. And Aman ji is a good man for Di.”
“I don’t care, you still don't know Aman.”
“I’ve known him for six years! And for your kind information, I am a good judge of character Arnav-”
“-no you're not. If you were a good judge then things would've been different.”
“What do you mean by that.”
“Forget it.”
“Don’t forget that with this judgement I chose to marry you.”
“Oh really? With this judgement you brought fucking Shyam back to the house. I told you it was a big mistake but no - you thought he had changed.”
Khushi stormed into their bedroom, packing her clothes for a week. How dare he accuse her for not understanding Shyam! Yes, she had made a colossal mistake regarding him, but bringing it up after five years?
Just because he couldn't handle Di having a boyfriend?
Khushi breathed hard, fought her tears and zipped up her suitcase.
“Khushi, I’m sorry.” Arnav panted, having run up the stairs. His panic grew at the suitcase.
“Then why did you bring that up.”
“I was angry, I didn’t... you know how I am regarding Di.”
“I do Arnav, but that does not excuse you bringing up that up. I would've never brought him to the house if I knew he killed Di’s child.”
“Of course, I know that. It’s just... I shouldn't know about Aman and Di after they’ve started dating.”
Khushi sighed. She understood his overprotectiveness, especially after the Shyam fiasco they were all at edge towards Anjali. Frankly if it had not been for Aman, Khushi would’ve confided in Arnav.
“I get it, but I’m leaving for Bua ji’s for a week... if I didn’t know you, I would've never forgiven you for what you said.”
“Khushi you know I didn’t mean it.”
“And you know that anything related to that man is... has never been my fault.”
“I know Khushi but don’t go.” He held her hand.
“Arnav, I’m not in the state to forgive you for what you said. I want to calm down, take a little break and talk to you about this. So first, go and talk to your sister and please let me go.”
Arnav’s temper ticked. He hated Khushi leaving home. Leaving him.
“Running away from things don’t fix anything.”
“I’m not running away Arnav, I need space.”
“I said I’m sorry.” He yelled.
“And that is not enough!” She matched his pitch, grabbed her suitcase and headed for the door. Except he shut the door on her face and pulled her away.
“You can’t leave,” He warned. Khushi snatched her hand away from his.
“Or else?” She challenged.
“You know what I’m capable of,” His mouth hardened into its cruel, familiar straight line. And Khushi’s heart broke, again.
“Every single fucking time,” Khushi swore and threw her bag to the floor, angry tears rolled down her cheeks. Arnav faltered, his grip on the door loosening.
“Khushi main-” Khushi stopped him and stepped away.
“Enough Arnav. Main kya? You didn’t mean what you said? Didn’t mean to hold my hand hard enough to hurt? Didn’t mean to bring up the past? Didn’t mean to break my heart?” Khushi folded her arms, analyzing his face.
“But it still hurts. And you do nothing to fix it. I wonder, where does this come from?”
“I don’t want you to leave me.” He said.
“I didn’t leave you when things were worse, when you couldn't stand being in the same room as me-” And despite the years, the memories filled Arnav with guilt and Khushi with pain. He looked away, unable to meet her eyes.
“I’m sorry,” His voice had lost its strength, “I wish I could change-”
“Hume uss baat se koi farak nahi padta. I have never asked you for an explanation or your regret. I’ve left these behind. But you haven't. Your habits haven't.” Khushi wiped her tears, struggling to keep her composure.
“You know, let’s talk about this. Because I’ve heard all of this before and we never really addressed how you broke my heart. And the fact that you can say all this despite all the therapy we've been to...”
Arnav sank into the green chaise, head in his hands. Khushi, always having the bigger heart, kneeled by him and grabbed his face. He was crying. Her heart truly broke.
“Talk to me Arnav. Why do you say these things? It’s been so long, and trust me when you shut the door and grab me I still get scared, it still breaks my heart despite everything. It will never be okay-”
Arnav held her hand, whispering his sorries to her.
“And what do you mean by ‘my sister’. Don’t you know how long it took me to make this family my own. Arnav, my world changed overnight. You know this. Tumhara, mera... you make me feel like this is not mine. That this house, this-”
“No Khushi, everything is yours. Yeh ghar, Di, main-” He choked.
“Then why do you work so hard to push me away? I know you're concerned for Di, even I was first worried when I learned she liked Aman ji. But she's happy with him.” Khushi said.
“I can’t... Di was happy with Shyam. I can't see her go through pain again, when I know that I could've prevented it.” Arnav confessed.
“Arnav, things would've hurt irrespective of everything we did. Or maybe because of it. The problem was not that we couldn't protect her, it’s that we took away her choice. Our decision to tell her the truth depended on it our convenience to lie about him.” Arnav agreed.
“And Aman ji is different. You know him for twelve years and if he turns out terrible despite that, then we’ll support Di the best we can and murder him.” Khushi cracked a smile and Arnav chuckled.
“I’m sorry Khushi,” He said, wiping her tear away.
“You should be. I mean, yes, I should've known better about trusting a man who didn't hesitate to kidnap you-” Arnav tsked at her.
“You were barely in your twenties. I shouldn't have brought that up.” He huffed.
“But you did.” She smiled sadly. Arnav stopped himself from saying 'I didn't mean to'. If he didn't, he shouldn't have. So he attempted at pouring his heart, saying things he meant.
He often resorted to pulling people’s mistakes when they made a decision without his input to prove they can't always make the right choice.
“Because I believe I’m the only one who can take the right decisions for everyone...” Arnav scoffed at the irony of his sentence. There were times when he had succeeded but despite his best efforts he did hurt Khushi where it hurt most.
"I always think it’s right to use any means to stop you from leaving me, especially after a fight. Cause I think I’ll fix everything later, as long as you're in front of me.” He confessed.
“Except it fixes nothing. It just... Arnav I feel like I have to cut a part of myself to be with you after such things because I love you, I love you so much that I can’t bear to not love you. Aur aise harkatein ke baad... it gets difficult to love you.” Khushi began to cry.
“It kills me to not be able to love you.” Arnav kissed her forehead, holding her tight in his arms. Her sobs racked against his chest, breaking his heart to two.
“Khushi please don’t... how can I fix this? I feel like any sorry isn't enough.”
“Let’s talk. Like this, always.” Khushi sniffled. Arnav nodded, pressing another kiss to the top of her head.
“And... if I want to leave,” Arnav’s grip tightened, “know that I’m always coming back. Except I just need space to process things.” Khushi broke the hug, and caressed his cheek.
“Ok, I’ll tell Mohan to drive you to Bua ji’s. I won't- can’t, you know I won't be able to leave you there.” Arnav smiled, holding her hand against his cheek.
“I’ll talk to Di about everything and we’ll work on this.” He pointed to themselves. Everything was worth a shot.
“And I will never keep anything from you.” She promised, acknowledging her own mistake.
“Ab jao, otherwise I won’t let you go.” Arnav turned away, dismissing her. Khushi pressed the most loving, forgiving kiss against his cheek and left for Bua ji’s.
---
Aman and Anjali watched Khushi leave for Bua ji’s. She had and bid everyone goodbye - Aarav choosing to stay home, afraid of the cheek pulling at Lakshminagar. But promised to FaceTime his mum at every single minute.
Arnav, had not come down to see her off. Anjali was worried sick. Aman tried to placate her.
“Aman, you have no idea the problems Chote and Khushi faced because of my first marriage. I did not... I always ruin everything. My blind faith nearly destroyed my brother’s happiness and yet again-” Aman placed his finger against Anjali’s lips, shushing her effectively.
“No Anjali. You are not responsible for ASR and Khushi bhabhi’s lives. Your faith in your husband was admirable. If the narrative was different, you would've been lauded for your trust in him. Unfortunately that wasn't the case.” Anjali didn’t agree. Aman grabbed her shoulders and pulled her close.
“Anjali, look at me. Take deep breaths. Ab, listen. Yes, you affect ASR’s life - why wouldn't you, he's your brother, your support, your heart. But whatever happens in his life is a result of his actions. Same applies for Khushi bhabhi. Yes, they might have fought regarding us, but not because of it.”
“But Aman-”
“No buts, if we were to break up - because, of course, ASR affects your life too - would you hate ASR?” This time Anjali grabbed Aman’s shoulders in response to his questions.
“I would never hate my brother Aman Mathur. And no matter how much I love him, I would speak to him but not give up on you like that.” If they were not in Shantivan, Aman would’ve kissed her senseless on the spot.
“It’s taken me a lot to fall in love, and I’m not going to change that-”
“Then that resolves everything Di.” Aman and Anjali jumped apart on finding Arnav leaning against a wall, a soft smile playing on his lips. These few minutes said a lot about Aman and Anjali’s relationship that he wouldn’t have been able to have assessed without a calm mind.
“Chote.” Anjali nearly ran into her brother’s arms. Arnav hugged her tight, happy and relieved at the same time.
“It’s ok Di. First of all, as Aman said, you’re not responsible for anything. Everything will be fine between Khushi and me. And next time, you can tell your brother everything, I wouldn’t sack Aman for being your boyfriend... even if I’m tempted to.” Anjali pushed him against his shoulder and the siblings grinned.
“Thank you Chote. This means the world to me.” Aman smiled affectionately at the duo.
“There’s nothing to thank me. It is your life. But if Aman hurts you-”
“-then feel free to do anything with him.” Anjali quipped.
“Precisely. Even Khushi is on board with murder.”
“Do you both realize I am here.” Aman cleared his throat.
“Yeah, that saves me the time to separately give the shovel talk. You are truly efficient Aman.” Anjali laughed and headed towards Aman, who was more than happy to receive the threats.
He was officially welcomed to the Raizada's.
---
Madhumati and Garima had long learned what interference could cost in both, Khushi and Payal’s lives. With Shashi’s recovery they realized that if they had let both the daughters take decisions they saw fit, a lot of misunderstandings would've been avoided.
So when Khushi arrived with her bag and a call came from Payal apprising the Guptas of the situation at home, the Guptas needed no answers from Khushi nor were in a hurry to send her to Shantivan.
For this home would always remain as Khushi’s.
Madhumati didn’t prod about the untouched jalebis (although she did have a good mind to use her belan on her beloved damaad), Garima busied herself with her hour long chats with her grandson on the phone and Shashi gave Khushi the space to talk.
Time definitely allowed healing and perspective.
---
It was one of those days when Arnav was restless. Neither tending his plants nor working gave him relief. Perhaps it was because there were three more days for Khushi to come home?
He paced across every square inch of his mansion - the Prakashes and Raizada's knowing well to steer clear from Pacing Singh Raizada.
“Wassup Nannav? Missing Khushi bhabhi? You want me to send her a message? I’m heading there to grab some samosas.” NK grinned, as if he hadn't seen his cousin pining for Khushi in the past four days.
“Nothing.” Arnav gritted. He knew therapy was working. If not, NK would’ve been six feet under. And maybe Lavanya would’ve murdered him for it, but that was a small price to pay.
“Everything’s alright Chote?” Anjali stepped in, slapping NK behind his head.
“Yes Di, I ju-” Arnav stopped. The air sweetened, goosebumps broke and a sudden wind hit him. Oh, it was one of those days.
“Chote-”
“Nannav,”
Arnav ignored them and walked towards the door, nearly running by the end of it.
There was Khushi, in a red salwar kameez, house keys in hand.
They looked at each other as a strong breeze washed over them. A few strands of her hair flew and she softly smiled, before her chin wobbled and a sheen of tears betrayed her joy of coming home.
Oh, the one to cry at the drop of a hat!
Khushi ran up the few steps and nearly jumped into his arms as he engulfed her in his embrace. They remained in the intimate hug, sharing a few discreet kisses and whispered promises, oblivious to the audience.
“Di, how does Nannav always know when Khushi ji’s home?” NK asked.
“Old habits NK bhai, puraani aadatein.” Anjali smiled.

A/N: This was the longest CSD one shot! Here's your slice of angst but happily ever after - just let's say I was in one of those moods.
Choti Si Duniya is going to be a series of one shots of Arnav & Khushi’s life post the end of the show. These are going to be snippets inspired by certain gifs. I hope you liked it - do share your views!

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Munna and Pundit are trying to decide their clothes for the wedding. They also talk about the card distribution. They say that the groom should look best. We can wear anything. Landline rings. It is Anand. I don’t know if it is a mistake or a joke but it isn’t right. Sameer is confused. What happened? Anand asks him to read the cards again. Rakesh comes to his house mumbling to himself. Tai ji acts unaware of anything. Did anyone say something? Rakesh shouts that he is dead. His brother tells him to be mindful of his words. How did this came in picture? Rakesh shares that Sameer got his name printed as Late Rakesh. Tai ji says it might have happened by mistake but her husband says he would have done it intentionally. Anand would have supported him in it too. He wants the real father to be away so he can act great in front of the world. Rakesh vows not to step in Anand’s house ever again and walks away in a huff. Tai ji and Tau ji smile. Now Anand will have to come here. He will apologize to Rakesh and us too or the wedding wont happen. A wedding cannot happen without the real father. It is a win-win situation for us. Tau ji advises his wife to keep an eye on Rakesh. He keeps switching sides. Sameer is unable to find out the mistake. Anand points out that he has put Late in front of Rakesh’s name. Sameer and his friends are shocked to realise their folly. I don’t know how it happened. Anand tells Sameer now even he does not know how the wedding will happen. Now I don’t know if he will even come in the wedding or not. Sameer gets tensed. I will talk to the card guy. Anand asks him as to who wrote the matter. Sameer offers to tlak to the card guy. Anand asks him who gave the matter. Sameer says it was Munna but Munna and Pundit have been handling everything so diligently. They aren’t even studying and just focussing on my wedding. It isn’t really their fault. I will apologize to everyone. Anand agrees. Sameer hugs his friends. They are in tears. He tells them not to try. How will we enjoy the wedding without mistakes? We just have to figure out how to pacify Rakesh Sir. Tai ji happily serves food to Rakesh. Tau ji tells him that Anand will come to lure him in his trap again. Just don’t fall for it. Tai ji seconds her husband. Rakesh tells them to stop. I am not a kid. I understand everything. They counter it. You lose when you give in. Don’t fall weak again. Rakesh says I have no interest with Anand or in Naina’s wedding anymore. I wont go there at all! He goes inside without eating food. Rakesh is trying to start his scooter when Sameer and Anand walk up to him. Anand requests his brother to hear Sameer when Rakesh asks him if he can see him. It is magical. You can see Late Rakesh Agarwal. Sameer apologizes to him but Rakesh taunts him for saying sorry after committing any mistake. Sameer says it was a printing mistake. Rakesh says it happens only in my case. Just make Anand your God and pray to him. Sameer requests him to forgive him. Punish me but please don’t be upset with me. I will accept any punishment. Tai ji comes running downstairs and asks Rakesh to come upstairs. Principal Sir wants to talk to you urgently. Rakesh stomps upstairs. Tai ji smirks in Anand’s direction. Sameer stands there tensed. Anand tells Sameer that Tai ji lied to Rakesh Bhaisahab. She knows Naina wont marry without Rakesh Bhaisahab and neither would I. Don’t worry. I will handle the situation now. You have done your bit. I will handle Rakesh Bhaisahab. Voiceover – Naina:Bride’s and groom’s yes are very important for any wedding. That day, my Papa’s yes became more important than ours for our wedding. I was just hoping that Papa agrees to come in the wedding. Rinki asks Preeti what Jija ji likes. Preeti points at Naina. Bela worries as to how the problem will be resolved this time. Rinki suggests marrying Sameer instead if the problems don’t sort out. Preeti gives her water so she stays mum for a while. Phula Bua tells Naina not to get sad. I will get you married. I will see how your father wont come in the wedding. Naina smiles a little. Anand comes just then. Naina asks him if Papa has agreed to come. Anand looks at Phula Bua who signals him to affirm it. Anand lies to Naina. Phula Bua tells Naina to smile now as everything is fine. Naina smiles hearing Sameer’s name. Anand compliments her on her smile. Phula Bua tells her to check everything that she would need at her in-laws’ place. Juhi comes to take something from Arjun. She notices his cricket bat and talks about his love for cricket. Arjun sadly shares that cricket used to be his passion. It all just ended one day. Bela shows the clothing and accessories to Naina. She also gifts her one of the sarees that Naina has liked since long. Preeti points that there is no needle in the sewing kit. Bela explains that girls are not given any sharp things like needle, scissors when they get married. Rinki tells Phula Bua to not give her all this during her wedding too. Everyone smiles. Bela tells Phula Bua that they packed everything except a nightie. Preeti tells her mother to have almond milk. Naina points out that she has packed 3 new night suits already. Rinki is eyeing Bela curiously when Phula Bua sends her to bring water for everyone. Bela says that kind of nightie. Preeti and Naina do the same movement asking her what kind of nightie she is referring to. Bela replies that she is referring to a different one (This is an epic scene ). Phula Bua says these girls are fools. She shows a photo to them in magazine. Voiceover – Naina:Neither I nor Preeti could understand Phula Bua and Chachi’s excitement that day. We wondered why they were getting so excited over a nightie. It might be because we were not so much aware of those things because internet was not so advanced back then. Precap: Bela, Preeti, Naina and Phula Bua come to a shop to buy special nightie. They hesitantly ask shopkeeper to show them a nightie. Right then, Sameer loudly asks the shopkeeper to pack a pink lace satin nightie. The ladies recognize his voice and look in his direction. Sitara goes speechless seeing them there.
