don’t think about how as shepard was spaced, her last thoughts, before blind panic and pain of suffocation and cold hit- was how fucking relieved she was that the crew got out. 

don’t think about how she gladly would have given her life for any of the crew- if joker hadn’t been the last to leave, someone else might have, and she’d have done the same. 

don’t think about how the captain will always go down with her ship. 

don’t think about how when she wakes up again, her first thoughts are for her crewmates, her team, even as she’s hurting, and fighting for her life, surrounded by people she doesn’t know. 

don’t think about how it’s been two years for everyone else, but for shepard, the pain of being spaced was practically yesterday. they had to deal with her dying. she has to deal with having been dead. 

with everyone having moved on, and here she is, left in the ashes of the normandy, trying to claw herself out of the grave they put her in, in their minds and hearts.

liara accepting that shepard is dead, as asari do, for they know that humans have a small fraction of their own lifespan and there wasn’t much to do to save the commander.

liara finding a spark of hope when a contact sends a datapad her way and tells her where shepard’s body could potentially be found.

liara tearing the fucking galaxy apart while chasing down the lead, desperate to find a way to bring the commander back.

liara handing the space ravaged body over to cerberus, her heart telling her it was the right choice, her mind saying that she will have regrets for the hundreds of years she’ll remain alive.

liara living in ilium, her emotions hardened by her actions, her threats sharper than they had been before, hiding the doubt that has festered within her for the past two years.

liara wondering, hoping, praying she had not made the wrong choice by trusting cerberus to bring the beloved commander back to life, for just one more attempt to knock the universe back into shape.

liara questioning her choices for the past two years of her life.

‘  though i admire admiral hackett’s military prowess..   ..   ..i don’t particularly find him attractive. i’ll pass.  ‘  his eyes widen in surprise, shoulders setting back in a shocked position. he does hope that this doesn’t hinder the turian-human relationship– that would most likely be the most embarrassing thing he’s done in office yet.

TWO HEADCANONS YOU HAVE FOR YOUR MUSE YOU NEVER TOLD ANYONE:

ONE.     sophie was prepared to die on habitat-7. she and her father had a strict, business-like relationship. she didn’t ever really like him much — alec was the kind of guy who yelled at his kids “out of love”. it only made them afraid to make mistakes.

when he put his helmet on her, she was absolutely wanting to rip it off. at that moment, sophie had a deathwish. she wanted to die. but, she was already half dead, and couldn’t pry the damned thing off. for a while, she firmly believe that alec sacrificed himself because he’d lose scott as well. however, after uncovering the last of alec’s memories, sophie realized that she was saved because ellen would have never forgiven him. this made her more bitter toward him: he had the ability to show such deep love for her mother, but could never find the courage to love her and scott. he was capable only when he saw sophie on the brink of death. only when he was about to lose everything. alec ignored the little things for far too long — so long, the big things didn’t matter. sophie will likely always see him as nothing more than a sperm donor and a coward.

TWO.     she is absolutely sure that one day, her biotics will kill her. she has far too many eezo abnormalities, and her resulting biotics are far too strong. it already took four separate implants for her to function normally without any hazardous flare-ups; and now she’s needing said implants replaced very soon due to the damage they’ve received via day to day wear-and-tear and multiple accounts of clinical death.

( in fact, sophie will eventually die as a result of extreme eezo abnormalities because i’m a sadist — not in the near future, but it’ll happen ).

THREE THINGS YOUR MUSE LIKES DOING IN THEIR FREE TIME:

reading and studying ancient mythology and fairytales.

sleeping. all the time.

drinking a LOT of alcohol, and eating a LOT of junk food.

not flat out murdering akksul. it’s mostly a petty regret — she is fully aware that she would have simply turned him into a martyr. sophie only regrets it because he remains a thorn in her side. a minor thorn, but annoying nonetheless.

bricking herself up in a metaphorical cellar by acting like an ass 90% of the time. :)
