How to Wake Up Early
You have most likely often heard that the early bird gets the worm, and that is so true as the early hours of the day are where I get the most peace and quiet as well as focus and concentration for work done. Here’s how to wake up nice and early, so you can really start that grind
1. SLEEP: We all have been slept deprived and just consciously unconscious, and that is not fun. I hate falling asleep in class, but after an all-nighter, all I need is 5 minutes of straight z, and that five minute turns into forty minutes causing me to not pay attention. Average for a teenager is 8-10 hours so if I want to keep waking up at 6:45 am I would have to sleep at 8:45-10:45 pm which is usually when I am doing homework, so I usually sleep around 12, but those almost 7 hours of sleep are glorious.
2. No Phone Zone: About 2 hours before I intend to fall asleep, my phone’s night light is turned on because the blue light blocks dopamine from making you tired and so using my night light mode makes it better, them 30 minutes before I intend to go to sleep, I put on a guided sleep meditation which lulls me into my stage 5 of NO REM sleep.
3. Motivation: Find a reason to wake up every day, this helps when you’re also not being as productive, but in Economics I learned that the human brain is always looking for incentives or motives to perform any action. So give yourself a reason to get out of bed, for me, it’s usually my bladder, but if I have an exciting class like Stats or Government, I will gladly get out of my bed to go to class.
4. Working Brain: By engaging your brain is some sort of exercises will make getting up easier personally, I use an app called Alarmy which gives me 3 easy two to three-digit math problems, but I am going to step it up, so I will actually get out of my bed now. Maybe have your phone in a locked case where it requires a password to get in, or just put it far away, so you have to walk to it.
