As a kid, I thought that if I learned English I would understand what the units in this game said when you move them around. But for some reason, despite them speaking English most of the time, most of these are still utter gibberish to me.
I don't know why the little Settlers are saying things like "ewol", "fosta" and "pockaster" when I make them do things, it's like they're speaking Simlish.
This is extremely funny because every other language other than English seems to actually have been researched and spoken correctly - as I mentioned before with Morgan's Scottish Gaelic voicelines.
In fact, when I played Challenge or Multiplayer mode as a kid, I used to main the Portuguese because their characters were the only ones I could understand perfectly. What gives?

Fuck customers. At the time of writing this, I work for "Ewol's", and the other day I happened to see a customer throw a package of saw blades on the ground, right in front of me, when they had to wait for service, before storming off and saying they were going to "Dome Hepot". Not only is the whole "You didn't give me what I want so I'm going to your rival!" thing just petulant and childish... really? You had a temper tantrum and threw a product on the ground RIGHT in front of an employee who has to pick up your shit and put it back? Inconsiderate jackass.
Stelzkan had followed the group outside of the city and into the forests through a secret channel from the palace. Leading beneath the near entirety of Light’s Cradle, the labyrinthine passageways seemed to have many exits hidden in plain sight.
Stepping around the bush that served as the portway from this particular underground route, the thief observed curiously as the bronze-skinned mage Marco spoke to waved a hand and revealed a large, stone archway covered in glimmering runes.
“Pandora lead me here in a stupor, I was barely awake and unable to believe what I saw, my lord,” Ewol ran his hand down the black stone, still amazed by it, “She assured me my magics could lead us to safety. For now.”
“Elaborate.” Marco’s eyebrows furrowed at those last two words.
“Oblivion will not stop until it has done away with all in this world. If he ever should discover this gate, the other world beyond will be put in the same grave danger.” The court wizard looked down, depression weighing heavy.
“What are we to do then? We can’t just leave Light’s Cradle to rot!” Mekha, one of Marco’s personal guards, chirped up. His bald head, as well as the large sword upon his back, glimmered in the sunlight pouring between the tree leaves above them.
“We will prepare.” Ewol tossed a satchel to the knight, then revealing several more within his courier’s bag. Opening it, Mekha retrieved a small, yellow gemstone as Ewol continued to explain, “As we are currently, we stand not a chance against a primordial. But given time all will be revealed and Oblivion will be struck down. Pandora assured me this.”
