Hits Platime & Orikami @ Evry Game City

Hi there, This weekend was really exciting for us ! We were at Evry Game City 2 thanks to Hits Playtime that had a stand there. It’s a convention where people go to play games or to discover new games. This year, it was a special “indie game” meeting. There were studios, schools, arcade machines, a twitch event...and us.

And we were there as innocent students that wanted one thing : playtesting.

We felt happiness. We met so many people, and there were just all so sweet. We collected all their feelings through the playtest and they gave us ideas for our game. 

We quickly saw that the paper prototype was fun to play, but difficult to understand at the first time. So we are 200% sure that the tutorial has to be clear as water, as the guideline. We thought that the story will be said once in the beginning of the game. The tutorial will be really present in the level 0, 1 and 2, as the player learn new things about the gameplay.

It was a really good experience that learn us much about the players and their feelings when they play Orikami. 

This experience was impossible without you, so thank you, from the bottom of my heart.
