#listen if you have ANY THOUGHTS AT ALL about Hunter Island EVER#that game was my childhood#Neomonsters could Never#like sorry but Dragon Island Blue and Hunter Island were everything to me#Neomonsters was a mediocre sequel that stripped the previous two of the most basic mechanics#and we all accepted it because what else was there on the phone pokemon clone market?#evocreo? fucking evertale?#(actually evocreo was good even if it did lean waaaay further into being Pokemon#)#but evertale descended into spamming those shitty fake mobile ads everywhere#ANYWAY my point is that Hunter Island was GOOD.#most of the monsters were CATCHABLE#the story wasn’t perfect but it was fun and made sense#the monster designs ruled and the music SLAPPED#not /quite/ as much as DIB but still#please if you remember these games talk to me!!
