ok, first of all this AU is a variation/headcanon of the one shown at the show

this variation is based on the idea that Lunara kept Eclipse with him instead of killing him like in the original, keeping him as a toy or pet.

making Eclipse immortal to be able to do whatever he wants with him without fear of him disappearing or dying, also breaking him in every possible way.

Eclipse ended up forgetting his own name and part of the past, so he ends up thinking his name is Helios and thinks that everything has always been like this.

That there was never a time before the Lunar caught the star.

AU summary: I wanted Eclipse to suffer so I did that. (detail: the bracelets he wears serve as trackers, they also prevent Eclipse from leaving his AU)

I remembered an idea I had a few months ago about Lunera (aka Evil Lunar)

And it was his comment on turning Sun into a monster.

And the thought was “what if he did that to the next person who entered his dimension?”

So

I drew a little something

Mothcode, based on Luna Moth’s

I should post my actual design for him one day but for now we just have a version that was warped in ways that were very painful on purpose.

He was just helping his son test out the portal to make sure everything was alright…he never returned though…and when Eclipse went to go see why…he didn’t return either…

Lunera usually just has him intimidate those who enter his dimension, only really sending Mothcode after them if he grows bored enough…

Unless the person who comes through is an Eclipse.

If he doesn’t want to kill Eclipse himself for whatever reason he makes MothCode do it.

MothCode’s sentience is…probably still there somewhere, just enough to make him suffer. Not like he can communicate, he is based off a Luna Moth after all, and those don’t have mouths

I’m not that good with Monster design but I tried my best!

Gonna post a drawing eventually but I feel like my evil Lunar (SDS; I have two evil Lunars) and @smoljeanius’s evil Lunar would get along so well.

I’m not saying why because that would give away some important SDS lore

But they would get along SO FUCKING WELL I SWEAR-

I keep thinking about that specific moment in the Evil Lunar ep where Lunera (as I’m calling him) said he’d never made anyone into a monster before and thought about doing that to Sun before deciding to kill him instead and the thought came into my head that the next time someone came into that dimension Lunera did just that. Made them a monster.

Now I want to make some art for that idea but I don’t know who it would be or how to draw a monster unless I want to just give them beast like qualities without actually making them a full on monster which feels too boring- only vague idea I have is making them Moth-like because Lunar moth’s

Idk I’ve been having this thought for like 3 months
