Bertie’s Blog and life update

The second chapter is, like... one third done.

My job has been the busiest it’s ever been. I just pulled three 12-hour days in a row and am likely to pull another tomorrow. I have somehow been able to squeeze social commitments around this, and providing ad hoc babysitting for my nieces on the weekends. On top of all this, I am still going through the grief of losing my beloved Frank. Suffice it to say I’m kinda having a not-fun time right now.

Bertie’s Blog is definitely a priority, and it’s going to get done eventually. In a few weeks the worst of the work stuff will hopefully subside, and I’ve decided to bite the bullet and seek a bit of therapy (we have a few low cost options in Australia). But yeah, i’m just a teensy bit exhausted and stressed and strung out at the moment, so a few things will have to take a backseat temporarily 🙃
