The Void

I try to feel something, anything,

Yet, nothing comes to heart,

The emptiness expands and fills me,

Slowly bursting, me apart.

I’m small, yet, endless,

Grand, yet, minuscule,

And filled to the brim of infinity,

With the space that seems to rule.

It lords over my mind,

Reigns over my heart,

Governs over my soul,

And gently tears me apart.

The intangible, tangibly resides,

In every crevice that is me,

Taking up all the room,

Till my emotions are forced to leave.
