this is kinda off plot babes i’m sorry but it’s majority the same thing

-you and harry were definition of high school sweethearts

-sticking with harry through it all since first year you guys made it though the war together side by side

-harry knew he wanted to marry you since fourth year, you were the only person to believe him when everyone else thought he was a snake

-so it’s no surprise you guys got married a few months after the war, you didn’t feel it was the right time to do it right away

-it was a close ceremony and it was wonderful

-okay months later you both have your own place and both are working

-harry is teaching DADA bc that should’ve been cannon tf and you’re teaching charms

-life’s going great both of you are happy and enjoy the married life well

-well,,the conversation of kids hasn’t come up yet, you definitely want kids but aren’t sure if harry does as well right

-so after a particular steamy night after you both snuck out to go drink in the astronomy tower to celebrate life you find yourself late

-i’m talking late LATE and you are SWEATING

-you went to go take a wizard test in the hospital wing and a muffle one just in case and no surprise two little lines are looking at you

-you get so excited but immediately worry that this is too fast and that harry doesn’t want any kids,,i mean it hasn’t been brought up surely it would’ve been by now??

-soso you panic, and distance yourself from him slowly and he notices IMMEDIATELY

-he can’t seem to figure out what the hell happened, i mean you guys were happy?? so what’s wrong??

-days go by and looks at the calendar and realizes you didn’t have your period (bc he’s an attentive husband) and it all clicks

-so that night as you both get ready for a bed he breaks the ice

-“so..when were you going to tell me you’re pregnant?”

-and you’re heart STOPS

-and you freeze and just stare at him not knowing what to say so harry continues

-“do you not want to have a baby with me?” “did i do something?”

-that snaps you out of it quick and you jump on him and clutch his shirt explaining your worries

-you feel harry’s shoulders drop in relief and he pushes you back to grab your face rubbing circles on your cheek bones

-“dove, ofc i wanna have kids with you, you’re the love of my life” and you start BAWLING

-“we may not be ready this exact second, but love i KNOW we got this, i feel it in my bones”

-yeah harry may be scared, he didn’t have his BIOLOGICAL dad growing up but he had arthur, sirius, and remus and they did a pretty damn good job at raising him and considers them just as much as fathers with or without blood

-it’s gonna be tough, you both know that, but you both have a great support system of friends and family to help when needed and you both have each other so that’s all that’s matters
