losing my fucking mind at that post going around rn where someone replied with an essay about how getting a good grade in humanities classes is harder than in math. where did u get ur math degree good sir and can i share in the bad grading standards

#NOT trying to devalue wgs or any humanities/arts here. i think the separation of stem and humanities and arts sucks ass cause theres always #gonna be overlap #HOWEVER #every single college math class ive taken (a lot) is graded p much entirely on 3 tests and if u have 1 (one) bad day u fail the class #meanwhile ur average humanities class u can guarantee at least a b by showing up every day and writing literally anything for an essay #and the idea of stem classes being 'u just regurgitate what u learned' is so. wtf #have u never taken a proofs class. a singular cs class #i havent taken any engineering classes but id imagine u gotta create things beyond the concepts u learned in class. just a hunch
