Scrolling through the Bojack Horseman tag as a narcissist is interesting.
#my posts#every once in a while you see an analysis post where someone pathologizes bojack's behavior#and I mean yeah that man is totally a narcissist but also could you sound a little less#''narcissists hurt everyone on purpose in a scheme to get more supply'' about it?#even bojack himself only hurts people on purpose half the time#like it's worth analyzing how NPD traits can manifest in ways that hurt others#but also don't talk about narcissists like we're just machines that turn unabused people into abused people#also there was a bit about how discussing how NPD traits can motivate abuse is worth it but tbh it'll only work if it's participatory#(participatory as in involves actually listening to pwNPD)#(participatory approaches were a whole thing I learned about in a class focused on social justice)#(the idea is that when you're doing something involving a group you should actually involve the group)#(whether it be passing legislation or developing technology or writing about a group)#(let them participate)#(don't write a half-assed essay about narcissists based on a single [probably shitty] psych class)
