I do think Lucy was at Abstergo for some time before 2010, whether it was 2007* or 2009, however—if she was hired in 2010, that lines up the 6 month to a year timeline Vidic game her for her freedom (and thus, when her co-workers assaulted and attempted to murder her) with right before Clay gets to Abstero (Febuary of 2011) or during Clay's time at Abstergo.

And I think it makes more sense for that to have happened some time before Clay arrives. But. Man that is a different layer of horror to the one where she's been there for ages, I think.

*if Lucy joined Abstergo in 2007, when her friend Leila was still employed there, she would have been 19 while finishing her PhD. However, I don't think AC1 establishes Lucy's age? It isn't in the manual or game, so she might have been intended to be older than 24. If she was 19 when she was finishing her PhD, the only way I can reconcile that would be if she was already in college while she was working with the Assassins, already at a very young age, and that's still pushing it. I do however think it's a valid interpretation of AC1 Lucy. Retcon telephone.
