i said i was going to post my slept on kpop playlist, so here it is!! this is just my favorite boy groups because that’s like...who i listen to lol :) i hope you like it!!

Break Your Rules - The Boyz: idk why but this song reminds me of a montage in a show of a boy falling in love with a girl...basically i just wanna fall in love || ‘my dreams are filled with you all night / now is a chance to make them come true’

Let me hear you say - Seventeen: you know i had to put this in like it’s probably my favorite song from an ode. just the pre-chorus, the chorus, the whole thing...*chef’s kiss*. minghao really shines in this song too (proud of my bby) || ‘i only wish for you yeah / you’re the only one sailing in my heart’

Not Alone - NCT 127: nct is typically known for “noise music”, but i don’t think people really take the time to look into songs like this that are just so pretty and beautiful || ‘even if the black night gets longer / i`m not afraid / embrace my dream more’

Drift Away - Seventeen: this song!! it’s just the sweetest sounding song, like it really is just like honey to me. that’s weird, i know, but it just makes me so happy and reminds me of like walking through a park in spring with flowers on the trees and blowing through the wind || ‘you who’d lean on me during hard times / walking slowly and heavily / and then you became a part of my memories’

Best Friend - NCT Dream: just another cute lil song that’s fun and makes me happy hehe, leave it to the dreamies || ‘you came out a bit late / but I’m used to it / because of you it’s okay yeah’

Playdate - EXO-CBX: omg can someone please just come sweep me off my feet for a casual, fun date in the city...that’s what this song reminds me of ugh i want it so bad!!! || ‘are you ready to be loved? / i'll catch a shooting star / and place it in your hand’

Hello - Seventeen: jun, seokmin, mingyu unit let’s get it!!! i love this song so much, it’s just a great song about having a lil crush and it makes my heart happy..also makes me want someone to have a crush on me like so badly. side note, but can we please talk about mingyu’s part in the bridge??��|| ‘You, more than my heart / i’m curious about your heart / you, from now on / i want our days to be each other’s days’

Get Cool - Stray Kids: just a super fun, chill song to listen to maybe while by the pool or on the beach. this song it suuuch a personality song like it’s so fun || ‘let's not worry so much / just for today’

1 to 10 - Day6: this viiiiibes of this song holy sh*t. and like i don’t know anything about music or anything, but the way the notes sound at the end of the chorus?? are so?? perfect?? like they just sound so great to my ears. is this a normal thing? someone lmk || ‘i know you / no one knows you / nobody loves you / more than me baby’

I Do Love U - Monsta X: yet again just another fun song that makes my heart happy, like i love listening to this song on drives with the windows down. another song about a crush, further proving that i want someone to have a crush on me || ‘i like you, i like you / even explaining it with words, it’s lacking / i love you, love you / expressing these words / i do love you’

Love Me Now - NCT 127: nowowowow yeah, i love this song. it’s a super chill song to listen to and very easy to sing along to, so great for drives. i really love haechan’s voice in this song, he has an add-in during the second chorus, i think, that i really like || ‘when I walk the path, your scent is passing by / so I subconsciously looking for you again / the rain is pouring and it takes me back to that time / on that street where I kissed you’

WITH U - Ateez: so basically this song makes me want to have someone who is in love with me and wants to spend time with me. it is just such a romantic song and i can’t want to be with someone who i’m completely in love with and who is completely in love with me and we slow dance in the living room to this song || ‘do you remember? / the promise I made to you that I would never stop / i'm still walking / no matter what difficulties may interrupt me’

Sun&Moon - NCT 127: this was actually one of the first nct songs i heard!! i really love the pre-chorus of this song, like okay get into it!! very romantic song and imo also pretty sexy vibes || ‘even if you’re in a place / where I can’t touch you / i can feel you’

Love Again - Baekhyun: alright this song...does things to me. like...the lyrics i- maybe it’s because baekhyun is my exo bias, but like...boy can get it...immediately. (also if joshua hong is bored and wants to cover this song...that would be appreciated) || ‘say that you love me again / don't leave me alone baby / just stay for the night baby, yeah’

I Wish - Seventeen: okay so i’ve barely seen anyone talking about this song and uh??? what’s up w that??? this is actually probably my third favorite from heng:garae after l&r and mymy. it really just reminds me of walking down a snowy street at night, hand in hand with the love of your life || ‘sometimes I think of you / i cry and I laugh / i'm trying to erase you / with a broken heart’

Trauma - EXO: bruh the very beginning of this song, i think someone is right in my ear. this song gets me hyped, no lie, like i dance to this in my room like at least five times a week and pretend i’m in a club or something. it’s so fun imo (if nct dream is bored, do they wanna cover?) || ‘the wounds come back to life / i try to avoid them but get hurt every time / i know, it can’t just be me’

Save You - GOT7: hm, i can see this playing when y/n rolls up to jackson wang’s pool party. this is just a super chill, fun song i really like!! also can we talk about that pre-chorus || ‘i'll find you / you don't have to call me / always be with you oh’

Fronting - Seventeen: THIS SONG, i listen to jihoon’s bridge every day and i’m not even kidding. this song is such a bop. this is one of the top kpop songs that gets stuck in my head. honestly, please just look up all of the lyrics to this song because it’s actually very iconic imo || ‘i woke up, even in dreams, baby / i still dream of chasing you, what should i do? / there is no other girl like you / seventeen can’t control these feelings’

Betcha - Baekhyun: this was probably my song of the summer in 2019, i listened to it first thing every single time i got into the car to go anywhere. i can’t even describe like?? why i like it so much?? it just makes me feel special, like if you think about the lyrics while listening...perhaps i feel like the only girl in the world...perhaps || ‘it's just the two of us / what you waiting for? / you're my soul / we're gonna be perfect for each other / i believe it, no doubt’

Network Love - Seventeen: int’l line, let’s get it. this is just a super fun song that (once again) i love just jamming out to in my room. also minghao is super impressive in this song imo :,) || ‘before i meet you / i don’t know where / the world is so big’

See You Again - Monsta X: lowkey, don’t clown me but i’ll listen to this song in the car and pretend my “boyfriend” & i just broke up and i’m driving away from his place. why am i so dramatic, guys i am actually the most dramatic individual on earth. nonetheless, this song is fire (wish hyungwon had more lines but you know...life isn’t fair so) || ‘when I finally open my black eyes now / i end up feeling this void / i beg you to grab my hand / so that I can feel happy again’

#Summervibes - GOT7: they did not lie when they called the song summer vibes, but it really is. this song makes me feel like i’m on a romantic vacation with my “boyfriend” (jinyoung wya) and we’re just having fun in love and OOO possibly we’re dancing with each other late at night at a beach club or something and we’re both a lil tipsy and i’m going to stop before i write a whole scenario (psst i know this is japanese, but still it’s a bop so i included it) || ‘the dazzling prism of a diamond ring is shining on you / the waves ripple disorderly / shooting a cinematic scene so it doesn’t disappear / i wanna let it remain in my heart’

Swimming Fool - Seventeen: y’all knew it was going to be on here like it’s me we’re talking about here. do i even need to explain?? like this song made me a better person and change my life, it is so fun and i want to see it live one day however i know that it’ll never happen, but i can dream. this song is one of the best of seventeen’s entire discography and i just love it so much everyone listen to swimming fool and give it love because maybe if we show it enough love, then perf unit will perform it live again pls pls pls. and also let’s take a moment to discuss the lyrics because this song isn’t simply about some buys having a fun time swimming. no, it’s all a ~metaphor~ because like you’re the pool/water and they’re a swimming fool because they are just so entranced by you and in love with you. and i think that’s beautiful. in this essay i will... || ‘because i’ve fallen for you / i’m drowning in you / my movement becomes slower / and i start to lose my breath / i’m a swimming fool’

K-Pop life lessons (2 year old blog anniverary project)

I believe that music is something that can bring people together. I believe that the musicians we listen too and the things they create can teach us things. This goes for every genre, not just K-Pop. But there is a stigma around K-Pop of it just being men and women dancing around singing about ice cream, rainbows and happiness. It can be that, but it can be incredibly meaningfull and the artists teach us things. 

Here are some things I have learned: 

Monsta X , BTOB and Seventeen taught me that family isn’t just blood, it can go further than that. Your friends can become your family. 

SHINee and VIXX taught me that it’s perfectly fine to go against the grain of what others do. As long as you stay yourself. 

Day6 taught me that it’s okay to feel alone sometimes, but in the end you are never truly alone. 

Sistar, Girl’s Generation, AOA, Mamamoo etc have taught me that it’s okay to be confident and speak my mind when I feel like I am being done wrong.

The girl was tugged to the left by her wrists, her eyes scanning around the new corridor. 'Left' The girl shut her eyes repeating a long sequence of directions in her head 'Two rights, Left, slight right, past the blue door, down one stairca-'

"Sweetie~?" A smooth purr, closer to her ear than expected, made the girl flinch back and open her eyes to glance up. As their eyes met, Baekhyun's hand enclosed around the girl's opposite shoulder, pulling her towards him as they walked, his other hand still tight around her wrists. "What are you murmuring?" 

A shiver down her spine attempted to shake her body, the haunting weight of the man's fingers around her shoulder causing an automatic response. "...I'm sorry" The next shiver that went down her spine, at the snickered laugh that left Baekhyun's lips, was too strong to suppress. Baekhyun's hand gently released its grip and rose from her shoulder to comb back a few strands of her hair. The girl flinched again, pulling her head in the opposite direction to his hand. "It better not have been the directions back to Jongin's room" Baekhyun's voice whispered right into her ear, causing her breath to catch in her throat. The man snickered and grabbed her opposite shoulder again, keeping her from pulling away from him.

"It's one right, two lefts, up one staircase and the 2nd door on the left-oh no, wait.." As Baekhyun finally leaned back, away from her ear, the girl unconsciously followed with her eyes, "...That's my room" With that, Baekhyun's steps came to a sudden stop and the hand on the girl's shoulder gently swung her around till her back to collide with the wall.

"Since Sehun's gone and Chen hasn't shown up yet, I can take some time to show you the way there" Baekhyun whispered with a  sickly-sweet voice. "And maybe time for a few more things, like.." Baekhyun's voice trailed off teasingly, admiring the mortified look on the girl's face before pressing his lips to the corner of her own "the kinds of things you must have done with Jongin, hmm?" A weight formed in the pit of the girl's stomach. "Uh, I-I already-" Baekhyun didn't let the girl finish before pressing another kiss to her lips. "I think I could do a better job training you... don't you think?"

"Baekhyun, that's enough" A voice called from further down the hall, surprising the girl who looked in the direction it had come from, but didn’t so much as make Baekhyun blink.

Baekhyun scoffed, his breath fanning over the girl's neck as he rolled his eyes "Of course you show up now"

The man who the girl remembered as Chen approached with a small scowl directed towards the other man, not acknowledging the girl rapped between the wall and Baekhyun.  "We still need her relatively innocent so refrain from harassing her too much"

Baekhyun let out a small sigh, opposite to his previously hostile reaction to the other man and pulled the girl from the wall. "Yeah yeah, just take her, will you?" Baekhyun roughly shoved the girl towards the other man, making her stumble forward. Before she could fall, two hands balanced her by the arms, the short distance she had stumbled between Baekhyun and Chen saving her fall.

"If that's all then" Baekhyun turned on his heel, heading back in the direction they had come, leaving the girl with Chen.

"This way" Chen released the girl's arms, directing her in the opposite direction with a gesture. Timidly, the girl nodded and continued to follow Chen down the hall.

Much like the hall she vaguely recalled whilst being carried by Jongin, the hall was a dark cement colour with steel doors divided down the corridor.

"W-what is this place.." the girl couldn't help but mumble in concern, multiple ideas about what they hid behind the steel doors raiding her imagination..

"It's where we keep all of you" The calm voice from beside her, made the girl jump not expecting him to hear her thoughtless comment, let alone confirm one of the horrible answers she had imagined.

"Herd up like little sheep, don't you think?" The chuckle that followed would have been considered quite normal, if not charming, had he not said such a creepy thing before it. The girl shrunk back a little under Chen's laughter, not wanting to know any more of what went on in his head. Silently walking half a step behind the man, the girl tried to push her hair away from her face, the strands tickling her noes and cheeks occasionally as they continued to stubbornly get in the way.

"145. here" Chen's voice broke the girl from her thoughts, his hand reaching back to grab her wrists gently, tugging her towards the door he stopped at. Like the ones she had seen all down the hall, the steel door showed no difference to every other she had seen except the small number engraved above the handle. Chen unlocked the door with a key connected to a large ring with hundreds of identical of keys. The lock unlatched with a rustle clink before Chen pulled the steel door open by the handle.

Gesturing with a small head movement for the girl to go in, Chen fiddled with the keys before looking back at the girl. "You'll be in here till the auction Sehun decides to put you up at. It'll probably be ta couple after the next so you have a while to get used to..." Chen trailed off, making the girl peaked up from under the stray strands of hair that refused to stay tucked behind her ear. The blank stare on Chen's face made the girl blink and start to divert her eyes, not wanting to upset him more than he already appeared to be. But before she could, Chen reached out and grab a hold of her collard shirt. Pulled forward by the action, the girl shut her eyes on instinct waiting for him to hit her, toss her back or something more creepy like Baekhyun went for.

"that's probably annoying" But instead of either, the girl felt the man hold something in front of her eyes. "A-a hairpin..?" The girl stuttered, still in Chen's hold that he seemed oblivious to how rough it was. "Don't let the others seen it" was all he said before dropping the pin into the girl's shirt pocket. Without another word, Chen stepped back into the hallway and closed the steel door without even glance. The rusty metal clink of the lock rung around the small cell.

From the corner of the small bricked in room, she couldn't tell if time was passing slowly as it felt it was or otherwise. The silence left her with her thoughts. Her mind first wandered back to hours before with Jongin. Remembering all the words he had whispered into her ear and where his hands had reached before Baekhyun and Sehun had stormed in- Quickly shaking her head, the girl felt almost disgusted at the first thoughts she had when finally alone. Because she had fallen to sleep, willingly and not, on a few occasion She didn't even know how long it had been since she was first snatched from the 'detective's car. Surely, someone from her class would have noticed her missing by now and had people searching for her. She thought of Jongin before even thinking what was going to become of her. But despite her attempts to divert her thoughts from Jongin and his gentle fingers, soft voice and every moment they had spent together, they wouldn't move aside. Her attachment to the man had grown severely. He was no longer someone she just looked to when she needed damage control but now he was someone who had kissed her and stolen a part of her heart.  Staring down at her bound wrists she fought back the urge to cry fruitlessly.

Whilst only the small hiccups and soft cries filled the room a sharp noise broke slice through the room, leaving only stunned silence.

The rustle click of the lock being unlatched  sent a loud chalky crack echoing through the small enclosure.  The sound suffocated her, echoing in her head over and over.

"I must have heard wrong..."

But the sound still echoed in her mind,long past the time it dissolved into the room, as clear as day. With sweaty palms, the girl cautiously scooted over to the metal door that had been unlocked with no result.

She felt the skin on her knees break a little from the rough cement ground, but her mind was too plagued with the click of the door unlocking and confirming whether she had really lost her mind.

As she stopped before the door, her left hand slowly reached up to rest on the handle,  waiting with sweat to test if it would turn. Worried that her timing would be wrong, the girl put her ear to the door, listening for any footsteps or sign that someone might be behind it. but she heard none. Whether that was because of the thickness of the metal door or if there was no movement on the other side, she had no clue.

"W-where would I even go..?" The girl had only seen parts of what seemed the be the large estate that extended underground and had no idea where an exit would even be. Even with the door unlocked she knew it wouldn't be the only obstetrical to escaping the place.

Despite the caution alarms going off in her head, the girl gently pulled the door open. The hinges creaked painfully loud, making the girl’s whole body freeze in fright for a second. After steadying her breath she pushed the door wide enough for her to slip out.

The eerie concert hall felt larger than before, making the girl look both ways down the hall for some time before even thinking of moving a muscle.

Walking in the direction she had been lead by Chen, the girl constantly glanced over her shoulder and tried to make her steps as light and soundless as possible. Just as she remembered, the hall seemed to go on forever, making her heart go wild in her chest imagining how much longer she would have to endure the eerie silence. Despite that she barely even know where she was going.

The girl approached The first two-way turn that ended the long hall she had been locked in. Looking back, all the mental doors looked so similar that even if she wanted to go back, she wouldn't be able to tell which one she had been inside.

Directions that she had been so memorising surfaced as she looked between the left and right turns. The girl, confident in her memory, turned right, deciding the only way she could have a chance at getting out would be to find her way back to Jongin's room. Following the directions she had memorised 'one right and two lefts' she reached the staircase faster than it had taken her to walk to the end of that hall

Taking a deep breath the girl clutched onto the railing, taking the stairs up from the cement walls and eerie hallways into the nicer upper ground level.

"2nd door on the left..." uttering the last direction the girl stared down the hall before taking a step onto the push corridor rug that ran down the hall with only two doors.

With each step closer she got the second door on the left, her head flooded with doubt again, nagging at her till her feet came to a stop just before the door.

How, why did she even trust Jongin?  The girl rethought the logic in what she was doing, getting a chance to escape and immediately running back to one of her captors.  Why did she blindly make her way back to his room? Because he had helped her a few times? He was still apart of her kidnapping and involved in the mafia despite the affection she felt from him. "Why..why the heck did I come here.." the girl felt another strong breakdown surfacing, staring with the familiar sting at her eyes.

The door she was standing close to opened suddenly, making the girl stumble back slightly. "J-jongin-" As the girl looked up the name caught in her throat. Stepping back again, she shook her head , suddenly remembering the directions she had followed.  

"Don't tell me you really remembered the direction here rather then to Jongin's room" Baekyun grab a hold of the girl's arm, staring down at her darkly. "I can't tell if your stupid for following directions to my room or smart for getting out of your cell"   

Baekhyun let out a deep chuckle, pulling the girl with him back down the hall. "If we're lucky, you really will be thrown over to me"

Instead of being lead back down the stairs Baekhyun took the girl further into the main building. He walked too quickly for her to even be able to look at her surroundings or remember the directions back. Only getting to feel disgusted at the expensive looking area compared to underground where she was stored for the short time.  Stopping suddenly in one of the halls, Baekhyun opens one of two large wooden French doors, pushing her into the room before him. As the girl was lead in further by Baekhyun she noticed the room was occupied .The young,tall looking man sat behind the large oak wooden desk, stopped in the middle of talking to Sehun, Chen and Jongin who turned to look over. not wanting to see the expressions she geussed would be on the other two men’s faces, the girl felt a sting in her chest when her eyes met those of Jongin’s, more so when his eyes slightly narrowed upon seeing her. "Guess who I found outside my door" Baekhyun sung, pushing the girl further into the room with a tight grip, stopping her to stand between Jongin and Baekhyun, in front of the desk and important man who sat behind it.

Upon the girl stopping beside him Jongin quickly shot a glare towards Baekhyun and gently, as if unconsciously, placed a comforting hand on the girl’s forearm. 

Jongin snapped before the man behind the desk even had a chance to speak. "Then why'd you bring her here?! You should have just put her back" Jongin 

"That's not the point, Jongin" Baekhyun hissed back, redirecting his eyes back to the man behind the desk. "Chanyeol, we need to get rid of this girl"  Baekhyun spoke, the man behind the desk didn't respond but only briefly glanced at the girl.

"If she got out of the cell then that's Chen's fault, isn't it?" Jongin argued after seeing the Chanyeol’s conflict. His hand on her lower arm tightened slightly as if reassuring her he was there.

"My fault? I locked the door. How am I supposed to know if she somehow got out?" Chen scoffed before looking at Sehun "Besides, isn't she Sehun's find?"

Sehun heaved a sigh before rubbing his temples with his index finger and thumb. "I think Baekhyun is right, this girl is getting annoying"

A cough from the man behind the desk finally brought their attention forward again. Chanyeol, who seemed to have the most authority, stared at the girl for a moment before finally speaking.

"How did you get out?" The girl hesitated slightly, knowing her answer would sound extremely suspicious. "T-the door just unlocked by it’s self..and it opened.." she hadn't meant for her voice to come out so weak but under the stares of all four mean, cracked. "It unlocked by its self?" Chanyeol looked most utterly unconvinced with her answer,  just she had thought.

"Well, how else would she have gotten out..? You don't seriously think she could have broken out" Jongin defended the girl once again, not only making the girl look at him but the other three men as well.

The short silence was broken when Chen stepped over to Jongin and the girl, shifting everyone's attention over to him. "It's possible. She could have picked the lock" Jongin scoffed at the other "With what?"

The girl flinched as Chen got closer, remembering back to when he had casually grabbed her by the shirt and... Her eyes suddenly widened. she recognised the small scheming smile on the corner of his lip before he plucked out a hairpin from her shirt pocket.

"A hairpin like this would have been perfect"

A lot of these opinions boil down to “everybody is so obsessed with ending battles as fast as possible they forget that sometimes you HAVE to go long and up-front burst isn’t always the best gameplan”, just in various flavors of underrated tdoll archetype

also i’m super cheating because this is about a lot more than 5 tdolls, it was hard to narrow it down to 5 because of how weapons in GFL kinda exist in archetypes, so it’s more like “top 5 most underrated skill archetypes in gfl”

5. M1911 and M9

OK, maybe I’m just sentimental about my preferred CoD WW2 sidearm. Maybe so. But.

Most of the time, when we pick handguns, we look for dolls whose skills match their tile buffs - Calico and Grizzly being great examples. Handguns have extremely strong buffs as a result, with their tiles already being much more powerful than any other weapon type to begin with and their skills stacking multiplicatively. For some weapon types or team compositions, this makes sense, particularly for RFs that rely on that multiplicative scaling to tear through powerful enemies. 

But you don’t always need that much scaling. Overkill doesn’t help you, and a lot of weapons risk hitting the RoF cap if you layer too many buffs on at once. This is a part of why we tend not to put HGs on ARSMG teams during the day - ARs kind of already hit their peak potential without help. But sometimes we need HGs for night battles, right? 

M1911 and M9 are unique among HGs for having very powerful skills normally reserved for SMGs - M1911 has a smoke grenade, and M9 has a stun grenade. Both of these are really strong survivability tools, and ARSMG teams sometimes become accustomed to having them, but it gets trickier at night when most players want to replace one of their SMGs with an HG for visibility reasons. 

The primary difficulty with these guns is that their formation buffs are designed for back-line placement, not front-line, so... it actually kind of makes sense to use 2SMG 1HG 2AR, which might sound bad at first (2 AR

tl;dr M1911 and M9 are unique among HGs for their much stronger utility skills, which can be really helpful on night ARSMG teams, but also very strong on RFHG if you’re willing to give up one of your other HG spots. 

4. 100 Shiki (ARSMG Shield Setups)

While I admit I haven’t finished raising mine, I’m confident enough in the theory to put her on this list. 

What’s the problem with 100Shiki? I dunno, honestly, perception? Image? I guess you look at her skill and go “wait, 8s initial cooldown? Her shield maxes at only 42 hp? That’s it?” but no, the skill description doesn’t stop there. 100Shiki’s shield is, basically, a free hit. She gets to dodge one more attack than her Evasion stat would normally allow - maybe even more than one, against enemies with lower FP. 

If someone shoots her shield, she gets a 65% Evasion steroid, further boosting her survivability. That might not sound like a lot, but remember that evasion has diminishing returns; with an adequately enhanced exo (even an X-type, for reasons I’ll mention in a second) she reaches the 90s before her skill activates and around 150 afterward, before accounting for fairy or formation buffs. That gives her a dodge rate of 90% against most enemy units and gives her a decent chance to dodge Jaegers and other massive-accuracy enemies.

By pairing 100Shiki with other dolls with similar abilities to shield their allies - MDR’s skill giving her a massive 80% bonus evasion and a 40 HP shield at 4 seconds, and 64Shiki providing either additional offensive ability or additional shields at 8 seconds - 100Shiki becomes much, much tankier than most other SMGs, and in longer fights against huge streams of infantry, boss enemies or even armor, her ability to repeatedly shrug off stray lucky shots makes her a very consistent main tank. 

tl;dr 100Shiki can rely on her base evasion or good kiting for the first 8 seconds of a battle and is rewarded by becoming WAY tankier than she has any right to be afterward, especially when you layer similar skills on top of her from her allies.

3. STG44 (High-Explosive Grenade ARs)

Generally speaking, when we talk about good grenade ARs, it’s assumed we’re talking about Anti-Personnel grenades - SOP and 416 being the most well-known of these, but that also includes G3, ARX-160, AR70, and XM8. These grenades have a long initial cooldown but deal a huge amount of damage in a moderate area, something like 10-12x the doll’s base damage. 

HE grenades are obviously much weaker, but hit a much wider area. These grenades tend to be completely ignored in terms of viability. I think this is a mistake. 

In a side-by-side comparison of a level 100 XM8 and a level 100 FAMAS, most of the time, their skills aren’t even a factor - in which case XM8 might win out because of her more balanced statline, but obviously that doesn’t make FAMAS an inferior doll by itself. Their skills only really begin to matter when you reach a point where you’re fighting a large crowd of high-level enemies, the sort of encounters that actually take 8 seconds or more to clear in the first place. 

That’s important enough to be worth repeating: the difference between grenade ARs doesn’t matter at all until they actually get their grenades off - which only actually happens in battles where those ARs are actually being pushed to their limits. Endgame content. Right? 

So let’s consider an event like Singularity ranking, mobs of high-level infantry are very common. XM8 will deal something like 575 damage at base with her grenade in an area of 1.5 meters, which is excellent, and will definitely kill any basic mobs Sangvis are throwing at her. STG doesn’t even deal half that much damage at the center of her grenade, so she has very little kill potential at base. But what if we include formation and equipment bonuses?

See, the only way grenades can be made “better” is by giving them more damage, but in the case of AP grenades, they already do enough to flatten most rank and file enemies, so there’s not really much you can do to improve them. They’re plug-and-play, but that limits their potential. HE grenades, however, can deal way more damage if you push them hard enough. 

Not sure I could recommend this exact formation, but a formation like this - using HG-boosting skills such as Ribey’s or Grizzly’s, stacking multiple FP boosts, and possibly even an FP-oriented Fairy - can push a grenade like STG’s much, much further. With a powerful enough Fairy attached to this team, STG can deal almost as much damage as XM8 in an area almost twice as big. 

Of course, you could simplify things even further by just using two HE grenades - this formation but with FAMAS at the bottom will wipe a field pretty much instantly at the 8second mark against anything that isn’t heavy armor. 

tl;dr HE grenades aren’t as easy to use as AP grenades but have a much higher potential if you build around them. Also, STG44 MOD3 is terrifying. Just throwing that out there. 

2. Bren MOD3 

Did nobody read Bren’s mod3 details during the public vote??? No??? Who’s- who’s m14?? 

First of fucking all, Bren gains a massive 8 points of max FP throughout her Mod3 - 7 of which are in the first 10 levels, so it’s not like they’re hard to get. That by itself gives her one of the highest FP ratings of any MG available in NA right now, only surpassed by M2HB and narrowly edging her ahead of staple MGs like M1918, PK, PKP, LWMMG, etc. That’s so much by itself. 

The price of Bren’s massive strap energy raw firepower is her magazine size, which is among the lowest among all MGs, but her skill does kinda make up for that, and I know I’m not going to convince anybody here that doesn’t already believe me, but an MG needing to reload to clear an encounter doesn’t automatically kill their viability. MGSG teams can still function in long battles if they’re built at least semi-defensively. 

Meanwhile, Bren Mod3′s passive skill further increases her ammo capacity on every reload, and her special equip further increases her FP. What more could you possibly want? How about accuracy.

Bren’s base accuracy is so high that, during the day, you can easily run a critical sight instead of an EOT, which is a significant jump in damage potential. PKP and Negev also share this trait, and I find it’s very unfortunate how little it’s talked about, because it really does make a huge different in their damage output. But Bren’s mod skill grants her even more accuracy on reload, and her unique equip is a FP-boosting MARs scope, giving her even more accuracy. After one reload, Bren’s accuracy with a maxed special equip is, at minimum, 73. 

Seventy. Bren is as accurate as an RF. 

Accuracy is often thought of as a wasted stat a lot of the time, but it’s incredibly important for MGs for two reasons - the first being their consistency during the day, and the second being their versatility at night. Bren is so fucking accurate that, even at night, she can match RF teams’ accuracy while absolutely shaming them in actual damage output, and that makes her incredibly powerful for lategame night maps where you can’t be sure whether you’re wandering into enemy armor or a bunch of infantry. Night battles are often the ones where MGs are most likely to need to reload anyway, and that’s where a reload-stacking MG like Bren shines.

tl;dr NOT EVERYTHING IS ABOUT RAW DAMAGE OUTPUT YOU IDIOTS HAVE YOU EVER EVEN TRIED RUNNING MGSG AGAINST INFANTRY AT NIGHT DO YOU REALIZE HOW IMPRESSIVE 70+ ACCURACY IS

1. Mosin-Nagant

It’s so easy to misunderstand how powerful Mosin-Nagant is, so I totally get it. I talked about this some way back when I was still doing TDoll analyses on the sideblog, but I don’t think I had actually ever seen her full potential before, and since then I’ve played multiple events with Mosin taking the role of full-on boss annihilator and oh. my. god. 

You look at Mosin-Nagant on paper. You see a very middling FP stat of 131. Good, but not stellar. You see a very weak RoF stat of 30; that’s a strong negative. Her Steady Shot skill is unremarkable. Nothing about it could make her a definitively better choice than Springfield - who has the same skill, scarcely any less FP, and can fire much faster. You see a doll who is outclassed not only by other archetypes, but by her peers within her own archetype. 

And yet I’m going to insist that Mosin-Nagant might be the best boss-killing RF in the game. Better than M99 or NTW-20, better than IWS2000 or M200, better even than TAC-50. Not because she outdamages them; because she outdances them. 

Mosin-Nagant and Springfield both have access to a powerful special equip; where Springfield’s makes her more of a well-rounded DPS weapon with an optional damage nuke (and holy shit she’s good, you guys, she’s VERY good), Mosin-Nagant’s instead doubles down on her niche. In addition to a very impressive critical damage steroid and a mostly pointless evasion boost, the Hayha memory chip grants Mosin a terrifying +30 FP at max, pushing her into a very different category of RF. Rifles don’t normally have the means to boost their FP through equipment, so this is a very special distinction for the russian marksman rifle, effectively elevating her from “small bamboo” to “large bamboo” except with a shorter initial cooldown because fuck you.

But I think the most important part of the Hayha chip isn’t what it gives Mosin - it’s what it doesn’t take away. The Hayha chip allows Mosin-Nagant to wield her fullest potential in both critical strikes and raw firepower without losing any of her mobility. RFs’ base 7 mobility is enough to dodge Gager’s attacks as long as you’re quick on the draw, and that makes Mosin uniquely qualified against a lot of the game’s toughest bosses. 

In terms of damage potential, Mosin’s base attacks are a little lacking, but that’s fine; in battles where you need to be moving around and dodging AOE attacks, you don’t want limited duration DPS abilities where you can wind up wasting your damage against random attacks or unexpected forcefields. You do have to learn to activate Mosin’s skill manually (note to self: turn her back to forced manual) but, with a little bit of practice and some good teambuilding, you’ll find that she’s an incredibly effective bossing doll that can be relied on when specialized gimmick compositions like TAC-50′s just can’t quite cut it.

Part 14 - Part 16

Jies’ eyes widened at his sudden suggestion. This....no, it wouldn’t even work. They are Purebloods for fucks’ sake, it wouldn’t work. It’s impossible. That couldn’t happen.

“Do you even know what you’re stating? They can’t be killed, you know that.” She expresses, breathing a bit heavily.

“No, they can be. They just never told anyone about it, no one knows. Until you figure it out yourself.” He explains and continues. “Unless they are in a pack, they can be killed. You just have to pull them apart.”

She freezes. Then it was another lie again, that she was told about Purebloods. She remembered Minseok telling her that it was difficult to kill them, almost to the point of not being able to. Of course, they are Purebloods. A powerful rank and race of vampires. But that doesn’t mean that they can’t have weaknesses and flaws, especially with their unquenchable thirst.

Lie.....

But...how exactly did he....see it? “How....do you know?” She asks.

How did he figure it out? That they can be killed?

“A few months after I became like them, they told me that Purebloods couldn’t be killed. I’m guessing the same thing they told you too, I found out when Luhan hyung was feeling somehow sick, even though I’ve been feeding him my blood, he still didn’t feel well. I didn’t really knew at that time, I was still new to it.

Until it happened again, but I wasn’t with him, I was with Kyungsoo hyung and Jongin, hyung became sick too but he did a great job in hiding it and in time, the others too tried to hide it but I soon caught on their act. Because of the connection between the ‘pack’, they needed to be together at all times, especially since it makes them stronger.

I never really thought much about it, I always thought it was just me thinking too much. It wasn’t possible anyway, Purebloods can’t really be killed. But maybe they can....

Maybe they can be killed....if we can pull them apart far from each other. Maybe that will work....”

“Are you sure it will work?”

“I’ll admit, I don’t know but we can....try on this one....”

“I-It’s risky.....we might end up...”

“We don’t have much options unless Tao hyung has other.”

“We’ll have to wait until he gets back here.”

“It will be a long time, months even.”

“Then....h-how will we-“

“We do it ourselves.”

A silence lands between them. None would come out of it. How could they really? How could they kill them themselves? Obvious reason, they are fucking Purebloods that could kill them easily in one bite. They are powerful, powerful enough to just bring them down by one touch.

Maybe when they are together, in a pack. But then again, everyone has weaknesses. Even of they are one of the most powerful creatures of all. The connection....the bond.....

Maybe it can be broken.....

“W-We should maybe-“

“Go back?” Sehun asks, Jie slowly nodded, swallowing a saliva. Sehun scoffed, taking a few steps towards her and towering slightly. Feeling a bit intimidated by his figure, she looks down and swallows another saliva.

“Why go back when we’re out here, Jie? I’ll admit, maybe killing them wouldn’t end their lives’ as quick as it could but we can definitely get away from here just like you said.” He says, his expression softened afterwards. “If we get away from these guys then, it will maybe take a long time again to try and find someone for the sacrifice, we could just get out now.”

Quickly shaking her head, disagreeing with his suggestion. This isn’t the best option to choose, instead of surviving through it, they would most likely end dead and the sacrificed sooner than usual. The fear was building up slowly and slowly inside of her as much as she wanted to get out of this but they needed to choose the right path and decision to survive through this.

“Sehun-ah, no, it isn’t that easy! They’ll try and find us, they won’t give up unless it’s no longer possible to catch back, we’ll still be sacrificed either way! We have to blend through this for now and then maybe....m-maybe we can-“

“Can what? Spit it.”

Looking at him, swallowing a stray saliva down her dry throat as she utters his former suggestion earlier. “Maybe....we can try and...kill them....just like you said before....” she lets out, admitting it to him and waiting for his response. These options will not be easy, especially with trying to pull them apart to weaken the bond. Purebloods. You can’t kill them easily now, can you?

“Sehun-ah, we have to think about this first....we can’t just go in it recklessly...okay? We need to....get through this....place..”

Sehun smiled softly at her, she’s changed quite a bit. “Says you.” He says, confusing her. “What?” Sehun makes her remember again from before. “You were so reckless before when I met you, now you’ve changed...I guess if you were like before, you would have opted to escape when you’ve got the chance.” He explains, slightly chuckling at the fond memory.

Remembering her actions, she smiled fondly. “Was I really that stubborn?” Sehun nodded at her question. Looking back at the house, they both agreed and came on to terms. They would have to stay in that place until they have a plan or until Tao comes in and gives them sign or what they should do. Sehun looks back at her, slightly curious. “Can they....hear us?” Jie swallows a saliva. “I hope not.”

“Ah, you’re back. How’s the little walk?” Jongdae surprises them, a cheerful smile on his face. Sehun gives him a small smile before answering. “Breathtaking, hyung. Nice to get some fresh air every once in a while.” He says. Jie puts on a fake act, smiling as well.

They needed to try and pretend without having to give themselves away.

Jongdae smiles again. “That’s good, oh and Jie? Yixing hyung was looking for you, he’s in his room. As always if you want to see him.” She glanced over at Sehun who seemed to not care at all. Jongdae then left the place, leaving her and Sehun alone, he turned to her and it was evident that he was questioning her if she will be going to Yixing or not. He didn’t need to tell her.

She responds to him. “I don’t know.” Sehun reaches for her hand, holding it gently. “Jie-ah, be careful then.” He softly pleaded, giving her a small smile. Looking at him, Jie sighs a bit before pulling her hand away and heading to Yixing’s room.

Going through the dimly lit hallway, she sees from her peripheral vision that the Red Moon is still clear. She already felt that it was somehow apart of her. Everywhere she goes, it’s always there and from the distance, the faint howl of werewolves outside. She didn’t want to do it. This is making herself disappear. She then remembered it.

That so called dream, or could you even call it a dream in itself. She breathes a bit heavily before shaking her head slightly and trying to fight off the blush that was rushing through her cheeks after that ‘dream’.

She needed to think of a plan to escape from this hell hole of a place. She needed to get out of here along with Sehun, far away from here. All of it. She didn’t notice that she was only standing and not moving until Kyungsoo sees her ahead of the hallway, curious. Tilting his head slightly, he calls out to her softly and walks towards her, catching her attention. “Jie? Is everything alright?” He asks, standing infront of her.

She gulps and looks at him before directly averting her gaze to the ground. “Y-yes....I’m fine, I’m sorry.” She mumbles a bit before clearing her throat and saying it again. “I’m okay.” Looking at her up and down, she could tell he was trying to read her. She tries to compose herself, seeming to not hide anything. As well as trying to block out her mind.

Don’t let him in.......

Trying to breathe evenly, Kyungsoo leans closer to her. The blank, lifeless look in his eyes made it more frightening for her but she tries to remain her composture to not give herself away.

She feels him reading her mind as she tries to empty it and make it all blank. No suspection inside. Swallowing a saliva down her dry throat, she only hears his voice inside her head before he disappeared.

Don’t even try......

Breathing instantly heavier than usual, she falls to her knees, clutching to her chest as it tightens, making her unable to breathe. Coughing and gasping, images started to flash infront of her, bloodied and broken. And then, she saw herself. Infront of her. Covered in a blood bath, along with a sinister smile on her face, her eyes a strong crimson color as blood comes out from her mouth. And she hears her voice call out to her, it wasn’t her normal voice.

It felt like someone was inside of her.

“Jie-ah.....will you.......get away from me?” Her otherself looked at her with death in her eyes as she walked closer towards her. Raising her hand slowly towards Jie and caressing her cheek, leaving a small blood line on her skin as Jie could only look at her otherself in horror.

Was this her if she wouldn’t be able to escape from the sacrifice? Would she end up like this? A Bride to be sacrificed.

Get away from me......

She opens her eyes and sits up sharply from the bed, panting slightly before seeing Yixing infront of her. “Jie? Are you okay?” She couldn’t answer much, only managing a small grunt from a sudden pain in her stomach to which she didn’t how she got it. She tries to soothe it with her hand, pushing it slightly only realizing as the metallic smell hit her. Blood.

She backs her hand off and sees a speck of blood on it, Yixing quickly puts his hand on her unknown wound, healing it before looking back at her with a gentle expression. “Are you okay?” He asks again, Jie nodded slowly, looking away from him. Blinking her eyes.

“Jie, look at me.” Yixing demands but she wouldn’t do so. She didn’t obey him. Not after what has happened, possibly before. Was it a dream or something else?

Feeling his hand on her jaw and turning to her face to him gently, she instantly closed her eyes and blocked him out. Yixing clearly did not understand why she was doing this but he wanted to know why. “Jie-ah, what is it? Why are you like this? Did something happen?”

Yes.....

Then tell me.....

She didn’t realize until he spoke to her through their minds. She mentally facepalmed at her action.

It’s nothing.....

Tell me....now......

Please.....I-It’s-

Jie. Tell me.

She sighs deeply before opening her eyes and meeting his gentler ones. Gulping a bit, she reached for his hand that was on her jaw softly and squeezed it slightly. “What was it all?” She finally asks him. Yixing furrows his brows in confusion, not knowing exactly what she was meaning. “What do you mean?” He pushes her a bit further.

“That-that.....a-act we did....before.....when I-I.....” she couldn’t really find the right expression to describe it to him. Maybe it was really just a dream then. Maybe it was just a dream that became too real for her to understand. Her thoughts were stopped suddenly when Yixing closed the small gap between their lips, taking her by surprise as she tries to register what was happening just by now. Letting out a small whimper, she clenches the clothing that was covering him as he pushes slightly towards her, wanting more. Caressing her cheek as well as keeping his other hand by her waist, pulling her closer. When he pulled away, leaning his forehead against her gently, Jie closed her eyes, panting slightly.

“Did you think it was a dream?” He asks, inching closer to her neck, his hot breath fanning over it and it made a slight arousal form between her legs. “Y-Yixing, please....” Jie pleaded a bit, keeping her hands on his shoulders and squeezing them a bit.

“Can I have a bite?” He whispers to her, waiting for her permission until she noded and allowed him to feed from her. Feeling his sharp fangs on her skin and piercing through it, she yelped slightly followed by a whimper. Her hands still on his shoulders but she could feel one of his hands caressing her thigh and moving it closer to her hips. Letting out a breathy moan, she tilts her head slightly to make more room for him, allowing him easy access as well as control.

When he was done feeding from her, he wipes the remaining blood on the sides of his mouth, licking the excess blood away. He puts his hand on her neck wound and heals it, leaning back to her and kissing her cheek. She blushes slightly from the sudden action and averts her gaze to her legs.

Jie?

She looks at him.

“She’s planning something.....”

“That fucking bastard!”

“As if the threats and the kills weren’t enough, he’ll never give up. He won’t stop this.”

“We have to do this quick.”

“But we have to wait for a few more days, hyung.”

“No, at this point, we can’t wait any longer, before we know it, they’ll escape from us. It’ll take us another century to find the right one again.”

“Hyung, there’s one problem.”

“What?”

“One of us is getting a bit too close to her, I’m sure you know who, hyung.”

“He’ll ruin everything......keep an eye on him, you know how he is.”

“I will, hyung. But what about him? What will we do about him?”

“We’ll have to deal with him first.”

The Red Moon shines ever brightly in the sky. The wind blowing through the trees and swaying them slightly, Tao walks through the forest. Looking at the moon, he sighs heavily before sitting himself down on the ground and relaxing a bit. He could only hope that both Jie and Sehun were okay but in time, the others might catch up and they might be in danger. After all those death threats and obstacles, he still didn’t care. This needed to stop. All of it, completely.

A sudden scent hits his nostrils, he sniffs the air a couple of times before standing up from his place and turning around. “Sending me a gift, huh? How nice.” He says to himself, smirking a bit before trying to find the smell. After a few steps, he stumbles upon it.

A dead wolf on the ground, bleeding from the neck and two of its’ limbs, torned and ripped apart. He stood over it, staring at its’ corpse, clenching his fist. He lifted his head, looking ahead of him. “If you think sending me something like this will make me stop, you’re fucking wrong.”

Smiling, he knelt down to the corpse. “Since you always send me such gifts, I should pay you up with something even more grateful.” His eyes turned gold before transforming into a wolf and letting out a loud howl into the night.

Hearing the loud howl from the distance, Sehun looks at the Red Moon. Now knowing everything that was hidden away from him.

This place was all a lie...... and I....... fell for all of it.....
