LOVER ERA 🌈 WARDROBE MASTERPOST
Taylor in Entertainment Weekly, during the Lover era
Easter eggs can be left on clothing and jewelry. This is one of my favorite ways to do it because you wear something that foreshadows something else. And people don’t usually find out this one immediately but they know you’re probably sending a message. They’ll figure it out in time.
Note: This masterpost will export both the vibrant rainbows present during the era, and the far more serious tones that eventually crept in, with more dark blacks toward the latter half of the era.

Hairstylist Tanisha Meeks did some sorcery to create a curly, red bob with Halle Bailey’s locs for the Met Gala! Whoa!
Chloe Bailey sang her heart out at the Essence Black Women In Hollywood Awards in 2023 with this intricate updo!
The sister duo walked hand-in-hand at The Earshot Prize event in 2022. Both of them had honey-blonde looks, but styled differently. We love individuality!
Chloe has sported blonde locs for a while now! In 2021, she added bedazzled edge extensions to the side of her face. How cool!
Now this is how you transform into a character! Halle wore her locs in flowing, hobo red locs to look like our version of Ariel for The Little Mermaid premiere.
Halle’s loc mohawk was super cute for Paris Fashion Week in 2022!
We’re obsessed! This honey-blonde braided halo and loc combination updo was fabulous for the Black Panther: Wakanda Forever premiere!
Matching high ponytails? Check! The Bailey sisters have perfected the twinning, yet personalized hairstyles.
Halle stuck with her natural hair color but added some extensions to make this beautiful fishtail braid with curly pieces to frame her face.
This is art, honey! Chloe’s locs were styled into this puff updo for the 2022 Academy Awards.
Okay, ponytail! This side pony is so unique and fun for The Little Mermaid premiere in Australia.
This is how you show up to a fashion show! This innovative, blonde, twisted loc ‘do on Chloe was a moment!
Don’t we all love the classic red carpet bun with a bang? Yes, yes we do!
Bedazzled bangs? Yes, please! This messy bun for a Bulgari event in 2021 was made for the superstar!
Wow, wow, wow! Halle and Chloe attended The Hollywood Reporter and Jimmy Choo Power Stylists Dinner with the iconic stylist Zerina Akers. These braided beehive styles are breathtaking!
Only an It girl like Chloe could pull off this bold ponytail! The silver detailing around the pony was killer!
Here’s some appreciation for the au naturel looks! The sisters had their locs pulled back in cute dos for the 2019 Teen Choice Awards.
Okay, drama! Let’s just have a moment for this serve! Halle’s braided locs pulled up into this giant bun is a 10!

"Mindfulness, Neuroplasticity, and Mental Health: Insights from Kristen Gilliland"
In a world filled with distractions, from smartphones to social media, it’s easy to lose sight of what truly matters—our mental health. How often do we stop and think about the health of our brain, let alone how we can improve it? The truth is, we have the power to reshape our mental habits through a concept called neuroplasticity. 💡
In this week’s blog, inspired by an episode of Business Story of the Week, we dive into the fascinating world of neuroplasticity with guest Kristen Gilliland. Kristen, a neurochemistry expert, has dedicated her life to mental health advocacy after the tragic loss of her son, and she’s here to share her wisdom on how we can all take better care of our minds.
Kristen’s Story: Turning Tragedy into Advocacy
Kristen’s life took an unexpected turn when her son, who had been struggling with mental health issues, passed away from an accidental overdose in 2019. His mental health had deteriorated, in part, due to high-potency cannabis use. This life-altering event led Kristen to pivot her career from organic chemistry professor to mental health advocate.
She now serves as the Director of Outreach at the Warren Center for Neuroscience Drug Discovery, where she educates parents and teens about the dangers of substance use during adolescence. Kristen’s story is a powerful reminder that even in the face of unimaginable loss, there is always room to find purpose and inspire change.
The Brain’s Incredible Ability to Rewire Itself
Kristen’s expertise in neuroplasticity—our brain’s ability to reorganize itself—offers a hopeful message. Neuroplasticity is what allows us to reshape our thoughts, behaviors, and even emotions by forming new connections in the brain. It’s like giving your mind a fresh start! 🧠✨
One key takeaway from Kristen’s interview is the 90-second rule: when something triggers an emotional response, the brain releases neurochemicals that take about 90 seconds to clear from your system. After that, it’s up to you whether you continue replaying the event and staying upset. By recognizing this cycle, you can choose to stop feeding those negative emotions and start building healthier habits.
Cannabis and Teenagers: A Risk We Can’t Ignore
One of the most crucial parts of Kristen’s advocacy is raising awareness about the dangers of high-potency cannabis for teenagers. The data is alarming: teens who use high-potency cannabis are 11 times more likely to develop psychotic disorders. 😔
Kristen stresses that while cannabis legalization is becoming more common, we can’t overlook the risks, especially for young, developing brains. Her mission is to educate teens and parents alike about these dangers and to encourage open, honest conversations about substance use.
Practical Tips for Parents and Teens
So, how can we apply Kristen’s wisdom to our daily lives? One of her top recommendations is to practice mindfulness. Whether it’s taking breaks from technology, having meaningful conversations, or simply pausing to reflect on your thoughts and emotions, mindfulness can help us all build better mental health.
Kristen also suggests creating a family “escape plan” for teens, so they know how to handle situations where they might feel pressured to use substances. It’s all about giving teens the tools they need to make safe choices without feeling embarrassed or left out.
Final Thoughts
Kristen’s journey from tragedy to advocacy is a testament to the resilience of the human spirit. Through her work, she has shown that we all have the power to take control of our mental health and shape our future through neuroplasticity. 🌟
If you’re interested in learning more about Kristen’s work, visit the Warren Center for Neuroscience Drug Discovery and check out her award-winning film "Speaking Through Me," which educates teens about brain health and substance use.
Let’s take a step back, practice mindfulness, and make our mental health a priority. Because at the end of the day, a healthy brain leads to a healthier, happier life! 💖

Book Review: Funny, You Don’t Look Autistic by Michael McCreary
Funny, You Don’t Look Autistic: A Comedian’s Guide to Life on the Spectrum
Written and narrated by Michael McCreary.
Genre or Category
Biography or Autobiography
Target Age Group
7th-12th grade
Recommended for ages 12 years and up, grades 7-9th
Format
Digital, audiobook
Summary
Michael McCreary is twenty-six (at the time of this review) and is one of many individuals that has Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Or, in other words, he is on “the spectrum.” In this rousing and absolutely laugh-out-loud audiobook, Michael takes us on a journey through his early childhood and on through his later adulthood, wherein he tells us his experiences with autism and the ways that it had shaped his life. In addition to the personal narrative, Michael also dispels myths about ASD and provides insight into his world and the ways that he sees it.
Justification
This audiobook was chosen because it fulfills the category “Biography or Autobiography.” This audiobook was first published as a print book in 2019, and was later published as an audiobook later that same year. Within the five years it has been on the market, Funny, You Don’t Look Autistic has received multiple awards. It was a joint winner for the Canadian Children’s Book Centre’s Best Books for Kids & Teens in 2019, the Ontario Library Association’s Best Bets List, Top Ten, in 2020, the Texas Library Association’s Texas Topaz Nonfiction Reading List in 2020, and the International Board on Books for Young People (IBBY)’s Outstanding Books for Young People with Disabilities in 2021. It was also short-listed for the Next Generation Indie Book Award in 2020 and the Saskatchewan Young Readers’ Choice Awards’ Willow Award in 2020. It has also received immense praise from multiple literary review publications.
Evaluation
For this review, I will be evaluating tone, accuracy, and style and language.
Tone
Michael McCreary’s tone throughout this autobiography is incredibly sincere. Although Michael does have a lighthearted tone towards his own experiences, he also doesn’t shy away from being honest about less-than stellar interactions with other people and his environment. This is expected in an autobiography, for there are both good times and bad times. It can also be said that his tone does bounce between other variations, such as thoughtful, witty, and playful. These variations are, of course, appropriate to the context (i.e. playful when describing a childhood play going incredibly wrong in all of the best ways).
I have not read this autobiography in print format and have only listened to the audiobook version. That being said, it is much easier being able to decipher tone with audio versus text.
Accuracy
This is an autobiography about Michael McCreary, written by Michael McCreary. The information that he writes about himself comes from true events that happened, and can be accounted for by the author, Michael McCreary, and his loved ones that are mentioned throughout the autobiography. It would not appear that he would have any reason to lie. However, if there were any doubts then they could be verified with the number of press releases and other media he has been featured in, which are covered within this book. All of this is to say that this book is fairly accurate.
On another note, Michael McCreary does state that his experience with ASD is not the only experience with this form of neurodivergency. This speaks to his credibility as an author, especially one who speaks about autism broadly and how it may present in others who also have it.
Language and Style
Funny, You Don’t Look Autistic was written for young adults in mind and thus does not have a version of the book adapted for young readers. This has impacted the language and style used throughout the book significantly, because the writing is youthful and is full of charm and wit that is both digestible for young adults and adults alike. Although Michael is in his twenties, he does not attempt to “dumb down” the language he uses when addressing the reader, even when discussing the more scientific or medical terminology associated with ASD. He also uses common language throughout the book and does not attempt to use language or lexicon that is not typically used unless it is within a specific context.

Taika Waititi Acceptance Speech
Transcription
There were a few acceptance speeches Taika Waititi made on this subject “Jojo Rabbits”. This particular speech was extracted from the EE BAFTA Films (British Academy Film Awards).
Although the occasion and the award ceremony is usually quite a formal setting, when Taika Waititi was delivering his acceptance speech, he rather seemed quite laid back and humorous, which brought laughter to the crowd. He had lots of sarcasm in the way he naturally spoke.
I think his personality was able to shine through the acceptance speech.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ocHyf-KWekE&ab_channel=BAFTA
I also transcribed the other part of the audio, as I found the original video on youtube of the acceptance speech, to give me a little more context and background to this extraction of audio that I will be working with to animate.
Event: Jojo Rabbit
September 2019, Waititi's "anti-hate satire" Jojo Rabbit debuted at the Toronto Film Festival there were mixed reviews, and a coveted People's Choice Award
A run of accolades (award ceremonies) followed at the Golden Globes, including Oscars and Baftas for Best Adapted Screenplay, and an Oscar nomination for Best Motion Picture
Set during WWll, the film involves a member of the Hitler Youth who meets a Jewish teen (played by Kiwi Thomasin McKenzie). Waititi took on a role himself, as the boy's imaginary version of Adolf Hitler (a character who doesn't appear in the original novel, Caging Skies).
Film
Film written from a ten year olds view
provoking different emotions and humour in life - all sorts of humour such as dark and happy humour in life and in history
dark but sweet and tender moments
Message: need to be more tolerant and spread more love
Taika in the film - Adolf Hitler is the 10 year olds imaginary best friend

These 1d flops can't have actual invites to actual red carpets that matters so they make ones themselves so they can feel good about themselves. When you search "Louis Tomlinson red carpet" on Google the images you get are from 2017 when he walked the Teen Choice Awards red carpet. 🤣 That's shows how much he is invited to awards or any other red carpet. Liam has found a way to leech to Edward Enninful with some miracle so the clown and his influencer girlfriends end up on every single one of them though no one in the crowd seems to know who these 2 people are. Niall still has a bit of an edge above Lilo when it comes to red carpets cause he fools everyone with his nice guy persona but even then we can all clearly remember how he was begging to be invited to The Met Gala and failed. He wants himself to be seen as a fashion icon too. Hence the Met Gala obsession. And ofcourse cause Harry hosted it once. I'm sure he'll attend all the award red carpet events this year whether he is nominated for anything or not cause his ego is big like Louis and he loves the attention. And don't get me started on Zayn who was Gigi's +1 and arm candy for most fashion events. Also his hypocrite ass going to multiple Grammy parties only to end up ranting about the Grammy's when they ignored his existence. All of these 4 men have made up delusional alternate universes where they see themselves as equals to Harry. So whatever they see him do, they want the same or think they deserve the same. Hence, a Louis Tomlinson documentary no one asked for.
I would like to have been a fly on the wall when Louis pitched the film to various production companies back in 2019, and got turned down flat.
Louis: But I've got Charlie fucking Lightening on board! The one who did the fucking Liam Gallagher film! You guys are going to regret this.

Louis Tomlinson Announces New Global Partnership With BMG
Headline Wembley Arena Show Announced For April 2022
New Postponed World Tour Dates Confirmed For Spring 2022
Louis Tomlinson today announces that he is partnering with BMG to release his second album globally.
Recording is already underway for the record, and Louis joins a roster at BMG that includes KSI, Craig David, Richard Ashcroft, The Prodigy and Kylie Minogue.
Louis says: "I’m very excited to start the next part of my journey with BMG.”
Jamie Nelson VP A&R at BMG UK says: "We are delighted to welcome Louis to BMG. He is already busy working on new music, and we are excited to join him on the next phase of his extraordinary career."
Louis also announces today the first wave of new 2022 dates for his postponed World Tour in UK, Europe, USA and Australia, including a brand new date at London's Wembley Arena. This show replaces Louis's two sold out London shows at The Roundhouse, and tickets will be transferred to the new venue.
Louis's first show at Wembley Arena will take place on April 22nd 2022, and extra tickets for the gig go on sale on Friday 14th May at 9am BST.
After postponing his 2020 world tour due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Louis will now finally get back on the road with his first solo tour, which is already completely sold out. The new dates are listed below. Further international rescheduled dates will be announced at a later date.
Last year, Louis released his million selling smash debut solo album 'Walls' which hit Top 3 in the UK and Top 10 in the USA. A lyrically personal album that proved he had found his feet as a solo artist, the album produced a clutch of acclaimed singles including the emotive first release Two of Us, the raucous Kill My Mind, the reflective We Made It.
In 2019 Louis headlined the Coca-Cola music festival in Madrid to an audience of 25,000 people, and performed to 65,000 fans at Premios Telehit in the Foro Sol stadium in Mexico City. Louis picked up the Best Song Award at the 2019 Teen Choice Awards for 'Two Of Us', which has so far hit over 100 million streams on Spotify alone.
In 2018 Louis won an iHeart Award for 'Best Solo Breakout', and an EMA Award for 'Best UK & Ireland Act' in 2017. He was ranked No.5 on Billboard’s emerging artists of 2018 and has over 60 million combined followers on social media. Last year he won 'Artist Of The Summer' in Philly radio station 96.5 TDY's annual awards.
In December 2020, Louis hosted one of the biggest live stream concert events of 2020, selling over 160,000 tickets to fans in over 100 countries and raising funds for several important charities. As a member of One Direction, Louis has sold over 100 million records. Overall Louis’ solo music has garnered over a BILLION streams.

Monday August 30th 2021
Louis Tomlinson today announces his own one day free music event in London on the 30th August, The Away From Home Festival.
Entirely conceived and curated by Louis himself, the one day festival that will host 8,500 fans and will be held at the Crystal Palace Bowl, an iconic South London venue with over 60 years of live music heritage and a legacy as an outdoor performance venue stretching back over a century.
Louis will headline the event with a special live set, with a line up that also includes Scottish band The Snuts who recently hit No.1 on the Official Album Charts, Essex indie punk newcomers Bilk, and DJ sets from Radio1’s Jess Iszatt.
The festival is being held in celebration of the return of live music this summer following a year and a half of Covid 19 restrictions. As his own World Tour is completely sold out, Louis wanted to make tickets for this event completely free so fans don't have to spend any more money to enjoy live music this summer.
Fans can enter the prize draw for tickets now via awayfromhomefestival.com.
Louis says: "I’ve been sat on this idea for the last 12 months at least and now to see it come to life makes me very excited. Personally, playing live shows is the best part of what I do and it’s been far too long since I've seen my fans, so I wanted to put this festival on to say thank you for all the support and celebrate the return of live music. I’ve got a really good feeling it’s going to be a really special night. We all deserve that!"
