ITâS WHIMSICAL.Â
... itâs filled with spider webs and jack-o-lanterns. The entrance of Myre Grove is dark and cold. Water drips from every inch of the cavern as you walk through to get to the land of the Faeries. At first, it appears innocent enough. Different facial expressions have been carved out of the pumpkins, some sad, some happy, others completely terrified. Itâs whatâs expected from Halloween.Â
As you step out of the cave, you notice something very unexpected, however. Those that have dared to travel into the depths of Myre Grove can tell that this is not of the norm. Three doors are settled amongst the thick trees, blocking the way. Three paths to choose from.Â
ITâS MAGICAL.
The first door, to the left, appears to be an exact replica of a tomb stone. Above the door, thereâs a neon number: 35. Etched into the center of it reads: Here lies the past, the present, and the future. A magical experience. Answers to long awaited questions, mysteries that can finally be solved. Last long enough, and you might obtain the answers you seek...
ITâS MYSTICAL.
The middle door is a stain glass window, dark red and blue colors shone bright towards the crowd. Above the door, thereâs a neon number. 30. If you look close enough, one might see the many cracks that has been used to relay a message. We are mystical. We are seen, yet unseen. All we want is company. Will you come indulge us, if only for one night?Â
ITâS MADNESS.
The last door, to the right, has brightly colored green leaves, growing on vines, wrapping around the frame. Itâs welcoming, compared to the other two doors. Above the door, thereâs a neon number: 40. Enjoy frolicking through fields of green and skies of blue. Reads a sign connected to the door. For, a night of madness could also mean a night of fun.Â
WHICH WILL YOU CHOOSE?
Once you enter any of the encounters, each number on the top of the doors will begin a countdown. The numbers represent how many minutes you will be in that encounter. There is nothing one can do to add on time, however, time feels as if it goes much slower if you are not participating in the encounter.Â
ADMIN NOTE: This is Part 2/3 of our lovely Halloween event! As it reads above, once your characters enter the Myre Grove, they are given a choice of 3 different paths. They can try to decipher what is behind each door by reading the messages, or they can just go in without bothering. The messages are just that, messages. They do not need to remember them or do anything with them once they enter through the doors.
Here are what is behind each door:
DOOR ONE: This one will lead your characters to a large graveyard. The graveyard appears old, and there is a large tomb that one could go into, and underground, if they desire to explore. The graveyard is blocked off by silveriron fences/gates. Several things can happen, or that your characters can encounter, while being in this area:
Bodies crawling out of graves.
Heavy mist.
Voices that come from any/every area.Â
Screams.
Undead, rotting, people that try to get them to come into the graves/tombs with them.
DOOR TWO: If your character enters this door, they will be brought to an actual haunted house. It will be very old, tattered and worn down furniture, wallpaper, baseboards, etc. It is two stories with a grand staircase. Several things that can happen are:
Ghosts. Plenty of them. Some good, happy, joyful. Some mean and downright nasty who want to make your characterâs lives miserable while they are there.
Sinister music/songs/singing.
Flashing lights/electrical problems.Â
Doors opening, closing, and locking on their own.Â
Cold areas of the house.
Ectoplasm dripping from the walls, cracks, doors, etc.
DOOR THREE: Past this door, there is a field of flowers, and just past that, there is a cornfield. The flowers are the most beautiful youâve ever seen and the corn is fresh. The sky is bright and there is absolutely no darkness to this encounter. The field is endless. Several things that can happen are:
The flowers give off a scent that creates a euphoric feeling. At least, at first. After a few minutes, your mind will instantly feel impending doom and dread.Â
In the cornfield, there are several scarecrows. They move, with or without the wind.
Noises such as chainsaws and large crop mowers can be heard, and if one is hallucinating enough, seen vividly.Â
As time moves forward, the crops in the cornfield grow taller and thicker. This can cause characters to lose more sense of direction (especially if they are already hallucinating), and potentially getting lost.Â
You can choose what your character sees/does during each encounter. The doors that lead to each area are locked until the timer hits 0 above each of them.Â

âi may be wearing a dress, and i may be all dolled up, but that doesnât mean that i wonât tear you limb from limb if you think that you could take me. now shut the fuck up, look pretty in your costume, and pick a damn door for us to go through.â azagi sighed, rolling her eyes as she picked a dagger from the holster around her thigh to twirl in her hand; the demoness (who was currently dressed as a vampire queen) felt more comfortable with a weapon in hand, even in situations that were supposed to be full of fun.Â

900. nadara has not been around since anything as far as the beginning, but she has been alive through every supernatural event since the creation of those cursed vampires.Â
1005. as a young fae, she was already taught the importance of isolation from other species. the fae were good and the other species were bad and would have them dead if given the opportunity. even the merfolk were to be allied with, but not trusted.Â
this made sense to a young nadara, except... could those humans truly be so dangerous?Â
1111. her curiosity, or perhaps naive innocence of youth, got the best of her, and she was so bold as to meet one once. he was kind and handsome, and she spent many a night secretly meeting with him. he spoke of grand ideas that didnât belong in the time of retribution: love and happiness and adventure. she wanted that with him. and she had it, for a time, until he grew older and she... did not. at least, not in the same way. humans were f r a g i l e, beautiful candles.Â
1121. desperate to keep her love, nadara decided to remove her glamour and admit her fae origins. perhaps she could trade something of value to a witch and be granted a human lifespan. could they siphon her years? she would do it, for him. unfortunately, the human had other ideas. a fae ? heâd been courting a f a e ? instead of agreeing to a life with her, she found an iron blade at her throat. horrified and humiliated, she charmed him to drop the knife and ran without looking back. humans were so consumed by their fear that they allowed themselves to be vile.Â
1232. nearly a century later, the earth degraded more, and yet another species (werewolves) had been created. by now, nadara had begun to feel the sense of superiority her parents had taught her. the other species were only botched experiments in attempts to reach the heights of species like the fae. would they never learn ?Â
1720. despite the evil hearts of the creatures walking the earth, the earth itself had never done anything to deserve its toil. nadara became interested in studying what could be done to save it. when scale harvesting began, she was in full support. surely magic could save the earth, couldnât it? besides, the merfolk were agreeable to the process.Â
 1770. a peace had settled over the earth at last, and nadara began to believe it was permanent. she found love once more, this time with another fae from a less noble family. her family forbade it, but it didnât stop nadara from being courted by him for decades.Â
1800. nadara began suffering from night terrors, incoherent dreams that made no sense. flashes of a wedding, of a beautiful child with her lover, of said lover being torn apart. she refused his offers of marriage, terrified of these dreams becoming real if she let herself be happy. couldnât he be happy with whatever they shared now?Â
1900. tensions were growing so strong between the species, that nadara feared for the fate of the fae. to counteract her night terrors, sheâd spent the last century on her only solution: magic. the peace sheâd once fought for for the earth could come later. for now, she would suffer the dark consequences of magic to keep her future family safe. she would become powerful, and they would marry at last and have that beautiful child.Â
late 1930. at last, despite her magic use, nadaraâs nightmares came to fruition. her lover had been murdered somehow, by a demon. it was not only the humans, she realized, but all other species who did not deserve peace. they were a blight on the earth. she hunted the demon down and killed him herself. it was not enough.Â
early 1931. in the middle of the human revolution, nadara realized she was with child. an observant son of a rival noble family noticed as well. heâd yet to manage to father any child himself, and it was questionable whether he could. he offered her a marriage of convenience, safety from an out-of-wedlock scandal and the ability for his own line to continue in name. there was no love, as nadara was still mourning and barely tolerated his cruel nature on a good day, but she had no better option than to disgrace her family and ruin her own reputation. she wed him and it was the terrible frivolous event sheâd had nightmares of for decades.Â
1993. when the humans began to form an uprising, not all fae survived the battles, and nadara took the opportunity to... see to it that her now high court official husband... didnât return from his journeys. heâd blackmailed her and never respected her, and she used the leverage of his family name and her own to claim his now vacant position.Â
2130. where once was a hopeful and adventurous girl with her heart on her sleeve stands a deceptive and manipulative ruler. although many may see her perfect court etiquette and eloquent speeches as someone benevolent, nadara cares for nothing but gaining enough power that she can never be hurt again and that her sole heir shall never have a hair on their head harmed.Â

WELCOME TO MYRE GROVE
... A place where barely anyone has been. For the first time in decades, the Fae have chosen to open their home to everyone. Sure, thereâs a few whoâve snuck passed the enchantments before, but this time, they have stripped it down and are more than happy to have you around.Â
But... thereâs a catch.Â
There always is with the Fae, isnât there?Â
You are welcomed to roam around for one night ONLY. Halloween night. Theyâve been gracious and have transformed their territory to represent the day. And once the clock strikes midnight... well, letâs just say you wonât want to stay to see what happens next.Â
Or, maybe you do? We have some curious cats here in Calamity.Â
Just remember... curiosity harmed the cat. (Or something like that.)
Admin Note: Wooo! Third Halloween event! This is Part 1 of 2/3 Parts. I havenât decided yet. Anyway! The Fae have transformed every part of their territory into a Halloween theme. You can choose to have your characters participate, or not, itâs fully up to you! There will be more information on what is actually inside of Myre Grove in the second part.
Iâll give you a hint though... If your character chooses to enter Myre Grove, they will be given a choice to enter 1 of 3 separate paths, all around the Halloween theme. These paths will give them an experience of a lifetime.Â

he wasnât sure that things were okay with him and najelon yet, he hadnât really heard from the demon and it was making him anxious... but he loved halloween, and he was going to go out and have a good time regardless. adonis dressed up as a bunny and he looked hot, he always looked hot but he looked hot, hot tonight. âwhat door you thinking? naturally, iâm more inclined towards the pretty flowers of door number three. you gonna join me? i think you should join me.âÂ
