Using Drone Photography to Showcase Real Estate for Greater Sales Than the Basics
Real estate is one of the most competitive ventures. It requires being outstanding in any way possible. Through drone photography in Los Angeles, realtors have the advantage of working with a tool with options more than aerial property views. While the basic usages of drone photography capture images of property exteriors and neighborhood layouts, innovative applications are emerging that could really start to raise the bar on real estate marketing strategies. This article looks at how realtors can use drone photography services in Los Angeles to go beyond the basics and elevate their property listings.
1. Dynamic Virtual Tours
Among the most innovative uses of drone photography in the real estate industry, virtual tours can be created. Unlike static images or traditional video tours, the drone offers the potential buyer perspectives that sweep and move through a property from various angles in a seamless, interactive approach. Integrating drone footage into virtual tour platforms allows realtors to capture the essence of the property and its surroundings comprehensively and offer an engaging view.
360-Degree Views: Drone cameras are able to shoot panoramic views of properties, giving buyers a full sense of space and layout.
Interactive Maps: The integration of drone footage with interactive maps lets users explore properties and amenities for an enriching and more informative experience.
2. Enhanced Property Development Insights
Basically, it is for real estate developers and investors that the services of drone photography for realtors go beyond mere marketing into useful insights for their projects. Drones have so many uses in the monitoring and documentation of the progress of property development, from high-resolution images and videos to providing insight into the quality of construction and project milestones.
Tracking Progress: Regular aerial imagery can enable developers to track the progress of construction, thus enabling them to discover problems early enough to ensure the actualization of the project on time.
Site Analysis: Large development sites may necessitate one to carry out site planning, design, and analysis of the surrounding infrastructure with the help of drones capturing detailed images.
3. Full Neighborhood Analysis
Buyers need context about the greater area a property sits within. Drone photography services in Los Angeles are able to capture the surrounding neighborhood and provide an accomplished view in relation to amenities, schools, parks, and transportation options.
Community Features: The use of high-quality aerial imagery can help point out major features of the neighborhood, such as proximity to popular landmarks, recreational areas, and community centers.
Comparative Analysis: Drones can shoot comparative views of different properties in the same area to help buyers make an informed decision by showing how a property fits into its local context.
4. Showcase Unique Property Features
With drones, it is possible to shoot those aspects of a property that may be elusive in a traditional photograph. Properties boasting architectural designs, sprawling estates, or an abundance of outdoor features will be much better served by aerial perspectives.
Architectural Highlights: Aerial shots are able to show certain architectural details in the design, roof, and landscaping that contribute to the exclusiveness and appeal of the property.
Event and Lifestyle Shots: This may mean drones shooting dynamic lifestyle shots, such as outdoor gatherings, pool parties, or great views from various parts of the property-all to help buyers envision their life in the space.
5. Seasonal and Time-Lapse Photography
Another creative use of drone photography would be the capturing of properties through different seasons or using time-lapse photography to show changes over periods. It may very well be useful for highlighting seasonal properties or those changes that take place within the property throughout the year.
Seasonal Changes: Aerial photographs shot in different seasons show visually how the property and surroundings would change, thereby highlighting seasonal features like gardens in bloom or winter landscapes.
Time-Lapse Documentation: The drone photography of time lapses can document the construction phases, landscaping projects, or any other long-term changes that tell an interesting story in a visual way of the development phase of the property.
Conclusion
As the real estate market keeps getting different shapes and perspectives, leveraging drone photography in Los Angeles has some unique ways to amplify property marketing and fetch valuable insights. Creative uses of drone photography also include creating dynamic virtual tours, tracking property development, highlighting unique features, and capturing seasonal changes. It goes well beyond what conventional applications have to offer. In embracing these creative uses of drone photography, realtors are able to effectively differentiate listings and give a more complete view of properties.

5 Drone Cinematography Techniques You Should Know
Drones are becoming increasingly affordable, allowing filmmakers and aerial videography hobbyists to experiment with new technologies. To get you started, here's a reel we put up to demonstrate the actual potential of aerial filming. Check it out and keep reading to learn about the tactics you may use right away. Are you looking for the top drone pilots in the United States? Take the advantage of our los angeles drone pilot to help you with all flight operations.
Pan Shot from Above
Pan shots are most commonly taken with the camera placed on a tripod. The gimbal, in addition to the moving drone away from your location, replaces the tripod in the case of drones. Obviously, it's more difficult than a basic pan, but the aesthetic impression you can generate is far superior. Keep in mind that it's a question of taste and the impact you want to produce. Simply spin your device.
Following Shot
Tracking shots are coordinated in synchronization and are usually employed while moving parallel to the subject. Matching the speed and maintaining concentration on your subject at the required composing moment is the basis of this approach. We see these kinds of scenes all the time in movies, as well as during sporting events and vehicle ads.
Pedestal Shot No. 3
This is a shot in which the drone flies up and down without adjusting the camera or gimbal at all, depending only on the flight. This kind of camera movement can also be accomplished with a crane or jib arm, but the range we can reach with drones in terms of how far up or down we can travel is enormous, giving us significantly more freedom.
Fly Over
We see these pictures all the time, in advertisements, music videos, and TV shows, to mention a few. A simple technique to record a good fly-over image is to center the entire camera movement around one item or a specific scene, while the drone is continually flying and crossing the distance till it passes the thing from above.
Showcase Shot
A reveal shot very much accomplishes what it says on the tin. It's a way of revealing our topic of interest or what we want the audience to pay attention to. It's definitely my favorite aerial approach for creating enormous "WOW" effects, displaying a certain time of day, and acting as an opening and outro for a scene.

Explain what is Reportage Photography?
Reportage photography is taking the most powerful images to communicate the atmosphere of an event and to preserve a moment in history. Reportage conveys the emotion felt by the subjects and helps you feel like you were there.
Is there a difference between Reportage and Documentary photography?
They two terms are used interchangeably, implying that they are the same.
Why is it so important to society?
Reportage truthfully informs the public in a series of images about what is going on in their, and other, societies.
Is there such a thing as a photograph that isn't reportage?
In a sense. Depending on the definition, the answer varies. Yes, every photograph captures a story, tells a narrative, but that may not make it a reportage. I suppose for it to be truly reportage, it would have to properly capture the atmosphere of the event.
Photographers
J. Henry Fair - that factory one
Michael Dyrland -Hazmat Surfing
J. Henry Fair is an American photographer and activist. He has two unique specialities - portraits of musicians, and abstract environmental pollution photography. He wants to use his photographs to tell stories about people and the things that affect people.
This is a photograph from J. Henry Fair's photographic series "Industrial Scars". This image was taken at a power-plant in Grevenbroich, Germany.
This is a very visually appealing image. The red pipelines create a contrast to the grey cooling towers and stark white smoke. The theme of air pollution is explored beautifully with the vast amounts of smoke rising to the sky. The height Fair would have had to have his drone just to fully capture the height and width of the factory is incredible.
Michael Dyrland is a self-taught entrepreneur from America that simply dreams of travelling the globe and going back home, able to share his story through his art. Telling someone's story through his art is what he wants to do the most.
His photograph in the series "Hazmat Surfing" shows a grim picture. The visual contrast between the grey sky and the green, disgusting ocean horrifically shows the deep pollution of the Los Angeles oceans. The camera sits in the water, showing both the surface and under the water.

Maximize Your Property’s Appeal with Drone Photography in Los Angeles
In today’s highly competitive real estate market, standing out is more crucial than ever. Property listings have evolved beyond traditional photography, and drone technology is at the forefront of this shift. With breathtaking aerial views and dynamic shots, drone photography has transformed the way real estate properties are presented to potential buyers. In Los Angeles, where the skyline, landscapes, and architecture are as diverse as they are stunning, real estate drone photography is the key to maximizing your property’s appeal.
The Power of Drone Photography in Real Estate
Drone photography offers unique advantages over conventional real estate marketing tools. When selling properties in a city like Los Angeles, with its varied topography and iconic landmarks, showcasing the full scope of a home or commercial building is vital. Drones provide sweeping views of the property and surrounding neighborhood, highlighting features that ground-level photos simply cannot capture.
Aerial photos offer:
Complete Property Perspective: Get a full view of the home or building in its entirety, including the layout, landscaping, backyard, pool, or outdoor amenities.
Neighborhood Insights: Drones can also capture nearby attractions, parks, and amenities, giving buyers a feel for the area’s environment, which is essential in a city like Los Angeles.
Unique Angles and Dynamic Views: Drone photography allows for shots from multiple elevations and perspectives, making the property more visually appealing.
Why Los Angeles Real Estate Needs Drone Photography
Los Angeles is a sprawling metropolis with unique residential and commercial properties ranging from beachfront mansions in Malibu to modern high-rises in Downtown LA. Drone photography’s ability to capture every angle, whether it’s a coastal view or city skyline, helps ensure that each property shines in the crowded Los Angeles market.
1. Showcasing the Location
For buyers, location is often as important as the property itself. Whether you’re selling a high-end luxury estate in the Hollywood Hills or a commercial building in Westwood, the surrounding environment plays a significant role in the appeal of the property. Drone photography helps showcase proximity to beaches, parks, schools, or key urban centers. Aerial images and videos can demonstrate the benefits of the neighborhood, offering buyers a clearer understanding of their potential investment.
2. Highlighting Property Features
For larger homes and estates, especially those with extensive outdoor spaces, pools, gardens, or scenic views, drone photography ensures that these features are highlighted effectively. Drones capture expansive, sweeping shots of the landscape, providing a complete picture of what the property offers.
Imagine a sprawling estate in Beverly Hills with a multi-level garden and infinity pool — a drone can capture the entire property in one frame, giving potential buyers a more immersive viewing experience. These eye-catching visuals help properties stand out, attracting more interest and higher offers.
3. Creating a Lasting Impression with Videos
Video tours are an emerging trend in real estate marketing, and drones play a pivotal role. Aerial video tours of properties provide a cinematic experience, giving buyers a virtual walkthrough without stepping foot on the property. In Los Angeles, where properties can range from sprawling lots to tight urban spaces, drone video tours can highlight features like rooftop decks, courtyards, and views that can’t be captured by standard ground-level footage.
Videos provide a lasting impression, keeping potential buyers engaged with your listing longer, and offering a competitive edge when it comes to closing deals.

At Petrossian Aerial, we specialize in delivering stunning real estate drone photography in Los Angeles. Our experienced drone pilots and photographers work closely with real estate professionals to ensure that each property is captured in the best possible light.

Safety and compliance are top priorities at Petrossian Aerial. Our drone operators are licensed by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and fully insured, ensuring that our services are not only high-quality but also safe and compliant with local regulations. We create custom solutions based on your property’s size, layout, and key selling points, ensuring that the final images and video highlight the best features.
Maximizing Marketability in a Competitive City
In a competitive real estate market like Los Angeles, having professional drone photography can be the difference between a quick sale and a property that lingers on the market. Drone photography helps your listing stand out in the crowd by offering buyers a more comprehensive view of the property and its surroundings.
Today’s buyers, especially in a visually driven digital world, expect high-quality visuals when searching for their next home or investment property. Incorporating aerial photography and video not only increases the perceived value of the listing but also enhances its marketability across platforms like real estate websites and social media.
Conclusion
Drone photography is revolutionizing the real estate industry, and in Los Angeles, where properties are as diverse as the people who buy them, aerial images and video offer a fresh perspective. By leveraging the power of drone technology, you can maximize your property’s appeal, attract more potential buyers, and sell faster.
At Petrossian Aerial, we pride ourselves on delivering professional, high-quality real estate drone photography services that showcase properties in their best light. Let us help you take your real estate marketing to new heights — literally.

Fabien Barrau uses drone shots to create visions of cities after a climate apocalypse
French digital artist Fabien Barrau uses his own drone photography to make photo montages of how ruined architecture might appear after a climate change apocalypse.
Called News From the Future, the series of renderings depict famous architectural landmarks in places such as Paris, Rome, New York and London submerged beneath waves or smothered in desert sands.
Top: Rome's Colosseum buried in sand. Above: Paris becomes a desert
"I try to imagine what would happen in the event of desertification, the rise of the oceans or the tropicalization of a region," Barrau told Dezeen.
For each composition, he combines drone photography and stock images to imagine how future generations of climate-apocalypse survivors might explore the ruins of major cities hundreds of years from now.
The Empire State Building in the barren waste of New York City
He imagines them experiencing "the same feeling as the archaeologists of the 19th century who discovered Pompeii", the Roman city buried and preserved under ash from a catastrophic volcanic explosion in 79 AD.
Barrau's cinematic photomontages draw inspiration from his favourite works of post-apocalyptic fiction.
An abandoned Chicago overtaken by trees
The image of two whales swimming above Paris' Arc de Triomphe is a tribute to the French artist Roland Cat, whose work in the 1970s and 80s imagined sea creatures swimming above drowned cities.
News From the Future deliberately evokes films such as Planet of the Apes (1968), Mad Max (1979), Akira (1988), and a 2008 documentary from National Geographic called Aftermath: Population Zero.
Whales swim over Paris' Arc de Triomphe
The dramatic images are intended as a call to action, Barrau told Dezeen.
"My motivation for this series was how to influence awareness of climate change and the urgency to act every day according to one's means and power," he said.
"In my case, my little power is to create images and imagine myself as an explorer who will return from the future with photos of a changed world," added Barrau.
"I remain convinced that a simple image can have more impact on people, especially the youngest, to understand the probabilities of the consequences of inaction."
Rising sea levels encroach upon New York's Statue of Liberty
Barrau is far from the only creative to use their skills to spread a message about the dangers of climate change.
Los Angeles-based artist Lucy McRae has made a wearable survival suit roaming a post-apocalyptic landscape, and design studio Superflux used renderings to imagine how Singapore might look in 2219.

Construction and Real Estate
In the construction and real estate industries, drones are revolutionizing the way projects are planned, monitored, and marketed. Construction companies use drones for site surveys, progress tracking, and safety inspections, saving time and reducing costs compared to traditional methods. Similarly, real estate agents leverage drone photography and videography to showcase properties from captivating aerial perspectives, attracting potential buyers and maximizing property visibility.
Infrastructure Inspection and Maintenance
Drones are increasingly being used for infrastructure inspection and maintenance in Los Angeles, offering a safer, more efficient alternative to manual inspections. Equipped with high-resolution cameras and sensors, drones can access hard-to-reach areas such as bridges, towers, and pipelines, allowing inspectors to identify potential issues and assess structural integrity without putting personnel at risk. Regular drone inspections help ensure the safety and reliability of critical infrastructure assets.
Environmental Monitoring and Conservation
In Los Angeles, drones are playing a vital role in environmental monitoring and conservation efforts. Conservation organizations and government agencies use drones to survey ecosystems, monitor wildlife populations, and detect illegal activities such as poaching and deforestation. Drones equipped with specialized sensors can collect valuable data on environmental indicators such as water quality, vegetation health, and habitat fragmentation, providing insights for conservation management and policy decisions.
Emergency Response and Public Safety
Drones are proving to be invaluable tools for emergency response and public safety agencies in Los Angeles. Equipped with thermal imaging cameras and real-time video streaming capabilities, drones can quickly assess disaster areas, search for missing persons, and provide situational awareness to first responders. During wildfires, drones help firefighters map fire boundaries, identify hotspots, and coordinate firefighting efforts more effectively, ultimately saving lives and minimizing property damage.
Urban Planning and Development
Urban planners and developers in Los Angeles are harnessing the power of drones to inform decision-making and facilitate sustainable development. Drones provide detailed aerial surveys and 3D mapping data that can be used to analyze land use patterns, assess infrastructure needs, and visualize proposed development projects. By incorporating drone technology into urban planning processes, cities can optimize resource allocation, improve transportation networks, and create more livable and resilient communities.
Regulatory Compliance and Safety
Despite the many benefits of drone services, regulatory compliance and safety remain paramount concerns in Los Angeles. Drone operators must adhere to Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations and obtain necessary permits and certifications for commercial drone operations. Additionally, strict safety protocols must be followed to mitigate risks such as mid-air collisions, flyaway incidents, and privacy violations. By prioritizing regulatory compliance and safety measures, drone operators can ensure responsible and ethical use of drone technology.
Conclusion
In conclusion, drone services in Los Angeles are unleashing a world of possibilities across various industries, from entertainment and construction to environmental conservation and public safety. With their ability to capture stunning aerial imagery, collect valuable data, and perform tasks that were once impractical or hazardous, drones are revolutionizing the way we work, create, and interact with the world around us. By embracing drone technology and leveraging its capabilities, businesses and organizations in Los Angeles can unlock new opportunities for innovation, efficiency, and sustainable growth. As the drone industry continues to evolve and mature, it will undoubtedly play an increasingly vital role in shaping the future of Los Angeles and beyond.

How To Make Money During Wedding Season
CasarsaGuru / Getty Images
At the end of April the headline in the Los Angeles Times, which an entire industry had been expecting for more than a year, ran the headline: “Wedding jobs and part-time jobs are coming back.”
It was welcome news that was long overdue. As crowds and gatherings fell victim to global quarantine, couples in love across the country and around the world postponed their big days.

Now weddings are back – and the small businesses and side gigs that make them possible are back.
If you’re looking to make some cash this summer and fall, or if you’re finally ready to go all the way and start a small business, the wedding industry is booming. It’s no secret that weddings are expensive – that’s because it is difficult to hold a wedding in style, and the people who do it well are well paid for their services.
The wedding business is back in action. Here are 10 ways to redeem money.

Skilled bakers can make wedding cakes
According to The Knot, the average wedding cake costs $ 500 – between $ 1.50 and $ 12 each – but it can easily run into the thousands. Since cutting the cake is still an important part of most weddings, it takes real skill and experience to create a wedding cake that both looks and tastes the way it is for the occasion.
According to TRUIC, if you have the background and the skills, you can start your own cake business for less than $ 1,000. However, some of the fees to consider include government licenses, insurance, bakery supplies, ingredients, specialized mobile transportation and refrigeration equipment, and marketing costs.

Start a catering business – or more likely, a gig for someone else
As opposed to creating and delivering a single cake, catering a live event, which happens to be the most important day in a person’s life, is a daunting undertaking that requires a deep understanding of business, commercial hospitality, and event planning. Entering the industry requires large upfront investments in vehicles, equipment, kitchen space, licenses, insurance, and manpower – running a catering business isn’t a side job.
The story goes on
However, working on a contract basis for a catering company can be a lucrative and reliable part-time job during the wedding season. Since you only work the gigs you want, it’s flexible working. The national median wage is $ 13, according to ZipRecruiter.

Wedding photographers can make good money
If you’re a seasoned photographer, weddings can make a good living – the national median salary is nearly $ 105,000, according to ZipRecruiter. However, this requires an upfront investment in equipment and knowledge. Sophisticated cameras, lenses, and software run in the lower thousands, but your single wedding fee can cover those costs – if you’re good at it.
According to Profoto, to get good, you need to learn and practice in all weather and light conditions until you master your equipment. If you ever want to get hired, you need to build a portfolio of what you can do by doing free gigs in the beginning.

Artistic types can create custom gifts and decorations
Weddings need centerpieces, wedding favors, arbors, and all sorts of other physical items that add ambience and art to the day. If you have a flair for arts, crafts, and handicrafts, you could make a sweet sideline of providing custom crafts, gifts, decorations, favors, or anything else that makes weddings beautiful and unique. There is no way to calculate your fees, costs, or income in general – these are as individual as your craft – but you should plan on going to a quality website or professional online store to showcase your work.

Even as a wedding planner, you can influence every aspect
Hyperorganized and creative problem solvers who are good with people can make a living as wedding planners. Wedding planners earned an average of about $ 38,000, according to Indeed.com, but the pandemic appears to have turned their fortunes for the better. As of March 2020, wedding planners averaged $ 51,500. However, this is only the base salary. Indeed.com reports that they also tip an average of $ 100 per day. Many wedding planners come from areas such as executive assistant, event planning, and restaurant general managers.

Let the magic happen from the DJ booth
No wedding is complete without music and a DJ is the logical choice for many newlyweds, as live bands cost more, take up more space, require more planning and are much more limited with their repertoire. Getting into the business used to require expensive turntables and mixing equipment, huge record collections, and real skill. Today it’s a much more accessible career or sideline – a single laptop can record every song ever written, and special software makes professional audio mixing available to the masses. You can make good money as a wedding DJ full-time or as a sideline. The average hourly wage is between $ 40 and $ 50, according to ZipRecruiter.

Videographers make memories forever
According to Indeed.com, videographers make an average of $ 358 a day. Not bad prey, but there is a huge spectrum in terms of costs and returns. For example, companies like Inzi Wedding Films start at $ 3,500 for cinematic documentary productions with aerial photography from drones. Regardless of the scope of your service, a background in film and video is a natural foundation for this type of work. But if you don’t have that type of experience, you can start working gigs for videography companies that hire support staff.

Flowers have always been part of weddings in different cultures, countries and religions. If you have a creative flair and passion for flowers, you don’t have to open a studio or business to make a living doing weddings – unlike florists, many modern day floral designers make their homes magical. When you are good you can live well with what you love. According to Salary.com, the average flower designer makes more than $ 52,000 a year.

Once arrived, wedding invitations hang on fridge magnets for months before the big day – after all, they’re as beautiful as they are useful. It could be you who bring them to life – and starting your own wedding stationery business isn’t too big an investment. Whether your customers want traditional calligraphy or their style is more simple and modern, you can make a good living with this type of artistic creation. According to ZipRecruiter, the average stationery designer makes $ 25 an hour, or more than $ 52,000 a year.

Rolls-Royce’s Black Badge motor cars respond to a subset of clients who connect with the marque with wilfully disruptive intentions. They seek to subvert expected codes of luxury and create highly Bespoke and unapologetic symbols of their lifestyles. Cullinan Black Badge was created for this group of remarkable men and women, many of whom have come to describe the Black Badge aesthetic and philosophy as an automotive subculture in its own right: one defined by uncompromised luxury, unrelenting power and darkness. To celebrate the arrival of this transformative motor car, automotive culture photographer, Mark Riccioni, was invited by Rolls-Royce to create a pictorial series of Black Badge Cullinan greeting fellow automotive subcultures in Greater Los Angeles, California. Following his assemblage of these exceptional vehicles, each of which acutely represents the subculture it belongs to, he captured each encounter under the cover of darkness. Riccioni says, “The things that connect us are always more powerful than the things that separate us, and this series is a wonderful demonstration of that. I selected each subculture because it shares the philosophies that inform the creation of a Black Badge Rolls-Royce. From the obsessive attention to detail lavished on a lowrider and visceral power of a hot rod to the bold execution of tuned imports and deeply personal customisations applied to ‘brat’-style motorcycles.”
To assist with this extraordinary project, the Bespoke Collective of designers, engineers and craftspeople at the Home of Rolls-Royce in Goodwood, West Sussex, created a unique Recreation Module for Riccioni’s endeavour. The unit, Internally codenamed ‘Urban Photography’, was conceived to incorporate equipment specific to his photography requirements. These include a DJI Mavic Mini drone, 12.9-inch Apple iPad Pro and 16-inch Apple MacBook Pro for image capture and editing on location.
In addition, items requested by Riccioni were included, such as Sennheiser PXC550 MkII noise-cancelling headphones, Persol PO3225-S sunglasses, outerwear from streetwear brand Supreme and a water bottle. The automated Recreation Module was expertly trimmed in Forge Yellow leather to match the Black Badge Cullinan’s interior colourway.
A gallery of these images, titled ‘King of the Night’, will be on display at Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Beverly Hills, 8833 W Olympic Blvd, Beverly Hills, CA 90211 from March 2020 prior to an exclusive Rolls-Royce Black Badge private event.
