— SETTING: spring extravaganza ; april 9th, charity baseball game — AVAILABILITY: closed starter for SAUL WEISSBERG | ( @saulweissberg )
Sara had never understood baseball, but, charity was charity and since she had promised herself to try and have more quality time by herself, here she was, trying to enjoy herself at a game she didn't quite give too much thought about. As the crowd gave one last cheer at the referee's last whistle, the brunette pressed her lips into a thin line... that was it? That was the whole game? Her gaze moved along the crowd as it began leaving their seats and she locked eyes with a particular pair of blue hues. Sara waved discreetly at Saul, offering him a small smile. Would it be bad if she went there to say hello? They had agreed on keeping things discreet, but that didn't mean she couldn't greet him in public, right? It wasn't like she was some kind of dirty little secret, so, she got up from her seat, too and walked towards the older lawyer. The smile reappeared on her lips as she joined him. "Saul Weissberg as I live and breathe!" The short-haired brunette teased, feigning surprise. "Did you have fun?"

— SETTING: spring extravaganza ; april 13th, frederick farms — AVAILABILITY: closed starter for CARISSA CHO | ( @carissacho )
Jacob was still debating on whether or not letting Mei set him up on a blind date with one of her friends was a good idea or not. It wasn't that he didn't trust his cousin with these things, but there was something about letting your friends make you go on blind dates that, while completely normal in Korean culture, he was still too American not to feel slightly bothered by it. As if he was desperate or something. Still, he came. Mei said her friend would be waiting for him by the lemonade booth, so, that's where he went.
He couldn't help but chuckle upon noticing Carissa there, too. "Hey you." Jacob rested his hand on the small of her back and leaned in to plant a kiss on her cheek. Then, he took a step back and placed his hands inside his jacket's pockets, not wanting his potential date to see him standing close to Carissa and get the wrong idea. "Are you enjoying the festivities?"

— SETTING: spring extravaganza ; april 10th, the grape escape tent downtown — AVAILABILITY: closed starter for FRANCESCA SHEN | ( @frankiexshen )
It was funny that every time he bumped into Frankie, there was a damn smile on his lips. Although he knew the younger doctor would be around for the festivities, he didn't know when exactly they would end up bumping into one another, so, when he did spot her in the crowd, Dean was quick to throw his arm around her shoulders and duck his head, as if to tell her a secret or something. "Do you think they would notice if we stole one of these bottles?" His bright smirk shone down on her, before Dean pressed a kiss on her cheek. "'Sup, Doctor Shen. Would you hold my hand and protect me if I got too drunk on wine tasting?"

— SETTING: spring extravaganza ; april 9th, the baseball game — AVAILABILITY: closed starter for DOMINIC HUANG | ( @dominichuang )
Aiysha was more than used to coming to these town events with no purpose whatsoever, well... that was a lie. She loved coming to these things and annoying the wealthy part of Providence Peak with her presence. She loved showing them just how far she had come and not only that, but she absolutely loved refusing to keep her mouth shut whenever someone said something vicious to her. If they could bite, she would bite just as harder.
Speaking of hard, though, she couldn't help but notice someone she had been falling into bed with these last couple of weeks playing in the diamond-shaped field. Aiysha would recognize those muscles with ease from behind her shades, choosing to focus on the hot bodies on the field — yes, bodies. Plural,— rather than the game itself.
Once the game had come to an end, the petite brunette approached that first familiar face she'd spotted on the field and smirked, crossing her eyes as she cocked her head to the side. "You know... I wouldn't have pegged you for a sports man." But then again, they didn't really spend that much time talking about their likes and dislikes outside the bedroom. "Congratulations on the win?"

— SETTING: spring extravaganza ; april 6th, stomias point amusement park — AVAILABILITY: closed starter for AARTI YOON-CASTILLO | ( @aartiyooncastillo )
Since they had enjoyed a nice night out with Hyun Woo the night before, Sara reserved the Saturday to enjoy with her sister and her son at the amusement park. It had been a while since the duo had been to one, and, since she was saving money for Hanbin's cochlear implant, there was no way they would be able to make it to Disney World this summer like Bin had asked her to. It was okay, though... soon, she would tell herself. As she held onto her son's hand, Sara turned to her sister with a smile, while Hanbinnie updated his auntie about the movie from the night before and his father. "Alright, where should we go first?"

— SETTING: spring extravaganza ; april 11th, by the sweet spot food truck — AVAILABILITY: closed starter for SAGE FRANKLIN | ( @sagefranklin )
"... apparently, Mei has set me up with a friend of hers." He shared with Sage as he stepped closer up in line for the Sweet Spot, holding onto Maggie and adjusting her on his hips. "I don't know how I feel about that. Do you think it feels somewhat desperate?" He wasn't desperate, was he? Jacob furrowed his brows, debating on his own questioning as he watched people play around with the pets up for adoption near Barks and Recreation. He should have brought Nabi along, he was sure his beagle would have had fun now that the weather was nicer. "How are things going with you and a certain doctor we know and love?"

— SETTING: spring extravaganza ; april 8th, lucky joe's tent downtown — AVAILABILITY: closed starter for REMI SOLIS | ( @remisolis )
Who doesn't remember that Vine of the guy happily rapping about his tacos and then, all of a sudden, he accidentally drops his taco in slow motion? That was exactly how Dean felt as he exited the line for Lucky Joe's free bagels tasting. Some kids stormed past him, causing him to drop his bagel to the ground even before he'd had a chance to bite on it. "Ugh, why do you hate me so much?" He asked after a groan as he faced up towards the sky. He almost felt like a whiny baby because, well, he was really looking forward to that damn bagel. "Do you believe in curses?" He turned to the person next to him, before picking up the dirty bagel from the ground. "Because I'm pretty sure those kids cursed me. It was a perfectly good bagel!"

Ah, the sun was out again. If Aiysha had been showing off skin even when the weather was cold, it wouldn't be hard to see the store owner sporting clothes that showed off more skin than most people would have liked to see her in. Alas, she didn't care. As the petite woman strolled past the cornhole rows, someone offered her to play the game, and well... she wouldn't mind it. "You should always tell others you'll be great at games." She smirked, telling the other as she picked one of the bean bags the red-head was offering. "It builds confidence." She winked. "You can start." / @jessica-nichols
where: friday evening cornhole games who: open ( @providencepeakstarters )
There were several rows of cornhole boards set up on the lawn, kids picking out their favorite colored bags to throw, a few adults setting up their own games. Jess couldn't remember the last time they'd played the game themselves, maybe at a birthday party or something back in high school. Grabbing the tub of bean bags, Jess grabbed one out, offering it to someone loitering nearby. "Want to play a game? I have no idea how good I'm going to be. I have pretty good hand/eye coordination, but I haven't played this is literally years."

— SETTING: spring extravaganza ; april 10th, the raffle — AVAILABILITY: closed starter for THEA HARRIS | ( @theaxharris )
Aiysha walked among the crowd. Ever since moving back to Providence Peak, there was nothing she loved more than having eyes on her. Whether they were praising her or judging her, she could care less. So, as her voluptuous body paraded around the mayor's tent, her curves in full display in the white dress she'd decided to sport that morning, Aiysh made a b line towards the woman she'd spotted on the crowd, sporting her trademark smirk as she approached Thea.
"Do you ever not look fabulous?" The store owner smiled, greeting Thea with kisses on her cheek. "Are you having fun?"

—Starter for @phoebeyates Location: Stomias Point Amusement Park
She didn't have to say it — he could see it on her face: whatever excitement she felt for the day was overshadowed by the memory of the last time they'd been out together at a city-wide event. It felt like another lifetime ago, and so much had happened since, but he knew he couldn't blame her if her nerves got the best of her. He'd never really explained beyond saying it was a bad day...
Wordlessly, he slipped his hand into hers, pulling her closer to him as their feet fell into step. "What do you wanna do first? Rides? Games? Food?"

availability / @thethaliaclark setting / claret park baseball field, april 9th, during the sixth inning.
though he knew no one would believe him, it wasn't intentional. he didn't set out to hire a collegiate baseball player to be his proxy in the charity game just to piss thalia off, or have someone compete against the collegiate player she sponsored to play in the game. he didn't set out for it to happen, but once he realized the coincidence, well... saul came from a very long, long line of competitive men. if it wasn't for the sponsorship, he probably would've only come out to support phoebe. now that he had some actual stake in the game, saul found himself paying close attention to a sport that he hadn't given a single fuck about in his entire life. oh, and it had absolutely nothing to do with his ex-wife, thalia clark, thank you!
it really, really was a coincidence. he had the sudden bright idea to sponsor a player after discussing the charity game with a few friends, subconsciously remembering thalia bringing up the prospect years ago when they were still married. when he realized thalia was doing the same thing this year, it was only then he remembered it had been her idea in the first place. oops. so, now he had double the reasons to want his team to win the game. of course he expected to see his ex at the baseball game, but he tried his hardest to avoid her. sitting with rachel helped, then running into elijah at the concessions stand, he hadn't much time to look around for thalia (just to ignore her). not until he left for the bathroom during the sixth inning. on his way back to the stands, he saw thalia up ahead and then nearly got knocked over a moment later.
for a second, he thought thalia toppled him. he knew better, though. she was one of the most graceless graceful people he had ever met. that was one of the first things he noticed about thalia that first night they met at the al smith dinner all those years ago: she moved like a swan. that, and her striking eyes. a prolific yogini, she had such elegance and poise about her, it was kind of shocking just how much of a klutz she could be. his hands shot out to grab her forearms. “whoa there, birdie.” just like a swan, her old nickname falling easily from his lips. it was easier to say than her real name. sometimes he still got her mail. he missed when her mail was addressed to: mrs. thalia clark-weissberg. sometimes it said just thalia clark. it hurt every time he read it. “are you trying to kill me before the game is even over because your team is losing?” was her team losing? was his? he truly didn't know.

If Aiysha was being honest, she was actually looking for a certain blonde hair among the crowd and failing miserably in finding her, however, as the beautiful brunette invited her over, Aish couldn't stand there and deny the company. "Well, you wouldn't have to ask me twice, baby girl." With that, Aiysha pulled the chair and sat down, hands easily picking up one of the menus that laid on the table. "Should we order some mimosas?" She asked the other woman. "Does that smile have a name, by the way?" / @cleostjamess
cleo was starting to do better at spending less time at work and more time trying to trying to get a hang of things around providence peak. she felt as though it was time to start making friends, to stop letting her fear hold her back. so she pushed herself out and went to brunch on her own, one leg crossed over the other as she peered over the menu that was place on the table in front of her. she could feel someone lingering close to her table and she assumed it was due to the lack of seating and the mass amount of people that has decided to do the same thing she did. glancing in their direction, she took a deep breath. it was time to step out of her comfort zone. "you're...welcome to join me. i mean, there's room. it's just me." she spoke, offering a small smile.

𝙒𝙃𝙊: Tyler Singh @tysingh 𝙒𝙃𝙀𝙍𝙀: Frederick's Farm - Providence Peak Spring Event
"I'm not sure if you're someone that likes apricots, but my aunt has always been really into baking. I remember as a kid we'd come out here and she'd get a large popcorn with extra butter and a sprinkle of sea salt and then we'd grab a bucket and pick apricots until they were falling out the top." she smiled. "She prefers them in a pie, but I prefer them in preserves or jams, so, you can bet I'll be getting the biggest and juiciest apricots and taking them back to the tea shop, and I'll be selling them there so if you're interested, come on after this week."

— SETTING: spring extravaganza ; april 5th, petting zoo — AVAILABILITY: closed starter for DILAN BARAK | ( @dilanxbarak )
Sara was waiting for Hyun Woo's text saying he was leaving home to meet them at the Drive-in and, in the meantime, she was happy to let Hanbin enjoy the petting zoo downtown. She had just bought some snacks and a sweet lemonade for her son when she noticed a familiar face, holding a wee baby. "Hi, Dilan" She smiled, brushing her short hair behind her ears. "How are you? And how's this sweet princess doing?" She asked, wiggling her fingers at Dilan's baby. From his seat on the bench they were sitting on, Hanbin waved too.

— SETTING: spring extravaganza ; downtown extravaganza — AVAILABILITY: closed starter for MAYA LEE | ( @mayxlee )
"Look, it's a goat!" Jacob cooed Selvi, holding her close to his chest as his seven-month-old baby reached out her chubby arms towards the petting zoo and stole a chuckle from her father's lips. The eldest Lee child spotted his younger sister among the crowd and waved her over to join them. She had specially sewn a bunny outfit for Selvi, so of course Jacob wanted her to see the result live, despite sending her several pictures on his way downtown. "Who's that coming over there?" He asked Selvi as Maya approached them. "Is that imo Maya? Do we want to hang out with her?"

To say that Sara hadn't heard the phrase 'Can we have a puppy?' coming from her son's lips would be an understatement, and, ever since Jamie samchon had moved to Providence Peak alongside Rey, that question had become more and more frequent in the Yoon-Castillo's household. "Eomma says no." Hanbin told uncle Jamie as he gently pet one of the dogs up for adoption, to which, Sara nodded as she gave her best friend a pointed look. "That's because puppies are a big responsibility, Hanbin. Right, samchon?" Fuck... she really did hate saying no to her little boy, but if Sara was going to keep on letting him have everything and do everything he wanted to, her little one was going to grow up more spoiled than she would have liked him to. "Are you ready to take care of one, Hanbin-ie?" With an innocent eye-roll, Sara leaned in to press a kiss on the taller man's cheek. "Hey, sweet cheeks. How are you doing today?" / @jamesxreed
Where: Barks and Recreation adoption event Who: @providencepeakstarters
Capping at 3!
The professor had convinced himself (something he seemed to be doing a lot these days) that he wanted Rey to be able to play with the dogs who were up for adoption. To be fair, Rey was indeed having her fun playing with them but it was definitely testing James' self-control not to adopt another dog and make the excuse that Rey was lonely. Convincing himself yet again, he reminded himself that he barely had time to take care of Rey now. He didn't want to end up neglecting a young pup.
As he sat and watched Rey play, he spoke to the person beside him. "Do you have one of your own or are you here considering of adopting one?" he asked.
