Off, but slightly on topic bc of Munchkin* (I'm deep into writing random Wenovan scenes that are saturated with sex and pet names, sorry not sorry):

Paramount is the distributor (BTW, Ortega's new movie Finestkind is on Paramount+, so...good luck to your convictions 💀). You kids will also want to boycott anything Spyglass Entertainment, the production company, puts out, since they're the motherfuckers who fired Barrera and put out that ridiculous fucking statement. I'm so angry about this, and it's not even a fandom that I've dipped my toes in (yet).

And honestly, the only moneymaker that Spyglass has going for them right now IS the Scream franchise (and maybe Hellraiser, but that's Hulu). They're shooting themselves in the fucking foot, but then again, racist, warmongering colonizers like to do that and then cry about their own victimhood.

Regardless of how hot of a commodity Ortega is right now, I'm betting that she's probably shitting her see-through dress (pick one 😆) and/or is angry right now. If she truly is into all the activism and humanitarian causes like she says, she should really show some solidarity with Barrera and quit Scream 7 (I know that's hard for her, given how she HAD to work when everyone else in her industry wasn't...not sorry that I don't believe in exceptions, even if they are approved, during a major Hollywood strike). She could always use the "I'm too busy with other projects" excuse (which really wouldn't be a lie, girl has a million projects to catch up on thanks to the strike). She doesn't even have to say a peep about 🇵🇸 right now. Just get the fk out of that contract (if it's already signed) before getting muzzled by the psychotic assholes who fired Barrera.

Or, be a bitch and stay on the project, utilizing the popularity privilege you have to stay because Spyglass thinks you'll rake in the 🏦 for them, and let your humanitarian political convictions just dissolve in the hot air within which they were spoken/typed/shared.

Honestly, I will lose whatever respect I was able to muster for her if Barrera goes and she stays.

And I said this elsewhere, but I hope there is cause for action on Barrera's part. I dunno what kind of speech clauses there are in their contracts, but the ones I signed never said I couldn't be politically active (yes, I am on IMDB 🫠✨). If I were Melissa, I'd be on the phone to my lawyer to see if they breached my contract (and then sue the crap out of them for breaching it).

Anyway. I finally get back into the Scream thing after one of my friends urges me to do so, and they fucking pull this shit. Muzzling actresses for speaking the truth. Reeks like Hell of "sit down, shut up, and be pretty". While we still have that bowl-cutted fuck-faced smegmatron asshole on Stranger Things, which I don't want to watch anymore either.

God damn. It's like every single kickass thing I get into, gets SULLIED by the shittiest of shit people. Harry Potter, ruined bc JKR is a transphobe. Stranger Things (which, BTW, was the fucking alternate pop entertainment that I switched over to, in terms of fanning), defiled now thanks to Schnapp. And now Scream.

I swear to the gods, I'm just waiting for the other shoe to drop on Wednesday. I wouldn't be surprised if Ortega really wasn't as worldly and tolerant as she has tried to profess (religious indoctrination has declined significantly with Gen Z, yet I watched her during one semi-recent interview yammer on about being a Xtian...look, no one does that these days, not with the white Xtian nationalists trying to raze the country to the ground, and no matter how good a Xtian you think you are, the whole damn religion is toxic, as are all Abrahamic religions...Xtianity being one of the worst if not the worst offender, given its shitty impact on the world as the PRIMARY religious colonizers who destroyed entire civilizations...🇲🇽 being one of them). She speaks a lot of heartfelt tolerance and flirts with LGBTQ+ sensibilities (the queerbaiting by Netflix itself around this was unreal), but when it comes down to giving what the fans want/fan service by exploring a romance with Enid in Wednesday, AS EXECUTIVE PRODUCER, she'd rather not have any romance whatsoever 🚩But I guess we'll see, won't we....

My cynicism is strong because I'm old and I've seen a lot of shit and disappointment. Nothing really surprises me anymore. Y'all kiddos, find out the precise assholes to target and boycott them/don't buy their shit/don't go see the movies. Is it really that hard to tell ya not to spend money? Money's tight...we can afford to protest with our wallets. (And now I'm sad that I don't get to wear my brand new fuzzy Ghostface slippers I bought to wear for Scream 7. But I got them through TEMU, so I don't think any money went to Spyglass, huahahaha.)

Hmm, Harry/Bill is a ship that actually never occurred to me. A friend of mine is a Bill fan so I've come across a ship or two involving him but so far none ever convinced me more than him and Fleur. I just have a soft spot for them. Although I would love to read a well-written Severus/Bill someday; there's just something about Severus and the Weasleys that I like... And Harry... Tbh, apart from my OTP I'm pretty content with whom the characters ended up in canon, I love him and Ginny. 😂 Still, thinking about Harry and Bill a bit closer I can see something special happening between them. Harry always had this look of admiration for Bill in the books, he was definitely fascinated by how wild and complacent Bill was. I think they could be intriguing given the right plot so I would give them a gentle C+. 😆

Charlie and Draco... Oh, boy. Okay, so, my strongest Charlie headcanon is that he is aroace. 😆 Not even the bitch herself paired him up with anyone, it was always just him and the dragons. And that's the point where it gets interesting because who in the books is a dragon if not Draco? 👀 I'm really not a fan of Draco (mainly because of what the fandom made of him) but if I would break with my strongest Charlie headcanon it would be for that ship. There's so much potential for drama and angst between these two, for Draco to fall in love with a blood traitor of all things and Charlie to fall in love for the first time ever, both of them being torn between their families and what they would think about it, not only because of who they are but because of the age gap. Stolen nights in the Dragon Sanctuary, hushed whispers, hidden away in the darkness... Ugh, I can absolutely see that, straight A for me. 😅

I know I stated some of this in my review, but now you have left me with so many questions and I want to know!

1.) If Dumbledore and Henry Potter were best friends, how do you see their friendship working out when Grindlewald came into the picture? We all know Dumbledore was infatuated with Grindlewald and the Deathly Hallows and sort of blinded by the "Greater Good" nonsense. I'd like to think Henry helped him to overcome the darkness involved with Grindlewald.

2.) Would you ever think of delving into a few one-shots about the Potters? Maybe through Sirius' POV or something? You just added only a hint of what Harry's relatives were like and now I want more.

3.) Have you ever thought about what Lily's parents were like? We don't really know anything about them in the books. I would hope they were kind people. We don't even know their names. What do you think their names were? I could see her mom having a flower name too.

4.) This is 5 out of 6 of the chapters. I'm beggining to think that next chapter will be when Sirius is arrested, so we may not get a chapter on the fate of the Longbottoms. They were tortured after the Potters died. Do you think Sirius ever learns about the fate of the Longbottoms before escaping prison? How much information do you think he overhears in prison and how much does he learn after he escapes?

5.) Who do you think Harry takes after more? Fleamont or Euphemia? I'm curious what Harry has inherited from them. I get the feeling Harry is very much like Fleamont the more we learn about him.

6.) Also, who invented the wolfsbane potion? Was that ever said in the books? I know Snape brewed it for Remus, but idk who invented it. That seems like a Fleamont invention. One of his son's best friends was a werewolf after all.

7.) Why Sirius, why would you burn a mark into your forearm? You know they will accuse him of burning off the dark mark. 😫

I hope that wasn't too many questions lol. I do have plenty more, but they would probably lead to spoilers that I'm sure you don't want to answer. 😆 This is making me really excited for Brumous now! I loved the chapter!

1. I see Henry as being the voice of reason. I don’t believe he ever like Grindelwald but he wasn’t about to throw away his friendship with Dumbledore by telling him as much. I believe Henry was there to listen to Dumbledore and drive him in the right direction. He was there through it all, being a pillar of strength, especially after the final duel. I think Fantastic Beasts is missing a golden opportunity by not having Newt being sent to potions prodigy Fleamont Potter. It would be a great connection to the original source material to see Harry’s grandfather kicking ass and taking names.

2. WELL @bellmel has told me I need to write the story where Sirius leaves home at 16. So I’ve added that to my queue. I always wanted to do the three times the Potters defied Voldemort story. I have the first time worked out (which you heard a snippet about in Backstabber 5). @funbunnypotter26 bounced around ideas with me on that one looooong ago when we were talking about Blackkinnon. I don’t have the other two times figured out so it may not be anytime soon. I’d be open to writing one-shots or short stories in that era. I have no plans for a novel length story. Backstabber would be the longest in that time period.

3. So I don’t have too many headcanons about them because I don’t think I’d ever write them. I know they were Anthony and Iris Evans. They died in a car crash together before Harry was born. It’s why Petunia says Jily died in a car crash too. Easy to remember. The bitch. I imagine they were kinder people, exasperated and upset by the sister feud.

4. You are correct in your assumption. The final chapter is called Sirius Black, the final betrayal. It’s a tricky chapter to write because I can’t seem to get the showdown between Sirius and Peter quite right. Nothing seems climatic enough while I’m writing. I think Sirius would learn about the Longbottoms once Bellatrix is brought to Azkaban. She’s crazy enough to scream her final act of love for Lord Voldemort all day long.

5. This is a hard question for me to answer because I haven’t written the characters on paper enough to really get a feel for them. My initial gut reaction is Fleamont though with Euphemia’s protectiveness. Fleamont is very adventurous and a family man, I mean you saw that as him going on a whim to a dragon reserve to attempt to work with a highly toxic ingredient because he read something in a journal all in the name of protecting his family. You also saw Harry in his sass when he said he’d love to rub his dragon pox all over Walburga and Orion. But I also see him quirky like James Sirius. He rambles and can be very excitable. Meanwhile, Euphemia is like a mama bear (much like Molly Weasley). She has gotten into screaming matches with Walburga, attempted to hex her but was only stopped by the more levelheaded Fleamont, and very protective of her family (especially her sons. Yes, I said sons). Her love language is cooking and buying things for her loved ones, making sure they’re comfortable. So Harry does inherit Euphemia’s fierce protectiveness.

6. It was stated in the books that Damocles Belby invented the Wolfsbane potion. It was also said in the books he doesn’t really get along with the family much. This is during a Slug Club meeting when Marcus Belby talks about his family. I made Fleamont Damocles’ godfather and he had helped Damocles with the Wolfsbane Potion (in my mind, it was way more than Fleamont ever let on but didn’t take any of the credit because he didn’t care for the glory or recognition. He just wanted to help Remus and Damocles had some ideas which Fleamont helped develop and nurture). Damocles’ father, Fergus, is James’ godfather. So Fleamont and Fergus were bestie potion makers and basically Fergus was jealous and upset that Fleamont helped his son develop a groundbreaking potion and didn’t come to him with the idea. So basically Fergus is a jealous ass and you better believe we see him again in the AU. He’s slanted to appear in Precipice which takes place after Brumous.

7. Sirius wanted to feel something, to make sure he wasn’t trapped in some nightmare. He needed to know he was still alive and capable of feeling, which really he was too numb to register much of anything until he heard Harry’s cries.
