I just read your ask about understanding Carla's character and you're about her not just being manipulated but abused by her parents. Though it doesn't really show until S3 (or at least I didn't fully realized it until then) there are signs way before when you rewatch everything (like her father blaming her for the watches being stolen in S1). It's something you can easily oversee but once you know what to look for its obvious. And it kinda breaks my heart to think about her childhood and everything because the manipulation and threads surely didn't just start when she was a teenager😔 And to make it all worse she's an only child, too. I think that not wanting to feel alone anymore was one of the reasons why she got into a relationship so early..

yeah 😔 like carla has lived by her parents expectations her entire life (i.e. polo and being with him) and she doesn’t really know what it’s like to have real loving parents. that’s why it’s even more heartbreaking how she still tries to take care of her mom in season 3, and especially so when she finds out how her mom was just letting teodoro do all of that to her in the dining room scene. she’s always cleaning up their messes and caring about them way more than they care for her/not being deserving of her love and i think that’s why she and samuel bond so much because he’s the same way with nano and pilar (although i understand pilar IS loving she’s just kind of neglectful and irresponsible, but also she’s a working mom)

but yes there definitely are signs before season 3. teodoro puts so much pressure on her like how do you expect your sixteen year old daughter to fix the whole mess that you got your family in like make it make sense. genuinely i hate him and i hate how the worst punishment he got is “valerio being his boss” like what is that. and also beatriz too because she just stood there and let everything happen like how evil

i forgot to mention but like. regarding her texting her dad in the first episode of season 2 about christian going to the cops i don’t think people realize she at this point she had no idea her father was truly capable of hurting someone to get what he wants like she was panicked and scared about what christian would do but there’s no way in hell she wanted him hurt. in the hospital her remorse for what happened to him is 100% real just like her remorse for marina. she blames herself for everything and it hurts me 😔
