during the episode, we cut between danny and the lexcorps engineers and GiW arguing/aborting each other

or how the lexcorps engineers delayed the destruction of the GZ sufficiently and actually saved the day

So, in Season 1 episode 2: One of a Kind, Jazz mentions that Maddie is working on some new self-generating energy?

What if that was true? What if that was one of the things Maddie was studying about Ghosts and Ectoplasm? The self-generation energy that it put out and the ways it could be used?

What if Maddie became really famous for it?

A lot of companies would be interested in something like that. StarLabs, Queen Industries, Wayne Enterprises and most horrifyingly of all - Lexcorp. As Maddie becomes more famous and her research is more heard of the necessity for Ghosts to be captured for harvest rather than destruction grows more important. This means Danny is being torn in multiple directions.

Protect the ghosts, protect the humans.

Support his mother, avoid her gaze and anybody who could be in the market to buy 'Ectoplasm' or the endless suppliers in the form of a ghost.

Danny now has to choose between fighting against some of the biggest names in science to protect Ghosts, take the risk and try to get the millionaires to listen to a teenager, or risk everything and go to the Justice League and hope they'll listen to him before he or his friends become used as a permanent battery for some rich guys tech.
