I just ran the numbers and if things keep going how they're going I will be 42 by the time I pay off my student loans
#these are just my privately held student loans by the by#which i still have to make monthly payments on#this is not my federally held student loans#which is whats currently in deferal and that a possible $10k in forgiveness is being dangled over my head#thanks supreme court 🙃#even if that $10k gets approved ill still be on the hook for $12k to the fed#im not looking for advice im just stating the facts#oh man i hope i can still get a good income based repayment once the fed loans come out of deferral#i was at $81/month before and since then ive gotten at least a $5/hr raise 😬#those loans are going to be a nuclear bomb for whatever party lets that deferral slide#itll be a rude wake up call that millenials and gen z are no longer shiftless teenagers and are in fact voting adults#by 'slide' i mean 'expire' i am tired and coffee is still kicking in
