Logic dictates that since we don't have money to do our normal Wednesday thing that i am fine to sit down to do something that requires several hours of Attention and Focus but anxiety says that it's Possible my dad calls me and asks if I want to do smth anyway bc sometimes he gets tips at work so for now I will pace in my room while listening to Chinese Tattoo by Roar and torturing my comic relief character /silly

Brandon & Viv’s Helluva stream

Sorry for posting this until now, I did a lot of stuff last weekend that kept me away from social media. Anyway, here are the facts I could heard, most of the info is about the “making of” of the episodes but still was an interesting stream. 

7:30- Viv wanted to give Blitzo a “clown name” but later she realized that “Blitz” sounds better, so she decided to add “the O is silent” idea to the name.

14:30- Episode two is in the works and will be out soon. This episode will be interesting because ��is everyone’s favorite” according to Viv and “is going to be full of love and fanservice” according to Brandon.

25:30-Every weapon in Helluva is designed (sometimes from different angles) to help animators know how they look like, because in the storyboards all the prompts are draw in a very simple way.

27:50- Viv doesn’t like to announce dates until she is completely sure about the exact day when the animation is finished.

28:10- The crew is trying to finish the second episode this month. If it is not ready this one, it will be the next for sure. 

30:20-Helluva’s pilot didn’t have many voice actors so the ones at that moment (around 4 people) had to “double up” some extra characters

31:20- According to Viv, up to three other characters can be “double up” by other voice actors/actresses, which saves a lot of money.

31:30- For example, Brandon also did the voice of the doctor in the pilot

32:55- For those who don’t know, an animatic is like the blueprint of an animation. Represent the time, the phase of the animation and how fast things go in the episode.

33:45- There are different departments for different parts of the episode, like backgrounds, prompts, color, clean up, etc.

35:00- Sam (@probfakeblonde on twitter) is the one in charge of background. She likes to look at different online stuff to get inspired (or “shopping” like she calls it) to design the different places for the episodes.

37:05- There is another department called “key colors” where artists make the color palette for the key scenes of the episodes

37:30- There will be a clown character in the second episode and the scene will have “amazing colors”

39:00- Viv helped in the color palatte for the scene where Blitzo is running away in the woods.

46:50-A lot of Blitzo’s lines are improvised by Brandon

48:30- Brandon and Viv used to meet up once a week in a restaurant to write the first season’s episodes

50:00-Viv would like to do a stream with all the Helluva’s voice cast in the future

52:00- Viv and Chris O’Neal (also known as Oney from Oney plays) are friends

56:00- “Working with Jinkx Monsoon was great” according to Viv. They like Helluva so much, not only they did the voice of Martha but also collaborated with other voices for the first episode (they are a famous drag queen from Dru Paul Drag Race btw).

58:00- The cast for Helluva now is done through a casting agency called Horseless Cowboy. So, if you are interested in working for Helluva you would have to contact them. The cast is very small tho. so, you would have to be patient for a roll to be needed in the future episodes.

59:50- There is a possibility of bringing the characters of the first episode back. Maybe at the end of the season.  

1:01:00- Helluva is a story that could go on eternally, but Viv is interested in the plot being based in the emotional grown of the characters through the episodes.

1:08:00- Despite they messing up, the Imps are actually good in what they do, there even will be a future episode focused in their abilities.

1:10:00- There is 5 board artists and they have the freedom to express how the scenes that are not described in the script play out. For example, the fights, because in the script it just says “they fight” but the board artists choose how exactly that happens.

PS: For those who dont know Viv made the voice of the cashier in the first episode.  

PS2: Also Mara Wilson, the actress who play the rol of Matilda, did the voice for Mrs. Mayberry
