so last week one of the swedish morning news/talk shows interviewed this woman who works as a security guard in the stockholm metro, because she has started a project to help the many homeless people who use the metro system as a place to keep warm now that winter is approaching by supplying them with winter coats and sleeping bags and stuff.

i didn’t get a chance to watch the interview until today, and i basically got the shock of my fucking life. they showed pictures of some of the people she had helped, and one of them was my mother’s ex-boyfriend. that is, the guy who abused her emotionally and physically for three years, isolated her from her family and friends, got her into deep debt, came THIS close to actually killing her, and then eventually left her with ptsd and whiplash.

i just... 

i just have a lot of conflicting feelings about this.

five years and 1000+ urls later and i'm finally moving on. things just got too messy with over 50k posts and whatnot. it's been a pleasure, my friends. i'll keep this as an archive because i honestly couldn't delete it.

i just discovered that they put fresh prince of bel air on swedish netflix so there go my plans for the next few weeks

this just in: my grandfather is a fucking asshole bastard jerk and i never thought i'd actually say this about anyone but rn i literally wish he was dead

being sick fucking sucks omg basically i just had my third shower today (because i keep getting sweaty and exhausted doing really simple things) and i stupidly decided to shave my legs and now i'm out of breath and need to go lie down for a while

i really really very much want this bag but it's really fucking expensive and there's just no way i can justify it to myself

omg I just had a total moment with the guy who worked the register at the bookstore. As I was paying, he asked if I wanted to become a member of their new frequent customer club thingy (and I was like hells yeah because books). While we were sorting that out, this middle aged guy in a suit who was walking past apparently overheard us and felt the need to add to the conversation, because he stopped, leered at us. and told us this suuuper gross misogynistic and also cissexist joke (it was a pun based on the word "member") and while this guy was busy laughing at himself, the guy at the register and I looked at each other and had this amazing moment of silent communication of "whaaaat the actual fuuuuck" and then I left while he was totally pretending to not get the "joke" so he wouldn't have to laugh

I've been doing the whole LCHF thing for over a month now and it's been going really well, but I've had an awful day and I'm really angry and frustated and I'm also on my period so I bought some sweet potato and I'm eating it right now and it's amazing.

this has been the longest day ever omg here are a few of the things that happened today: a couple of students had computer problems, and were not at all happy when i failed to fix it for them a coworker had computer problems too but att least she didn't get angry when i couldn't fix it i had to cancel a class because an actual honest to god fistfight broke out in my classroom i had to deal with the aftermath of the fight (taking one of the kids to the nurse, giving both oral and written statements about exactly what happened etc) i missed lunch lots and lots of photo copying because the seventh graders haven't gotten their laptops yet so everything has to be on paper the weekly staff meeting and then a huge school wide parent-teacher meeting to finish off a completely insane day

isn't it hilarious how guys claim that all girls dress the same when, among my 23 male students, i count twelve (12) black adidas track pants
