Return to Reims
Our final stop on our return journey from the south of France was exactly the same as our first: Reims. The city seems to be ideally placed for people passing from Calais to the east of the country; it’s the largest town on that side that’s a good two or three hours’ drive, not too far, not too close, ideal for anyone who has a couple of hour ferry crossing as part of their day as well. For us…

These boots walked Auschwitz and Birkenau. They also made it out. I am therefore officially luckier than 43,525 people, many of whom's shoes or boots remain there till this day. #inlieuofphotos #europe2014 #instacatchupfrenzy

Gorges du Verdon
In the week we were static on our European tour we didn’t move around a huge amount. We spent most of our time relaxing on the beach, taking walks, and generally resting up and recharging our batteries. Massif de l'Esterel
Its back to our #Europe2014 tour, and for a week we actually stayed still.
All told it look us six days, from Saturday to Thursday, to make our twisted indirect journey from our flat in Twickenham to the south of France, covering 1,300 miles and stopping by Reims, Verdun, Nancy, Basel, the Alps, Lake Annecy and Turin on our whistlestop tour of Europe. The next stage of our holiday was a bit more tranquil: a week in the south of France in the Esterel mountains. A whole…

This trip
Just a thought.  My photos are not the best.  I brought my “great” camera on the trip, but something happened to the lens so I could not use it at all.  These photos are all taken from my iPhone 5c, which are not the best.  Eric took some great photos from his Galaxy but… well, I have a Mac, he has Windows, I have an iPhone, he has an Android.  Yeah, they don’t get along. It’s been difficult to get his photos but, if I can ever figure it out, I will download so you can get a better perspective.
