So long story short this fandom is small, which allows the author to be very involved with his fans, and, just recently he put a lot of his old drafts and such of his books up for auction! I was unable to outbid someone in the first round, but, I managed to knab some of the many first starts to Factotum!! I just received the package over the weekend and have read the whole of it. Here's where the spoilers come in so stop reading now if you haven't read as far as Foundling and Lamplighter!

Things are much different in these few different versions, We start off with the sea voyage to Brandenbrass, though Rossamünd is much more anxious about the recent trail, his suspicions are very much back and forth, and he begins to lose trust in Europe, and even, in his old masters, whom are very much fathers to him. For a hot moment he felt very alone, and disassociated himself for a while... I thought I'd illustrate it since it was so...sad. There's a lot more to the drafts though, Rossamünd being WAY more paranoid, so worried he messed up Europe's treacle, Europe being a bit more *rude than usual, Fransitart being protective of Rossamünd, more so than he is in the canon, and some funny moments we didn't get to read, like Rossamünd having his first full beer 😂

I love this series with all my heart, the art, the story, the characters, and it so cool to get to see how things start out, and how it ends up! A special thank you to the one and only DM Cornish, and amazing author, and crazily enough, a great friend encouraging me on with my art, even my own personal work.
