Poinsettia. (euphorbia pulcherrima) The plant is indigenous to Mexico and Central America and gives colour almost all year around but especially in the cooler months. It has tiny flowers but big red modified leaves around the flowers that give it a spectacular look. I prune it every so it looks it’s best. Try using the prunings as garden stakes and you’ll get extra plants as well. 😁 It’s so easy to strike. All you do is put it in a slightly moist spot. There is an urban myth that they are deadly poisonous but in fact they are only mildly irritant like most milky sap plants.
