ha! if you could really call it a quest. he and minsoo were sent on a quest to retrieve a cursed book that the camp directors never specifically told them the name of. not that it would’ve helped them any... still! they were only sent because the quest was a) hilariously easy and b) because they’d been begging for ages to be put on a quest. and they still failed. not that either one of them would admit to it being a failure, though.

Kangdae was running on fumes. As a grad student, half of his time was spent frantically pulling together his independent research paper (which, mind you, was a living nightmare that made Kangdae want to tear his own hear out no matter how passionate he was about the subject), and the other half was spent waiting tables. 

50% plus 50% equals 100%. There wasn’t any time for sleeping, or eating, or - in this case - training. 

He stepped into the archery shed, searching out his locker and finding his bow and arrow right where he left it. Kangdae wasn’t naturally gifted at archery, but it was his weapon of choice, and he was a half decent marksman. He wasn’t a son of Apollo, but he usually hit his target. 

He was about to leave to fit in a quick practice when he heard footsteps behind him.

Textbooks, notebooks, and papers littered every available surface of the study room. Joon Woo was pacing the length of the room in agitation; studying for this test was tough, but Joon Woo knew they couldn’t put it off like other students did. They already struggled enough as is even with all the time set aside for this type of thing.

Feeling the pitter patter of rain drops, Joon Woo groaned.

Great. They had reached that point, had they? At least the Poseidon dorms were built for these episodes.

They needed a break. Actually, they needed food. Joon Woo made their way to the kitchen. As they whipped out ingredients, their thoughts drifted to another demigod.

If I’m struggling, how bad is he doing?

The demigod sighed to themself, suspecting the kid probably hadn’t even picked up a pen, let alone the study material since leaving the classroom. Maybe Joon Woo should give them a call? The Hermes boy wasn’t exactly great for studying, but Joon Woo enjoyed their company and they didn’t want the other to fail their class simply because he wasn’t prepared. Joon Woo could fill that role for both of them at the pace they were going.

Picking up their phone, Joon Woo sent a text: Minsoo, want to study for the test together? I’m making food, too if you’re interested?

There had been plenty of questionable costumes, as one of the costume contest judges he’d made an extra effort to be judgemental tonight, but when he passed Minsoo Vincent’s whole body did a double take. After initially passing the other with little thought he rebounded back, his mouth agape a little as he took it all in. “I’ve been hearing stories about the haunted trail but truthfully, I can’t imagine anything on that trail is scarier than what I’m looking at right now... This is terrifying. ”

               sometimes, people like to set themselves up for disaster. exhibit a: sage agreeing to showcase some of his pyrokinesis skills on minsoo’s vlog channel (under the guise of “magic tricks”, obviously). 

why? only the gods may know. some things in life are just bound to go wrong, and the entire set up of this just SCREAMS catastrophe. @euminsoo and sage together? chaos. throw fire and a video recording into the mix and you can count on the world to end soon enough--or at least wait for eonia to burn to the ground. 

and yet, sage’s sanguine smile does not betray any of this concern when he faces the camera. pyrokinesis might be dangerous, but it is still an ability that he enjoys showing off. especially to unsuspecting humans; they are so easily impressed. “ please don’t try this at home, ” he solemnly speaks, averting his gaze to the bright candle in front of him. his attention is divided between three things: the candle, the camera, and minsoo. and that is probably the first issue that should’ve rang alarm bells. “ what do you want to see? ” his fingers dance around the candle; they brighten the fire, then jokingly shape it into a small copy of minsoo. “ you’ve never looked hotter, soo. should we try to see if this version of you is a better dancer, too? ”

🔁 › if your muse could have another gods powers, what would they be?

she'd love to have apollo's powers of vitakinesis because it would be useful to help people feel better when in battle or just if someone has a scape or cut. for her benefit, she'd also like demeter's chlorokinesis so she can just manifest her own food instead of taking the time to go to the supermarket to get new supplies.

she's probably used her powers on a mortal to nudge people together a few times without meaning to. so far, she hasn't really seen anything from what the mist would have made them seen.

definitely. he’s always looked at the dionysus house with a bit of envy, as their powers are fun at parties, and most importantly, their father tends to stay out of his kids’ business. however, apollo’s powers are ironically perfectly suited to beck’s strengths & interests. if he has a chance of feeling at home in any house, apollo’s is probably his best shot.
