Nikoji:
Seiji stared, shocked at the voice coming out of her roommate’s mouth. Her annoying, infuriating, messy roommate. The last person she would ever suspect to possess that kind of talent. Sure, she sometimes heard sweet notes from the bathroom when Nikola was taking a shower, but she never would have expected this.
Her roommate was on the stage, and she was enchanting.
Seiji never understood how sailors could be lured to their death by only the voices of sirens, but listening to Nikola, Seiji realized how sailors must have felt. Those soft pink lips gave way to a voice so powerful Seiji didn’t doubt for a second she would follow it to the end of the world. And when Nikola let herself go to vocalize the melody? Seiji felt an unfamiliar flush creep on her cheeks. The sweet, dulcet oh’s that poured out of Nikola’s mouth were quite easily the loveliest things Seiji had ever heard.
And if that wasn’t enough, singing only highlighted the attractiveness of Nikola — Seiji wasn’t blind. Nikola poured her entire being into singing, and her body responded to it (and the stupid crop top Eugenia made her wear certainly did not help Seiji’s crisis). Nikola’s sweat gave her body a faint sheen which, when under the right light, sparkled much to Seiji’s annoyance. The subtle muscle on her stomach expanded and contracted when she sang, and Seiji found herself hypnotized by the movement. Singing, Seiji decided, brought out things in Nikola she never would have noticed before.
The worst part of it all? Nikola’s singing made Seiji realize how damn much she wanted to kiss her: to kiss those soft, pink lips; to turn those sweet notes into breathy sighs; to run her lips over Nikola’s neck, stomach and taste the saltiness that faint sheen of sweat left. The fantasy left her dizzy and full of want.
“Merde,” whispered Seiji as the unfamiliar blush blazed to a full-on inferno. She knew coming to Nikola’s concert was a mistake.
Eugessie:
“Wow, didn’t expect to see Jessie Coste herself at my gig,” said an unfamiliar voice from behind Jessie. The blonde whipped around, ready to defend herself before one of her half-sister’s band mates, but the retort quickly died in her mouth.
Jessie Coste only ever shut up for two reasons: either she had won the argument or someone very very pretty crossed paths with her.
In this situation, Jessie found herself definitively in situation two.
The girl in front of her was gorgeous: her skin was a warm honey color and her dark hair was messy beyond belief, but it was done in a way that only served to accentuate her beauty. Her short eyebrows were raised in a teasing expression, and her round nose was scrunched as a result of the heart-shaped smile that seemed to stretch from ear-to-ear. The black strapless bra she wore was obviously made to be worn in a public space without much scandal. Jessie nonetheless appreciated the peak of cleavage it provided and the teasing definition of muscle over her stomach that would have been missed with a shirt on.
But her arms.
Her arms were muscular in a way that Jessie would have killed to run her hands up-and-down. Preferably while her lips were occupied with the stranger’s own.
Jessie raised her eyes back up to the stranger’s, who smirked. “Like what you see, Coste?” the perfect stranger said with a teasing lilt. Jessie’s face twisted into a pout and huffed.
“I don’t need to tell you anything,” Jessie said. “Besides, don’t you have a gig to get back to?” The stranger laughed, and Jessie found she quite liked that, too. “Got me there, cutie. Are you excited to see me onstage or something?”
Jessie scoffed, “As if. I wouldn’t even know where to look.”
“Really? And here I thought you were checking me out earlier,” the stranger ignored Jessie’s indignant squawk and pulled out a pair of drumsticks from the waistband of her sweats. “But in case you really can’t find me, I’m the drummer so I’ll be in the back.” Jessie tried to feign indifference, but it seemed that the stranger saw right through it, as she winked teasingly before turning around to leave. “Meet me backstage after the show, I’d love to grab a soda with you.”
Jessie positively glared at the stranger as she left, twirling a drumstick around her fingers. She knew coming to Nikola’s gig was a mistake.
