The Pearl of the Sea (EPIC: Poseidon Fic)
Tumblr media
GUESS WHO HAS COVER ART BAYBEEEEEEEEE 😤😤😤 What a great way to announce that Chapter 6 of EPIC: The Siren Saga is out now on AO3!
Still not over this incredible piece by @kirstenly! She truly is such a talent; if you aren't following her, you should probably go remedy that because you are missing out.
Actually, no excerpt for you until you at least go check out her stuff. Go ahead. I'll wait.
Tumblr media
Did you see her Hermes comic? Or the one with Ody talking about how much he loves Penelope?
Okay good. Anyways, here's that excerpt you were looking for:
“Always such a flatterer,” Poseidon chuckled. His siren turned to pout at him, but he cut her off with a playful narrow of his eyes before she could refute the challenge to her sincerity. “I suppose fate spun along as intended, then. Or perhaps, my clever little weaver took the threads into her own hands,” he remarked.  The girl spun over her shoulder, her face gradually shifting from surprised to delighted. She beamed up at him and Poseidon refused to admit just how much that expression warmed his heart—how all of it had warmed his heart, really. She was such an unassuming, fragile thing, and yet something about her stubbornness and passion seemed to sweep him up like a fish in a net. No matter how hard he swam against the ropes, they never seemed to yield, the cords woven together with determination and intention. It was past the point of denying that this fisherman’s daughter had caught him hook, line, and sinker, but Poseidon was still in disbelief that her pull had been so strong. Maybe the ocean was as drawn to her as she was to it. Maybe he too needed to stop fighting what felt right. His siren was about to respond, surely to offer some cheeky quip, but the pair were interrupted by a third voice breaking into the fold.  “Well well well, aren’t you a sight for sore eyes?” Poseidon knew that voice. It was a rich, lilting mezzo, and each word dripped like the smoothest honey known to man or god.
Oooooh new player enters the fold~ Want to find out who? Then read now on AO3!

Hii, hope you're ok, fed and hydrated 🙇‍♀️☺️
I had made an ask not too long ago when you wrote the Epic the Musical stuff (btw LOVE what you're doing for the x reader part of this fandom, I was STARVED)
(If you already saw it, I'm sorry, plz ignore me-)
It was about my manz Poseidon and something sweet/angsty about comfort after the events of Polyphemus (and maybe helping him find peace in his heart) OR even worse better: finding him after 600 strikes and tending to him, helping him deal with the loss and stop his quest for vengeance
A/n: Thank you! I just been very tired from work >< and I am sorry! I thought I had this but my inbox must have fucked up 😩.

The smell of blood hit you, your heart aching with your every step sinking into the sand.
And then you saw him.
Poseidon—the tyrant of the seas, the feared and untouchable god—was on his knees. His trident lay shattered beside him, and his body, once immaculate, was carved in deep crimson. His hair was matted with sweat and blood, but more haunting than the injuries was the look in his eyes: not anger, not pain, but a quiet, hollow kind of stillness.
You approached slowly, your breath caught in your throat. “Poseidon…” your lips quivered for a moment as you knelt down beside him. You didn't mind the fact that your dress was getting wet, stained because the only thing that mattered was the man in front of you.
He didn’t look up. “Leave me.”
His voice was hoarse, the usual power stripped away. But you didn’t leave.
Shaking your head you gently brushed aside the damp strands of hair from his forehead. He flinched—just slightly—but didn’t stop you.
“You’re hurt,” you whispered.
“I am a god,” he muttered, as if that word alone should erase his suffering. As if something like that mattered in your eyes.
“And even gods bleed,” you said, soft but firm. “Let me help.”
You didn’t wait for permission. You tore strips from your dress, pressing them to his worst wounds. He hissed quietly but didn’t push you away. For a long while, there was only the sound of your hands working, the slow rhythm of your breathing, and the faint crash of waves somewhere deep within his soul.
“I deserved to lose,” he said suddenly, eyes cast to the ground. “I was arrogant. Cold.”
You paused, fingers stilling over a bruised rib. “You were hurt. Before the battle, long before. You built walls so no one could touch you—not even the ones who tried.”
His silence was confirmation.
You cupped his face, tilting it toward you. “You don’t have to carry all of it alone anymore.”
For the first time, Poseidon met your eyes—not with disdain or godly superiority, but with something raw and uncertain. His hand, trembling, reached up to rest against yours.
“I don’t know how to be… anything else.”
“Then let me show you,” you said. “One step at a time.”
He leaned into your touch, just slightly, and for the first time in centuries, Poseidon let himself be held.
"I don’t understand you,” he said finally. “You touch a monster and treat it like a man.”
“You’re not a monster, Poseidon. You’re just… hurt. Angry. Alone.” You turned to him. “But I’ve seen who you are beneath all of that.”
He shook his head, and for a moment his voice cracked. “You saw me broken. That is not who I am.”
“It is,” you said gently. “But that’s not all you are. You’re also the one who bore those 600 strikes and stood back up. The one who lets me be close, even when it scares him.”
His jaw tightened, his gaze slipping back to the sea. But this time, when you placed your hand over his heart, he didn’t move away.
“You don’t have to be Poseidon the Tyrant with me,” you whispered. “You can just be… you.”
He looked at you then, and something shattered—not in violence, but in quiet surrender. His defenses fell like waves retreating from shore.
Poseidon slowly rested his forehead against yours. “I don’t know what I’m becoming… but if it’s with you, I’ll endure it.”
You wrapped your arms around him as he allowed himself—for the first time—to be held without shame. A soft smile forming on your face as you held the man close.
And beneath the moonlight, a god known for his silence finally began to breathe.

The Spirits of the Streams (EPIC!Poseidon Fic)
Tumblr media
I need to stop writing such description heavy chapters, they always take me so damn long. It's a good thing the central plot point of this installment isn't creating an intricate woven tapestry that is supposed to capture the beauty of Poseidon's domain ahahahahahahaha (i'm so sorry)
Anyways, to make up for the wait, have a fic preview with some flirty banter under the cut lol.

“I am almost positive that you specifically said you would be honored to be my guide yesterday, my lord,” you recalled with a playful sneer. Poseidon stopped beside you and spun on his heels to loom over your form, an equally playful glint in his glare. You found yourself swallowed up in his shadow, the air chilling just enough for you to feel your hairs stand on end—at least, that’s why you told yourself your arms had erupted in goose flesh.
“Did I, now?” Poseidon teased. “Are you sure your memory isn’t failing you, pet?” He placed his hand atop your headband as he said this before slowly stroking down the side of your face to cup your cheek. You leaned into his touch and uncrossed your arms, placing your fingers on his forearm as he lifted his free hand to snake around your waist.
“I would hope not, sire,” you hummed, letting your gaze drop to his lips before returning to his striking blue eyes. “How else would I be able to incorporate all of this into your tribute?”
Poseidon’s chest rumbled with a low chuckle that you could almost feel in your bones. “All of this, dear one?” he crooned, pulling you further into his chest as he moved to tilt your chin up with a single finger. You leaned forward onto your toes and your sandals dug into the firm earth beneath you, the long blades of grass tickling the tops of your feet.
“Perhaps some parts can stay between us,” you whispered, drawing ever closer to your god and his gorgeous face. His lips quirked upward into a sultry smirk and the warmth of his breath spread across your cheeks as he exhaled through his nose. Though you had moved further inland, the briney scent of the ocean had followed its master, enveloping your senses and transporting you back into the embrace of his infinite domain. You slid your fingers down the smooth skin of his forearm and back up toward his shoulder, relishing in the toned feeling of his bicep as your palm passed over the band tattooed around it. You lifted your opposite hand and placed it on Poseidon’s hip, earning you an amused huff as you gripped the curve of his pelvis through the finely woven linen of his chiton. Poseidon shifted to hold your chin with his thumb and pointer finger, gradually pulling you toward him as your eyes began to flutter closed.
Your burgeoning moment of intimacy was cut short by the sound of movement coming from the treeline, much to your chagrin. Poseidon released you at breakneck speed, standing tall and alert with his right arm flexed at his side. You instinctively stepped behind him as your muscles tensed in anticipation. The air fell still until all at once, the bushes parted and three figures hurtled towards you both, a blur of pastel shades and sparkles.
“King Poseidon!”
